For an illustration, we will mention two or three villages in this province: Niçpur: Gjon Dum, Pop Nikolla, Mesio Sholed, Gjon Shirqe, Gjoro Qirqe, Kole Dum, Çiko i biri i Qirkos, Petko i biri i Miko-s; Brodec: Like Mihail, Plise Nikosllav, Stanishe Xaxi, Llazar Mihail; Strazimir: Kole Shirki, Kole Riç, Gjon Shirki, Kole Mihail, Pal Mihail; Vërben: Girgj Lluç, Markin Popoviq, Vasill..., Menko...Vasko Lluç, Llazar Kolje, Petar Skore, Shuk Rusi, Kole Dornaj, Petar Riç, etc. As a result of this, so sensitive is the presence of the Albanian element in Reka Upper in the middle of the 15th century that this reasercher reaches the right conclusion when he says: The dominant non-slavic ethnic element in Upper Reka in this period(during the middle half of the 15th century) gives us a completely different picture about the issue of language the Albanian of the native Christian population of this area, which today feels and is known as Macedonian.

Pires arrived at Benfica by the hands of Janos Biri, making his debut on 19 January 1941, against Sporting. In his second season, he competed exclusivity in the Campeonato de Lisboa, not receiving a winners medal for the league title that Benfica won. In 1942–43, he received some playing time in the league, enough to win his first league, helping with one goal in 4 appearances.

198c-200 Already three years later after the full publication of the finds, the Egyptologist Biri Fay published an article demonstrating that the bust in Vienna and the statue of Amenemhat V, found on Elephantine, belong together.B. Fay: Amenemhat V -Vienna/Aswan, in: Mitteilungen des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts, Kairo 44 (1988), 67-77 The bust was most likely bought in 1821 and came shortly after to Vienna. The head is first mentioned in an old museum inventory dating back to 1824 and is there identified as female bust.
There appear to have been at least two mutually intelligible dialects. Warrongo belongs to the Pama-Nyungan (macro)family. The most closely related languages are Gugu Badhun (90% lexical sharing in terms of Hale's 99-item vocabulary) and Gujal (94% lexical sharing). The intermediate level classification of this group seems uncertain: the evidence from phonological correspondences, pronouns and verb roots suggests it belongs to the Maric group (alongside Bidjara, Gungabula, Marganj, Gunja, Biri and Nyaygungu), while the verbal inflectional morphology is akin to that of the Hebert River group (which includes Dyirbal, Warrgamay, Nyawaygi and Manbarra).

