Middays are handled by Tommy Lang, and Nights by Molly Suter. Local News is aired hourly and High School Sports are featured nightly. KCJJ is affiliated with CBS and CNN. KCJJ airs weathercasts from Severestudios.com.

In early 1987, the station ceased producing its own local weathercasts and began taking legislative and state capitol reports from KGWN; it cut its news department from 11 staff down to 8. Even deeper cuts followed the next year, with six of the remaining eight news positions in Casper eliminated. Viewers in Casper now mostly saw KGWN's news.

André M. Bernier (born May 22, 1959) is an American meteorologist, serving as the Cleveland-based WJW-TV's weekday evening meteorologist. He won two Emmy awards for his weathercasts and has been at the station since February 1988, when Cleveland's very first full-length local morning newscast began. After nearly twenty years on weekday mornings, Bernier moved to the weekday prime- time on May 28, 2007.

After Lisa Thomas- Laury went on medical leave, Tynan took over as co-host of several locally produced specials, including the 6ABC Dunkin' Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 4th of July Parade, Philly on Wheels, and the Flower Show. In 2009, after Dave Roberts retired, she replaced him on the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. weathercasts while maintaining her role as the 11pm meteorologist .

Shortly after his retirement, longtime meteorologist Dave Towne continued that tradition for another decade. Dave was joined briefly by Andre Bernier who was the weekday morning and noon meteorologist in 1981. Andre left KGAN in March 1982 when he became part of the launch team for The Weather Channel. In 1984, Dave Towne brought Doppler weather radar to the station and it became the first in the area to utilize the system's images for weathercasts and severe weather coverage.

He also uses and works into his weathercasts astronomic terminology, such as the term "Indian Moon." Todd currently resides in Massachusetts and does voice-overs and video on the web. He is also doing snowfall totals for snowplowing contractors and remains active as an on-call meteorologist, having covered Hurricanes Irene (August 2011), Isaac (August 2012) and Sandy (October 2012) and Election Week coverage (November 5–9, 2012) for CNBC. He was an on-air television and radio meteorologist at KTVX ABC4 in Salt Lake City, Utah (2007-2010) and at WWLP in Springfield MA (2006) after leaving WHDH-TV) in Boston.

Recently, WCBS-TV has moved back to third place in ratings due to an increase in ratings at WNBC. On March 12 and 13, 2020, WCBS-TV's evening newscasts were produced by Los Angeles sister station KCBS-TV, and its morning newscasts originated from KPIX-TV in San Francisco, after the CBS Broadcast Center was closed for disinfection due to two employees tested positive for the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), with weathercasts being originated from the weather department's mobile broadcast unit. Newscasts resumed from the Broadcast Center that weekend; however, on March 18, the Broadcast Center was again shut down and production was transferred back to KCBS-TV. On March 20, WCBS-TV began to originate newscasts with their regular talent from the Stamford, Connecticut studios of YES Network, which were otherwise dark due to the delay of Major League Baseball's upcoming season due to the pandemic, before moving back again to the Broadcast Center, beginning on April 17, with the morning newscast.
