On Saturday 27 September 2014, a W-League Sydney Derby match between the Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC resulted in a record stand alone W-League regular season crowd of 3,084 to watch Sydney FC win the match 2–0. In the 2018 season of the FFA Cup the Western Sydney Wanderers were drawn to play an away game against Bonnyrigg White Eagles.

A Kirkcudbrightshire based league, this competition was formed in 1894–95 by St Cuthbert Wanderers, Barholm Rovers, 6th Galloway Rifle Volunteers, Vale of Fleet and Douglas Wanderers. The first season's competition was once again unfinished. In 1895–96 St Cuthbert Wanderers, Douglas Wanderers and Barholm Rovers were the sole entrants and finished in that order. The league's last season, 1896–97, saw Barholm Rovers replaced by the returning 6th Galloway Rifle Volunteers, who duly won the St Cuthbert's Cup.

On 19 March, Wanderers secured a 1–0 win over Kawasaki Frontale in the AFC Champions League, with a third-minute goal from Haliti. On 23 March, Wanderers defeated Perth Glory 3–0, with Polenz, Bridge and Jurić all finding the back of the net during the win. On 29 March, Wanderers lost 2–1 to Central Coast Mariners. Topor- Stanley's equalising goal looked to have secured Wanderers a point until the contest was decided on the 90th minute.
On 3 July 2015, Nichols signed a two-year deal with A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers. Nichols made his Wanderers debut against Brisbane Roar on 8 October 2015, scoring his debut goal for the club in the 13th minute of Wanderers' 3-1 defeat. On 11 May 2017, it was announced that Wanderers would not be renewing Nichols' contract. Despite Nichols admitting to drug possession, on 13 June 2017, Perth Glory signed him on a two-year deal.
James Parkinson made his League and Club debut, playing at full–back, on 15 September 1888 at Pike's Lane, then home of Bolton Wanderers. The opposition were Burnley and Bolton Wanderers lost the match 4–3. James Parkinson appeared in two of the 22 League games played by Bolton Wanderers in season 1888–89. James Parkinson, as goalkeeper, (one appearance) was part of a Bolton Wanderers defence that kept the opposition to one-League-goal-in-a-match once.
On 3 February 2014 he signed, along with Golgol Mebrahtu, with Western Sydney Wanderers. However, since there were no spaces remaining in the club's A-League squad, Mullen was only eligible to participate in Western Sydney Wanderers' 2014 AFC Champions League campaign during the 2013–14 season. George Samuel Eccles (1874 – 18 December 1945) was an English footballer who played at right-back in the Football League and Southern League for Burslem Port Vale, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Preston North End, West Ham United and Bolton Wanderers. He helped Bolton Wanderers to win promotion out of the Second Division in 1904–05.

When Lichtenhein took over the Wanderers, the team was in financial trouble. He had trouble icing a team, and on January 2, 1918, the Montreal Arena, home of Wanderers' and the rival Montreal Canadiens, burnt down; the Wanderers folded within days. The decision was influenced by Lichtenhein citing losses over $30,000 in 1918 money due to the fire. Lichtenhein was later quoted as stating that he lost over $150,000 in the last five years of owning the Royals and Wanderers.
Then, in 1937 Buckley Town A.F.C won the North Wales Amateur Cup. In 1949 Buckley Wanderers and Buckley Rovers were the only two teams playing competitive football in Buckley. Buckley Rovers struggled in the lower division of the Welsh Leagues, while Buckley Wanderers joined the Welsh National League Division One. In their first season, Buckley Wanderers finished runners-up behind Chirk AAA, and again in the 1953–54 season finished runners-up to Overton St Mary's. Then in the 1955–56 season Buckley Wanderers scored over one hundred goals to clinch the League title. During the 1960–61 season Buckley Rovers joined Buckley Wanderers in the Welsh Football League First Division.
Reports went round of Wanderers trying to avoid relegation by pushing for an increase in the number of teams but lightning could not strike twice as the behind-the-scene manoeuvres came to nought and Wanderers found themselves playing Division I football the following season. This was the first time Wanderers had ever been relegated. In 2004, Wanderers finished 2nd in Division I (North) and won promotion back to the top league but sponsorship and administration problems persisted and they made a swift return to the second tier. Wanderers continued to struggle in Division I (North) under reduced funding from Mopani Copper Mines and regularly fallen short of the promotion places.
After the season, the Montreal Victorias travelled to New York city, to play against Brooklyn Crescents and the New York Wanderers. The Victorias tied Brooklyn 8–8 and lost to the Wanderers 6–4.

