Robert O. "Bob" Naegele Jr. (1939–2018) was the founding owner of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League. Naegele grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and was a star goaltender at Minnetonka High School. A 1961 graduate of Dartmouth College, Naegele inherited his father's billboard company and eventually became wealthy in his own right. Later, he was the owner of Rollerblade, an in-line skate manufacturer, and prospered during the in-line skating craze of the 1980s and 1990s.

The pathway is dark at night, has places where traffic may be hazardous, and has been involved in the investigation of more than one homicide. The Pathway patrol is a volunteer organization based in Ottawa, Ontario. Benjamin Macé (born 16 May 1989 in Bordeaux), also known as "Benj", is a French speed skater and short track speed skater. He competed in short track speed skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics and speed skating at the 2014 Winter Olympics. His fascination with speed skating started serendipitously, while on a roller-skate outing with his brother and father, at a young age of six at the Gujan-Mestras Club. The three of them were amazed with the sight of "in- line skate" and then Mace joined Roller Skating Dijon Bourgogne Club.

She left her job at General Re and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and, beginning in September 2008, as a tutor at the Julia A. Stark Elementary School. She was also a member of the Glenbrook Neighborhood Association. In honor of her husband and other victims, Eckert planted birch trees near a trail in Cove Island Park where she and Rooney learned to in-line skate. At the Glenbrook train station, where her husband commuted to work, she commissioned a mural and planted a sycamore tree as a memorial.
