Ruth Jury Scott (27 March 1909 – 18 June 2003) was a lifelong environmental activist, naturalist, and conservationist. She later served on the executive committee of the Rachel Carson Trust for the Living Environment, Inc. Ruth Scott's involvements in environmental organizations spanned local, state, and national spheres, and she held numerous leadership positions throughout her life.

Amy Denio (born June 9, 1961) is a Seattle-based multi-instrumental composer of soundtracks for modern dance, film and theater, as well as a songwriter and music improviser. Her inspirations include world music, and is mainly known as a vocalist, accordionist and saxophone-player. Among her current musical involvements are The Tiptons Sax Quartet (formerly The Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet) and Die Resonanz Stanonczi, a radical folk group based in Salzburg, Austria. She has also collaborated repeatedly with the Pat Graney Dance Company, David Dorfman Dance Company, Victoria Marks, and with many other choreographers.

In 1954 in Pretoria, Klaas Mtsweni, a Zulu, became the first indigenous South African to become a Baháʼí. Padmanabhan Palpu was born on 2 November 1863 in Petta, Trivandrum, then in the Kingdom of Travancore, India. In his memoirs, Mujib portrayed vividly many aspects of his life in and out of prison. Władysław Skłodowski, daughters (from left) Maria, Bronisława, , 1890 Maria Skłodowska was born in Warsaw, in Congress Poland in the Russian Empire, on 7 November 1867, the fifth and youngest child of well-known teachers Bronisława, née Boguska, and Władysław Skłodowski. The elder siblings of Maria (nicknamed Mania) were Zofia (born 1862, nicknamed Zosia), (born 1863, nicknamed Józio), Bronisława (born 1865, nicknamed Bronia) and Helena (born 1866, nicknamed Hela). On both the paternal and maternal sides, the family had lost their property and fortunes through patriotic involvements in Polish national uprisings aimed at restoring Poland's independence (the most recent had been the January Uprising of 1863–65). Since the mid-19th century, the colonial state of Dutch East Indies began its involvements in Bali, as they launched their campaign against Balinese minor kingdoms one by one. He served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly.Punjab's leader of Opposition H S Phoolka resigns, wants to help anti-Sikh riot victims He is known for spearheading what is described as "one of the longest and most torturous legal battle" and "crusades" to gain justice for the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh pogroms and fighting individual cases on the involvement of Congress-I leaders H. K. L. Bhagat, Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler despite the government cover-up. He received threatening letters for unearthing involvements of ruling political party leaders in what the Asian Age called "the Mother of all Cover-ups" in a front-page story.

Luca Bercovici (born February 22, 1957) is a multi-role American filmmaker, having worked extensively as director, writer, producer and actor. one of his earliest involvements in filmmaking; In 1979, Bercovici spent six months in Japan, as a dialogue director for the miniseries, Shogun (1980), working primarily with the leading actress, Yôko Shimada, who was awarded the Golden Globe for her performance. Hopkinson comperes a show, "Stronger Than Dirt" (a reference to his beloved Mummies), on Sydney radio station 2SER which features music from the last two centuries including Pre WW2 Folk and Jazz, Obscure Psychedelia, Gutter Punk, "Blue" Comedy records and Asian Go Go music.

The present armed forces trace their roots to the early 20th century, yet the history of Polish armed forces in their broadest sense stretches back much further. After the partitions of Poland, during the period from 1795 until 1918, Polish military was recreated several times during national insurrections that included the November Uprising of 1830, and the January Uprising in 1863, and the Napoleonic Wars that saw the formation of the Polish Legions in Italy. The Congress Poland, being part of the Russian Empire with a certain degree of autonomy, had a separate Polish army in the years 1815–1830, which was disbanded after the unsuccessful November Uprising. The novel explores the deterioration of a marriage doomed from the outset by the imbalance between the emotional involvements of the two partners. Fogg finished sixth overall in the 2008-09 Championship, 8th in the 2009-10 Championship, and 4th in the 2010-12 Championship after leading the points table virtually all season. Fogg currently holds the lap record for the New Zealand V8s Championship series at Manfeild Autocourse of 1:12.810 (2008)).

The diplomatic crisis extends to Qatar's involvements in advocating the releases of Internationally recognized terrorists such as Libya's Abdelhakim Belhadj, Leader of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group – a terrorist organization, who was arrested by the CIA in 2004 in Malaysia, and involvement in the 2011 Libyan civil war, in which Qatar sent aid in the form of Weapons using Ali al-Sallabi ( Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya ) as a conduit for dispersal of the weapons for Islamists within Libya – specifically (Ansar Al Sharia) during the Libyan civil war which eventually helped with the downfall of Libya's Muammar Gaddafi. Supporting this claim, The Libyan National army spokesperson, Col.Ahmed Musmari accused Qatar of sponsoring terrorism by providing and arming Terrorists in Libya. Alongside the List of people placed on the terrorist watchlist by the Arab nations and their Anti- Terror Quartet [ATQ], Sadiq Al-Ghariani, the radical Salafi Imam of Libya and his TV channel Tannasoh, are also included in the List for incitement of violence and spreading radical Islamic propaganda.