In the second edition of the FA Cup, the rules granted automatic qualification to the final for the holders, Wanderers, on a challenge basis similar to that employed in boxing. The final was played on 29 March 1873 at Lillie Bridge, a ground which Wanderers sometimes used as their home venue. Wanderers retained the trophy with a 2–0 victory over Oxford University. The challenge rule was scrapped after this match so that, in 1874, Wanderers began their defence in the first round with all other entrants.
On 1 April, Wanderers fell short away from home 2–1 against Kawasaki Frontale in their fourth AFC Champions League match, with Haliti scoring Wanderers only goal. On 5 April, Wanderers and Brisbane Roar shared the points in a 1–1 draw, with Jurić finding the back of the net. On January 24, Fred Taylor played for Ottawa against the Wanderers, despite his rights being held by the Wanderers, for which he refused to play for. Ottawa would win the game, but it was protested and ordered replayed if necessary. This was Mr. Taylor's final game in the NHA, as he would join Vancouver the next year. On February 9, Skene Ronan would score five goals in a game against the Wanderers and follow up with eight goals in a game against the Wanderers on February 14.
O'Grady played three seasons as a substitute for the Montreal Wanderers in the now-defunct NHA from 1913–14 to 1915–16. He would follow the team to the upstart National Hockey League for the start of the inaugural season in 1917–18. O'Grady appeared in four National Hockey League games for the Wanderers, as the team's rink, the Westmount Arena, burnt down in January 1918, forcing the Wanderers to fold midway through the season. Matías Ignacio Fernández Cordero (born 14 August 1995) is a Chilean footballer that currently plays for the Primera B de Chile club Santiago Wanderers as midfielder. He joined to Wanderers’ youth ranks when he was 11.
On 25 February 2020, Morelli signed with Canadian Premier League side HFX Wanderers. He made his debut for the Wanderers on August 15 against Pacific FC, and converted a penalty in an eventual 2-2 draw.

When Robinson played at full–back on 20 October 1888 against Aston Villa he was approximately 27 years 158 days old; which made him, on the seventh weekend of League football, Bolton Wanderers' oldest player. Robinson played in 16 of the 22 League games played by Bolton Wanderers in season 1888–89.

For their final fixtures neither team had it easy as AmaZulu had to travel to face Ajax Cape Town while Wanderers had to host runners-up Orlando Pirates. In a thrilling result African Wanderers managed to put four goals past Pirates in a magnificent 4-3 win while AmaZulu suffered an agonising 2-1 defeat, putting both teams level on goal difference but moving Wanderers onto 39 points, three ahead of AmaZulu and into safety.
Nicholas Anderson (1865 – unknown) was an English professional footballer, who appeared for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the inaugural season of the Football League. Nicholas Anderson made his League and club debut on 8 September 1888, as a forward for Wolverhampton Wanderers in a 1–1 draw against Aston Villa at Dudley Road, the then home of Wolverhampton Wanderers He only played two of the "Wolves" 22 Football League matches in season 1888–89. (registration & fee required) Nicholas Anderson had failed to make an impact at Dudley Road and left Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 1889.
By now, Birley was had joined the Wanderers side, making his first appearance for them on 21 October 1873. In 1875 he was one of several Wanderers players selected to meet Scotland at Kennington Oval on 6 March. This match ended 2–2, with England's goals coming from Birley's Wanderers teammates, Charles Wollaston and Charles Alcock. In 1875–76, he was a member of the Wanderers team that reached the FA Cup Final for the third time in its five-year history, scoring in the semi-final against Swifts.

