The wingback is on the opposite side compared to the single-wing and the quarterback is the primary passer, rather than the tailback. The name of the formation was arbitrary, not from its slight resemblance to the letter "A", unlike formations named "I", "T", "V", and "Y" for the shapes formed by the backs' positioning; Owen labeled the standard single wing his team's "B" formation. One major advantage of the A is the center could snap the ball to any of three players; typically to the fullback or blocking back for runs and the quarterback for passes. The fourth back, the wingback, became a crucial part of the system when Owen introduced a half-spin sweep series in 1938 which featured a wide sweep play to the motioning wingback, a dive inside by the deep fullback, and a bootleg threat away from sweep action by the quarterback.

It is doubtful that many coaches agree on the use of these terms to designate specific positions consistently from play to play, and those letters do not seem to enlighten but only to obscure. (One manual for football spectators, in the 1960s, explained that someone calling offensive plays in the huddle would point to primary, secondary, and tertiary receivers while giving them those letters; those designations would vary depending on the play, not on the positions those receivers occupied.) However, one such letter designation has caught on recently: "H-back", illustrated in the offensive formation below: E T G C G T E QB WB HB RB Here the H-back is represented by the symbol, appropriately enough, "HB". The H-back position is like that of the "wingback deep" position previously described in a version of the single wing formation, and here is shown behind a wingback to emphasize that, although more often the H-back and wingback, if there is one, are on opposite sides of the set. It is possible to say the abbreviation "HB" is already taken up by the halfback.
What to make of the replacement of the other halfback from the top illustration by the fullback in the bottom one? Well, if the wingback were playing in a true wingback position but named halfback, then the other "halfback" would be playing deeper and thus deserve the name fullback. Another justification is that the player positioned as the left halfback in the top illustration tends to have the fullback characteristics described above. But rather than call the faster, lighter back behind (and in this formation, to the left of) him a halfback and so contradict the distance-back-determines-the-name principle (and rather than add rugby's three-quarters back), we call that player "tailback"—the tail of the formation, farther back than the fullback.

Sean O Sullivan, current manager, featured at wingback.

Defensive players were often fooled as to which back was carrying the ball. The one play that was unique to the single-wing formation was the buck- lateral series. The terminology for this series of plays associates the word "buck" with the intent of the fullback to plunge into the line. Among coaches, single-wing football denotes a formation using a long snap from center as well as a deceptive scheme that evolved from Glenn "Pop" Warner's offensive style. Traditionally, the single-wing was an offensive formation that featured a core of four backs including a tailback, a fullback, a quarterback (blocking back), and a wingback. Linemen were set "unbalanced", with two on one side of the center and four on the other. This was done by moving the off-side guard or tackle to the strong side.

The Sutherland single-wing differs from the traditional single-wing in that the wingback is brought into the backfield as a halfback, flanking the fullback on the other side from the tailback. This allows a more flexible running attack to the weak-side.

However, the game did not pass without engendering some controversy.

After elimination to France, the Brazil team was largely criticized by the press and the fans. The media circulated images of the left wingback Roberto Carlos tying his shoes while Henry ran unmarked to score the winning goal.

