Designed by Fielding Nair International, Sinarmas World Academy's campus was awarded the Project of Distinction Award by the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International in 2009.
The playing field, used by Fosdyke Football Club, has an enclosed multisport area (opened in 2009), used for five-a-side football, basketball and volleyball. Adjacent to the social club building is a children's adventure playground. Situated at the end of the playing field is a bowls club, which moved to Fosdyke in 1991. Businesses include builders, handymen, and producers of fruit and vegetables.
The Hotham estate was sold to Robert Burton in 1773, who incorporated the grounds of the manor house into those of Hotham Hall. The Metham family retained North Cave Manor, which later passed through inheritance to the Carver family who still own the site today, part of which operates as the Williams Den adventure playground. The Quaker preacher John Richardson was born in North Cave in 1667.
The South Eastern corner of the park includes tennis courts, outdoor fitness equipment and a multi-purpose basketball and 5-a-side football court. The park also features a large children's play area including an adventure playground partially created from local trees felled during a storm, a pond, an art block and Acton Skate Park, run by the Ealing Skatepark Association, which opened in April 2019.
Gütersloh has four parks: The Stadtpark und Botanischer Garten Gütersloh contains a duck pond, a botanical garden, and many paths bordered by mature trees. It was built 1908–09 next to the river Dalke. The Mohns Park contains a paddling pool, an adventure playground area, a minigolf area, some sports fields and a hockey field can be used for ice hockey too. Since 1949 there is an amphitheater with 1,100 seats.
Chelsea is very popular with beachgoers during summer. Also popular is Bicentennial Park, located about 1 km inland on the site of a former rubbish tip. It has recently been redeveloped with modern barbecue and play equipment, most notably the Mount Chelsea adventure playground. The Frankston Railway line first cut through the Chelsea area in 1882 and Chelsea Station was opened in 1907, as was the Chelsea Post Office.
It contains lawns, barbecue areas, shade areas and an adventure playground, specifically designed to be suitable for all children, including those with disabilities. The park also contains some attractive Australian sculptures, added in 1988 as an Australian Bicentennial project. Further public art, in the form of mosaic tile works, were completed in 1994 as part of the International Year of the Child. The club of Soroptimist International of Townsville Inc.
Known locally as "The Rec", it now contains football pitches, a children's paddling pool, two extensive playgrounds, a large dog- free grassed area and a sports pavilion clubhouse, set amongst trees and shrubs. The clubhouse, which cost £1 million and opened in September 2011, includes a community cafe and a community hall. A new children's adventure playground was opened in 2016, and an outdoor gym for adults in 2017.

Emdrup began to grow in the late 19th century. It belonged to the civil parish of Brønshøj which was merged with Copenhagen in 1901. In 1943, the first Adventure Playground in the world, opened in Emdrup, inspired by the Danish landscape architect Carl Theodor Sørensen and in cooperation with the Copenhagen schoolteacher Hans Dragehjelm. The playground inspired child-care workers all over the world and is still in operation.
Lytton Mausoleum As of 2019, its residents are Henry Lytton-Cobbold and his family. He had a career in the film industry, living for some years in Los Angeles, and so the house and gardens are frequently used for filming. They are also open to the public. The grounds include tourist attractions such as an adventure playground and dinosaur park and host various events including classic car rallies.
The Mehliskopf is a mountain, , on the main chain of the Northern Black Forest in Germany. It lies above the Black Forest High Road, between Sand (junction to Herrenwies and the Schwarzenbach Dam) and Hundseck (junction to Forbach- Hundsbach). On the north flank of the mountain there is ski piste with lifts and an all-year-round bobsleigh run. Nearby is a climbing garden and an adventure playground.

Woking has an indoor swimming pool, "Pool in the Park", and a separate leisure centre at Pool in the Park, opposite Woking Leisure Centre. Outdoor facilities include a skatepark (which is popular with local children), tennis courts, five-a-side football pitches, a cricket pitch (during the summer), bowling greens, a crazy golf course, and a children's adventure playground. These leisure facilities are in Woking Park. Woking also has the largest public library in Surrey.
Located on the A5 road between Towcester and Milton Keynes. Roughly five miles away from Silverstone (where the British Grand Prix is held), Potterspury Lodge School is set in the countryside near where Northamptonshire borders Buckinghamshire. Because of the location the school is in, it tries to make as much of it as possible. The school's grounds contain a sports field, an adventure playground, fishing lake, sports hall, tennis court, basketball court, and skate park.

Children from the Council Estate opposite the entrance at Hatfield Mead used this area as an adventure playground for many years. At this period a Gatehouse (occupied until its demolition in the 1960s) was prominent at the entry. Bordering the park to the South West, next to The George Inn was the RG Jones Recording Studio where a number of Pop Groups in the 60's (including notably The Rolling Stones) had recording sessions.
Under her leadership Reinickendorf was provided with its first adventure playground for children. In 1976 she opened the first women's refuge in West Berlin or West Germany. More than any other Berlin Senator, she was tireless in her support of the Citizens' Action Initiative ("Bürgerinitiative"). She was hugely supportive of initiatives and projects for child day care ("Eltern-Initiativ-Kindertagesstätten") to help working parents, and of other adventure playgrounds and women's refuges.
Heartland's park (near the middle of the area) was opened in August 2000 on the site of former maisonettes, as a grassed area with trees and an adventure playground. Ings Road Playing Fields have sporting facilities plus grassed area and woodland. Noddle Hill Way has a fishing lake and wildlife wetland, as well as football pitches and community woodland. Bude Park playing fields has a children's playground, which was refurbished in 2010 after major vandalism.
The concrete slab of the female cell block survives in the quadrangle with the outline of each of the cells clearly visible in the slab. White lines have been painted on the slab which is used as the handball court. Basketball courts and a pond are also located within the quadrangle. Outside the quadrangle are a rainforest, beach volleyball court, an adventure playground, preschool, tennis court, oval, cricket wicket, tractor shed and bush tucker garden.