The exact details of the formation of Wycombe Wanderers F.C. have largely been lost to history. A group of young furniture trade workers started a team to play matches which led to a meeting, held at the Steam Engine public house in Station Road, High Wycombe in 1887 which saw the formation of Wycombe Wanderers F.C. In January 2013 Greguš joined English Championship club Bolton Wanderers on loan with Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman stating he would initially be part of the club's development squad. He scored on his development squad debut against Manchester City in a 3–3 draw. After one year at Bolton Wanderers during which he mostly played for the development squad Greguš returned to Baník Ostrava. Greguš moved to Jablonec mid-season during the 2014–15 campaign.
Walter Wilbert Swanson Bunch (15 August 1872 – 1937) was an English professional footballer who made 70 appearances in the Football League playing for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Walsall and Small Heath. Bunch was born in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. A full back, he entered league football when he joined First Division side Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 1895. He made his Football League debut on 4 January 1896 in a 4–0 defeat at Bolton Wanderers.
Mortimer joined Barrow in 1926, after playing for non-league clubs Connah's Quay & Shotton and Darwen and a non-playing spell with Bolton Wanderers. After making 24 appearances and scoring 10 goals in the league for Barrow, he rejoined Bolton Wanderers in 1928. He again made no league appearances for Wanderers before joining Northampton Town in 1931. He joined Brentford in 1933 after making 62 appearances and scoring 22 goals in the league for Northampton.
In 1906, he returned to Montreal, and he played for the Montreal Montagnards in 1907, joining the Wanderers after the Montagnards disbanded. The Wanderers won the ECAHA title that season and successfully defended their Stanley Cup championship of 1906 in challenges. However, Marshall did not stay with the club beyond that season. He moved to the Montreal Shamrocks and played two seasons for the Shamrocks before returning to the Wanderers for the 1910 NHA season.
In 2010, Wanderers went out of existence for a third time. They were reformed in 2013 and entered the Leinster Senior League's sixth tier. On 17 May 2015, Wanderers lifted their first FAI Junior Cup, beating Sheriff YC 2–1 in extra-time at the Aviva Stadium. In what was their first ever appearance in the Cup's final stage, Lee O'Connor and Stephen O'Callaghan both scored to bring the trophy Wanderers' way.
He therefore quit Wanderers and joined lower division side Kafironda FC as he was able to train with the team after work. Kashimoto was however enticed into coming back to play for Wanderers where he was appointed Assistant player-coach. He turned back the years to help Wanderers win the 1991 Heroes & Unity Cup and the Champion of Champions trophy in 1992. The following year, he quit playing after the Gabon air disaster.

Wanderers team that took to the field against Royal Engineers in May 2010 In 2009, over 120 years after the last known Wanderers match, a "reformed" Wanderers club was founded in London, reportedly with the approval of descendants of those involved with the original club, with the intention to play occasional matches for charity. In 2011 the club joined the Surrey South Eastern Combination. On 7 November 2012, the team played the Royal Engineers at The Oval in a rematch of the 1872 FA Cup Final, 140 years after the original event. Wanderers gained promotion from the Combination's Junior Division 4 in 2013, after finishing as runners-up.
Substitute Šantalab appeared to have given Wanderers the three points with a goal only minutes after coming on until a 94th-minute goal from Melbourne Victory. On 1 January 2014, Wanderers lost their first match of the new year against Wellington Phoenix with a 1–3 score. A 62nd-minute goal from Bridge was not enough to secure the home win for Wanderers with Wellington Phoenix scoring three goals late into the game. On 11 January, Wanderers won the second Sydney Derby 1–0 in front of the biggest crowd of the season at Pirtek Stadium after a goal from substitute Šantalab on the 86th minute of the match.
In November 1909, the Eastern Canada Hockey Association (ECHA), holder of the Stanley Cup and ostensibly the pre-eminent ice hockey league, was in the midst of a dispute. The Montreal Wanderers team of the ECHA had been bought by P. J. Doran, owner of the Jubilee Rink in Montreal and he intended to move the team's games there. The Jubilee was smaller than the Wanderers' current rink, the Montreal Arena which meant visiting teams would earn less on their trips to play the Wanderers. On November 25, 1909, the other teams in the league disbanded the ECHA and formed the new Canadian Hockey Association (CHA), which excluded the Wanderers.
On 3 February 2014, Mebrahtu signed with the Western Sydney Wanderers along with Daniel Mullen. However, since there were no spaces remaining in the club's A-League squad, he was only eligible to participate in the Western Sydney Wanderers' 2014 AFC Champions League campaign during the 2013–14 season. On 5 March 2014, following a long-term injury to Tahj Minniecon, Mebrahtu was added to Western Sydney Wanderers' A-League squad. Mebrahtu made his debut for the Wanderers against Sydney FC as a substitute in the 71st minute, but was replaced 6 minutes later when injured in a tackle by Sydney FC midfielder Richard Garcia.
Wollaston played for Wanderers in the inaugural FA Cup Final in 1872 and scored in the second half of the 1873 final. In all he won five winner's medals, the first player to achieve this feat. Arthur Kinnaird, James Forrest and Patrick Vieira are the only other players with five FA Cup winning medals, and all of them are only bettered by Ashley Cole, who has won the FA Cup six times, beating the record in 2010. In Wanderers' 1874 FA Cup first round match against Farningham, Wollaston scored four goals in a 16–0 victory for Wanderers; the match was Wanderers biggest ever win.
During the 1876–77 season, Hughes only made three reported appearances for Wanderers, all in the FA Cup. In the Cup Final Wanderers were again victorious, defeating Oxford University 2–1, with goals from William Lindsay and Jarvis Kenrick, with Arthur Kinnaird conceding an own goal for Oxford University. Hughes teaching career prevented him from appearing for Wanderers over the next two seasons, but he returned in 1880–81 to make five appearances with two goals, both in the opening match of the season against Old Harrovians on 2 October 1880. By now Wanderers were in decline and Hughes played in their penultimate match against Harrow School in December 1882.

