The latter is a Zapotec village of about a dozen families, who make very simple, yet light, earth colored cookware and utensils.

The punchbowls can be considered a harlequin pair as they are similar but not exactly matching. They are both Chinese ceramics ware of Cantonese origin, made of clear glaze on hard-paste porcelain and painted with polychrome famille rose overglaze enamel and gilding. They are similar in size, each approximately in diameter, high and weighing about , footring high and in diameter. Whilst the indigenous Australian groups painted within the inner centre of both bowls are identical, the outer panoramic views of Sydney Cove are not.
The project took four years and cost an estimated $US14 million. Over 250,000 intact ceramic artefacts were recovered. Over three seasons the team excavated a third of a million pieces of pottery. Most of the pottery was repetitive everyday table ware of little artistic value but there were also items of outstanding artistry. An ‘Evaluation Committee’ of leading Vietnamese archaeologists and art historians selected all the unique pieces for the National Collection in Hanoi and then other museums were invited to select what they wished.
The Cro-magnons did acquire the Neolithic from the Starčevo culture to the south. In the Szatmár culture prior to 5500 BC, the Cro-magnons modified their Mesolithic ways and took on Starcevan artifact types and pottery styles, and the same can be said of the succeeding Tiszadob culture of roughly 5200-5000. By 5000 the LBK had replaced the Starcevo in the surrounding region and it influenced the Cro-magnons in the Bükk culture. Bükk pottery is the finest ware of the LBK.

Various ingredients in a donabe Donabe (Japanese: 土鍋, literally "earthenware pot") are pots made out of a special clay for use over an open flame in Japanese cuisine, and in the case of semi-stoneware Banko ware of high petalite content. Often, the food is cooked at the table on a gas burner for various nabemono dishes such as shabu-shabu and dishes served simmering including nabeyaki udon. They are sized by sun, one of the Japanese units of measurement. The donabe is usually glazed on the inside and porous on the outside.
The site's Jamie Cutteridge voiced the belief that if the album's "Ultralight Beam", "Jesus Walks" or "Low Lights" had been released by anyone other than West, "we'd be hailing them as the new hero of gospel music." According to Lawrence Ware of The Root, "Ultralight Beam" has become "the official song of Christians who love Jesus but curse a little." He believes this because of the track's callback to old gospel traditions. He also cites the lyric "This is a God dream", and Kirk Franklin's appearance as enhancing the song's gospel roots.
A phallus- shaped object made of agate was found inside a house. The ware of this phase was of medium-to-coarse fabric, made on slow wheel and treated with a thick slip showing crackles and turned light-brown, chocolate, red and pink in colour. It was mostly painted in ochre-red colour and only a few cases in black and white pigments. The burnished grey ware, the black burnished corrugated ware and the handmade thick coarse red ware with incised and applied decorations were the other ceramics found.
His work ranged from ornate Rococo pieces, such as clock cases, to plates with unsophisticated floral decoration. The Strasbourg technique spawned a number of imitations including the ware of Marseilles, Niderviller, Luneville, St. Clement, Sceaux, Aprey, Lodi in northern Italy and the majority of the smaller factories in France. A large collection of this faience is on display in the Musée des Arts décoratifs, Strasbourg. Haguenau's Musée historique and Gertwiller's Musée du pain d'épices also display valuable Hannong faience, as does the Castle "Favorite" on the other side of the Rhine.
In an old Muslim graveyard near Ramkund, the fragments of 8th and 9th major rock edicts of Asoka were found. These rock edicts can be viewed in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai. The site was re-excavated by M.M.Qureshi of the Archaeological Survey of India in 1939-40, when several stone lintels and two small stupas were found on the south side of the main stupa in addition to a few sherds of plain glazed ware of the Muslim period. Anwar Munshi (1972) found a number of Satavahana lead coins at Sopara.
The Centuripe ware of Sicily, which has been called "the last gasp of Greek vase painting", had fully coloured tempera painting including groups of figures applied after firing, contrary to the traditional practice. The fragility of the pigments prevented frequent use of these vases; they were reserved for use in funerals, and many were purely for display, for example with lids that did not lift off. Oribe Black (Oribe-guro), early Edo period, c. 1620 Cornered bowl, Mino ware, Oribe type, early Edo period, 1600s Oribe ware (also known as 織部焼 Oribe-yaki) is a style of Japanese pottery that first appeared in the sixteenth century. It is a type of Japanese stoneware recognized by its freely-applied glaze as well as its dramatic visual departure from the more somber, monochrome shapes and vessels common in Raku ware of the time. The ceramics were often asymmetrical, embracing the eccentricity of randomized shapes.
One important ware of note however is pearlware, of which there was an increase around 1779. Pearlware is distinct from creamware in having a blue- tinged glaze produced by the use of cobalt and a body somewhat modified to produce a ware that was slightly greyish in appearance. Pearlware was developed in order to meet demand for substitutes for Chinese porcelain amongst the growing middle classes of the time. By around 1808 a fully whitened version of creamware (known as White Ware) was introduced to meet changing market demand.