The village has a pub, church, primary school, village hall and adventure playground. The barn attached to the Red Cow pub is the oldest building in Chrishall apart from the church, and is believed to date to 1500. There was once a village shop in front of the pub, however this is now closed. Holy Trinity Church, a 12th- century Grade I Listed Building, is situated on the edge of the main village.
An area sufficiently shallow to accommodate safe swimming by inexperienced bathers is cordoned off. Furthermore, a grassy sunbathing area sporting a public toilet adjoins the lake, as well as a children's adventure playground. The lake is only a short walking distance from Haarlem Spaarnwoude railway station and relatively close to the A200 and A9 motorways. This favourable location has helped to make it a popular area for organising mid to large-scale events.
Channing Junior School's (Fairseat) Grounds are part of Sir Sydney Waterlow's park. In 2018 a large veteran Cedar of Lebanon had to be chopped down because it was infected with a fungus. Channing also has a cottage (It is called ' the Fairseat Cottage'), chicken coop, adventure playground and tennis courts. The School also owns a large expanse of grass on Stanhope Road where summer sports are played and the Channing Fireworks are held.
In later years, "Indianaland", a children's Aztec themed indoor adventure playground was added along with Laser Quest, a simulated combat arena using laser tag equipment. The bowling alley was upgraded to 30 lanes in the 1990s and an extensive miniature golf course was built. The site also contains a David Lloyd fitness centre. In 2006, the area was designated as the Dundonald Leisure Park, as part of the Draft Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan 2015.
Frydenlund is a residential area southwest of Møllevangen, mainly consisting of the characteristic high rise concrete apartments from the 1960s and 70s, constructed of large, prefabricated concrete slabs. Approximately 2,500 people live in Frydenlund and they represent a diverse social and ethnic background. 58% are ethnic Danes and 42% are immigrants or descendants of immigrants. There is a large youth and child center (an adventure playground), with playgrounds, animal farms, facilities for sports, etc.
Horsforth Hall Park is a large community park in Horsforth, West Yorkshire, England, approximately six miles from Leeds city centre. The park's attractions include large spaces of open parkland, a cricket pitch, a bowling green, an adventure playground, a bandstand and a Japanese formal garden. It is the home of Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club. It also hosts a specially designed playground for under eights that allows disabled and able bodied children to play together.
Haimhausen is a municipality in the district of Dachau in Bavaria, Germany, just north of Munich. It has a few shops, including a bike shop, post office, flower shop, butchers, bakery, shoe shop, wine shop, supermarket and Shell petrol station, as well as a stately home, Schloss Haimhausen, which is now home to the Bavarian International School. It has its own motorway exit on the A99. Haimhausen also has an adventure playground, and a skatepark.
The school's grounds also underwent significant improvements. In 1966 a larger pool replaced the earlier one. In the 1980s, landscaping of the areas between Blocks A, B and C, and the rejuvenation and extension of the adventure playground took place. The area is in Fosse Ward for local government purposes and part of the Leicester West parliamentary constituency at Westminster, the local MP from May 2010 is Liz Kendall. Previous MPs were Patricia Hewitt, Greville Janner and his father Barnett Janner. The Woodgate Resources Centre is used for local social gatherings: it was formerly a library. Also near to Woodgate is the Woodgate Adventure Playground on the Rally Park which is used by local children for recreation.
Sørensen was a prolific author producing eight books, editing two volumes and writing hundreds of articles. Only one short book has been translated into English and another into German and Dutch. His books covers open space in urban life, horticulture, the history of garden art, principles of garden design, education and autobiography. Sørensen worked with Copenhagen schoolteacher Hans Dragehjelm (1875-1948) on the first ever adventure playground in Emdrup, a district of the Danish capital Copenhagen in 1940.
Wisconsin Rapids has several local parks, including Robinson Park, Gaynor Park, and Lyon Park. There is also a skate park. The state water-skiing championships are held at Lake Wazeecha every year and the national BMX Bandit cycling championships are held at the Central Wisconsin BMX velodrome. The Wisconsin Rapids Aquatic Center opened in July 2020 and features several pools and other recreational facilities including a tennis court, adventure playground, ice-skating rink, and splash pad.
The first is to your left as you look up the hill (near the adventure playground). As you walk up the hill towards this marker you will see the next post directing you through another gap in the hedge, behind the tower slide, taking you into the meadow. From here you will be able to follow the red waymarker posts which will guide you through the two meadows taking in all of the best spots for wild flowers.
The park features lakeside and woodland walks, restored formal cascades, a grotto, a coarse fishery, four ponds, a play area, an adventure playground and a visitor centre exploring the history and evolution of the estate. It has a shop, toilet facilities and a cafè. Entry to the park is free of charge, but there are parking charges. The remains of some of the estate buildings, such as an ice house, tower and fishpond house, are still visible.
The aim was to explain to those unfamiliar with rural life how food was produced. There are milking demonstrations and displays of rare breeds. An adventure playground was added in 1983, and a venue for talks and exhibitions called Oak Barn was opened by television gardener Alan Titchmarsh in 2005. Chatsworth also runs two annual rural-skills weeks during which demonstrations of agricultural and forestry are given to groups of schoolchildren on the estate farms and woods.
In the water park, there is also Playworld, an outdoor adventure playground, which is suitable for children of all ages with a tower slide, climbing frames, a toddlers' sandpit area and a miniature railway. A new kiosk and toilet facilities were opened in March 2006. New equipment was introduced in 2008. A new restaurant, which opened in 2011, is situated adjacent to the larger of the two fishing lakes, and serves hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks.
