The nudity of her feminine figures, 'Nayikas' was fiercely commented on and debated over- was it part of the country's spiritual tradition or was she continuing to be the quintessential rebel? Gogi herself gave no explanations as the work speaks for itself.
The suns generally have smiling faces and painted in bright colors. The moon appears in all phases generally with a coquettish expression and with red lips and flowers. Even more distinctive is a mermaid like figure called a Tlanchana. These figures are based on a fantastical creature of pre Hispanic origin whose name means “lady of the sweet waters.” According to indigenous lore, a Tlanchana lives in fresh water areas and attracts men with her beauty then taking them down into the depths of the water.
Alex Miller from NME disapproved, claiming that the "clueless Fergie possesses Stefani for [...] the woefully oddball 'Yummy'", while Norman Mayers from Prefix opined that it was "bizarre". While comparing the five The Neptunes-produced tracks on the album, Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic found it to be "rather embarrassing" and "cloying and crass", rather than "effortless and effervescent". Lucy Davies, writing for BBC Music, described it as a "bland filler" that "sums her up [as] coquettish, amusing, annoying and hip wiggling in equal measure".
Retrieved on 25 November 2009. The Observer wrote that it "is raucous, leering, crude and, to my mind, largely misjudged, with Rupert Everett playing Miss Fritton as a coquettish transvestite with the manners of a Mayfair madam. The attempts to shock us fail, though Cheltenham Ladies College may well be affronted to hear one of its teachers say 'between you and I'. But the preview was packed with girls aged from seven to 14 who found it hilarious, and especially enjoyed Russell Brand."Philip French, The Observer, 23 December 2007.
The belle juive is shaped by her relations with adjacent characters, most commonly by a Christian love interest or a villainous Jewish father. There are two main categories of the belle juive; the first is “positive”, and describes her as noble, intelligent, pure and loyal, perhaps linking her to the Virgin Mary, or to the general principle of Christian martyrdom. The second is overtly negative, describing her as sly, coquettish, overly sexual, dangerous and destructive. Their differences aside, both types serve the same purpose; namely the distraction of the Christian hero.
The book then moves back in time to the reign of Edward VI, as lovely young Celia de Bohun and her guardian aunt take up residence with the noble Catholic family of Anthony Browne as "poor relations." Celia is a fascinating and believable character, full of contradictions and human failings. She is headstrong and impulsive; innocent but coquettish; and can easily attract male attention. She creates a scandal when she becomes infatuated with the family chaplain, Stephen Marsdon, who in turn desires Celia but does not want to break his vow of chastity.
Pisemsky's first romantic affairs, according to his autobiography, concerned various cousins. After the University, he developed an interest in what he termed "George Sandean free love" but soon became disillusioned and decided to marry, "selecting for this purpose a girl not of a coquettish type, coming from a good, even if not wealthy family," namely Yekaterina Pavlovna Svinyina, daughter of Pavel Svinyin, the founder of Otechestvennye Zapiski magazine. They married on October 11, 1848. "My wife is portrayed partially in Troubled Seas, as Evpraxia, who's also nicknamed Ledeshka (Piece of Ice)," he wrote.
They have released numerous splits and EPs, as well as four albums, releasing music on their own Guerilla Asso, Asian Man Records and Crash Disques. The band has toured widely (France, Europe, Japan, Canada, USA) and played over 1 000 live shows. Guerilla Poubelle has consistently refused to register with the French royalties collection society SACEM, in line with their values, despite selling a significant number of records for an independent band.