Wentworth-Sheilds Peter, Johnson Kay: Clarice Cliff, L'Odeon publishing 1976/1981 At the age of 13, Cliff started working in the pottery industry. Her first work was as a gilder, adding gold lines on ware of traditional design. Once she had mastered this she changed jobs to learn freehand painting at another potbank,A Staffordshire term for a pottery factory, probably because they had a 'bank' of clay for making the 'pots' at the same time studying art and sculpture at the Burslem School of Art in the evenings.
She excavated and studied the Upper Paleolithic Grotta del Genovese on Levanzo in the Egadi Islands and Grotta dell'Addaura near Palermo (published in 1953). She was entrusted with the chair of prehistory at the University of Palermo, and she took charge of the restoration of the temple of Segesta. She planned and realized the anastylosis of Temple E in Selinunte. In 1963 she published the first paper on the late Neolithic to early Bronze Age Bell Beaker ware of Sicily, "Sulla diffusione del vaso campaniforme in Sicilia" (Kokalos 9, pp. 93–128).
This ornamental vocabulary was expressed in the North less in such frescoes and more in tapestry and illuminated manuscript borders. In France, Saint-Porchaire ware of Mannerist forms and decor was produced in limited quantities for a restricted fashion-conscious clientele from the 1520s to the 1540s, while the crowded, disconcertingly lifelike compositions of snakes and toads characterize the Mannerist painted earthenware platters of Bernard Palissy. Like the Jamnitzers on occasion,Trevor-Roper, picture p. 88 Palissy made moulds from real small creatures and plants to apply to his creations.
On September 21, 1881 Ivan Kolchev Kalpazanov met the young Vasil Nikolov Karagiosov and asked him to find a company for textile machines in Germany, because he was informed that German machines ware of the best technical quality. Vasil Nikolov Karagiosov sent a letter signed “To the most famous and celebrated textile company in Germany”. Accurate German post clerks sent the letter to the town of Chemniz, the factory of Richard Hartman. Ivan Kolchev Kalpazanov realized he could not build the factory all alone because that was an expensive investment.