The Truganina Park is home to the endangered Altona skipper butterfly. A concrete drain, which takes stormwater from the adjacent residential Altona Meadows and runs through the Park, is restructured to form the Truganina Wetlands, which filter the stormwater and provide a habitat for aquatic birds. The park also contains picnic and barbecue facilities, with future plans for an adventure playground, climbing wall and nature trails. Truganina Park is managed by the Hobsons Bay City Council.
Alcester is also known for two nearby stately homes. To the north is Coughton Court, the family seat of the Throckmorton baronets as well as a National Trust property. To the south-west is Ragley Hall, the home of the Marquis of Hertford, whose gardens contain a children's adventure playground. Kinwarton, which is just north of Alcester, contains a church of Anglo Saxon origin and a historic dovecote, Kinwarton Dovecote, which is also a National Trust property.
Christ The King Anglican College (CKC) is a small co-educational school in Cobram, Victoria founded in 2000. Its student population is around 400. The College includes a mixture of modern permanent buildings and demountable classrooms set on around 30 acres of lawned and treed grounds. Recent improvements to the property include new Junior school classrooms and adventure playground, Senior School classrooms, Library, Arts/music wing, Science Lab, Computer rooms, and Basketball/Tennis courts to name a few.

He also worked on several historic buildings, adapting All Saints, Lewes, in East Sussex, into a theatre; a school in Dulwich, London, into housing; and remodelling Chelsea Town Hall. Still active well into his 70s, Finch formed a professional practice with his then partner, Kate Macintosh. In 2005 Finch Macintosh designed the Weston Adventure Playground, Southampton, a charity lottery project.
The latest version of the pageant is seen to lack transparency, due to the fact that the winner is suddenly announced without a proper contest being held, girls are put in a studio with sashes proclaiming them to be finalist, but the public are not able to follow the process from start to finish, or see the actual final event taking place. In several years past the runner up has simply be appointed Miss Ethiopia by Murad Mohammed and Ethiopian Village Adventure Playground for the purpose of attending Miss World for example. Melkam Michael Endale who was crowned Miss Ethiopia 2010 for example, who never got her promised car or 100,000 ETBirr, was simply appointed as Miss World Ethiopia in 2012, without taking part in a contest for the purpose of attending Miss World 2012 Murad Mohammed and Ethiopian Village Adventure Playground has also frequently announced that it's Miss Ethiopia queens will participate in international pageants like Miss International 2012, Miss Earth 2012, Miss Progress etc. despite not owning the franchises for the pageants.
Caffeine boost for shopping complex This opened in 2015. On October 2, 2019, the complex said plans to open a new KFC restaurant, occupied in the 3 restaurants in the second unit. This opened in late October 2019.. Current tenants of the site include Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Premier Inn, Nando's, a Kidspace indoor adventure playground, Oxygen free jumping, and Nuffield Health & Fitness Centre. T.G.I. Friday's has a restaurant located across the road from the retail area, as well as a Hilton Hotel.
The park was created by entrepreneur Joe Larter in 1983 as a small American-themed family attraction, containing a miniature railway, Cine 180 and adventure playground. Yearly expansion brought the addition of new attractions and general improvements. Controlling interest in the park was sold to RKF, a property development company, in the late 1980s. RKF built attractions including two Sea Life centres (Great Yarmouth & Hunstanton), a Ripley's Believe It or Not (Great Yarmouth seafront) and the Bure Valley Railway (in Aylsham).
Søren Carl Theodor Marius Sørensen (24 July 1893 in Altona, Hamburg, Germany – 12 September 1979 in Copenhagen, Denmark) was a Danish landscape architect who is considered to be one of the greatest landscape architects of the 20th century. A contemporary of Thomas Church, Geoffrey Jellicoe and Luis Barragán he was a leading figure in the first generation of Modernists in landscape design. He is best known for designing the first Adventure playground (in partnership with Hans Dragehjelm) in Emdrup, Copenhagen.
Work on demolishing the houses in the street began immediately after the eviction - fencing and 24-hour security made sure the houses were not resquatted before they got the chance to demolish. Demolition was completed in 2007. In 2010 Lambeth Council and two housing associations, London and Quadrant and Family Mosaic, put forward planning proposals for the land to be used for housing, 50% of which would be social/affordable housing, together with a re-sited adventure playground and One O'Clock Club.
On Harrogate Road can be found Eccleshill Swimming Pool, a public house, Holybrook Primary School playing fields, the clubhouse of Eccleshill Sports and Social Club and Victoria Park sports ground where Victoria Rangers play rugby football (inactive) East of the playing fields is the Eccleshill Community Hospital and Eccleshill Park--an area of grassland and the Eccleshill Adventure Playground. In the middle of Ravenscliffe is a sub post office and The Gateway Community and Children's Centre. To the north Ravenscliffe merges with Greengates.

The gun emplacements have been renovated. Naval guns have been mounted in each emplacement after they were discovered at a construction site at Chatham Road in Tsim Sha Tsui in 1980.
Zef Eisenberg lived in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey, where he became full-time resident in 2005. having been a regular visitor since 7 years of age (1980) with his father. He project-managed and raised funds to build both the largest concrete skatepark in Guernsey and the largest adventure playground at Saumarez park, Castel. In 2019, Eisenberg was awarded 'Parish champion of the year' in the 'Pride of Guernsey' 2019 awards for their 5yr project to deliver the Saumarez Park playground Project.
A street party for neighbourhood children turned into a carnival procession when Russell Henderson's steel band (who had played at the earlier Claudia Jones events) went on a walkabout. The Inches are linked by Tay Street, which runs along the western banks of the Tay. The South Inch is bordered to the north by Marshall Place and Kings Place; to the east by Shore Road; to the south by South Inch View; and to the west by St Leonards Bridge. The Edinburgh Road passes through its eastern third. The South Inch offers various activities, including bowling, an adventure playground, a skate park, and, in the summer, a bouncy castle.