He taught at or has served on the adjunct faculties of several graduate business schools in America and abroad, including University of Maryland's Robert H. Indeed, they had an active long-standing political agenda of their own including formal membership and involvements in women's organizations such as the Canadian Congress of Women. The political work of LA has largely gone un-noticed even by Auxiliaries of subsequent generations. For example, during the 1983 Copper Strike in Morenci, Arizona, the Morenci Miners Women's Auxiliary fed and clothed families, which served to build solidarity and commitment among the strikers and their families, but also actively maintained the picket line and organized rallies to raise public awareness and support. The women spoke of the latter set of activities as ‘new’ political work of the auxiliary: > We don’t just do what the auxiliary used to do....Aulette, J. & Mills, T. > (1988). In 1944, one of the largest IUMMSW Auxiliary locals was established in Sudbury with a membership of approximately 300 members. Local 117 charter of the LA was granted at the same time the largest local (598) of IUMMSW was certified as the bargaining agent for approximately 10,000 (or ¾) employees of International Nickel Company and Falconbridge.

Jimmy Sham, the convenor of the Civil Human Rights Front, which organised June's million-strong peaceful marches, won a seat in Lek Yuen. Andrew Chiu of the Democratic Party, was re-elected in Tai Koo Shing West, while Jocelyn Chau, aged 23, who was also arrested on the campaign trail, defeated long-time pro-Beijing incumbent Hui Ching-on in City Garden. Richard Chan, dubbed as "airport uncle" by the press, who was pepper-sprayed in the face by riot police during the election rally held on 2 November and later arrested while campaigning, won his seat in the Lam Tsuen Valley constituency in Tai Po. Other prominent pro-democratic activists, including Tommy Cheung Sau-yin, a former student leader who was among the nine Occupy activists convicted for public nuisance earlier this year for his part in the 2014 Umbrella Revolution, defeated incumbent Wilson Wong Wai-shun, who was seen with the attackers in Yuen Lung during the mob attack on 21 July. Another former student leader Lester Shum, known for his involvements in the 2014 Umbrella Revolution, won in the Hoi Bun constituency in Tsuen Wan.

Season five introduced Nicholas Quinn, who reveals to have been the original agent chosen for the Intersect project before the computer was destroyed by Bryce Larkin.

Justice Brennan filed a lengthy and historically significant concurrence, taking seventy-three pages to elaborate his ideas about what the Framers intended in the formation of the First and Fourteenth Amendments, gauging the value of religion in American culture, reviewing legal precedents, and suggesting a course for future church-state cases. Brennan focused on the history of the Establishment Clause to counter numerous critics of the Court's Engel decision, who pointed out that prayer in public schools, as well as in many other areas of public life, was a longstanding practice going back to the framing of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. He professed to be aware of the "ambiguities in the historical record",Quoting author in and felt a modern-day interpretation of the First Amendment was warranted. In defense of that approach, Brennan stated: In answer to critics of a broad interpretation of the prohibitions against government in the realm of religion, Brennan said, "nothing in the text of the Establishment Clause supports the view that the prevention of the setting up of an official church was meant to be the full extent of the prohibitions against official involvements in religion".

Other less well-received storylines in 1997, included Nola's stalking of Buzz (Lisa Brown left in January 1998), Vanessa's pretending to be dead (and briefly running off and hiding in a convent in Switzerland), and Michelle's finding of the recipient of her deceased mother's heart, Jesse Blue, and then falling in love with him. Jesse moved onto Drew Jacobs who turned out to be Ben Warren's long lost daughter via his long ago one night stand with former prostitute Selena Davis. During the course of this storyline Drew searching for her real parents would adopt a kid named Max Nickerson and eventually become engaged to Jesse Blue Drew, Jesse and Max were written out in July 2000.Selena Davis left for parts unknown in November 2000 after relaying the news that Drew (who had moved from New York with Max) and Jesse were no longer together and confessing to Blake Marler about her past involvements with Carmen's late Husband Miguel and she giving birth to his illegitimate son Miguel Santos Jr who was given up for adoption and though never mentioned it was strongly hinted at that Danny and Pilar were not Miguels children and that Mick Santos was Selena and Miguel's long lost son.