On the one hand, women wanted to be slender, but on the other, they wanted prominent breasts and hips and to be voluptuous. Many of these women, no matter the contradiction in their beliefs around beauty, strove to maintain a beautiful external physical appearance for the purpose of finding a good husband. She wanted a body that was sexual, but that also signified she was caring and loving. At the same time, her thoughts around her own body had to be guarded as there were social consequences for appearing vain or coquettish.
In 1885, an exhibition was held in Paris, to give the residents an opportunity to show off their work. His choice of subject matter was strange, and some said heretical: "Christ Weeping Over the Futility of His Sacrifice", in which Jesus was portrayed without divine qualities. Portrait of Claude Debussy (1886) The following year, he presented a "Saint Martha", which was criticized on the grounds that she was too coquettish. In 1887, his "Mass at Bolsena" (after Raphael) was deemed to have been derived from the least interesting part of the original.
According to press articles of the timeNon signé, « Le plus beau présent de Paris : la Minaudière », blog L'Histoire des Van Cleef et des Arpels de Paris, lire en ligne (page consultée le 16 juin 2011) the minaudière was invented by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1934. Charles Arpels was inspired by watching Florence Gould, third wife of philanthropist Frank Jay Gould, toss several small, loose makeup items into a tin box. The word "minaudière" was a French term for a coquettish woman, from the word "minauder" (to flirt or simper).
The Normanton Incident fanned an increase in anti- British and anti-foreign sentiment in Japan,Wakabayashi, Modern Japanese Thought, pp. 86 and was upheld as an example of the urgent need to revise the Unequal Treaties which Japan had signed with various foreign powers, especially with regards to clauses pertaining to extraterritoriality.Austin, Negotiating with Imperialism The incident was picked up by the Solidarity Movement Party, then in its infant stages. They raised the issue all across the land, criticizing Inoue's handling of the situation as "coquettish" and "cowardly" diplomacy.
Ruth Welting, by contrast, was ideally cast as an "enchanting" Philine, bringing "just the right coquettish charm" to the role of the happy-go-lucky actress. Welting sang with the "light insouciance" of the great French soubrettes of yesteryear, and delivered her coloratura and trills with an expert, irresistible brilliance. As Frédéric, Frederica von Stade sang "breezily and cleanly" in her dance through his famous Gavotte. Her "delightfully fresh and liquid sound" made Blyth wonder how she would have fared if CBS had allotted Mignon to her instead of to Horne.
With her "fast vibrato and bright coquettish voice", she was a poor choice for mélodies that demanded a vocal flavour more like burgundy and less like prosecco. Gérard Souzay too, "tired and old", was a less than perfect advocate for the music of Debussy's novice years. Things went more happily when one of the other three artists sang. Elly Ameling was good in Debussy's juvenilia, better in the masterpieces of his maturity and touching in the "appealing innocence" that she brought to the wartime carol that he had composed not long before his death.
A Catholic priest named Father Walter, a close friend of the family, is also present. The situation is complicated by the illness of Gabi's grandmother, the matriarch of the family, and the reason why Gabi left school in the first place.

Dedicated to Franz Liszt, this portrait of a vain representative of the noble families of Faubourg Saint-Germain, was inspired by the Duchess of Castries with whom Balzac had a failed romance.

During the same interview, he talked about the song, saying "It is a coquettish song, it presents a party, union of cultures, it is energetic".

He also viewed that Beyoncé's collaboration with various record producers explores new directions in contemporary music, doing more reinventing than revisiting. Like DeCurtis' review, however, Drumming pointed out that "most of the disc's missteps" are in its latter part. Slant Magazines Sal Cinquemani wrote that "[Beyoncé] is allowed more room to experiment vocally as a solo artist, exploring softer registers and lathering on the coquettish persona that was only hinted at on Destiny's Child tracks like 'Bootylicious.'". Steve Jones of USA Today stated, "Beyoncé succeeds by showing greater depth as a songwriter and broader range as a singer".
She was regarded as one of the greatest treasures of Cantonese opera and Hong Kong cinema. She was famous for her unique sweet, crisp, smooth and coquettish "Hung tone" () of singing which incorporated the techniques of Beijing Opera, Kunqu, and Western opera singing method. She was invited to leave a handprint at the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong. The new Brown Dog by Nicola Hicks On 12 December 1985, over 75 years after the statue's removal, a new memorial to the brown dog was unveiled by actress Geraldine James in Battersea Park behind the Pump House. Created by sculptor Nicola Hicks and commissioned by the National Anti-Vivisection Society and the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection, the new bronze dog is mounted on a Portland stone plinth and based on Hicks's own terrier, Brock. Peter Mason described it as "a coquettish contrast to its down-to-earth predecessor"."Monument to the Little Brown Dog, Battersea Park", Public Monument and Sculpture Association's National Recording Project; .