In 2014, the Explorer Zone underwent refurbishment and expansion and now includes a brand new adventure playground, gift shop, pizzeria, café and a Butterfly Forest. Butterfly Forest is a 600-square-meter walk-through exhibit and was designed by Twycross Zoo staff. Visitors follow a winding path through a heavily planted setting where they can see hundreds of different butterflies and witness the life cycle, from chrysalis to butterfly in the dedicated hatching cabinets. Victoria Crowned Pigeons can also be found inside.
On 30 April 2000 in the former outdoor swimming pool property, Northern Bavaria's biggest multifunctional beach sport facility with six beach volleyball courts was opened. In the former diving basin, a skating facility with a halfpipe, a 450 m² wetland biotope, an integrated festival square with a bowls area, a badminton and streetball court, table tennis tables, big chessboards, a music pavilion and in the former wading pool a water and adventure playground for children up to ten years old were built.
Kinsley Greyhound Stadium Kinsley Greyhound Stadium is at the centre of the village on Wakefield Road. To the south of the greyhound stadium and Hoyle Mill Road, is Hemsworth Water Park & Playworld, which has two lakes: the larger lake is used for pedalo rides and has sandy beaches; the smaller lake is in a more secluded area which attracts wildlife. Both lakes are stocked for fishing. Grassed areas provide for picnics and games, contain an outdoor adventure playground for children, and a miniature railway.
Townsend then chose to research the world of teenagers, and started attending youth clubs as a volunteer organiser. This led to her training as a youth worker. While employed as a supervisor at an adventure playground, she observed a man making canoes nearby and, because he was married, put off talking to him; it was a year before he asked her for a date. It was at a canoeing course she met her future second husband, Colin Broadway, who was the father of her fourth child, Elizabeth.
Rusthall Common separates the village from the main built up area of neighbouring Tunbridge Wells and is characterised by sandstone outcrops, with names such as Toad Rock, the Elephant, the Lion, Loaf Rock and The Parson's Nose. Southwood Road Recreation Ground features an adventure playground, a BMX track, mini-skate park, two full-sized football pitches and one mini football pitch. Southwood Road allotments are located next to the recreation ground. A smaller playground, Mary Caley Recreation Ground, can be found on Ashley Gardens road.
The school population continued to increase and additional classrooms were constructed in 1960. Lawns were developed along the entire frontage of the school and numerous trees were planted in accordance with a plan prepared by the curator of the Botanical Gardens adjacent. The new library was opened in 1978 and the school residence was removed in 1981 from the site adjacent facing Gregory Street where residential units are now located. The adventure playground was established in 1993 with funds raised by the Parents & Citizens Association.
Phase I of Waterfront Park, approximately , was dedicated on July 4, 1999. The park hosted hundreds of events in its first full season of use, with an estimated total attendance of more than a million people. The park is heavily used on a daily basis, and averages more than 1.5 million visitors per year. Children and families enjoy the Children's Play Area and the new Adventure Playground, while walkers, joggers, picnickers, school groups, and others take advantage of its beautiful location along the river.
Tram 42 ready for boarding The Tramway Museum, St Kilda is built on the site of the 1902 school and showcases trams and trolleybuses that were either used or built in Adelaide. The museum is dedicated to preserving and restoring Adelaide’s former transport vehicles. It houses over 30 electric trams, horse trams and electric trolley buses, many of which are restored and operational. Visitors can ride the electric trams along 2 km of purpose-built track that runs between the museum and the adventure playground.
The Park opened on 3 March 2007. In addition the Wentworth Common area was upgraded with significant adventure playground facilities for children aged 8–13 years. The former Auburn Council sought public comment on a proposal to rename the Homebush Bay area, to remove confusion with its namesake suburb Homebush. The area encompassing Sydney Olympic Park was given autonomy as a suburb, the waterfront residential area was renamed Wentworth Point and the Carter Street industrial precinct was absorbed by the neighbouring suburb of Lidcombe.
The town has two principal parks and one parkland estate known as Panteg House (home of Panteg Cricket Club, Panteg Football Club, Panteg House Bowls Club and Pontypool Boules team). Griffithstown Park near Sunnybank Road contains an adventure playground and basketball courts, but is mostly grass. Panteg Park on Cwrdy Road (known as "The Fish Pond Park" due to its water feature) is smaller with elaborate flower gardens, bowling green, tennis courts and golf putting greens. Panteg House is home to a cricket pitch and football pitch.
Running along the bank of the river, a train is pulled by a Battison-built 1/5-scale model of the Royal Scot (6100) on Sundays and bank holidays. At other times the train is pulled by the Countess De Grey or Lady Mary Vyner, LPG-powered diesel-hydraulic locomotives designed by David Curwen and built by Severn Lamb. In 1979 a newly constructed adventure playground was opened by Sir Jackie Stewart. Newby Hall also holds the National Collection of the genus Cornus (dogwoods).
The seventh Baron attempted to retain the house and estate by opening to the public. An adventure playground was built in the nearby woods to attract families to the house as a tourist attraction. However, the financial difficulties were too great and in January 1984 he transferred ownership of the house, garden and some of the contents to the National Trust, a charitable body experienced in the management of historic properties. An auction of the contents was held at Belton House by Christie's over three days 30 April – 2 May 1984, comprising 1,022 lots.
Exmoor's woodlands sometimes reach the shoreline, especially between Porlock and Foreland Point, where they form the single longest stretch of coastal woodland in England and Wales. The Exmoor Coastal Heaths have been recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the diversity of plant species present. The scenery of rocky headlands, ravines, waterfalls and towering cliffs gained the Exmoor coast recognition as a heritage coast in 1991. With its huge waterfalls and caves, this dramatic coastline has become an adventure playground for both climbers and explorers.