The determination of the age of Sangkhalok ware from evidence found from the Sangkhalok ware with a green ceramic ware of China in the Yuan Dynasty vessel that sank beneath the gulf of Thailand with the title Rang Kwian. Set its origin of the early 19th century and compare chinaware and pottery of Chinese Ming Dynasty found in the Philippines. The Sangkhalok ware set to last between 18th-19th centuries, the production of Sangkhalok ware from the Sukhothai period. But has been promoting the product and expanding mass production in the Ayutthaya kingdom period.
Blue-and-white Covered Jar with Fretwork Floral Design in Red and Blue Glaze, excavated in Baoding. In Chinese ceramics the period was one of expansion, with the great innovation the development in Jingdezhen ware of underglaze painted blue and white pottery. This seems to have begun in the early decades of the 14th century, and by the end of the dynasty was mature and well-established. Other major types of wares continued without a sharp break in their development, but there was a general trend to some larger size pieces, and more decoration.
The Ivinson Mansion, now the Laramie Plains Museum, was built in 1892 in Laramie, Wyoming by Jane and Edward Ivinson. Designed by architect Walter E. Ware of Salt Lake City and built by local contractor Frank Cook, the house was regarded as the most significant residence in Laramie at its completion. Edward Ivinson gave the mansion to the Episcopal Church, which used it as a boarding school until 1958. After years of neglect, the house was acquired by the Laramie Plains Museum Association in 1972 and is used as a museum and events center.
Wood, representing the Country Party, won the seat of Logan at the 1966 Queensland state election, defeating his main opponent, William Ware of the Labor Party. He represented the electorate for three years before his defeat in 1969. He was a Councilor on the Redland Shire Council from 1958 and Chairman of the shire for seven consecutive terms. His grandfather, Western Wood was a member of the Queensland Legislative Council in the 1860s and his great-grandfather, also named Western Wood was a member of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom.
The company was set up by Charles Ware of the Morris Minor Centre in Bath, UK and Sri Lankan diplomat and businessman Dhanapala Samarasekara. The motivations for its establishment were on the one hand the desire to conserve Morris Minors as classic cars and a sustainable means of transport, and on the other to create employment in Sri Lanka. In the period after the Morris Minor was launched in 1948, the vast majority were exported, in particularly throughout the British Empire. Production ceased in 1970, but it is estimated that at least 4,000 of them are still on the road in Sri Lanka.
Charlotte E. Ray was admitted to Howard's law program in 1869 and graduated in 1872, becoming its first black female lawyer. It is reported that Ray applied for admission to the bar using initials for her given and middle names, in order to disguise her gender, because she was "[a]ware of the school's reluctant commitment to the principle of sexual equality." Mary Ann Shadd Cary was among four women enrolled in the law school in 1880. She said in 1890 that she had actually been admitted to Howard's law program in September 1869, prior to Ray.
Stylistically, the album eschews Flying Lotus' hip hop roots for jazz influences, including free form jazz tonality and undertones, and jazz-based time signatures and patterns. Gabrielle Ahern of CMJ calls it "a moody, electronic version of experimental jazz." Jonny Ensall of Time Out views the album as "a digital jazz record which pushes hip hop beats and R&B; melodies into bold, new syncopated and atonal territory." Tony Ware of Electronic Musician attributes "certain chord choices and the interest in astral mystical states that permeates Until the Quiet Comes" to Flying Lotus' "family lineage" of jazz musicians.
Martyn Ware of Heaven 17 paired with D'Arby in production of the song, which was released on CBS Records. Once released, "Wishing Well", along with D'Arby's debut single "If You Let Me Stay", went into "heavy rotation" on MTV. D'Arby performed the song live at the 30th Annual Grammy Awards, where he lost the Grammy Award for Best New Artist to Jody Watley. When the single reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, it had charted for 17 weeks, which made it the slowest song to reach number one since Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" in 1983.
By the High Middle Ages the Hispano-Moresque ware of Al-Andaluz was the most sophisticated pottery being produced in Europe, with elaborate decoration. It introduced tin-glazing to Europe, which was developed in the Italian Renaissance in maiolica. Tin-glazed pottery was taken up in the Netherlands from the 16th to the 18th centuries, the potters making household, decorative pieces and tiles in vast numbers,Caiger-Smith, Alan, Tin Glazed Pottery, Faber and Faber, 1973 usually with blue painting on a white ground. Dutch potters took tin-glazed pottery to the British Isles, where it was made between about 1550 and 1800.