However Pretty Sammy was at a disadvantage, as this was her first battle and they began to love her to death as well. But when Tenchi was able to reach out to them and they remembered when Tenchi had comforted them which Pretty Sammy could sense and was able to restore them to normal with her Pretty Coquettish Bomber. The term "Love-Love Monsters" is originally applied to the monsters for the first episode of Pretty Sammy OVA. But past that point it is used as a generic term for monsters spawned by Ramia or those who possess her powers (like Misa and Hiroshi).

Strauss described her as "very complex, very feminine, a little perverse, a little coquettish, never like herself, at every minute different from how she had been a moment before". However, the marriage was happy and she was a great source of inspiration to her husband in works up to and including the Four Last Songs. In particular, Strauss portrayed de Ahna both as the hero's companion in Ein Heldenleben and in several sections of Symphonia Domestica. Strauss's opera Intermezzo (Dresden, 1924) provides a thinly veiled portrait of their marriage, and Strauss credited his wife's voice as a muse for the roles Salome and the Countess Madeleine in Capriccio.

The team made several shorts in 1909 with Linder in various roles, such as a blind elderly man and a coquettish young woman. But they soon discovered that the character of "Max" was the most popular with audiences and stuck with him from then on. Among the popular "Max" films made by Linder and Grasnier in 1909 are A Young Lady Killer and The Cure for Cowardice By 1910, Linder had proved himself to Pathé and was quickly becoming one of the most popular film actors in the world. When Gasnier was sent to the United States later that year to oversee Pathé's productions there, Lucien Nonguet took over as Linder's director.
" Clover Hope from Billboard magazine wrote that on Love Life is "at its best when the beats settle like soft caresses and Tamia's vocals float into breathy exhales [...] Extra spice like that preserves the freshness when lagging, predictable ballads threaten the mood. As an ode to nuptial bliss, the album is both convincing and surprisingly coquettish." In his review for Knoxville News Sentinel, author Chuck Campbell remarked that Love Life "isn’t especially ambitious. It’s an even-keeled adult (though not vulgar) album steeped in bliss and sensuality." He compared the album to Janet Jackson’s "That's the Way Love Goes" period (1993) but felt that its "consistent tone works for and against Love Life.
The pub originally opened in 1907 as the Andromeda Saloon, where "angling executives, sharp-talking politicians and homesick sailors all rubbed elbows while brazen prostitutes flaunted coquettish charms at the brass rail of the ornate bar." In 1913, the Andromeda gained wide respect when Jack Dempsey, the future heavyweight champion, gained employment there. It is even rumored that, in 1939, Baby Face Nelson was captured in the pub by the FBI. During Prohibition the Andromeda Saloon was one of very few pubs that survived, and it did so by calling itself the Andromeda Cafe – which provided classy seafood fare such as fresh oysters and clams, all the while still serving alcohol discreetly.
Early in her career, Frau Antje resembled an exemplary housewife or even a home economics teacher. From an authoritative position she addressed herself to housewives, and the world portrayed in those advertisements was typical of the post-World War II period, whose values were cleanness, sobriety, propriety, with the family at the center. In the mid-1960s she became a more coquettish figure, even enticing the viewer into her bedroom (while she's holding a cheese, of course). Of more importance in the ads of the 1970s and 1980s was the stereotypical portrayal of the Dutch landscape, with green meadows, blue canals, and black and white cows; it is in this landscape that Antje presents the viewer with a table full of cheese.
Stadionul Municipal Until 1966 FCM Bacău (named Dinamo Bacău) used to play its home matches on Steaua Roșie Stadium, with a capacity of 5,000 people, but moved subsequently on the Municipal Stadium in Bacău, with a capacity of 17,500 seats. Seen as a coquettish stadium of the country, especially during Sechelariu's era, when the owner of the team Dumitru Sechelariu renovated, modernized it and assured the installation of a floodlight system. Between 2001 and 2004, the stadium was named as Dumitru Sechelariu, after the name of the eccentric businessman, mayor of Bacău and owner of FCM. Death of Sechelariu it meant broadly the death of football from Bacău, after FCM, the stadium was also abandoned, being the victim of an unsuccessful modernization project.
With her henchmen in tow (one being Amagasaki), Kiyone interrupts a lover's kiss between Sasami and Tenchi, stealing the boy away with her magical powers and cackling madly as they escape in her bicycle-powered spaceship. By transforming into Pretty Sammy, Sasami is able to stop them cold with the Pretty Coquettish Bomber, saving Tenchi from the ample witch's clutches. In spite of gaining a small measure of popularity in Tenchi fandom, this Kiyone never makes a second appearance in later incarnations of the series. During the Pretty Sammy OVAs, Kiyone – as (she was given the first name of her Japanese voice actress, Yuri Amano, while her first name became her family name) – works alongside Mihoshi at CD Vision, the music store owned by Sasami and Tenchi's mother Chihiro Kawai.