The Yidiny language has a number of particles that change the meaning of an entire clause. These, unlike other forms in the language, such as nouns, verbs and gender markers, have no grammatical case and take no tense inflections. The particles in the Yidiny language: nguju - 'not' (nguju also functions as the negative interjection 'no'), giyi - 'don't', biri - 'done again', yurrga - 'still', mugu - 'couldn't help it' (mugu refers to something unsatisfactory but that is impossible to avoid doing), jaymbi / jaybar - 'in turn'. E.g. 'I hit him and he jaymbi hit me', 'He hit me and I jaybar hit him'.
Silva arrived at Benfica in 1943, making his debut at the hands of Janos Biri on 6 February 1944, against Salgueiros. It was his only appearance in 1943–44. After playing only once in 1944–45 for the second time, he finally had his breakthrough season in 1945–46, amassing 25 games alongside Cerqueira, as he gain his place in the starting eleven in exchange for an aged Gaspar Pinto. In 1946–47, Félix and Fernandes displaced him and Cerqueira out of the first team, and Teixeira saw his appearances drop to 18, nine in the league and nine in the Lisbon Championship.
Rodrigues arrived at Benfica at the hands of Janos Biri, making his debut on 6 October 1940, against Carcavelinhos. With Albino, Raúl Baptista and César Ferreira as competitors, he was relegated to back-up, playing only 9 league games, but appearing in all of the Campeonato de Lisboa games. In his second season, he remained a fringe player, receiving the majority of his playing time in the regional league, as Benfica won the Primeira Liga. Conceição last season was in 1942–43, playing only two games, enough to receive the championship medal for the back-to-back league title that his team won.
In his first year, he won the club's last Lisbon Championship as well as their first Portuguese Cup. Over the following six seasons, he managed the team in 272 games, winning three Primeira Liga titles and another two Portuguese Cups. With the appearance of Sporting's "five violins" in 1946, Benfica attempted to fight them by sacking Biri at the end of the season and rehiring Hertzka. Under his guidance, Benfica led the 1947–48 league for most of the season; however, they finished in second place, equalised on points with Sporting but with one goal less.
He started his career as a Centre-back by the hand of János Biri (1946). With the arrival of Lippo Hertzka (1947), Félix started being used as midfielder, but when Ted Smith arrived he changed the all tactical perspective of the team, putting Félix as a centre-back (the position he became famous at). He was part of the team that won the Latin Cup against FC Bordeaux (1950). He ended his career at 30 years old due to an episode that occurred after a Benfica loss against Vitória S.C., when after the game Félix threw his shirt to the floor on the locker room.
Their culture and rituals are threatened by these newcomers, who begin to settle on their lands, and leads to the annihilation of the tribe. He then graduated from the Norwegian Military Academy in 1890 and from the Royal Frederick University with the cand.theol. degree in 1895. He studied in Germany from 1898 to 1899. He started his pastoral career in 1896 as curate serving under his vicar father in Meldal, not far from Støren where his family originated. After the period in Germany, Støren was vicar in Brønnøy and Skjerstad between 1899 and 1901, seaman's priest in Leith, Scotland from 1901 to 1908 and then as a curate in Biri from 1908 to 1913. From 1913 he was the vicar of Tynset, and in August 1915 he was promoted to dean of Østerdalen.
In the sheet music the name is indicated to be enunciated chiri- biri-bean to allow singers to hold the vowel at the end as long as they like. It was a success as "Ciribiribin Waltz" for Prince's Orchestra in 1911 reaching a number three position in the charts of the day as calculated by Joel Whitburn. Grace Moore enjoyed chart success with the song in 1934 reaching a peak position of number 15. She also made a live recording accompanied by a pianist, Gibner King, as an encore after presenting some pieces with Willem Mengelberg and the Concertgebouw Orchestra on June 23, 1936.

Shamash and Adad became in combination the gods of oracles and of divination in general. Whether the will of the gods is determined through the inspection of the liver of the sacrificial animal, through observing the action of oil bubbles in a basin of water or through the observation of the movements of the heavenly bodies, it is Shamash and Adad who, in the ritual connected with divination, are invariably invoked. Similarly in the annals and votive inscriptions of the kings, when oracles are referred to, Shamash and Adad are always named as the gods addressed, and their ordinary designation in such instances is bele biri ("lords of divination").
Ngaro and Giya (Bumbarra), spoken on the coast, may also have been Maric, the latter perhaps a dialect of Biri. Of the interior, to the west, Breen (2007) writes of "Karna–Mari fringe" languages which are "a discontinuous group of languages, mostly poorly attested, scattered between Karnic and Mari languages but not showing much connection with either or with one another. The only one well attested is also the most remote geographically, Kalkutungu". This includes the Ngura languages, several of which belong to the Karnic branch of Pama–Nyungan (such as the Wilson River dialects spoken by the Galali and Wangkumara, though not the Bulloo River dialects spoken by the same).
Silva arrived at Benfica in 1943, making his debut at the hands of Janos Biri on 28 November, against Vitória de Setúbal. With Alcobia, Albino and Francisco Ferreira as competition, he was seen as back-up, playing only 15 games between league and cup in 1943–44. Nonetheless, he played all seven games in the campaign winning run in the Portuguese Cup, which included an 8–0 trashing of Estoril in the final. With the breakthrough of Moreira in 1944–45, Silva dropped further in the pecking order, playing only 11 games, five of those in the league, enough to secure another honour, his first Primeira Divisão title.