In the original single wing, the primary ball handler was called the "tailback" and "quarterback" was used as a blocking back. In American and Canadian football, a single-wing formation was a precursor to the modern spread or shotgun formation. The term usually connotes formations in which the snap is tossed rather than handed—formations with one wingback and a handed snap are commonly called "wing T" or "winged T". Created by Glenn "Pop" Warner, the single wing was superior to the T formation in its ability to get an extra eligible receiver down field.Powers, Francis J. (1969).
Stanford had a variation on the double-wing in which the quarterback stayed right behind the strong side guard, while the tailback became the wingback to the weak side. The fullback, being the only deep back left, took all the snaps and directed the plays. The advent of the T formation in the 1940s led to a decline in the use of single-wing formations. For example, the single-wing coach Dana X. Bible, upon his retirement in 1946, saw his replacement, Blair Cherry, quickly install the T formation like many other college coaches of the day.
João Pedro da Silva Pereira (born 25 February 1984) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Turkish club Trabzonspor mainly as a right back. An attacking wingback, he was also known for his fiery temperament that led to altercations with adversary players and referees numerous times. In his country, he represented both Benfica and Sporting CP, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 227 matches and nine goals and winning the 2005 national championship with the former. He also spent two and a half seasons in Spain with Valencia, and three and a half in Turkey with Trabzonspor.
Nílton dos Santos (; 16 May 1925 – 27 November 2013) was a Brazilian footballer who primarily played as a wingback. At international level, he was a member of the Brazil squads that won the 1958 and 1962 World Cups. Regarded as one of the greatest defenders in the history of the game, Nílton Santos is a member of the World Team of the 20th Century, and was named by Pelé one of the top 125 greatest living footballers at a FIFA Awards ceremony in 2004. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Golden Foot Legends Award.
If the tailback takes the lateral from the quarterback, he is in position to sweep the end, or even throw the ball to a receiver down field. Coaches created different versions of the buck-lateral depending on the versatility of the backfield. In one version the fullback might fake a hand-off to the quarterback, who is standing with his back to the defense to hide the lack of exchange. In another version, the fullback could give the ball to the quarterback, who then might initiate a reverse by giving the ball to the wingback coming back against the flow of the play.
A tendency was seen, from early on, for players to keep their position names even when playing out of that position. For instance, before the minimum number of players on the offensive line was fixed at seven, when players who would otherwise be in the line as guards or tackles played from offensive backfield positions, the formation was known as a "guard(s) back" or "tackle(s) back" formation. Meanwhile, another position name was introduced. Players were placed in the offensive backfield just outside their ends, in a position that came to be called "wingback" (WB).
Hickey graduated from The College of William & Mary in 1942 and played wingback and tailback on the football team and guard on the basketball team. He was inducted into the William & Mary Athletics Hall of Fame in 1971. He served as a Lieutenant (junior grade) in the United States Navy during World War II. He coached football at Hampden–Sydney College for five years before joining the staff of Jim Tatum at the University of North Carolina in 1956 as an assistant. After Tatum's death in the summer of 1959, he accepted the position of head coach.
It was Nebraska's only game decided by fewer than 24 points, including a 38–6 win over Alabama the Orange Bowl. Devaney planned to retire following the season, but was convinced to return for 1972 in the hopes of winning an unprecedented third consecutive national title. Wingback Johnny Rodgers won the school's first Heisman Trophy and Nebraska beat Notre Dame to win the Orange Bowl for the third straight year, but a pair of losses effectively ended NU's title hope. Devaney retired after the season and became Nebraska's athletic director, a position he would fill until 1993, and Osborne became head coach.
VMI offered Randle a scholarship, but he did not adapt and returned home before the end of his first year. He decided to walk-on to the University of Virginia and eventually earned a football scholarship. In Randle's first two seasons, he did not have an impact, because he played as a wingback in the team's run-oriented offense. In 1957, as the offense began changing into more of an open passing attack, he ranked second on the team with 14 receptions for 168 yards. In 1958, Randle finished second in the NCAA with 47 receptions and first in kickoff returns (24.1 ypr).
In the single-wing, the quarterback was positioned behind the line of scrimmage and was flanked by a tailback, fullback and wingback. He served largely as a blocking back; the tailback typically took the snap, either running forward with the ball or making a lateral pass to one of the other players in the backfield. The quarterback's job was usually to make blocks upfield to help the tailback or fullback gain yards. Passing plays were rare in the single- wing, an unbalanced power formation where four linemen lined up to one side of the center and two lined up to the other.