The Senators and the Wanderers then played a two-game playoff for the league championship and the Stanley Cup, and the Wanderers won 9–1,3–9 (12–10) on goals.

At the time, two trains were available for the trip, and the two would race, with betting taking place on the winner.
Romeo Castelen scored an equaliser then put the Wanderers 4–3 in front, only for Brisbane to score again to take the game to extra time. In the 102nd minute substitute Dario Vidosic scored the decisive goal to send Wanderers to a third Grand Final in four years. In the 2016 A-League Grand Final Adelaide United defeat Wanderers 3–1 in front of a crowd of 50,119. 15 players left the club at the end of the season.

Cashmere Wanderers is a New Zealand association football club based in Christchurch. The club was formed in 1951 as Atlantis AFC, named for its origins among emigrants to New Zealand aboard the Shaw Savill Line ship Atlantis, which arrived in Lyttelton in 1950. The club's initial colours of gold with black trim were chosen to match the colours of Shaw Savill, and the club gained the nickname of "Wanderers" due to the similarity of these colours to the English team Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.. In 1961, the club changed its name to Christchurch Wanderers to reflect this nickname, and also to reflect the fact that the remaining links with the Atlantis and with Shaw Savill were by now tenuous. A further name change to the current name of Cashmere Wanderers, reflecting the club's location in the Christchurch suburb of Cashmere came about in 1967.

The rivalry between Big Bullets and BE FORWARD wanderers starts to kick off every time both clubs meet in 2006–07 both clubs met wanderers went ahead in the first half. Deep second half Bullets scored a goal but it was offside. The Bullets fans went angry started throwing things on to the pitch and the ref in charge abandoned the game, Wanderers had won that match 3–0 because of disqualification. The two teams have met domestic in cup finals few times since the early 1990s, most notably the 1999 Malawi Carlsberg Cup final. The Castaway Wanderers RFC is a Canadian rugby club based in Oak Bay, British Columbia. The Oak Bay Wanderers rugby club was founded in 1906 and merged with the Castaways rugby club in the 1990s. The modern version of the club has won multiple provincial titles in the B.C. Rugby Union.