King (Dr.) Chief Oliver De Coque (born Oliver Sunday Akanite) was a Nigerian guitarist and one of Africa's most prolific recording artists. Since releasing his debut album Messiah Messiah in 1977, Coque had recorded no fewer than 93 albums in his homeland. His dance-inspiring "Ogene" style of Nigerian high life, which blends modern high life and traditional Igbo music, has produced such hits as "People's Club of Nigeria",“nempi social club”, "Biri Ka Mbiri," "Ana Enwe," "Nnukwu Mmanwu," and "Identity," which remained on Radio Nigeria 2's Top Ten throughout most of 1981. Playing music since the age of 11, Coque was taught to play the guitar by Piccolo, a Congolese guitarist living in Nigeria.
Early settler accounts suggest that the Ngaro population consisted of about 100 people, which represents an island population density of roughly one person per . They may have been decimated through early contacts by disease, but this figure still represents a comparatively high figure. Derrick Stone writes of their fate as white colonisation penetrated their area: > 'Warfare, colonist expansion, disease and the Native Police Corps made their > existence tenuous but the Aborigines' final downfall came in 1870 when they > were forcibly relocated to a mission settlement on Palm Island and others to > Brampton Island to work in timber mills. Memories of old songs sung in a mixture of Ngaro and Biri are still recalled by descendants.
Maran or Maric is an extinct branch of the Pama–Nyungan family of Australian languages formerly spoken throughout much of Queensland by many of the Murri peoples.RMW Dixon (2002), Australian Languages: Their Nature and Development, p xxxiii The well attested Maric languages are clearly related; however, many languages of the area became extinct before much could be documented of them, and their classification is uncertain. They fought, defeated and subjugated the Sayawa near present-day Tafawa Balewa, and built a walled town, naming it Leren-Zagezagi in the 1790s. The word ‘Lere’ could be translated to be the Fulbe phrase of ‘a permanent place’ or ‘station’. But according to Lere chroniclers, the name was derived from a daughter of Muhammad Dabo (Titi) who was married to Usman Biri. Nonetheless, the people of Leren-Zagezagi paid allegiance to the Habe ruler of Zazzau and it remained so until after the 1804 jihad in Bauchi, when Mallam Yakubu, the first Emir of Bauchi fought and annexed the territory in 1810 and forced them to pay allegiance to Bauchi instead of Zazzau, which marked its renaming to Leren Bauchi.
These songs, which were generally written by Fikret Şeneş and included "Kimler Geldi Kimler Geçti", "Palavra Palavra", "Sana Neler Edeceğim", "Hoş Gör Sen", "Sana Ne Kime Ne", "Bambaşka Biri", "Uykusuz Her Gece" and "O Benim Dünyam", later took their place among the best known songs of both Pekkan's career and the Turkish pop music genre. During this period, many of her songs such as "Yaz Yaz Yaz", "Sarıl Bana", "Eğlen Güzelim", "Vitrin", "Aynen Öyle" and "Yakar Geçerim" ranked among the best songs on Turkey's music charts. Her fame grew steadily throughout the 1970s outside her home country, and particularly in Europe, and it was reinforced by concerts in different countries.
In the middle of the street called Cross of Biri, Mattio made an attempt of self-crucifixion. Upon a frame that he had constructed of the timber of his bed, he was prevented from succeeding his attempt by several people who came upon him as he was driving a nail into his left foot. Being interrogated as to the motive for his self-crucifixion, he was silent, except that he once said to his brother, that that day was the festival of St. Matthew and that he could give no further explanation. Days after the affair, he set out for his own country, where he remained a certain time, but afterwards returned to Venice, and in July 1805, lodged in a room in the third floor of a house, in the street Delle Monache.
Ebenezer Obey formed the International Brothers in 1964, and his band soon rivalled that of IK Dairo as the biggest Nigerian group. They played a form of bluesy, guitar-based and highlife-influenced jùjú that included complex talking drum-dominated percussion elements. Obey's lyrics addressed issues that appealed to urban listeners, and incorporated Yoruba traditions and his conservative Christian faith. His rival was King Sunny Adé, who emerged in the same period, forming the Green Spots in 1966 and then achieving some major hits with the African Beats after 1974's Esu Biri Ebo Mi. Ade and Obey raced to incorporate new influences into jùjú music and to gather new fans; Hawaiian slack-key, keyboards and background vocals were among the innovations added during this rapidly changing period.
Otto Glória was the first manager to have won the competition with two different clubs, a feat later achieved by Fernando Vaz, José Maria Pedroto, Jimmy Hagan and Rui Vitória. Seven managers led their teams to consecutive wins in the tournament: János Biri (1943 & 1944), Cândido de Oliveira (1946 & 1948), Mário Lino (1973 & 1974), John Mortimore (1986 & 1987), Fernando Santos (2000 & 2001), Paulo Bento (2007 & 2008) and Jesualdo Ferreira (2009 & 2010). Some of the classes are used exclusively for particular types of noun; for example classes 1 and 2 are for nouns related to people, singular and plural respectively, classes 7, 8 and 11 refer to big versions of nouns in other classes, and class 14 is for abstract nouns. Adjectives applied to nouns generally take a prefix matching the prefix of the noun. For example, the word abantu (people) is a class 2 noun with preprefix a- and prefix ba-; when applying the adjective -biri (two) to that noun, it takes the class 2 prefix ba-, so "two people" translates as abantu babiri; ibintu (things) is a class 4 noun with prefix bi-, thus "two things" translates as ibintu bibiri. The Banyarwanda do not have a long history of written literature, and very little historical texts exist in the Kinyarwanda language.