Although he preferred playing on the left flank, he was naturally right-footed, and was also capable of playing on the right, both as a full- back, and as a winger, and was an accurate crosser and set-piece taker.
There, he was quite impressive, and after his 2-year-duty at Gwangju, he moved to Suwon Samsung Bluewings, a team that was nicknamed "Real Suwon" for its cash- splashing signings. He originally played as a right wingback or right fullback at the Big Bird Stadium, competing for regular with Song Chong-Gug, but in 2007, after a long-term injury of defensive midfielder Kim Nam-Il, he changed his position to defensive midfielder. Throughout the 2007 season, he was not very impressive, and many fans were especially concerned with his rough passing. However, next season, he showed his quality with improved passing and sight, and became a first team regular.
In the 1998–99 season, Associazione Calcio Milan returned to their previous winning ways under the guidance of new manager Alberto Zaccheroni. Hired from Udinese, Zaccheroni brought striker Oliver Bierhoff and right-wingback Thomas Helveg with him from his former club. He introduced Milan to his unorthodox 3–4–3 formation (in the latter half of the season modified to 3–4–1–2, to allow space for a creative attacking midfielder) in which Bierhoff was a perfect centre forward, scoring 20 goals in the league. Milan had a marvelous second half of the season, in which they competed for the Serie A title with Lazio and Fiorentina.

He made his Albion début in a 1–0 home defeat against Ipswich Town on 20 March 1999 and, utilised as a right- back, he went on to make 27 appearances for West Brom in all competitions. Following the appointment of Gary Megson as manager towards the end of the 1999–2000 season, Gabbidon failed to keep his place in the team. Megson switched to a 5-3-2 formation, signing Des Lyttle to fill the right-wingback position.
Since 1953, FSM has also been the home to Fort Smith Air National Guard Station and the Arkansas Air National Guard's 188th Wing (188 WG). The airline terminal offers efficient operational space, convenience of close parking, complimentary Wi- Fi, and wingback seating.
The H-back does occupy a position about the same as the halfback in the diamond formation of the 19th century. It is likely that "H-back" is a term derived by back formation (pun unavoidable) from the abbreviation for halfback, although arbitrary letter designation by some coach is just as good an explanation. You may see an offensive formation like that below, described as one of three tight ends: E T G C G T E QB WB RB RB However, it is labeled above as a version of the wing T, i.e. a T formation wherein one deep back has been replaced by a wingback.
During the 2007 off-season, Cha signed a transfer-free contract with Koblenz in 2. Bundesliga for the 2007–08 season. Cha made his debut for the club, in the opening game of the season, where he played in midfield, in a 4–1 loss against his former club, Mainz. He also has switched his positions back to right winger, supporting striker, and the centre forward position, after his failure to adjust to right wingback for Mainz. It was not until on 23 November 2007, Cha scored his first Koblenz goal, just after coming on as a substitute, in a 2–0 win over Wehen Wiesbaden.

The Huskers were on the Missouri 12-yard line with only seven seconds left when Nebraska quarterback Scott Frost threw a pass intended for wingback Shevin Wiggins.
Awarded with the Southern Division’s Player of the Year in 2000 at South Melbourne, the midfielder switched to Dandenong Thunder SC in 2001 and spent a great season there. Gaining the attention of agent Craig Nettlebeck, he penned a two-year contract with Melbourne Knights, a club that was part of the National Soccer League, the progenitor of the modern A-League. Deployed as a left wingback for the Knights, Ovcin lined up alongside Rodrigo Vargas, Saša Ognenovski, and Joel Porter but was rarely used seeing that Porter occupied his position and had good form. Unsatisfied with game time, he left to local outfit Port Melbourne SC where he made 10 appearances, resorting to Frankston Pines shortly after.
The two wins (both on the road) proved to be surprises, however. Philadelphia beat Kansas City (which had the best record in the AFC a year before) 21–20 and Houston 18–17 on six field goals by kicker Tom Dempsey. The latter game became known as the "Johnny Rodgers Bowl", because the loser would finish with the worst record in the league and obtain the #1 draft pick of 1973, which was then assumed to be Nebraska wingback Johnny Rodgers. The Oilers ultimately got the #1 pick, which instead turned out to be University of Tampa defensive end John Matuszak (who would end up facing Philadelphia in the Super Bowl several years later).

