During hunts, these hawks may suddenly alight when detecting an available mammal. Sometimes, Cooper's hawks will engage in tandem hunts with one dashing around after the prey while another waits on the other side of a tree trunk or wooded thicket. Young Cooper's are impetuous about crashing into bushes after prey, sometimes even into thorny cover such as barberries, whereas adults are said to be more "prudent".

5\. Next, Wile E. builds a high wire structure and dons a wheel-head. The addition of caches reduces the frequency or duration of stalls due to waiting for data to be fetched from the memory hierarchy, but does not get rid of these stalls entirely. In early designs a cache miss would force the cache controller to stall the processor and wait. Of course there may be some other instruction in the program whose data is available in the cache at that point. Out-of-order execution allows that ready instruction to be processed while an older instruction waits on the cache, then re-orders the results to make it appear that everything happened in the programmed order.
" A Midrash taught that thus reports what actually happened to Joshua, for as reports, it was not the sons of Moses who succeeded their father, but Joshua. And the Midrash taught that , "And he who waits on his master shall be honored," also alludes to Joshua, for Joshua ministered to Moses day and night, as reported by , which says, "Joshua departed not out of the Tent," and , which says, "Joshua . . . said: ‘My lord Moses, shut them in.’" Consequently God honored Joshua by saying of Joshua in "He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim.
Because of an Israeli ban on the importation of construction materials such as cement and steel, which could be used to build bunkers for military use by Hamas, the UN Relief and Works Agency started to build mud brick homes. Aid agencies say that food waits on trucks and in warehouses, and many basic items are rejected by Israel as "luxuries" or are turned down for unexplained reasons. "Tin" cans are banned because the steel from which they are made might be used to build weaponry or structures by Hamas, making it hard for Gazan farmers to preserve their vegetables. Montage editing and slow pacing are used within the film to build suspense and elicit a greater emotional response from the audience during the attack scenes: "The pattern of The Birds was deliberately to go slow". This is exemplified in the scene where the birds gradually gather outside of the school, while an unobservant Melanie sits and waits on the bench. The camera then cuts between her and the increasing number of birds that swoop down onto the jungle gym behind her until they finally attack. Eyeline matches and point-of-view (POV) shots within the film encourage audience identification with particular characters and their subjective experiences.
Once the smoker has finished his cigarette, the agent places two new random items on the table. This process continues forever. Three semaphores are used to represent the items on the table; the agent increases the appropriate semaphore to signal that an item has been placed on the table, and smokers decrement the semaphore when removing items. Also, each smoker has an associated semaphore that they use to signal to the agent that the particular smoker is done smoking; the agent has a process that waits on each smoker's semaphore to let the agent know that it can place the new items on the table.

In rabbinic literature Joshua is regarded as a faithful, humble, deserving, wise man. Biblical verses illustrative of these qualities and of their reward are applied to him. "He that waits on his master shall be honored"Proverbs 27:18 is construed as a reference to Joshua,Numbers Rabbah 12 as is also the first part of the same verse, "Whoso keeps the fig-tree shall eat the fruit thereof"Yalkut Shimoni, Joshua 2; Numbers Rabbah 12:21 That "honor shall uphold the humble in spirit"Proverbs 29:23 is proved by Joshua's victory over Amalek.Numbers Rabbah 13 Not the sons of Moses—as Moses himself had expected—but Joshua was appointed as Moses' successor.
God, however, replied (in the words of ) that "Whoever keeps the fig-tree shall eat its fruit; and whoever waits on the master shall be honored." The sons of Moses sat idly by and did not study Torah, but Joshua served Moses and showed him great honor, rose early in the morning and remained late at night at the House of Assembly, and arranged the benches and spread the mats. As he had served Moses with all his might, he was worthy to serve Israel, and thus God in directed Moses to "take Joshua the son of Nun" as his successor.Numbers Rabbah 21:14, in, e.g., Midrash Rabbah: Numbers, translated by Judah J. The apparently bucolic aristo-existence of Peter and Flick is shadowed by an ailment on her part that makes physical intimacy impossible. Still reeling from the death of her true love Geoffrey, Flick has little time for the downtrodden, childish, and possibly mentally handicapped Peter. However, he waits on his reluctant wife hand and foot, nursing her through her struggle with an imaginary illness which, in Flick's own words, means "penile accommodation is absolutely impossible", despite a highly suspicious relationship with her masseur. Flick rarely acknowledges this compassion, utterly exasperated with Peter's small stature and is more than happy to bury him in the pet cemetery when his time to leave this world comes.
From 2006, Radiohead began performing a slower version on Rhodes piano as an introduction to "Everything in its Right Place". According to the Phoenix New Times, "This is a looser, lighter take ... without the clear chord changes and forceful desperation of the acoustic version, one that somehow emphasises the romantic quality of the lyrics rather than the loneliness." In 2016, more than 20 years after it was written, Radiohead released "True Love Waits" Radiohead as the last track on their ninth album, A Moon Shaped Pool, in a minimal piano arrangement. Radiohead performed this arrangement on the Moon Shaped Pool tour, until their 2018 tour of South America, when Yorke performed "True Love Waits" on acoustic guitar again.
This operation as there are sequential reads and writes and there's no waits for function calls used, hence no context switch/wait takes place in this case. The Association had the vessel modified by The Moore Dry Dock Company of Oakland, after consultation with the original designer, increased power with a Atlas-Imperial diesel engine to replace the original Atlas diesel engine that in turn required modifications to the stern to accommodate a larger shaft and diameter propeller with pitch replacing the original diameter, 2-bladed propeller. The propulsion change increased speed from approximately knots. With the role recast, and the script restructured accordingly, filming resumed in Vancouver on 24 February 2008, a month later than originally planned; this push-back in filming also required another film produced by Samuel Hadida, an adaptation of the video game Onimusha, to be delayed indefinitely. Exteriors required for the film's ending, featuring Christopher Plummer and Verne Troyer, were shot during this time; the location work also required the presence of Tom Waits (on the first day) and Lily Cole (on the second). All of Plummer's scenes, including exterior flashbacks shown early on in the film, had to be filmed first in the Vancouver schedule, within three weeks, as he was due to leave to begin filming on The Last Station, which was to start production in Germany on 7 April. After arriving in Vancouver on 26 February, Colin Farrell joined the cast and began practicing scenes with them for several weeks while Christopher Plummer's bluescreen and interior work was done, only beginning filming proper on 10 March.