Lum has fallen completely in love with Ataru, and refers to him only - in English - as . (In the Spanish anime, her name for Ataru is "Tesoro" (literally "Treasure") and in the Spanish manga, she calls him "Querido" ("Beloved") while both in the Italian anime and manga she calls him "Tesoruccio" (literally "Little Treasure", the diminutive being a coquettish sign of affection, thus being more akin to "Beloved Treasure" or "Dear Treasure". However, in BBC's Lum the Invader Girl English dub, she refers to Ataru by his given name as well as calling him "Darling."). Since she considers him to be her husband, she violently electrocutes him whenever he looks at or flirts with another girl (or if he insults her or does something to make her unhappy), but always forgives him in the end (she electrocutes him less frequently as the series progresses).
The text is not particularly strong, but greater forces than artistic value (let alone reason) formed the inspiration: Bartók was madly in love with the poetess. > INTERMEZZO The genesis of Here down in the Valley > Starting in the summer of 1915, Bartók (by that time 34 years old) undertook > collection trips of Slovakian folk music in the country while staying in the > mansion of Gombossy, the chief forester of the comitatus Zólyom, near the > town of Kisgaram (now Hronec in central Slovakia). Tomb of Nima Yushij in Yush, Mazandaran In general, Nima reformed the rhythm and allowed the length of the line to be determined by the depth of the thought being expressed rather than by the conventional Persian meters that had dictated the length of a bayt (verse) since the early days of Persian poetry. Furthermore, he emphasized current issues, especially nuances of oppression and suffering, at the expense of the beloved's moon face or the ever-growing conflict between the lovers, the beloved, and the rival. In other words, Nima realized that while some readers were enthused by the charms of the lover and the coquettish ways of the beloved, the majority preferred heroes with whom they could identify. Nima actually wrote quite a few poems in the traditional Persian poetry style and as critiqued by Abdolali Dastgheib, showed his ability well.
Eilish's vocal style on When We All Fall Asleep has frequently been described as soft and whispered by music critics. Neil McCormick of The Daily Telegraph stated that the singer's tone "can shift from coquettish to threatening, playfully ironic to emotionally sincere in a breath", adding that her "close-to-the-mic singing is enhanced by layers of ethereal harmonies without swamping a sense of intimacy." It has further been likened to ASMR; while some reviewers simply stated that her voice reminded them of the sensation, others stated that they experienced "tingles" listening to Eillish's vocals, with Helen Holmes of Observer citing the singer's "little giggles and intonations, and the way her intonation 'falls off' at the end of sentences" as the reasons. The album is built around O'Connell's production which frequently incorporates amplified bass, minimalist percussion, and additional foley and acoustic sounds.
She was married in 1770 to General Major Baron Georg Gustaf Wrangel af Adinal. From 1774, she was one of the six head ladies in waiting of the court of the Queen, Sophia Magdalena of Denmark. A talented Dilettante artist, she was inducted into the Royal Academy of Arts. At court, she was described as intelligent and cultivated but also very coquettish and particular about rank and attention, and it was said that she participated with eager in the pleasures and intrigues of the court. At least for a period, she played an important part in the royal court: she is frequently mentioned in the memoirs of the time and was the target of two caricatures by Johan Frederik von Nolcke: »La mère comme il y en a point Lionnopolis 1789» and »Meren désenchantée ou la naissance de Lion. Stockholm 1790».
Before Sue’s penultimate scandal – her marriage to C.C. Bowen – she participated in a number of events whose details circulated around Charleston. Of much gossip between Sue’s aunts was her explosive temper during family visits, her extravagant and coquettish trips North with sister Caroline, and her stormy relationship with mother Jane Amelia. Many of these events were only hinted at, or briefly described, yet the facts alluded to suggest a connection between Sue’s writing and her own personal life. Some of the more shocking and/or disastrous occurrences are included below: In 1854, following the success of Busy Moments of an Idle Woman, James Petigru toasted his daughter Sue as “quick in conception and easy in delivery.” According to family gossip, Sue raised her glass and toasted her father as “a man of large parts and deep penetration.
As springtime begins to break up the ice on a frozen river, a handsome young novice monk rescues a naked girl who has apparently fallen into the water. She disappears suddenly, but returns time and time again over the ensuing months—first demonstrating her dolphin-like swimming ability (and her surprising technique of catching fish in her teeth!) and then winning the young man's heart with her coquettish flirting and beautiful singing. The young monk's elderly master comes to understand that the rusalka is actually the drowned spirit of a girlfriend he himself had loved and betrayed as a youth, and takes steps to protect his naive apprentice from her supernatural revenge. But when the mermaid recognizes the old monk as the man who had once jilted her, it may not be the young apprentice who is in mortal danger.
Experiments with S.M. revealed no fear in response to exposure and handling of snakes and spiders (including tarantulas), a walk through a haunted attraction (Waverly Hills Sanatorium, specifically), or fear-inducing film clips (e.g., The Blair Witch Project, The Shining, and The Silence of the Lambs), instead only interest, curiosity, and excitement, though she also expressed emotions appropriate to the film content such as happiness and disgust when viewing non fear-inducing film clips. Research has revealed that S.M. is not immune to all fear, however; along with other patients with bilateral amygdala damage, she was found to experience fear and panic attacks of greater intensity than the neurologically healthy controls in response to simulation of the subjective experience of suffocation via carbon dioxide inhalation, feelings which she and the others described as completely novel to them. S.M. is described as very outgoing, extremely friendly, and uninhibited, as well as "somewhat coquettish" (playfully flirtatious) and having an abnormally high desire and tendency to approach others.