After appearing as an unused substitute in the opening game of the season, Cha made his Mainz debut on 19 August 2006, where he made his first start, in a 1–1 draw against Borussia Dortmund. Before the 2006–07 season kicked off, Cha Du-Ri changed his position from striker to right wingback for Mainz but throughout the season, he was hampered with a foot injury that prevented him from joining the starting line-up or even getting some playing time. Despite this, Cha Du-Ri went on to make thirteen appearance in all competitions at Mainz.

Formations with one or two wingbacks came to be called single or double wingback or wing formations. Over time, the typically fast back who played fullback, on offense and defense, was replaced by a heavier one who presented a greater threat to run with the ball more or less straight ahead, and to tackle his opponent trying to do the same. For this purpose, the player tended to be placed closer to the line than previously—often as far forward as the halfbacks (the offensive backs then forming a letter T, sometimes called a "straight T", later to distinguish it from slight variants wherein other backs did not form a line perpendicular to that from the quarterback) or even farther forward. But the position kept being called "fullback".
With less than a minute remaining in the half, the Sun Devils drove down the field and narrowed the lead to a point with another Kush field goal. Anthony scored another touchdown in the third quarter to extend Nebraska's lead to Wide receiver John Jefferson caught a ten-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Fred Mortensen, who had taken over after sophomore starter Dennis Sproul was briefly hurt on a successful sneak on fourth down at the Nebraska thirteen to extend the drive. Nebraska punted twice after short drives, with Mortensen throwing an interception in between.
Zambrotta won four Scudetti with Juventus, making a total of 217 league appearances and scoring seven goals in six seasons. In the 2005–06 season, following the injury of Jonathan Zebina, as well as the arrival of Giorgio Chiellini and his successful switch with the national team, Zambrotta was again switched to the right-back. Since then, Zambrotta switched between right and left-fullback or wingback positions frequently throughout the season. In 2005, Zambrotta extended his contract to 2010 but, following Juventus' relegation to Serie B due to the 2006 Italian football scandal (calciopoli), as well as the revocation of their 2004–05 and 2005–06 Serie A titles under Fabio Capello, he decided to leave the club in the summer of 2006, with Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona widely tipped to sign him.

Boeve would retain his place as an emerging left-wingback and played as many as 296 official matches for the club, 228 games of them in the league. On 10 February 1980 Boeve scored Ajax's 2000th league goal since the introduction of the Eredivisie in season 1956/1957 (although it is claimed by some sources that Charles Bonsink was). Boeve scored 0-2 in the match Ajax-Haarlem (1-3 final score). Ajax with Boeve were four times champion (1979/80, 1981/82, 1982/83 and 1984/1985), four times runners up (1980/81, 1985/86, 1986/87 and 1987/88) and once third (1983/84). At Ajax Boeve was five times a KNVB Cup finalist (1979/80, 1980/81, 1982/83, 1985/86 and 1986/87, the last three seasons emerging as the cup winners).
New York Yankees. Coached by Ralph Scott, the Yankees showcased Red Grange, quarterback George Pease, and wingback Eddie Tryon, a backfield who dominated the league in all offensive categories as the team finished in second place with a 10-5 record. While the rest of the league was starving at the turnstiles, the Yankees were a consistent draw. The Yankees were the only AFL team to outlast the league itself: the league dissolved as the Yankees were on a barnstorming tour of the South and West, and the Yankees entered the NFL as a continuation of the just- defunct Brooklyn franchise for the 1927 season. While New York Giants owner Tim Mara was officially the owner of the “new NFL franchise”, he leased it to C. C. Pyle and Red Grange to compete as the Yankees.

