Haris Xanthoudakis (; born 1950) is a Greek composer. A native of Piraeus, Xanthoudakis studied with Iannis Xenakis, among others. Besides music, he has worked in the fields of philology, glottology, semiotics, and art history. Xanthoudakis taught in various conservatories around Europe before becoming, in 1992, professor of music at the Ionian University on Corfu.

Carla Bazzanella (Turin, 6 August 1947) is an Italian linguist. After graduating in classics from the University of Turin in 1971, Carla Bazzanella became a lecturer and researcher at the University of Pavia. She held this post from 1976 to 1983. After that she moved back to Turin, and taught glottology and philosophy of language until 1998.

Battisti was born in Trento, Austria-Hungary in 1882 (nowadays Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy). He studied linguistics at the University of Vienna and founded, along with Ettore Tolomei, the nationalist journal Archivio per l'Alto Adige in 1906. In the early 1920s he became professor of glottology of the University of Florence. Throughout his life he published numerous books and articles on a wide gamut of linguistic topics, ranging from phonetics to Italian dialectology to toponomastics and Vulgar Latin.

Born in Berat in 1908, after having accomplished elementary studies in Albania he went to Italy, where he finished his secondary studies and then graduated in glottology in the University of Turin. His doctorate thesis "Mbi shtresëzimet në gjuhën shqipe" was written under the guide of Professor Matteo Bartoli. Resuli returned in Albania in the 1930s and taught Albanian language in Elbasan Normal School, now Aleksandër Xhuvani University, as well as in Shkodër, and Tiranë. In 1939, he went to Rome to become assistant professor of Albanian language, working there for 10 years.

Together with Patrizio Fariselli (prepared piano), Paolo Tofani (guitar and synthesizer), Paul Lytton (percussion), and Steve Lacy (sax soprano), he performed a concert in the "Aula Magna" at the University of Milan. The live recording of that performance, Event '76, was published by Cramps Records in 1979. In this period, Stratos was involved in the study of psychoanalysis and was researching the relationship between spoken language and the psyche. Stratos spoke at several seminars at the Istituto di Glottologia e Fonetica ("Institute of Glottology and Phonetics") at the University of Padua, in Italy, formulating his own and true "pedagogy of the voice".