John Philip Elers (7 September 1664 – 1738) and his brother David Elers were Dutch silversmiths who came to England in the 1680s and turned into potters. The Elers brothers were important innovators in English pottery, bringing redware or unglazed stoneware to Staffordshire pottery.V&A; MET Arguably they were the first producers of "fine pottery" in North Staffordshire, and although their own operations were not financially successful, they seem to have had a considerable influence on the following generation, who led the explosive growth of the industry in the 18th century.
Atagozuka-kofun existed as a grave in the late 6th century and hosted additional burials. After that it also existed as a sacred place for some 200 years. The tomb was reused after the Heian period as shown by the excavation of two pieces of sueki (unglazed ware) of the early Heian period and also of black pottery, unglazed pottery, Hagi plates and hagama (kama with wing) of the middle and later Heian and Kamakura periods. An excavated five-ring pagoda and human bones of the Muromachi period show that this ancient tomb was used for additional burials in the medieval period.
Later archaeological excavations confirmed his proposition. Ye published more than 100 research papers and over 10 monographs. His History of Chinese Pottery and Porcelain (中国陶瓷史, ), originally published in 2006, provides an extensive history of Chinese ceramics with perspectives from archaeology. His other books include A General Overview of the History of Chinese Calligraphy (中国书法史通论), A General Overview of the Pottery and Porcelain of the Sui, Tang, Song, and Yuan Dynasties (隋唐宋元陶瓷通论), Cizhou Ware of China (中国磁州窑, 2009).
Kitamura’s ceramic works are made of stoneware and white slip, often decorated with intricate, dizzying patterns. The wheel- thrown pieces are sometimes adorned with white dots, which create a shifting pattern against the background, heighted by their subtle texture. Although the tiny decorations appears obsessive, Kitamura’s work is inspired by the ancient 15th century Korean tradition of buncheong ware of slip-inlay. Her designs are punched into the surface by hand with bamboo, then inlaid with a white slip. Punch’ong, or otherwise known as buncheong ware could be either inlaid or stamped to create well defined patterns, or incised for a more freehand, inventive style.
According to the District Census Handbook, South 24 Parganas Deulpota on the bank of river Hooghly is an important archaeological site. “Excavations in this place have been initiated back in 1963-64, 1964-65 and 1972-73 and variety of artefacts from Gupta ages and early medieval period have been found. The items include fine terracotta pottery, jewellery made of precious and semiprecious stones, silver and copper coins, female figurines including famed Yakshini idol, Gajalakshmi Plaque, burnt polished and unpolished earthen ware, ceramic pottery etc.” According to Sharmi Chakraborty, Centre for archaeological Studies and Training, Eastern India, pottery including rouletted ware of the Sunga Kushana period have been found.
After prototyping phases in 2004 and 2005, convergence with the LHC Computing Grid (LCG-2) distribution was reached in May 2006, when gLite 3.0 was released, and became the official middle-ware of the Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) project which ended in 2010. Development of the gLite middle-ware was then taken over by the European Middleware Initiative, and is now maintained as part of the EMI software stack. The distributed computing infrastructure built by EGEE is now supported by the European Grid Infrastructure. It runs the Grid middle-ware produced by the "European Middleware Initiative", many components of which came from the gLite middle-ware.
The type of earlier pottery, in quoting James L. Murphy, "cannot be distinguished from the late Middle Woodland Watson Ware of the upper Ohio Valley nor from the Late Woodland Peters Cordmarked Ware from the Scioto and Hocking Valley drainages". Murphy, in 1968, explained the dominance at the site of smooth-surfaced shell-tempered sherds has an even more striking similarity between the Hobson Site and the components in the Hocking Valley of the Fort Ancient Tradition. The archaeologist found 791 plain, shell tempered body sherds. Ten fragments of pottery were found having thick strap handles and two lug handles, with punctate and incised decoration.

It is best known for its creamware, which is often called Leedsware;Hartley Greens it was the "most important rival" in this highly popular ware of Wedgwood, who had invented the improved version used from the 1760s on.Hughes, 45 Many pieces include openwork, made either by piercing solid parts, or "basketwork", weaving thin strips of clay together. Several other types of ware were produced, mostly earthenware but with some stoneware.

