Kasai competed in a match which was later dubbed "Un F'N Believable," in reference to the shows name. During the match, Kasai was crucifix bombed over the top rope into lightubes, barbed wire and tables, causing Kasai's elbow bone to pop out of his skin, he continued the match after having his elbow taped up. During 2001 in Japan, the Wifebeater and Ryuji Yamakawa faced off in a match which ended Yamakawa's career after the Wifebeater chokensteined him off the ring apron through a table set up on the outside. In a 'shoot interview' Wifebeater stated communication difficulties between the two was a major factor which led to the incident.

Justice Pain would also compete against Lobo in the Cage of Death at Cage of Death II and defeated him for the CZW Heavyweight Championship. Justice Pain was well known for forming the original H8 Club with Wifebeater. While still holding the heavyweight championship, Justice Pain also won the tag team championship with Wifebeater. Around this time, a new H8 Club was formed with Nick Gage and Nate Hatred.

Mondo on the shoulders of Zandig and Wifebeater, after winning the Tournament of Death in 2003 Mondo fought Messiah in the first round and came up short against Wifebeater at CZW's first Tournament of Death in a memorable spot where Mondo received a weedwhacker to the stomach. However, Mondo and Wifebeater would team up to face Necro Butcher and "Mr Insanity" Toby Klein at Ultraviolent Freedom of Expression on September 14, 2002. His partner Blade returned at Beyond The Barrier on October 12, 2002, with Mondo defeating Johnny Kashmere. At Cage of Death IV on December 13, 2002, he competed in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match against The Backseat Boyz with Mondo as his partner but ended up losing.

The band remains active today with a different line-up: Sickie Wifebeater (Steve Carlson) on lead guitar, Dr Heathen Scum (Steve Broy) on bass guitar, Cousin Fister (Bryan) on rhythm guitar, and John Christopher on drums.

Gage is known for being the first ever CZW World Heavyweight Champion and for being part of the H8 Club tag team. Before teaming with Nate Hatred as the H8 Club, Gage won the CZW World Tag Team Championship with Zandig. Gage would also find great success in his run for the CZW Ironman Title, which he had several brutal matches with the likes of LOBO, The Wifebeater, Nick Mondo & Mad Man Pondo. One of the most notable matches from the time period was the first ever, 200 Light Tubes Death Match against The Wifebeater.

Upon the title's creation, CZW recognized Derek Domino as the first CZW Iron Man Champion on February 13, 1999 at their Opening Night event. Domino immediately had to defend the title that night against Lobo, who went on to win the match and the championship. On June 10, 2000 at CZW's Caged To The End event, Mad Man Pondo defeated Wifebeater to win the championship. However, on July 22, 2000 at CZW's No Rules, No Limits event, Wifebeater was awarded the championship without facing Pondo in a match for unknown reasons.

Mondo's first title capture was the CZW Iron Man Championship, against Wifebeater and Mad Man Pondo at Breakaway Brawl in June 2001. Mondo was involved the extremely violent 6 man tag team match teaming with Zandig, Wifebeater against The Backseat Boyz and Justice Pain at H8 Club Dead? in July 2001, in this match his back was a mess of blood. Mondo was in a no rope barbed wire match in the pouring rain against Nick Gage at And Justice And For All in August 2001, he was splashed through a table by Gage, and lost the Iron Man Championship.

Sickie Wifebeater uses a 1978 or 1979 Marshall MKII 100 Watt Lead with checkerboard speaker cabinets. Originally, he used the fullstack as pictured on the Get Up and Die album cover but in later years he mainly ran it as a halfstack.

Instead, that night Wifebeater defended the title against Nick Gage, who went on to win the title. During Lobo's third reign CZW held their Breakaway Brawl show on June 9, 2001. A Triple Threat Deathmatch for the CZW Iron Man Championship occurred involving Nick Mondo, Wifebeater, and Mad Man Pondo, which Mondo won to become champion. Lobo was not involved due to a broken leg injury he sustained from the night before. At CZW's High Stakes on May 11, 2002, CZW held a Four Way match for the CZW World Heavyweight and CZW Iron Man Championships, in which then-CZW World Heavyweight Champion Justice Pain and then-Iron Man Champion Adam Flash defended against The Messiah and Mondo.