Majokko Megu-chan was born of a proposal by Hiromi Productions, which had previously produced the less successful magical girl series Miracle Shoujo Limit-chan (1973–74) with Toei, to create a magical-girl series with a slightly naughtier edge than previous shows of the genre. The influence of Megu-chan's Toei stablemate, Go Nagai's Cutie Honey, was apparent in several aspects, from the somewhat racy lyrics of the opening theme song (performed, as was Cutie Honey's, by Yoko Maekawa) to the fact that the two series shared many of the same staff. While not as overtly sexualized as Nagai's heroine,Megu-chan was surprisingly voyeuristic for its period. Megu was frequently depicted in various states of undress and the series featured scenes which anticipated the rise of so-called fan service anime; the opening theme song itself features lyrics in which Megu boasts about her breasts and her way of manipulating boys with her looks and coquettish behaviors.
However, she also displayed a much more coquettish manner, with her new female identity allowing her to fully express aspects of the Master's ambiguous bond with the Doctor (as previously explored by Simm's incarnation in "The Sound of Drums"). While determined to torment and corrupt the Doctor with moral temptation while inflicting pain and death to humanity, she frequently referred to him as her "boyfriend" or "friend" and appeared to ultimately desire his acquiescence and company. She is also well aware that she is even more dangerously psychopathic than before, describing herself as "Bananas" to UNIT agent Osgood right before killing her ("Death in Heaven"). However, when circumstances result in Missy being kept in a vault and monitored by the Doctor after an averted execution, Missy actually comes to show signs of remorse for what she had done in the past, to the point that she prepares to side with the Doctor over her own past self ("The Doctor Falls").
