Her use of salvaged carpet for surface material to draw into it with a knife a blueprint plan of a 1940's modernist high-density concrete block of flats, then presenting it by hanging and draping it from floor to ceiling and transforming the blue print into a three dimensional drawing in space as a floppy, soft and bodily object — quite the opposite to the hard-edged concrete Brutalism style building the plan was designed for people to live in.

With its hide-covered furniture and lamps hanging from chains and vines draping a stone wall, the Jungle Room did not disappoint, but downstairs was the real action: a room with three televisions embedded in the walls, a sectional sofa with sequin-bedecked pillows, a mirror-topped coffee table bearing a bizarre porcelain creature of indeterminate origin gazing toward the door, and a billiards room with walls and ceiling entirely upholstered in pleated floral fabric that might have been fashioned by a seamstress on mushrooms.

When Big Man on Campus Bryce (Justin Prentice) rapes Hannah's former best friend Jessica (Alisha Boe), we see it from three points of view: first from the perspective of Hannah, hidden drunk and terrified in the closet, hearing sounds and seeing glimpses through the slats of the closet door; from the perspective of Jessica's boyfriend Justin, who briefly bursts into the room to see Bryce draping himself over Jessica's semi-conscious body; and finally in Jessica's hazy recollection, with Bryce's hands pinning her to the bed.

Turning to another showstopper, "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II" (1912), once your eye strays from the imposing oval of Bloch-Bauer's black hat, the undulating column of fabric draping her body, her sleep-kissed eyes and parted lips, you begin to notice that the legs are too short to be proportionate with the arms, that the tonal contrast between the light and dark shades of green on the floral backdrop is singularly unattractive, and the paint application, with smears of white haphazardly mixed in with the greens, looks greasy and out of place beside the more refined passages defining Bloch-Bauer's figure, especially the pearlescent whites, greens, blues, and yellows of her stole.
