CalMaple, Voltage Pictures and Diamond Film Productions financed the film, and Swen Temmel, Nicolas Charier, Jonathan Deckter, David Dinerstein, Jason Resnick, Scott Karol, Ian Brereton, Eric Lehrman, Adam Shankman, Brian Pitt and Vassal Benford executive produced. Aviron Pictures distributed the film domestically, with Voltage Pictures handling foreign distribution.

Sédilot was born about 1599 or 1600 at Montreuil-sur-Brêche, France, and moved to Gif-sur-Yvette, Île-de-France where he worked as a gardener. He married Marie Challe Charier in 1626, and they had one child, Marie (1627–84). At some point prior to 1636, the elder Marie died and Sédilot found himself widowed. In 1636, Sédilot remarried, taking as his wife Marie Grimoult.

The "Norvic" derived its name from its home harbor, Norway Bay, and its builders, Vicker's Marine of Montreal. Seventy two feet long with a beam of twenty two feet, solid steel hull with diesel engine, built in 1922.Some of the captains who sailed the Norvic were Captains Charier and Fleming, Dudley Gamble,the Bailey brothers, Jack, George and Lincoln and Jim McKnight. For those who are familiar with the Norvic, the vessel had a very distinctive and unique bow and stern shape.

Grizzy and the Lemmings (French : Grizzy et les Lemmings) is a French CGI 3D animated series produced by (Studio Hari) and created by Antoine Rodelet and Josselin Charier for France TV and Boomerang. While being inspired by Oggy and the Cockroaches, (which was in turn inspired by Tom and Jerry), it was after The Owl & Co and The Jungle Bunch. The show is about a Grizzly Bear localized as-Grizzy and a number of Lemmings. There is no dialogue in the show ; either characters do not speak.

In 1956 and again in 1958, Thomas Fitzpatrick flew stolen aircraft from Teterboro and landed them along city streets in the Hudson Heights, Manhattan neighborhood. In June 1966, in Hasbrouck Heights, a two-engine Piper Aztec going to Teterboro Airport crashed, striking a tree and narrowly missing homes on Burton Avenue near U.S. Route 46 (US 46). The pilot sustained injuries including a skull fracture and was taken to Hackensack Hospital by ambulance. He was carrying film for Eastman Kodak. On September 23, 1981, a Ronson Aviation Bell 206B helicopter and a Seminole Air Charier Piper PA-34 airplane collided in flight over East Rutherford, about 2 nautical miles south of Teterboro Airport.