Wifebeater holds the record of most reigns, with four. At days, Kevin Steen's only reign is the longest in the title's history. Lobo, with a combined three reigns, holds the record for most days as champion at 392. Domino's only and Wifebeater's second reign share the record for shortest reign at less than one day.

These two continued wrestling each other and competed in the first ever Cage of Death match at the first Cage of Death show. Lobo won the match and regained the title. He would lose this title to Wifebeater, but regain it one more time the following year. Lobo also challenged for the CZW Heavyweight Championship.

Hoke and the Mentors worked to gain attention through farcical demonstrations of political incorrectness. The band's guitarist, Eric Carlson, renamed himself "Sickie Wifebeater", and the group often appeared in public wearing black executioner hoods. During the 1985 U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation's hearings into the proliferation of "obscene" lyrics in popular music, the Rev. Jeff Ling recited the lyrics to the Mentors song, "Golden Shower" to musician Frank Zappa, who opposed the hearings.

Bo had trained previously under Charlie Fulton at the Monster Factory. At the suggestion of Matt Stryker, Spradlin underwent further training at Les Thatcher's Cincinnati- based HWA Main Event Wrestling Camp between May 1999 and November 1999. In December 1999, he traveled to Ocala, Florida to train under Dory Funk, Jr. at the Funkin' Conservatory professional wrestling school. As Spradlin wrestled wearing what is popularly known as a "wifebeater" style of shirt, he began using the ring name "Wife Beater".

His success in IWA-MS lead him to become a name attraction for hardcore oriented indy promotions in North America. For Combat Zone Wrestling, Butcher worked a program with Wifebeater, losing to him in the first Tournament of Death in 2002. Butcher returned the following year and was eliminated in round two by Ian Rotten. He reached the final at the 3rd annual Tournament of Death before finally winning Tournament of Death 4 by defeating John Zandig and Nick Gage.

He would later team up with Hatred and wrestle such teams as The Briscoe Brothers, VD, and The Backseat Boyz. Together, they won the tag team championship from the original H8 Club of Wifebeater and Justice Pain. Gage and Hatred would break up in 2003 when Hatred joined Messiah's stable, the Hi-V. Gage and Hatred would embark on a bloody feud against one another, competing in a Tables Match, Cage Match, Dog Collar Match, as well as a 200 Light Tubes Death Match.

The event was scheduled to be main evented by Terry Funk and Atsushi Onita in an explosion match, a rematch of their FMW 4th Anniversary Show encounter. The deal fell through when Onita canceled. Although the show took place and was main evented by Nick Gage and the Wifebeater in the first ever 200 lightubes match in the United States, the show was later called 'They Said it Couldn't be Done'. On June 8, 2001, the company secured a TV taping for the show Take 1.

Although characterised by some of the same items as British skinhead fashion (flight jackets; Ben Sherman shirts or Fred Perry shirts; rolled up jeans; suspenders; and combat boots or Dr. Martens boots,) hardcore skinhead dress is considerably less strict than traditional skinhead style. Items that have been popular in the hardcore skinhead subculture include: leather jackets, army jackets, windbreaker jackets, hooded sweatshirts, bandanas, white "wifebeater" shirts, looser jeans (perhaps torn at the knee), heavy chains worn as belts, and construction or rigger's gloves. Trainer sneakers, in particular Adidas Sambas, have been popular.

The championship was created and debuted on March 27, 1999 at CZW's The Staple Gun event. The first time the championship changed hands on foreign soil was on April 15, 2001, when Wifebeater defeated John Zandig for the championship in Birmingham, England at a live event. Title reigns are determined by professionally wrestling matches, usually of the hardcore/ultraviolent type.

During his tenure in Xtreme Pro Wrestling (XPW) he feuded with Chris Candido, defeating Candido twice with the final bout being on the last show in the history of XPW. When he returned in 2004, he reformed the H8 Club with Wifebeater. They teamed up to face Nick Gage and Nate Hatred at Cage of Death VI with the winners having the right to call themselves the H8 Club. At the end of the match, Nick Gage turned on Nate Hatred and allowed Justice Pain to pin Hatred.