In 2019, the museum opened a military-style adventure playground. Named Camp Fisher, the centrepiece of the playground is a life-size Warrior tracked armoured vehicle play feature, set within a mock-Forward Operating Base based on the recent Afghanistan war. It is dedicated to WO2 Ian Fisher who was killed on operations in Afghanistan whilst serving with the 3rd Battalion the Mercian Regiment in 2013. The museum is owned and managed by the Staffordshire Regiment Museum Trust which is a registered charity in England and Wales (Charity No: 1096944).
The park is home to Bellahouston Sports Centre and the Palace of Art Sports for Excellence Centre, the latter consisting of a building retained from the 1938 exhibition. The Glasgow Ski Centre houses an artificial ski slope, which was adapted in the early 1970s from the seating area around a former bandstand, and further extended in 2008. The bandstand has been retained as the clubhouse and equipment store. There are also a "pitch and putt" miniature golf course, a bowling club, all-weather hockey pitches, cycling facilities, an adventure playground, and an orienteering course.
Avon Heath Country Park is a Green Flag–awarded park located in St Leonards, Dorset, approx 10 miles north of Bournemouth. The park is dominated by acres of lowland and wetland heath, grassland and heather, while pine and birch woodlands make up much of the rest of the scenery. The park contains internationally important wildlife, including rare species such as sand lizards, smooth snakes, Dartford warblers, woodlarks and the silver-studded blue butterfly. Facilities including a discovery centre, a café that's open daily, picnic areas, a children's adventure playground, and barbecues to hire.
Heinrich Zille Park on Bergstraße in Berlin's Mitte borough was named for him by the City of Berlin in 1948 and formerly featured a statue of him from the workshop of Paul Kentsch, but the statue's whereabouts are unknown and the park is now a children's adventure playground. There is a Zille Memorial statue created in 1964-65 by Heinrich Drake in the Lapidary within Köllnischer Park, also in Mitte. A museum dedicated to Zille's work opened in Berlin's Nikolaiviertel, in Mitte, in 2002;"Zille Museum". Museumsportal Berlin. museumsportal-berlin.de/en/.
The rolling stock consists of four works trucks and twelve passenger coaches, one from the Exmoor railway, three Ex-longleat coming from various sites, and three car enclosed articulated set, rebuilt on site from the remains of three minirail coaches and five semi enclosed ex Bush Mill Railway coaches from Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. On site is the remains of the last Ex-longleat railway coaches, being donated from the Lappa Valley railway. Facilities available alongside the railway include picnic areas, adventure playground, dedicated under fives play area and refreshments.
The Tolkien Society have been associated with setting up the "Ring Room" at Vyne, which includes the Ring of Silvianus in a rotating display case, a first edition of The Hobbit and a copy of the curse. There is also a Middle-earth adventure playground in the grounds. Lynn Forest- Hill of the Tolkien Society expressed pleasure at the discovery of a material source for the One Ring described in Tolkien's novels, stating that all sources previously cited have been literary or legendary, such as the Ring of the Nibelungs.
Accessed October 6, 2018. This public-private partnership covers approximately 100 acres of land and as of September 2018, has cost about $465 million to construct. The main attractions are the Chapman Adventure Playground, the Williams Lodge, a boathouse, splash playground, great lawn, outdoor sports courts, a skate park, a wetland pond and garden, and numerous trails among other locations. There are plenty of activities for kids and adults alike. Tulsa's Gathering Place was named the Best New Attraction in the nation in 2018 through the USA Today Readers’ Choice awards.
Shipwreck at the playground St Kilda's adventure playground covers 4 hectares along the seafront and is one of South Australia's best known. The playground has a constructed shipwreck, wooden castle, huge slides, a spiral slide inside a hill, flying foxes and numerous other pieces of play equipment, with South Australian children naming it in 2002 as the best adventure park in the state.Taylor E. (2003), p. 27 The park was conceived by the Lions Club of Salisbury and funded through club fundraising activities, council matching funding and government employment schemes providing free labour.
Dean Heritage Centre The Dean Heritage Centre is located in the valley of Soudley, Gloucestershire, England in the Forest of Dean and exists to record and preserve the social and industrial history of the area and its people. The centre comprises the museum itself, a millpond and waterwheel, forester's cottage with garden and animals, art and craft exhibitions and workshops, and trails around the surrounding woodland. In addition, there are picnic tables, barbecue hearths, an adventure playground, a gift shop selling local produce and the Heritage Kitchen, a restaurant providing home-made food.
Assemble's first two projects, Cineroleum and Folly for a Flyover were temporary installations in public space. Other projects include Yardhouse, a dismountable affordable workspace built next to their workshop and studio in Stratford. It was recently sold to be rebuilt elsewhere now its original site is up for development. They have started a number of small organisations which run their projects in the longer term, including Baltic Street Adventure Playground in Dalmarnock, East Glasgow, Granby Workshop in Liverpool and Blackhorse Workshop, which is a community workshop and maker space in Walthamstow, North East London.
The house and estate are principally used for public recreation, as the venue for the annual Kilsyth International Carnival in mid August, an "Italian Picnic" – a gathering of Italian/Scottish families, and functions such as weddings and parties. There is also a fine walled garden and a small theatre, the "clock theatre". A children's adventure playground has been opened. The estate still contains the ruins of Colzium Castle just 100 metres north of Colzium House at the point where the driveway turns sharp left to Tak-Ma-Doon Road.
On Bulleen's northern border is the Yarra River, which adjoins parklands, including Banksia Park with its bike paths and picnic facilities. Adjacent to Banksia Park is the Heide Museum of Modern Art. Other important reserves include the Bulleen Park sporting grounds and approximately in the centre of the suburb, Yarraleen and Morris Williams reserves, which offer an adventure playground and general open space. To the west of Bulleen Road is the Yarra Flats Park, with bike tracks, walking tracks, picnic tables, shelter, wood barbecues, birdlife, wild berries, billabongs and views of the Yarra River.