That was the start of the double wingback offense, which enjoyed > tremendous popularity until the T formation was modernized with the man in > motion. The double wing became the most effective of all systems for > effective forward passing since it permitted the quick release of four > receivers down the field. Carlisle dominated the next two years, with the 1912 and 1913 teams losing only one game each. Warner's salary increased to $4,500 (approximately $107,000 in 2016) per season. During four seasons, Evanílson made an efficient wingback partnership at the German club with another Brazilian, Dedé – arrived one season before him – as the Black Yellows won the 2002 national championship with 27 games and one goal from the player, also reaching the season's UEFA Cup final (nine appearances, seven complete). In his final two years, however, he appeared rarely due to several injuries, namely a serious cruciate ligament one, and returned in late April 2005 to his country, joining Clube Atlético Mineiro on a two-year contract, which was prematurely terminated due to lack of salary payments, with the subsequent court action. On 17 January 2006, Evanílson's returned to Germany and signed a five-month contract with 1. FC Köln, appearing in only one complete game in a relegation-ending season, the 0–1 loss at Hannover 96 on 18 March.
When Guus Hiddink arrived to take over the reins, he received mass criticism from the Korean public when he chose the inexperienced Song in Korean starting line-up for the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup, to replace the popular but injured captain Hong Myung Bo for the tournament. Under Guus Hiddink's expert guidance Song developed into a key player that was always one of the first names to go on Hiddink's team sheet during the 2002 World Cup. One of the reasons Hiddink rated Song so highly was his uncanny ability to shut down opposing players - against the highly fancied Portugal, Song was deployed as a wingback and successfully marked a (although injured) Luís Figo out of the game during Korea's group match, greatly reducing the threat to Korea's defence. Song started his professional career as a right winger and Luís Figo was his greatest idol.
Dedé signed for Germany's Borussia Dortmund for the 1998–99 campaign, aged only 20. He made his Bundesliga debut on 14 August 1998, being stretchered off in the early minutes of an eventual 1–2 away loss against VfB Stuttgart, but finished his first year with 29 appearances as the Black Yellow finished fourth. In the following season, Dedé was joined at Borussia by compatriot Evanílson, and the two proceeded to form an efficient wingback partnership in the following four years, being essential as the club won the 2002 league and reached that year's UEFA Cup final (with the player appearing in a total of 45 official games during the campaign, scoring once); he never appeared in less than 30 games from 2004 to 2008. Afterwards, as his countryman before him, Dedé also begun suffering with injury problems, also facing stiff left-back competition from younger Marcel Schmelzer.
He was a part of the OB team that eliminated multiple European Cup winners Real Madrid from the international 1994–95 UEFA Cup tournament. OB had lost the first match 2–3 at home in Odense. In the second game, Bisgaard came on as a substitute for wingback Steen Nedergaard. 15 seconds before the game ended, Bisgaard scored the final goal in OB's 2–0 win, and secured the club advancement in the tournament.Leif Rasmussen, "Grønskollingernes triumf", Ekstra Bladet, 7 December 1994 OB was then eliminated by Italian club A.C. Parma in the quarter-finals. Bisgaard got his national breakthrough in the 1996–97 Superliga season, when he played all 33 league games and scored 16 goals for OB. He was called up to the first Danish national team match of new national manager Bo Johansson, and Bisgaard made his international debut in the August 1996 game against Sweden.
In July 2008 he moved from Red Star Belgrade to Udinese. He played in pre-season friendlies for Udinese. However, Udinese did not wish to allocate one of the two non-EU registration quota on Basta, and Basta moved to Lecce on loan from Red Star Belgrade, in order to borrow the quota from Lecce, like his teammate and countryman Aleksandar Luković. After returning to Udinese in summer 2009, he became the starting right wingback soon after the season started instead of his usual midfield position. He made his debut on 23 September 2009 against A.C. Milan, replacing Mauricio Isla after 27 minutes. Udinese won the match 1–0. After injuries to Simone Pepe, he played as a right-sided midfielder in their 3–5–2 formation for a few matches. Basta was later injured and missed the whole 2010–11 Serie A season, meaning that Mauricio Isla secured Basta's place in the team.