Denton was a member of the Bradfield College football XI from 1869 to 1872, being captain in his final year. In turn, Montevideo Wanderers, Charley and Lito participated in both tournaments with two different teams. Lito were dubbed "round" in the AUF and Lito "square" in the FUF, differing by the shield they carried on a Barca shirt. At a Wycombe Wanderers supporters' forum, CEO and minority shareholder of Wycombe Wanderers, and owner of London Wasps Steve Hayes announced plans to build a new stadium in the High Wycombe area, with a capacity of 17,000 – 20,000 and being the first UK stadium in modern times to have terracing. The new stadium would be jointly owned by WWFC, London Wasps and Wycombe District Council. The plans included retail outlets, a hotel and conference facilities. Steve Hayes would later become 100% owner of Wycombe Wanderers in 2008.
The team would record their first NHL win a week later on the December 26 on the road against the Montreal Wanderers. The Senators would then record their first ever NHL home win three days later against the same Wanderers. The Wanderers withdrew from the league six games into the season due to a fire burning down their arena, so that left the NHL with three teams, the Senators, Canadiens and the Torontos. Ottawa picked up Dave Ritchie and Harry Hyland in the dispersal of players.
Wanderers were formed in 1885 as a breakaway from Dundee Our Boys (which eight years later merged with Dundee East End to form Dundee F.C.). In 1894 Wanderers merged with another city club, Strathmore, to form Dundonians, in order to apply for membership of the Scottish Football League. They were successful, but as Dundee F.C. had objected to their name, Dundonians became Dundee Wanderers in June 1894. They spent the 1894–95 season as members of the Second Division, finishing ninth out of ten.

Khamis made her professional debut for Sydney FC during the 2011–12 W-League season. Sydney won the 2012–13 W-League Championship. Khamis signed with the Western Sydney Wanderers for the 2014–15 season. After one season with the Wanderers, she returned to Sydney FC where she would remain for three seasons.

Ernest James Liffiton (January 25, 1885 – January 23, 1949) an early professional ice hockey player. Over the span of his career he played for Pittsburgh Bankers, Pittsburgh Professionals, Renfrew Creamery Kings, Montreal Wanderers, Halifax Crescents and the Toronto Tecumsehs. In 1908 he played on the Montreal Wanderers team that won the Stanley Cup.
George William Showell (9 February 1934 – 18 December 2012) was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bristol City and Wrexham. He spent the majority of his playing career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, featuring in two league championship- winning seasons and in the 1960 FA Cup Final.
In March 2019, Wycombe Wanderers announced they had added Frempah to their squad on non-contract terms for the remainder of the season. After being released from Wycombe Wanderers at the end of the season, Frempah returned to non-league football and joined Wingate & Finchley. He joined Ebbsfleet United in August 2020.

Arthur Lowder (11 February 1863 – 4 January 1926) was an English international footballer of the 1880s and 1890s who played as a left half with Wolverhampton Wanderers. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) in 1882 from St Luke's. As a player he was an extremely hard but fair tackler, preferring the left–half berth although occasionally figuring in the forward line. He appeared in Wolverhampton Wanderers first–ever FA Cup tie in 1883. He wasn't a tall man, standing 5 ft 5ins tall, yet he loved a challenge and never gave an inch. Arthur Lowder, playing as a wing–half, made his League debut on 8 September 1888, at Dudley Road, the then home of Wolverhampton Wanderers . The visitors were Aston Villa and the match ended as a 1–1 draw. Arthur Lowder scored his debut and only League goal on 26 January 1889 at Dudley Road, against Everton. Wolverhampton Wanderers won the match 5-0 and Arthur Lowder scored the opening goal.

As football was predominantly amateur in those days, they also found him a job in the railway carriage shops of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company, from where the club had originated. In July 1888, he briefly moved to Bolton Wanderers. John Mitchell made his League and Club debut on 8 September 1888, playing at full- back, at Pike's Lane, then home of Bolton Wanderers. The opposition were Derby County and Bolton Wanderers lost the match 6–3. When John Mitchell played at full-back on 15 September 1888 against Burnley he was approximately 27 years 123 days old; that made him, on that second weekend of League football, Bolton Wanderers' oldest player. John Mitchell lost the title of oldest player to Bethel Robinson on 22 September 1888 as Robinson played and John Mitchell did not. John Mitchell only played two of the 22 League games played by Bolton Wanderers in season 1888–89.
Steve Hayes, who owned both Wycombe Wanderers F.C. and London Wasps R.U.F.C. at the time, announced his intentions to build a new stadium for both clubs on the site of Wycombe Air Park in Booker, 2½ miles away from Adams Park. His plans encountered large-scale opposition from community groups and Wycombe Wanderers supporters, with concerns ranging from the loss of aeronautical activity at the air park to inappropriate green belt development. There were also objections by many Wycombe Wanderers supporters and Wycombe Wanderers Supporters' Trust who believed the club would not receive the proceeds of the sale of Adams Park (which it owned 100%), but that these would go to Steve Hayes to help finance a 20,000-capacity stadium in conjunction with Wycombe District Council that would then be rented to Wycombe Wanderers. The plans were abandoned in July 2011 when Wycombe District Council decided to end its support of the project in the face of increased scepticism about the viability of the project.