Concrete walls retain both Wentworth Parade and Oxford Street (from the corner to the swimming pool) boundaries. A tennis court is located on the north-eastern corner, several metres above street level. Between the tennis court and the swimming pool, the demountable building -Block D, a shelter shed and the adventure playground are located. Block A and B form the eastern and northern boundaries to the parade area, part of which is now occupied by the new outdoor learning area and verandahs of the new resource and administration building.
Gene Gray Playground, at Cross Bay Boulevard and East 9th Road, is named for Eugene Gray (1927–1973), a community activist who supported the construction of the island's first adventure playground prior to his death. In 1987, the Broad Channel Civic Association and Queens Community Board 14 successfully petitioned to rename the playground after Gray. The playground, which cost $457,688, opened on November 12, 1987, to designs by Richard Dattner. The wooden play structures in the playground was themed to a nautical fortress, with a bridge designed to look like a sailing ship.
Other public programs and exhibits are available, including an adventure playground operated by play:groundNYC called The Yard, as well as a compost site run by Earth Matter called the Compost Learning Center and a functioning urban farm, the Teaching Garden, run by GrowNYC. Some activities require additional fees. For instance, Adventures at Governors Island offers zip-lining and rock climbing activities in the undeveloped western side of the island's southern section. Another additional-fee activity provided on Governor Island is a glamorous camping, or "glamping", retreat that operates during the Island's public season.
At the time, NYC Parks postponed plans for an ice-skating rink due to a lack of interest. The first phase of Highbridge Park's renovations started in December 2018. This entailed upgrades to lighting and paths, cleanup of a 10-block section of the park, restoration of the "Grand Staircase", creation of a "welcome garden" at Dyckman Street, and creation of an ADA-accessible entrance plaza at 184th Street. The second phase, which started in July 2019, included restoration of the water tower and the Adventure Playground at 164th Street.
It has facilities for various sports, including tennis, basketball, bowls, croquet, football and cricket. A skate park has recently been added, and there is an adventure playground for young children. The majority of the park is level, open grassland and the largest space in particular is sometimes used as a venue for outdoor events – in recent years these have included BBC Radio 1's One Big Sunday, the Leicester Caribbean Carnival, Leicester Pride and the Summer Sundae music festival. Kasabian also had a sell out concert here with 50,000 tickets sold.
Meriden Park is a public park located in Chelmsley Wood, near Birmingham, UK. The park has a large natural lake, natural woodland, a children's play area, a skate park and a football pitch. It hosts a number of community events throughout the year. Meriden Adventure Playground, sited in the park and operated by an independent charity, is one of the leading adventure play facilities in the country. It offers free, open access play to 0 - 16 year olds Tuesday to Friday after school and all day during holidays.
There is a Baptist chapel on Chapel Lane, Pontrhydyrun Baptist Church and an Anglican church named St Mary's Church on Bryn Eglwys (literally 'Church Hill'). Woodland Road Park is a recreation area which contains a bowling green, rugby pitch, tennis courts, outdoor paddling pool and adventure playground. The former Gwent County Hall was located here.Photo of Gwent County Hall Until 2012 it provided the main administrative base for Monmouthshire County Council (even though it was outside that administrative area) and Gwent Police, and also some offices for Torfaen County Borough Council.
The school building was restumped with concrete and steel posts, corrugated iron sheeting around the underfloor area was replaced with weatherboard and louvres, and the school was carpeted and repainted. At this time, a demountable classroom (no longer extant) was installed to the northeast of the school building, and an adventure playground was constructed to the west in 1978. From this time, consideration was given to increasing the school grounds but negotiations with neighbouring landholders were not successful. By 1979, the alternative of a replacement school site was being investigated.
The school has undergone consistent renovations vastly changing the facilities. The school has built two new reception areas, dance drama studio, music suite and Music auditorium, staff room, a library and a reading room, home economics room, soft play areas, and indoor and outdoor play areas, and, in 2015, a new kitchen and dining room for primary students and an adventure playground. Classrooms are well equipped with access to internet, data projectors and computers. 2017 saw the opening of the extensive MYP/DP library in the adjacent administrative building, along with an arts suite of art, music, design, drama and music specialist classrooms.
Pontins replaced the wooden chalets with new apartment-style pre- cast concrete accommodation blocks. At its peak, the camp of 22 acres had four single-storey chalet blocks and 44 two-storey chalet blocks, providing 512 individual chalets in three grades that could accommodate up to 2440 holidaymakers and 50 onsite staff beds. The 50 onsite buildings provided: reception and information centre; amusement arcade; fast food outlet; a play area; an entertainment hall seating 1,700; smaller hall accommodating 800 and a shop; an indoor swimming pool; a pub; and snooker rooms. Outside facilities included tennis courts, an adventure playground and go-karting track.
Two scout organisations, Det Danske Spejderkorps and KFUM-spejderne, bought the island in April 2015 for 20 million kroner (£1.94M) with money donated by the A. P. Møller and Nordea funds. The two Danish scout organisations intend to develop the facility, at a cost of 25 Million euros, as an adventure playground "for the development of children and young people " (not just scouts) "into active, engaged and curious people who take the lead for positive social change", with space for 400 campers. Ungdomsøen ("The Youth Island") was officially opened in August 2019 by its patron Princess Benedikte.
At its outset, the project sought to discover whether we can harness the energy of children at play, and feed it into the energy supply. Making energy generation community- based and seriously good fun, the focus of the project is to co-design playground equipment, co-create sustainable power and co-build an adventure playground. Mike Hawes of Mor Design was senior producing this project. Big Design Challenge The final project of Dott was the Big Design Challenge that encouraged citizens to co-design and get involved in the co-production of solutions to local challenges.