Despite their relegation, he was bought by Udinese and was soon to have success in the Udine club. Combined with his international breakthrough with the Denmark team, his first year at Udinese earned him the 1994 Danish Player of the Year award. For five seasons, he was first choice in the right side of the Udinese starting line-up, as a wingback charging up and down the sideline. He played 30 of 38 games, as Udinese finished second in the 1994–95 Serie B season, and won promotion back into the Serie A after a single season in Serie B. Under guidance of coach Alberto Zaccheroni, Udinese steadily became a tough opponent for the other clubs in Serie A, and finished in tenth place of the 1995–96 Serie A season. Helveg scored his first national team goal in June 1996, before representing Denmark in his first major international tournament at the 1996 European Championship (Euro 1996) later that month.
A common T formation (the Power-T) In American football, a T formation (frequently called the full house formation in modern usage, sometimes the Robust T) is a formation used by the offensive team in which three running backs line up in a row about five yards behind the quarterback, forming the shape of a "T".Bible, pp. 115-117. Numerous variations of the T formation have been developed, including the Power-T, where two tight ends are used, the Pro T, which uses one tight end and one wide receiver, or the Wing T, where one of the running backs (or wingback) lines up one step behind and to the side of the tight end. Any of these can be run using the original spacing, which produced a front of about seven yards, or the Split-T spacing, where the linemen were farther apart and the total length of the line was from 10 to 16 yards.
Following the promotion from the Belgian Second Division on 26 May 2015 by virtue of winning the play-offs, only few players were deemed capable of competing at the highest level. The squad consisted of many decent players, but at least ten new players would need to be signed and only former Belgian international goalkeeper Logan Bailly and young wingback Dion Cools were often named as having sufficient skills. Both players would leave OH Leuven throughout the summer however, as Bailly was signed as a back-up for Craig Gordon by Scottish giants Celtic, while 19-year- old Cools was signed by Club Brugge because of his great potential. Other departures included fan favorite Kenny Thompson and striker on loan Giuseppe Rossini who had both announced their departure before the promotion was achieved while secondary striker Ibrahim Somé and young goalkeeper Senne Vits also left the team soon after the promotion as they were signed by WS Brussels and Standard Liège respectively.
With the departure of first goalkeeper Logan Bailly and reserve keeper Senne Vits, the team was down to two goalkeepers, Yves Lenaerts and Nick Gillekens, leading to the signing of French experienced 35-year old goalkeeper Rudy Riou, who would turn out to become the first goalkeeper, with Lenaerts his backup. Towards the end of the summer 2015 transfer window, OH Leuven loaned Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Volovyk from Shakhtar Donetsk and signed wingback Pieterjan Monteyne and striker Kim Ojo. This in turn led to the departure of Olivier Lusamba who was given a free transfer, while both Yohan Brouckaert and Kenneth Van Goethem were loaned out to Belgian Second Division teams as they were unlikely to be getting much time on the field. Defender Kenny Van Hoevelen was also deemed surplus, but remained in the squad and would not play a single minute throughout the season, except for matches with the reserves.
When Liverpool signed midfielder Jason McAteer, who arrived in 1995, Roy Evans converted McAteer to right-back and employed Jones on the left-side in a wingback role as Liverpool changed from their normal 4–4–2 to an attack-minded 5–3–2 formation. After the 1996 FA Cup Final, Jones was advised to take a six-month break from football due to back problems. He returned to action, but the next two seasons were plagued by injuries, and in April 1998 he played what was to be his last game for Liverpool against Chelsea. An injury in his left knee could not be fixed, despite three operations, and at the end of the 1998–99 season, in which he had not played a game, he was released on a free transfer by new coach that year, Gerard Houllier, who was ushering in a new era at the club to eliminate the club's Spice Boys public image and stereotype.