Season 2016/17 of the A-League season began when Western Sydney Wanderers played home to Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium, with Sydney FC winning 4–0. This game would also be Wanderers Captain Nikolai Topor-Stanley's last game for the Wanderers before he moved to Hatta Club of the United Arab Emirates. After three years without a derby win, on the 18th of February, Western Sydney Wanderers, beat Sydney FC 1–0 at ANZ Stadium, Brendon Santalab scoring off a Mitch Nichols cross in the first-half. Three days after the Sydney Derby they started their Asian Champions League campaign by losing 4–0 to Urawa Reds, and subsequent results saw them fail to qualify from the Group Stage.

Heath scored from their first attack, after which Wanderers adopted physical tactics, Small Heath joined in, and the quality of the game deteriorated.

To decide the ECAHA championship and the Stanley Cup, the Senators played a two-game total goals series against the Wanderers in March 1906 and lost. The 1906 hockey season ended with the Wanderers as the Stanley Cup champions. The Hockey Hall of Fame recognizes both Ottawa and the Wanderers as champions for that year, as does the NHL. In January 1910, Ottawa defeated Galt, champions of the OPHL, during the CHA regular season, as well as Edmonton of the AAHA during the NHA regular season (the Senators switched leagues in-between).
Kevin began his playing career with his local side Sliema Wanderers of the Maltese Premier League. In his first season, he made a single appearance as Sliema Wanderers recorded a third-place finish in the Premier League. The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers is a nonprofit agency in Waterville, Maine that provides education, counseling, adoption, day care, and early childhood education services for pregnant teens and teen parents. Founded as an orphanage in 1899 and incorporated as the Maine Children's Home Society in 1901, it began dealing solely with adoptions in 1915. It merged with the Maine branch of The Home for Little Wanderers of Massachusetts in 1962, creating the Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers. In 1973 it introduced an "alternative" high school program for pregnant teens and teen parents.
The stadium was host for the local Macarthur Football Association Premier League finals in September 2012. Western Sydney Wanderers FC defeated Newcastle Jets FC 2–1 in a 2012–13 season Regional Round match at the venue. The game was attended by 10,589 fans. The Wanderers would return to the stadium against the same opposition in the 2016–17 season during the redevelopment of Parramatta Stadium. In 2016, Western Sydney Wanderers FC announced that the club would be playing all their 2017 AFC Champions League games at Campbelltown Stadium.
Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club is a sporting club based in the Samnan suburb of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. A members-only club long popular with the Western expatriate community in Sharjah, it is the centre for a range of sporting and community events including rugby, cricket, football and swimming. Sharjah Wanderers also has a golf club. Wanderers takes its name from one of the two football teams which originated with the RAF and Trucial Oman Scouts (TOS) playing at RAF Sharjah in the 1960s, the other being the Canaries.
Wanderers Football Club is an English football club based in Upper Norwood, London. The original club was an amateur one founded as "Forest Football Club" in 1859. In 1864, it changed its name to "Wanderers". Comprising mainly former pupils of the leading English public schools, Wanderers was among the dominant teams of the early years of organised football and won the Football Association Challenge Cup (known in the modern era as the FA Cup) on five occasions, including defeating Royal Engineers in the first FA Cup final in 1872.
Two teams represented Calgary in the Big-4: The Columbus and the Wanderers, while two represented Edmonton: the Dominions and Eskimos. Led by Duke Keats, who scored 47 points in 22 games, the Eskimos finished at the top of the league standings. They faced the second place Wanderers in a home-and- home, total goal series for the championship. In June 2009, he left Birkirkara and joined fellow Maltese Premier League team Sliema Wanderers. He made his Premier League debut for Sliema Wanderers on 30 August 2009 in a 1–0 defeat to Qormi. Mifsud Triganza scored his first Premier League goal for Sliema Wanderers on 17 October 2009, and went on to score a hat trick in a 5–0 victory over Ħamrun Spartans. Birkirkara later on resigned Mifsud Triganza and assisted Demba Toure in a goal vs Hibernians FC. Mifsud Triganza left Birkirkara for Rivals Valletta.
Bencini began playing football when he was eight years old. He joined the Sliema Wanderers nursery, where he stayed for ten years winning all youth championship honours during that time. At 18 years old, Graham was promoted to the senior team, and made his Maltese Premier League debut against Naxxar Lions, during this time Bencini was also a member of the Malta U21 team. Despite only playing one game for Sliema Wanderers, Graham won a medal in his first professional season, with Sliema Wanderers been crowned champions for the 1995–96 season.
Despite the students' efforts, Wanderers won the game 2–0, and thus retained the trophy. This was Howell's first match for the Wanderers; he is, thus, one of the few players to have made his debut in an FA Cup Final. His solitary appearance for England had come three weeks before the Cup Final, in the second international match against Scotland played at Kennington Oval, London on 8 March 1873. England selected a side with a strong Wanderers influence, including Charles Chenery, Robert Vidal, Alexander Bonsor, William Kenyon- Slaney and Hubert Heron.
The 1st XV were promoted into the Caledonia League Division 1 at the beginning of the season where team came 8th in the league. The 2nd XV, known as the Aberdeen Wanderers Warriors development squad, were promoted into the Caledonia League Division 3 North League after the collapse of Division 4 at the start of the season. The Warriors finished 6th in the league. In Scottish Rugby's Club Youth Red Conference League, the Under 13 to Under 18 teams at Aberdeen Wanderers teamed up with Deeside RFC and played as "Deeside Wanderers".