Also towards the eastern end is the Gulliver Park (Parc Gulliver/Parque Gulliver) (), a children's adventure playground featuring a huge fibreglass model of Lemuel Gulliver tied to the ground with ropes. The model is constructed such that the ropes are climbable. In addition, Gulliver's clothes form slides and ladders on which to play. Marking the park's eastern extreme is Valencia's neo-futuristic architectural and cultural complex, the City of Arts and Sciences, featuring the opera house Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, an cinemax/panetarium L'Hemisferic, the science museum Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe, and an oceanographic park L'Oceanogràfic.
Eastern Park is a recreation reserve on the eastern side of the West Gippsland town of Warragul, Victoria. The recreation reserve was built to cater for the growing demand for sporting fields in Warragul, especially for Australian Rules Football and Cricket. The growing demand was a result of excess usage of sister venue Western Park and the proposed closure of the football facilities at Logan Park (due to redevelopment of the existing harness racing track). Eastern Park incorporates a junior sized football oval, adventure playground, multi purpose pavilion, The Green Shed Theatre and numerous walking tracks.
Pop-Up Adventure Play was first founded in the United States with support from Fractured Atlas in order to translate the UK playwork tradition for use in the US. It was later established as a Private company limited by guarantee, and then a charity, in the United Kingdom. Its founding members include Morgan Leichter-Saxby, Suzanna Law, Sharon Unis, Anna Housley Juster, Daniel Bigler and Erin Davis. Pop-up Adventure play held its first pop-up adventure playground in New York City in 2010. There have since been over 300 Pop-Ups in more than 25 countries.
The theme park opened as Paultons Park and Bird Gardens on 17 May 1983. The park covered , with four staff members and attractions featuring only an adventure playground, the Village Life Museum located in a converted barn, and the numerous birds and animals. Three years after the launch, the attractions were expanded with the Railway Station, Station Tea Rooms and Rio Grande Railway being constructed, alongside the Magic Forest, Kids Kingdom and Captain Blood's Cavern. 1988 saw the Land of the Dinosaurs, the Rabbit Ride and the Trampolines being completed, with the Astroglide and Crazy Snooker added the following year.
From the mid-1950s, the Hornsea Pottery business became more diverse. Tourist activities began with factory tours, then added more activities for families with children. These included a model village, birds of prey exhibition, car museum, a large adventure playground in the style of a wooden fort, remote control boats and go-karts. For adults, there were cafés, the Hornsea Pottery shop and factory tour and, towards the end of the factory's lifetime, a number of shops which turned the site into an American-style outdoor factory outlet mall, selling clothing and other items at reduced prices.
The Tramway Museum, St Kilda operates an extensive fleet of historic South Australian and interstate tram cars and trolley buses. Work began in 1958 with the arrival of donated vehicles, the first of which was an old trolley bus from the Municipal Tramways Trust, and the museum was opened in 1967 as a static display. The museum houses more than 30 electric trams, horse trams and electric trolley buses, many of which are restored and operational. Visitors can ride the electric trams along 2 km of purpose built track that runs between the museum and an adventure playground.
The play areas within the park have been renovated many times and currently have a £110,000 animal farm themed play area which is suitable for 2-8 year olds. It has a number of attractions including: rocking horses, see saws, slides, climbing frames, swings, roundabouts, interactive surfboard, rota web, play vehicle and 3D spring ride-ons. A 30-year-old climbing frame train has been restored as part of the renovations as well as installing new seating areas. There is also a timber framed adventure playground, which was constructed in 2011 using £300,000 investment, for older children.
Dreams in Flight La Fura dels Baus () is a Spanish theatrical group founded in 1979 in Moià, Barcelona (Spain), known for their urban theatre, use of unusual settings and blurring of the boundaries between audience and actor. "La Fura dels Baus" in Catalan means "The ferret from Els Baus" (Els Baus is a toponym from the birthplace of two of the founders, Moià). According to a 1985 review of their London performance, published in NME, the group "create a kind of adult adventure playground of fun, danger, slapstick and fantasy".Sinclair, Mick (1985) "La Fura dels Baus – London Docklands", September 1985 NME.
There is a wide variety of shops, a library, a church (shared by Anglicans, Catholics and Broadfield Christian Fellowship), a nearby mosque and a large medical centre. There is also a community centre which is run as a charitable organisation overseen by trustees from the churches. There are two infant/primary schools in the neighbourhood, an adventure playground, several open spaces with football pitches, and Broadfield Stadium, home to Crawley Town Football Club. In 2005 a purpose built Sure Start Children's Centre was opened on Creasys Drive providing support and facilities for families of under 5's.
Tiong Bahru Park is a public park between Henderson, Bukit Merah and Lower Delta Road in Singapore. First developed around 1967, it combined with a nursery site in 1977 and in 2000, it was redeveloped to give it an image which suited the theme of 'Old frame, New images'. The 3.3-hectare park today is able to meet the recreational needs of different groups of park users and is of a livelier atmosphere. Many children have great enjoyment with the tilting train in the adventure playground and the 2 zip-lines that have been newly added.
George Michael revealed that he cruised on the heath, an activity he then parodied on the Extras Christmas Special. Swimming takes place all year round in two of the three natural swimming ponds: the men's pond which opened in the 1890s, and the ladies' pond which opened in 1925. Miss Ethiopia chair Murad Mohammed, director of Ethiopian Village Adventure Playground, which claims ownership of Miss Ethiopia, have frequently announced that the Miss Ethiopia queens would participate in international pageants like Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Progress, etc. despite not owning a franchise for the pageants. Much of the judging is not done publicly, so the general population is not able to follow the process from start to finish, or see the final event taking place. Mohammed has been accused of repeatedly advertising bogus prizes for his version of Miss Ethiopia, such as cash, modeling contracts, cars, and jewelry, none of which can be verified as having ever been awarded.