In the film Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), Louis Mazzini takes a small set at Albany as he moves up the social ladder. In the James Bond novel Moonraker by Ian Fleming (1955), Max Meyer, the bridge partner of Sir Hugo Drax, was said to live in Albany. In the Major Harry Maxim novels by Gavin Lyall, George Harbinger, Harry's boss, who first appears in The Secret Servant (1980), has an apartment at Albany where he lives with his spouse, Annette.
In February 1896 the Municipal Building Commission of New York City awarded first prize to Thomas, out of over 130 designs submitted to them from all over the world for a new municipal building, involving an outlay of $25,000,000. The prize included his employment as architect for the building. The terms of the competition were made purposely attractive in order to attract the best architectural talent, and were prepared by a body of experts composed of Richard M. Hunt, William R. Ware of Columbia College, and Edward H. Kendall. The state legislature subsequently forbade the city authorities to remove the old city hall, thus preventing the erection of the contemplated building.

Carl Eugen Guthe ( June 1, 1893 – July 24, 1974) was an American academic and anthropologist, son of Karl Eugen Guthe, Professor of Physics and Dean of the Graduate Department of the University of Michigan, and Clara Belle née Ware of Grand Rapids, Mich. Guthe married Grace Ethel (née McDonald) in Wayne, MI and they had three sons: Karl Frederick, Alfred Kidder, and James. Karl Frederick Guthe (1919–1994) was professor emeritus of biological sciences at the University of Michigan. Alfred Kidder Guthe (1920–1983) specialised in the archaeology of the US eastern seaboard, and became director of the Frank H. McClung museum at U Tennessee.
This is the descendant of the imported Mycenaean Ware of the past period, which is known also as Mycenaean IIIC1b. This new style of pottery is made locally. Neutron analysis proves that it could have even been made in the same workshop. It began at approximately the 12th century BC and began to disappear towards the end of the 11th century BC. The style is slightly influenced by Egypt but mostly by Canaanite. The Mycenaean tradition holds a firm grasp over the shape of the pottery (for example “stirrup jars”), whereas bottles are found to share Cypriot styles (seen by tall and narrow necks).
Ceramic analysis at Cahuachi supports Silverman's assertion that Cahuachi was a non-urban ceremonial center because there is a predominance of fine ware rather than plain ware at the site, on the rate of 70% to 30%, which, if you think about it, would be unquestionably reversed if Cahuachi were a permanently inhabited urban area. The majority of plain ware that was found at the site were mainly those used for small-scale storage and burials, then those used for food service. Fine ware, of ritual significance, was decorated and was used for burials and also included technologically complex panpipes, which is a form of craft specialization. Family-sized cooking pots are rare at the site.
In July 1984, Clarke teamed up with Stephen Luscombe of Blancmange, Pandit Dinesh, and Asha Bhosle. The group, West India Company, released a four-track, self-titled EP. Clarke worked with synthpop producer Martyn Ware (of Heaven 17 and The Human League) in 1999 as The Clarke & Ware Experiment and released the album Pretentious. The duo collaborated again in 2001 for the album Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle, which was created with "3D music technology" specifically designed for listening in headphones. That same year also saw the release of the Clarke-produced album Erasure's Vince Clarke, which featured The Peter Pan Effect, an album that he and Eric Radcliffe produced for his long-time friend Robert Marlow.
The Bell Beaker domestic ware of Southern Germany is not as closely related to the Corded Ware as would be indicated by their burial rites. Settlements link the Southern German Bell Beaker culture to the seven regional provinces of the Eastern Group, represented by many settlement traces, especially from Moravia and the Hungarian Bell Beaker-Csepel group being the most important. In 2002, one of the largest Bell Beaker cemeteries in Central Europe was discovered at Hoštice za Hanou (Moravia, Czech Republic).Anthropology of skeletal remains of Bell – Beaker people from Moravia (Czech Republic) The relationship to the western Bell Beakers groups, and the contemporary cultures of the Carpathian basin to the south east, is much less.
Vizard stated that Flight Unlimiteds "very advanced computational fluid dynamics make [each] plane react according to spec". Buchanan lauded the fluid model for creating a "sensation of actual flight [that] is nothing short of magnificent", while PC Magazines staff commented that it makes "planes behave more like real aircraft than any simulator we have seen". Bob and John Nolan called the game's physics programming "groundbreaking", and Chris Ware of the Lexington Herald-Leader found the game to be the most accurate simulation of flight beyond "those multimillion-dollar flight simulators [used by] fighter pilots and astronauts". Noack agreed: he wrote that the game "is about as close to flying within going to the airport".
In November 2008 Shuttleworth began his Minor Tour – and other Mythological Creatures tour. In October 2010 Shuttleworth began a five-month A Man With No More Rolls tour, claiming that it was a misprint and should have been called A Man With No Morals. In Spring 2015 it was announced that Shuttleworth was to appear in a one-night concert John Shuttleworth & Friends, on 28 June 2015, at the London Palladium. The concert, celebrating 30 years of the character, and in aid of multiple sclerosis charities, would include appearances by Chas & Dave, Toyah, Martyn Ware of Heaven 17, John Otway, Leee John of Imagination, Gordon Giltrap, Jon McClure of Reverend and The Makers and Sooty and Sweep.