On 26 September 2013, Danns signed on loan for Championship club Bolton Wanderers, managed by Dougie Freedman who had coached him at Crystal Palace. He made his first Wanderers appearance in a goalless draw away to Blackpool on 1 October, and his goal in the next match, away to Birmingham, gave his team their first league win of the season. He soon established himself in the team, and scored four goals from thirteen matches over the three-month spell.
The Cleghorn brothers moved to the Montreal Wanderers in 1911–12, where they spent the next six seasons. With the Wanderers he established a reputation as a fierce competitor with an explosive temper. He was also an offensive leader for the Wanderers. Cleghorn frequently carried the puck the length of the ice surface to generate scoring chances: in one game in 1913 he scored five goals against the Toronto Ontarios, and during the 1914–15 season he led the NHA with 12 assists and also scored 21 goals.
In McLean's return, Wanderers received twenty green kits and twenty white shorts, besides a black uniform for the goalkeepers. The explanation of the design change was that McLean, of Irish origin, decided to send kits with the colors of the Irish Football Association team. The first time which Wanderers used that uniform was on 18 September 1908. Since then the team has maintained its home kit with some exceptions, where it was used a white shirt with thin green stripes in late 60s or in 2001 when Wanderers won its third league title.
"Ex-soccer star Kunda walks barefoot" (15 September 1986) Times of Zambia, p.12 The following season, Kunda started off well and was once again Wanderers’ leading scorer but in June 1966, Wanderers hosted Kabwe United in a league match at Shinde stadium. His hat-trick had given Wanderers a 3-1 lead and as they pushed on for more goals, Kunda and Ken Simwanza collided in trying to head the same ball. Kunda came off worse and was stretchered off the pitch after suffering a broken nose.
The cup final was played at Kennington Oval on 23 March 1878, against the Wanderers, who had won the cup in the two previous seasons, with Morris selected at full-back. The Wanderers took an early lead through Jarvis Kenrick, before the Engineers gradually came back into the match. In the 20th minute, the ball went out of play close to the Wanderers' goal-line. Morris took the ensuing throw-in, delivering the ball into the goalmouth, from where it was bundled across the line for an equalising goal.
Gardner, as an official of the Wanderers, met with Ambrose O'Brien during the hockey meetings of December 1909, when the Wanderers and O'Brien's teams were left out of a new professional league. Gardner and O'Brien together worked on the idea of the new National Hockey Association, and the idea of a new francophone team for Montreal, to be named "Les Canadiens". The club would be a natural rival for the anglophone Wanderers. O'Brien, whose family controlled railway and mining business, underwrote both the new league and the Canadiens franchise.
Neither match took place, however, as in each case the away team withdrew from the competition, giving their opponents a bye into the next round. In the second round, Wanderers and Oxford both scored six goals, defeating Southall and 105th Regiment respectively. In the third round, Wanderers beat Pilgrims 3–0 and Oxford again progressed without playing when their scheduled opponents, the leading Scottish club Queen's Park, withdrew. Wanderers themselves progressed through the quarter-finals on a bye as an uneven number of teams remained in the competition.
In 1907, while acting trustee for P. D. Ross and John Sweetland, Mr. Foran became involved in the challenge series between the Montreal Wanderers and the Kenora Thistles. The Thistles had won the Cup from the Wanderers in a January challenge. The Wanderers would win their league and intended to challenge Kenora for the Cup. As the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey Association (ECAHA) season was over, two players from Ottawa, Rat Westwick and Alf Smith were signed by Kenora, and used in the final playoff for the Manitoba Pro Hockey League.
Few years later Bullets got their revenge when they beat Wanderers 1–0 in 2001 final of the same cup, to make matters worse it was Wanderers' old boy Mc Donald Yobe who scored the only goal against his former employers. The infamous 2003 final, probably the most anticipated, the two teams clashed in final of the same competition, Wanderers took an early lead in the first half when their wonderkid Joseph Kamwendo scored, he was only 17 at the time. Bullets equalized through their veteran striker Ganizani M'bobo Malunga.
Wanderers then had to use John Yumba Kachofa Stadium, the home of Mufulira Blackpool. In June 2005 Wanderers lost a league match to 2–1 to Red Arrows at Shinde and fans accused the referee of biased officiating and ran amok. The riot left several vehicles damaged and the Football Association of Zambia responded by closing the stadium for the rest of the season. In August 2008, Wanderers fans again rioted at Shinde when a league match against Kitwe United was abandoned following a pitch invasion when the home team conceded a late equalizer.