In 2013 the center welcomed over 107,000 guests with over 13,000 coming from school children on field trips to the facility. In 2010, the Center completed an ambitious 2020 Vision master plan, and in 2013 opened the first phase of this plan with a red wolf exhibit and Arachnid Adventure playground. A new front entrance complex was opened in September 2018 and an Appalachian Journey exhibit is also being planned. A development in 2018 is the prehistoric Appalachian area, featuring animals – or their closest living relatives – found in the region 15,000 years ago, such as red panda (not local, but related to Bristol's panda), tapir and rhinoceros.
The Primary Campus boasts facilities such as modern learning and collaboration areas, an indoor gymnasium, a large multi-purpose room, a 25m - 6 lanes swimming pool, a large outdoor pitch with an artificial grass playing surface and numerous covered and uncovered hard surface play and sports areas. There are also science labs, a Mac lab, a maker space, performing arts studios, a library media center, information technology labs, music rooms, art rooms, a canteen, a health clinic, an adventure playground, and a newly added early childhood center. These facilities help our students to become well-rounded, balanced individuals with a passion for learning in all its diverse forms.
The Adventure playground at the Parish School was started in 2008 with a sand-pile and two cement culverts. The three-acre play-area now contains a zip-line, shade structures, and an expanse of grassy floodplain, with natural features (dirt, grass, sticks), wildlife, and various scavenged construction materials, other recyclables, lumber, pipes, fabric and rope. Children also have access to tools (hammers and nails, hand drills and saws, shovels and post-hole diggers) for building structures out of recycled building materials. Many of these materials are collected from the Building Materials Reuse Warehouse, a part of the City of Houston's Solid Waste Management Department.
The 4,000 square meter artwork was covering the facade of the Ringturm facing the Danube Canal in the center of Vienna throughout the summer of 2019, comprising a total of 30 printed sheets, each around 3 meter wide and up to 63 meter long. A recurring topic in Kostova's work is the perception of "Safe Play" and what it stands for in different cultures and social contexts. Her installations "Adventure Playground" and "Loose" are both covering this topic. In 2017 her installation “Stuck” which was a large-scale photo-mural, was commissioned for the exhibition “Shifting Layers” at the Sofia City Art Gallery in Bulgaria.
Built in the late 1950s, Llanyrafon is mainly residential but does include a municipal golf course; 3-star Hotel (Commodore Hotel on Mill Lane - closed in 2011 and now demolished to make way for a new housing development); small shopping precinct known as Llanyrafon Lakeside Shops and the large Boating Lake Park & South Fields. The Boating Lake Park includes (as the name suggests) a large lake which is home to various wildfowl birds such as swans, mallards and moorhens. There is also a large adventure playground as well as various football and rugby pitches. In recent years, the addition of a skateboarding/roller blading park was made to this area.
Former clay workings, an uneven area now overgrown with woodland, has been developed as The Spinney, a nature reserve, picnic site and children's adventure playground, through a grant from the Millennium Commission.thebythams website: bythams spinney. Simmern has an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor “nature” pool, the Dschungeldorf (“Jungle Village”) indoor children's adventure playground, a youth café, a skating park and a cinema. Beginning on the town's western outskirts is the Schinderhannes- Radweg (cycle path), running from there through the Külztal (Külzbach valley) by way of Kastellaun to Emmelshausen. To the south runs the Schinderhannes- Soonwald-Radweg (another cycle path), which links Simmern with the Soonwald. In 2007 and 2008, the town staged the Schinderhannesfestspiele (theatrical plays) for the first time. The first production was Der Ausbruch (“The Breakout”), a play about Schinderhannes's daring escape from the town's “Powder Tower” (now called the “Schinderhannes Tower”) in August 1799.
The site of the park was previously used for industrial purposes: scrap yards, sand pits and other industrial sites. The park hosted hundreds of events in its first full season of use, including outdoor concerts and other festivals, with an estimated total attendance of more than a million people. There were problems early-on with the grass being too easily worn down by visitors. Phase II of the park opened on June 10, 2004, and added approximately 17 acres (69,000 m²), including the Adventure Playground, which opened in July 2003. Included is an esplanade along the river's edge and a cafe plaza where the Tumbleweed cafe opened in the spring of 2005.
Although 14 million DM was invested in a never-completed upgrade during the time of German reunification, the military finally pulled out in 1992. On the summit plateau, which has an area of , there is at present, in addition to the tower and ruins, an entrance building, a German accommodation block with its own nuclear bunker in the cellars, several garages and workshops, two French quarters, a French operations building and four French lattice towers for electronic intelligence gathering which still carry eastwards-facing antennas. In the years after its closure the out-of- bounds area grew into a popular (illegal) adventure playground for various leisure sports. It gained a legendary reputation for geocaching.
Huapai District School is a coeducational full primary school (years 1-8), with a decile rating of 9 and a roll of 436 in 2013. Huapai School currently hosts 22 classrooms and has a roll of students as of The school has one large and one medium-sized field, with association football and rugby goals respectively, and two playgrounds, with another soon-to-be built adventure playground worth over NZ$50,000. There is a sealed bike track covering the whole school, as well as a BMX track for students. The school also has a tennis / hockey court, swimming pool, flag court, dedicated music suite, professional audio system, and a soon-to-be built completely new administration block including a large library.
North of Shelford Road, on the Clay Farm site, 2300 homes are to be built, along with a new secondary school, Trumpington Community College (to open in 2015/16), allotments, and a 120-acre country park. A new neighbourhood centre for Trumpington as a whole will host library provision, community facilities, medical facilities, retail space, youth facilities, as well as office space for the police and social services. Again forty per cent of the homes will be "affordable homes". As well as providing the allotments, an adventure playground and sports facilities for the planned secondary school, the new park will provide the local community with extensive woodlands, a bird reserve, areas of wetland with balancing ponds and sustainable urban drainage systems, used for harvesting rainwater.