They broke up in 1988. During their run, a number of lead guitarists and drummers were part of the band, including on drums, David Buzzelli (Doktor Stixx), Louie Schilling, Walin' Jennings Morgan, Dave Kuzma, Blaze; and on guitar, Sickie Wifebeater, Michael Montano and Brian Butler. in 2001, Ektro Records in Finland reissued Fun at the Funeral, supplemented with bonus tracks which combined live recordings with most of the demos for No Laughing Matter. Ektro owner and Circle bassist Jussi Lehtisalo asked Duff to guest on a Circle EP, Earthworm (2006), and later a full LP Hollywood (2009).

However, Flash soon regained the title after he defeated Justice Pain on July 13 before losing it to The Messiah on October 12. In Cage of Death 5, he was a member of the HI-V, but was eliminated when Wifebeater hit a sidewalk slam off the super scaffold/cage into the thumbtack tacks on Adam Flash, In Cage of Death 6, he would face Messiah and Kaos for the CZW World Heavyweight Championship, but did not win the match. Later he would feud with Kaos in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, Early 2006/07 he would start a stable known a Pandora's Box with B.J. Whitmer and Pandora.

He held the championship for two months before losing it to Matt Sydal on January 17, 2004. In June 2004, Bailey competed in the sixth King of the Deathmatch where he lost to Mad Man Pondo and Toby Klein, and the following month he participated in the third Tournament of Death where he lost to Wifebeater after defeating Chri$ Ca$h. On December 11, 2004, he teamed up with Chri$ Ca$h, Nate Webb and SeXXXy Eddy to win the CZW World Tag Team Championship. Team Ca$h held the championship until February 5, 2005, when Ca$h and Webb lost to H8 Club (Justice Pain and Nick Gage).

Kasai in July 2016 In 1998, Kasai made his debut in a Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) event in Osaka during the Deathmatch Wrestling boom of the late 90s. As BJW established a working relationship with American promotion Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) at the turn of the millennium, Kasai joined the stable "CZW Warriors" (CZW Army) and feuded against the "BJW Warriors". Kasai formed the stable "Big Dealz" in 2001, with John Zandig, Nick Mondo, Wifebeater, Z-Barr and Trent Acid. Since then Kasai has wrestled mainly for BJW and occasionally for other promotions such as Pro Wrestling Zero-One, K-Dojo and Apache Pro-Wrestling Army.

Early 2000 saw CZW establish a connection with the death match wrestling orientated company Big Japan Pro Wrestling, credited to have popularized the death match wrestling style that CZW continued to emphasize in the United States, dubbed as "Ultraviolence". Both promotions traded talent throughout 2000 and 2001, the company vs company feud was primarily based in Japan. The "CZW warriors" in BJW included Wifebeater, Nick Gage, Trent Acid, Justice Pain, Johnny Kashmere, Nate Hatred, Ruckus, Nick Berk, as well as John Zandig as the leader. Notable incidents included Zandig turning face in Japan and Jun Kasai joining Zandig as part of his Big Dealz stable in CZW.

Combat Zone Wrestling's yearly death-match tournament features the use of fire, weed whackers, light tubes, and other weapons. Previous winners include Wifebeater (TOD 1 and 3), Nick Mondo (TOD 2), Necro Butcher (TOD 4), Nick Gage (TOD 5 & TOD vs. Gorefest), Drake Younger (TOD 6), Brain Damage (TOD: FF), Jimmy Havoc (TOD 7), and John Zandig who gave the trophy over to Thumbtack Jack who lost the Tournament of Death trophy at Best of the Best to DJ Hyde (TOD 8). Due to the incidents at TOD 8 another event named TOD 8.5 Rewind took place in the same year which was won by Thumbtack Jack.

The two would trade the Big Japan Death Match Title between one another. Gage would take part in Cage of Death V: Suspended, as a part of Team Zandig, to take on the Hi-V.They feuded for nearly one year, and met in the Cage of Death match at Cage of Death V. At the end of the match, Hatred turned on Messiah and rejoined Gage. After reforming, they regained the tag championship, but lost it to The Blackout. At Cage of Death VI, The H8 Club of Nick Gage and Nate Hatred faced the H8 Club of Wifebeater and Justice Pain, with the winners winning the right to the H8 Club name.