After the Wanderers folded, he joined the Ottawa Senators, where he was named playing coach.
Despite only drawing against Crystal Palace and Queen's Park in the next two rounds, Wanderers reached the final of the tournament, where they met a team from the Royal Engineers. The final was played at the Kennington Oval on 16 March 1872 for which Lubbock was selected as one of only two defenders, with Wanderers playing with eight forwards.
Born in Pietà, Mifsud is a youth product of Sliema Wanderers. He made his debut during the 1997–98 season. In his first season, Mifsud made six appearances and scored once, helping Sliema Wanderers to a third-place finish in the Maltese Premier League. Wanderers continued to exert further pressure on the Engineers' goal and only Merriman's skill was able to prevent them from increasing their lead. On January 10, 1914, in a game against the Montreal Wanderers, Newsy Lalonde scored six goals in one game. As of 2014, this is still the Canadiens' record for most goals in one game. Lalonde would repeat the feat in 1920. Lalonde would score five goals in one game one month later on February 11, again against the Wanderers.
Arthur Kinnaird was in goal for Wanderers Both teams chose to play with two full- backs, two half-backs and six forwards, in keeping with the attacking style of play generally employed at the time. Arthur Kinnaird played in goal for Wanderers, even though he had played as a forward in three earlier cup final appearances.
He started his footballing career as a junior with Dumfries Wanderers and after a short spell at Castle Douglas side, Douglas Wanderers, he decided to move down south, signing for Carlisle City. He then played for other clubs south of the border, namely Woolwich Arsenal, Chesterfield, Barrow and Queens Park Rangers in a career impacted by World War I.