Coco was a quick, physical, and tactically versatile player, who was primarily deployed as an offensive-minded fullback or as a wingback, due to his tenacity, and work-rate, as well as his defensive and offensive attributes. Although he was naturally right footed, he was also capable of playing both on the right and the left flank, and was known for his strong tackling, physicality, determination, and crossing ability with both feet. Due to his pace, stamina, skill, and technique, he was also occasionally utilised as a wide midfielder in a 3–5–2 or 3–4–3 formation. Despite his talent, he was often injury-prone and inconsistent, while he had a difficult character and lacked discipline off the pitch; his chances were often limited both at club and international level, due to the presence of Paolo Maldini in his position, whom Coco had initially been tipped to replace as Milan and Italy's starting left-back.
However, some formations have placed the heavy back even more starkly forward, to function as a blocker for the running backs. In the diagram below of the V formation used by Dartmouth College in the 1950s, the respective position names have been rationalized as "BB" (a not-very-popular designation, "blocking back") and RB: E T G C G T E QB BB RB RB (The running and blocking backs can be seen to form a letter V.) However, in its time the running backs were known as halfbacks and the blocking back as fullback. Another such example is the I formation, shown below in a with- wingback version: WR T G C G T TE WB QB FB TB The diagram shows the more geometrically rational designation of tailback behind the fullback. However, some would label the deepest back in this form of deuce backfield "HB", considering one halfback to have moved behind the fullback, who is in both the role of blocking back and the heavy up-the-middle runner.
Akron Pros' 1920 team photo Pollard and most of the top 1919 players planned to return to the Pros in 1920. The team opened the season at League Park in early October by defeating the Wheeling Stogies, 43–0. Al Nesser, one of the infamous football-playing Nesser Brothers, scored three touchdowns on fumble recoveries. The following week the Pros defeated the Columbus Panhandles 37–0 using former guard, Frank McCormick as a wingback. After a 13–0 win over the Cincinnati Celts, the Pros played the Cleveland Tigers, a team composed mainly of ex-stars from the Massillon Tigers. Bob Nash, who played for Massillon in 1919, broke up a Stan Cofall punt resulting in an Akron touchdown and a final score of 7–0. The Pros then shocked the league by beating the Canton Bulldogs, who were considered the top team in the nation in 1920 with stars Jim Thorpe, Joe Guyon, Pete Calac and Pete Henry, 10–0. However, after a rained out game against the Detroit Heralds, the Pros played a reorganized Tigers team that held the Pros to a 7–7 tie.
A versatile, tenacious and hard-working right-footed player, Callejón is capable of playing anywhere along the front line, and has been used as a forward, as a winger on either flank, in the centre as an attacking midfielder and as a supporting striker. Although he usually occupies a position in or behind the main attacking line, due to his personality and ability to provide balance to his teams by linking-up play between the forwards and midfielders, he is also capable of playing in the centre as a main striker, and was also occasionally deployed in deeper roles under Mourinho during his time at Real Madrid, as a central midfielder or even as an attacking full-back or wingback. In his time at Napoli, Callejón has been used nearly exclusively in the right-wing position. A quick, mobile and creative player, with good technical ability, Callejón is capable of both creating and scoring goals, due to his powerful shot and excellent offensive movement off the ball, as demonstrated by his ability to lose his markers by make attacking runs in behind the defensive line and into the area from deeper or wider areas.
During the premiere episode of the series, the presenters of Top Gear claimed that, between the filming of the ninth and tenth series, rival motoring magazine show Fifth Gear had broken into their premises and burnt down all their props. Prior to the episode being aired, a fire occurred on 12 August 2007 at Hill End Farm, destroying a barn being used as a storage facility for Top Gear props.Top Gear props site destroyed by arson - Auto Trader UK - News and Reviews Hub This was evidently shown to be the case on the episode, as the Cool Wall and all the cars' photos for it had been destroyed, while the car seats the hosts used on the centre stage for the 'News' segments and for interviewing the celebrities during the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segments on the centre stage of the studio, along with the flat screen monitor, had been replaced with wingback chairs and an old TV. It was later revealed that the incident had been a publicity stunt dreamt up between Clarkson and Vicki Butler-Henderson, who were old friends.
