John was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2008 for Best Weathercast and in 2009 in the On-Air Talent/Weather Anchor category. Again in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 John won the First Place Associated Press Award for Best Weathercast. Under John's leadership, the StormWarn7 weather forecast on WZVN-TV is certified for 2015 as "Southwest Florida's Most Accurate Weather Forecast" by WeatheRate, an Independent Research Company based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sussman also won the Radio- Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) award for best local weathercast in 1987. From 1988 to 1993, Sussman was under contract to be substitute weather anchor for CBS This Morning. Sussman was the evening news meteorologist with Group W's San Francisco TV station KPIX from 1989 to 2000, where he won RTNDA best local weathercast awards from 1990 to 1995 and 1997 to 1999. At KPIX, Sussman also hosted a weekly five-minute segment called "Brian's Kids" that profiled foster children.

In 2007 and 2014, John won a Second Place Florida Associated Press Award for Best Weathercast in a Medium Sized Television Market. In Florida, the Medium Sized TV Markets include Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Pensacola, And Fort Myers. Then, in 2008, John won a First Place Florida Associated Press Award for Best Weathercast. John worked alongside his WBBH brethren again on a simulcast during the landfall of Tropical Storm Fay in August 2008.

Brookstone licensed and sold an Ambient Device called the "Brookstone Weathercast Wireless 5-day Forecaster." Consumers who bought this weather reporting device found out in February 2018 that Ambient Devices would no longer be sending data to these devices, rendering them e-waste.

Bouchard has been nominated twice for a New England Emmy for Best Weathercast. He won the Best of Boston award for Best Meteorologist in 2007, 2008 and 2010. He was named the Maine Association of Broadcasters Best Meteorologist in 2002, and also won an AP Award for Best Meteorologist in 2001.

Souza has received 17 Emmy nominations and six Emmy Awards, including Best Weathercast, Best Weather and Science Report and for Special Live Reporting, as well as a first place award from the Associated Press for a report on Shipwreck Diving in Lake Michigan. The National Association of Black Journalists recognized her with a nomination for her story about fugitive slave ships on Lake Michigan.

It is located west of Boston in Hopkinton. In 2002, chief meteorologist Dick Albert was joined by former rival Harvey Leonard who left WHDH to become co-chief meteorologist with Albert. Widely regarded as two of Boston's top meteorologists, Leonard and Albert were honored by the Associated Press in 2005 for "Best Weathercast in New England". Leonard became the sole chief meteorologist following Albert's retirement in February 2009.

He also served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps as a meteorologist/oceanographer for six years (1990-1996). He then moved back to Connecticut to forecast the weather locally, and started at WTNH in February 2003. Simmmons currently resides in Windham County, Connecticut. Simmons received an Emmy nomination for his snowstorm coverage in Connecticut and was awarded 2002 Best Weathercast in Connecticut by the Associated Press.

He has also been awarded four times by the Associated Press, First Place winner of "Best Weathercast" in Texas. From 1996 to 2005, Delkus was the chief meteorologist at WCPO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio. While there, he received a pair of first place Associated Press Awards for best regularly scheduled weather. Prior to joining WCPO-TV, Delkus worked as a meteorologist for four years at WFTV, the ABC affiliate in Orlando, Florida.

Delkus joined WFAA-TV in June 2005. He has both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association seals of approval. He attended Mississippi State University for his master's-level meteorology courses, and holds a Bachelor of Science in TV, Radio, and Film from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). While at WFAA, he has won sixteen Emmy Awards for "Outstanding Weather Anchor", "Outstanding Weathercast", "Outstanding Host of a News Special" and "Outstanding Host of Special Event Coverage - Big D NYE".

John is probably best known for some of his weather live shots ranging from playing basketball against Sports Director Kevin Connors at Dave & Busters in the Palisades Center Mall to delivering weather while driving a convertible BMW Z-3 on the New York State Thruway to benefit breast cancer research to writing the Christmas Eve forecast to The Night Before Christmas while sitting dressed in a Santa hat next to the Christmas tree at Palisades Center. In 2000, John was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Weathercast in the New York Region. John also had over 10 years of broadcasting experience in radio before moving to television. John worked at several radio stations in Western and Central Pennsylvania, including WSSZ, WHJB, WLSW, WQTW, WCNS, WLCY, WJAC-AM, WKYE, WUZI, WVRT, and WWPA.
