Deerkin is a cousin of huntswoman Laurel. He associated with the Piebalds, ambushing Laurel, Fitz, and The Fool, even shooting Laurel in the shoulder before he was stopped by Fitz. Fitz was going to torture him to discover where the Piebalds had gone with Dutiful, but Laurel and Deerkin escaped during the night. When he found out about the true motives of the Piebalds, he left them and helped Laurel bring people to help Fitz and rescue Dutiful.

After the war, the couple lived most of the year at his ancestral home, Mooresfort House in South Tipperary. They had four daughters (Ruth, Celia, Edith and June) and one son (Arthur). Feilding became an active member of the British Legion as well as being President of the Tipperary Jubilee Nursing Association and the local Agricultural show Society. She had always been a keen huntswoman and this continued in Ireland where she was a regular feature at hunt meets, especially the Scarteen Hunt.

Neill married his first wife, Jane Shuttleworth, a kennel huntswoman of the Poona and Kirkee Hounds, in 1943 and had two daughters, Jill and Sue, who survive him. He is also survived by his second wife, Anne (née O’Leary), whom he married in 1982, and their son, Michael. He was a keen golfer and was past captain and president of Lindrick Golf Club, between Sheffield and Worksop. He served on numerous committees of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the sport’s ruling body, and was its captain in 1981.

His son, Wellington Stapleton-Cotton, 2nd Viscount Combermere, did some further work on the house in the 1870s, but the family's fortunes declined in the later 19th century. The second Viscount twice rented the abbey to the Empress Elisabeth of Austria in 1881 and 1882. A total of £10,000-worth of alterations were made for her stays, including installing hot water and an electric bell system; the costs were met by the Emperor. A keen huntswoman, the Empress's 80-strong retinue included 25 grooms, and she hunted frequently with the Cheshire Hunt.

Chade's other illegitimate son, Lantern is hidden even before birth by his mother, Huntswoman Laurel, who disappears in mysterious circumstances and is later revealed to have died shortly after giving birth. Before her death, however, she managed to convince a lesser lordling, Lord Vigilant, of acknowledging her child, believing that her son will be safer if it is not known he is Chade's son. Hence his name is changed to FitzVigilant and his bloodlines kept secret. Lord Vigilant later marries another woman and has children with her, prompting her to attempt to eliminate FitzVigilant, for he would inherit his father's small fortune.

Duffield starred as Lara Darwin in feature film C.O.O.L.I.O (2014), alongside Geoff Bell, Brain Croucher and Vikki Michelle. In August of 2015, Duffield played as a trafficked victim in the British action film Skin Traffik (also titled A Hitman in London), featuring Mickey Rourke, Daryl Hannah, Eric Roberts, Dominique Swain, Michael Madsen and Jeff Fahey. In September of 2015, Duffield took time off to work on writing her own action feature films as well as train in martial arts. In 2016, Duffield appeared as a Huntswoman in the action adventure film The Huntsman: Winter's War, starring Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain.