Although all the six fabrics survive in the ware, it lacks in variety in shapes and designs and is generally sturdier and better plotted than the Kalibangan I ware of the earlier phase. In accordance to this, Bhan separated non-Harappan sites on presence of a worn out medium thick red ware treated with red slip and painted with black bands, though he admits similar typology and firing with these and Siswal wear. Lastly the third and final group is characterized by the appearance of medium fabric made through a fast wheel and treated with a red slip in the case of vessels.

The Ware family farm in Rindge NH Although her mother remained in Boston, Mary Lee Ware clearly considered herself a New Hampshirite and apparently maintained the West Rindge family farm of her childhood. However, she is almost always called Miss Mary Lee Ware of Boston; very rarely is Rindge, NH mentioned. Reportedly (per the majority of sources) she was a seasonal resident of both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, spending the summers at the Ware Farm in Rindge while wintering in Boston with her mother. The Ware Farm was sold to Mary's father, Dr. Ware, by a Joseph Davis and Dorestos Armory for $3000 in 1868 – the place having 450 total acres, 21.5 dedicated to pasture land with another 56.5 for cultivation.

San Luis Rey I was distinguished from San Luis Rey II primarily by the appearance of pottery in the latter, an introduction that was estimated to have occurred as late as AD 1500 or even 1750. Subsequent studies have pushed the local presence of pottery back to at least AD 1000 and perhaps several centuries earlier, calling into question the validity of the phase distinction. A northern limit for the San Luis Rey Complex is defined by the scarcity or absence of prehistoric pottery among the Luiseño's Gabrielino and Serrano kinsmen. Archeologists are crucial to understanding the meaning of and use and timeline of material goods, when there are few written records on those goods such as in the case of colonoware. Colonoware was first identified by the British archaeologist Ivor Noël Hume, who published his findings in 1962, in a paper entitled "An Indian Ware of the Colonial Period" in the Quarterly Bulletin of the Archaeological Society of Virginia. He devoted to the discussion of this particular earthenware, and intended his paper to be a contribution to the "study of American Indian archaeology and culture". He referred to it as Colono-Indian Ware, believing that it had been developed by Native Americans, who then sold it for the use of African American slaves and European Americans.

The first Shelley to join the company was Joseph Ball Shelley in 1862 and in 1896 his son Percy Shelley became the sole proprietor, after which it remained a Shelley family business until 1966 when it was taken over by Allied English Potteries. Its china and earthenware products were many and varied although the major output was table ware. In the City of Atlanta, as the Civil War was drawing to a close, two literate African Americans, James Tate, who came to Atlanta from Elbert County, Georgia, in the 1860s and Grandison B. Daniels (who may have moved to Atlanta during this time from North Carolina), established the first school in Atlanta for African American children on the corner of Courtland and Jenkins Streets in a building owned by Bethel A.M.E.