IWS has collaborated with various international wrestling promotions including Combat Zone Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, Chikara, Westside Xtreme Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, DDT Pro-Wrestling, Ring of Honor, AAA, AEW and WWE. In the past, IWS shows have had international championships defended on them and on some occasions, wrestlers have held both IWS and international championships simultaneously. On July 24, 2004, SeXXXy Eddy, The Green Phantom, Evil Ninja & The Arsenal entered the CZW Tournament of Death III. In the semi-finals, Eddy defeated The Arsenal in a Light Tube Ropes & Corners Match, where he cut an artery in his left forearm, thereby forfeiting the final 3-Way with Necro Butcher & Wifebeater.

As a teenager, Broy co-founded The Mentors in Seattle, Washington in 1976 with two classmates at Roosevelt High School, guitarist Eric Carlson (Sickie Wifebeater), and drummer/vocalist Eldon Hoke (El Duce.) The band later relocated to Los Angeles, California and gained extensive notoriety for their extreme shock rock aesthetic. Broy was in and out of the Mentors during their early career due to his preoccupation while pursuing degrees in engineering.Official Facebook bio His replacement, Mike Dewey, also used the Dr. Heathen Scum moniker during his time with the band, causing confusion regarding contribution credits. Broy returned to the bass in 1985 when The Mentors signed to Death Records, a subsidiary of Metal Blade, and released their debut studio LP, You Axed For It!.

They won the CZW World Tag Team Championships around this time; but eventually split and began a feud with one another after losing the titles to the original H8 Club of Justice Pain and Wifebeater. The feud would still go on as at Crushing The Competition on February 10, 2001 in Sewell, New Jersey, Blade would team up with Super Crazy to take on Mondo in a Handicap 3-way ladder match. The feud would end in a "Barbed Wire Ladder Match" as well a huge Swanton bomb an off the Champs Arena wall from Blade on to Mondo through a table. Blade won the match with a moonsault from the top rope with a ladder he positioned under Mondo, breaking Mondo's nose in the process.

Wifebeater pleaded that they should not execute the maneuver, though the move went on and saw Yamakawa's head slam against the concrete. Both wrestlers have stated that it was half of each other's fault when Yamakawa did not take the move as it should be performed; back first, though some even blame the Japanese tables, which are smaller, more sturdy and harder to break, the table in this incident did not break and simply slipped from underneath of Yamakawa thus only connecting with his legs, causing his head to take the impact on the concrete. The reason for the collapse of the inter-promotional deal is uncertain. After a controversial exploding panes of glass match, between Zandig and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga in Japan, 2001, Zandig left BJW with the BJW death match title belt.

This led to a match at Cage of Death V which Sonjay won to become the new Junior Heavyweight Champion. In the early 2000s, as a member of the stable CZW Warriors (CZW Army), Ruckus toured all over Japan, including Kanagawa, Tokyo, Hokkaido, Ibaraki, Miyagi, Yamagata, Shizuoka, with the promotion Big Japan Pro Wrestling, facing several wrestlers including Trent Acid, The Winger, Fantastic, Ryuji Ito, John Zandig, Shadow WX, Daikokubo Benkei, Abdullah Kobayashi, Van Hammer, Hideki Hosaka, Kamikaze, Shunma Matsuzaki, Naoki Numazawa, Nick Gage, teaming on several occasions with Wifebeater, Madman Pondo, Jun Kasai, Justice Pain, BADBOY Hido, Fantastic, Ryuji Ito,12/2 Yokohama Arena - 10/27 Korakuen Hall, Tokyo - 10/20 Sapporo Teisen Hall - 10/16 Mombetsu City Sports Center - 10/19 Kushiro Tottori Dome - 10/25 Kitaibaraki City Gymnasium - 10/17 East Kitami Training Center - 10/23 Yamoto City Gymnasium - 10/15 Obihiro City General Gymnasium - 11/25 Korakuen Hall - 10/18 Nemuro City Youth Center - 10/24 Sakata City Public Gymnasium - 11/29 Odawara Arena Sub Arena - 11/27 Kira Messe Numazu and won the BJW Junior Heavyweight Championship in December 2001 in Yokohama.
