Johann Xaver Robert Caspary transferred it to the genus Sarcosoma in 1891. Also known as the Charred-Pancake Cup, is a near-threatened fungus native to Northern Europe.

The area consists of monumental trees along the -long stream, three waterfalls and a deep canyon called "Cadı Kazanı" (literally: Witches Cauldron). Crater Lake and Wizard Island in 1997 Wizard Island is a volcanic cinder cone which forms an island at the west end of Crater Lake in Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. The top of the island reaches above sea level, about above the average surface of the lake. The cone is capped by a volcanic crater about wide and deep. The crater was named the "Witches Cauldron" by William Gladstone Steel in 1885, who also gave Wizard Island its name at the same time.

Witches Cauldron () is an ice-filled basin on the west side of the Douglas Range, immediately west of Mount Egbert in the north part of Alexander Island, Antarctica. The basin was first sighted from the air and roughly mapped by the British Graham Land expedition in 1937. More accurately mapped from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition in 1947–48, by Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960. Named by the UK Antarctic Place- Names Committee for the feature's kettle-like shape.

The Finlandia Foothills () are a rock massif, long and wide, rising to about at the west side of Sibelius Glacier, situated in northern Alexander Island, Antarctica. The massif lies immediately south of the Geode Nunataks, north of the Handel Ice Piedmont and west of Witches Cauldron. They were photographed from the air by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition, 1947–48, and mapped from these photographs by D. Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey, 1960. In association with the glacier they were named after the symphonic poem Finlandia by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957).
