Gertrude Ann Youse, more commonly known as Gay Youse, was a painter, teacher, and gallery director. She spent most of her life making art prevalent and important to the Duxbury, Massachusetts community. Moving from Boston in the 1950s, where she had attended school at the Museum of Fine Arts, Youse was influenced by Austrian expressionist Oskar Kokoschka who gave a talk at her school and was exhibited in the Boston museum. Youse painted portraits and still lifes but was mainly known for landscapes.

In late 1995, professional baseball player Curt Schilling, who was a devoted player of ASL, separately also tried to buy the rights to ASL. Avalon Hill did not agree to either offer, they held out for more money, but introduced Schilling to MMP, who subsequently joined the company as a one-third partner, the other two thirds owned equally by Perry Cocke and Brian Youse. Aikens grew up in poverty in the Bruce Hill community of Seneca, South Carolina. He was a standout athlete in baseball, football and basketball at Seneca High School, and attended historically black South Carolina State University on a baseball and football scholarship. When S.C. State dropped baseball after Aikens' freshman year, Willie McNeil, Aikens' high school baseball coach, helped him catch on with a semi-pro summer baseball league in Baltimore, Maryland. In April 2006 founder Jill Youse searched for ways to donate breast milk and stumbled across an orphanage in Durban, South Africa, looking for donor milk to provide for their HIV positive infants. Soon after she was featured in a local newspaper, and other mothers began contacting her to find ways to donate their milk. As more mothers became involved, more articles were produced which lead to Oprah Winfrey and others. After the wide exposure provided by Oprah and Charles Gibson at ABC World News, IBMP partnered with Prolacta Bioscience, who packaged the donated milk, and Quick International Courier, who transports and ships the milk to Africa.

Episode 1: Three Irish men who play in a band in pubs and call themselves Stoisis - "The first punk-folk band in Ireland" - are sitting having pints after a concert, when Frank Murphy reveals that every Friday night for the past three weeks when he is walking home he sees a black goat which talks to him, but he doesn't know what it's saying. So Frank takes Puca and Ciaran to the scene and they too see the goat. After deciding that the creature must be possessed, Ciaran kills it with an axe, prompting The Devil to appear, asking "Why did youse kill my goat?" He asks them to play him a song and if he likes it, he will not burn their souls in the ditches of Hell.

The Newsboys Strike of 1899 fought ageist employment practices targeted against youth by large newspaper syndicates in the Northeast. The strikers demonstrated across the city for several days, effectively stopping circulation of the two papers, along with the news distribution for many New England cities. The strike lasted two weeks, causing Pulitzer's New York World to decrease its circulation from 360,000 papers sold per day to 125,000.Nasaw, David. A musical style that merges American jazz and pop, Asian traditions and the European avant-garde, his compositions have been featured throughout the United States, France, Czech, Ukraine, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan. Timpson won the ASCAP Grant for Young Composers, the BMI Student Composers Award, the DownBeat Magazine award for extended composition, and was twice nominated for the American Academy of Arts and Letters composition award. He also won the Brian M. Israel Prize (The Society for New Music and the New York Federation of Music Clubs), the Lee Ettelson Composer’s Award, National Federation of Music Club’s Youse competition, second places at the Music From China International Competition and in NACUSA (National Association of Composers of The United States of America)’s composition competition, very highly commended in England’s Kathryn Thomas Flute Competition, and honorable mention at the National Federation of Music Club’s Beyer competition.