Deim Zubeir, from the Arabic ديم الزبير [“Daim az-Zubayr”], commonly translated as the “Camp of Zubeir”, is the historically established but highly controversial name of Uyujuku town in the Lol State of the Republic of South Sudan, located in the Western Bahr El Ghazal part of the country, some 70 km from the border with the Central African Republic (CAR), near the Biri tributary of the River Chel. Due to different transliterations from the Arabic, the name components are also spelled in various combinations Dem, Dehm, Deym, Dam, Daym or Daim, and Zubair, Zubayr, Zoubair, Zoubeir, Zoubayr, Zobeir, Ziber, Zebehr, or Zubier, respectively. The historical remains of the slave camp have been designated a potential UNESCO World Heritage Centre site. In the collective memory of South Sudanese people, the very name Deim Zubeir rings as a synonym for millennia of slavery, at least since Pharaonic times.
Four years later, after refusing an increase in rent, they relocated to Campo de Benfica. Finally, in 1925, they moved to their own stadium, the Estádio das Amoreiras, playing there fifteen years before moving to the Estádio do Campo Grande in 1940. The Portuguese league began in 1934, and after finishing third in its first edition, Benfica won the next three championships in a row (1935–36, '36–37, '37–38) – the club's first tri, achieved by Lippo Hertzka. Throughout the 1940s, Benfica would win three more Primeira Liga (1941–42, '42–43, '44–45) and four Taça de Portugal (1940, '43, '44, '49), with coach János Biri achieving the first double for the club in 1943. Benfica's first international success happened in 1950, when they won the Latin Cup (the only Portuguese club to do so), defeating Bordeaux with a golden goal from Julinho at the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon, with Ted Smith as coach.

After a very irregular season, Bento managed to lead Sporting to an unprecedented third consecutive qualification for the Champions League, with another second-place finish in spite of spending most of the year below third place, pipping Guimarães and Benfica in the final matchday. He also retained the Taça de Portugal, beating Porto in the final (2–0 after extra time) after knocking-out eternal rivals Benfica in the last-four stage with a 5–3 triumph. Bento's team broke a number of long- standing club records, including the first season without home defeats since 1987, the first capture of back-to-back Portuguese cups since 1974 and the first time since 1962 that Sporting finished three consecutive campaigns in the top two league positions. At the age of 38, he also became only the fifth manager in the history of Portuguese football to win back-to-back Portuguese cups, alongside the likes of Janos Biri, John Mortimore or José Maria Pedroto. On 15 July 2008, The Sun and The Daily Telegraph reported that Manchester United were planning to hire Bento (reportedly Cristiano Ronaldo's friend and former teammate) as manager Alex Ferguson's new assistant after the departure of previous number two Carlos Queiroz to manage the Portuguese national team.
