After 1914, the Church of God in Christ became predominantly black and the Assemblies of God would remain predominantly white. However, there were African Americans involved in the early years of the Assemblies of God. In 1973, Vancouver city planner Peter Davies decided what was needed to address some of the DTES' health and social problems (high rates of tuberculosis and other communicable diseases related to poverty) was a democratic organization. He enlisted the support of Eriksen, Jean Swanson and Libby Davies, who organized DERA. The group's mandate was to build a democratic voice within the neighbourhood. The organization required its members to be residents of the community, which for many years had been known only by the pejorative Skid Road.

TamU-K was founded by supporters of Tampere United on September 11, 2009 as a supporters’ trust. The aim was to gain a voice within the club and buy shares to the club when it hit financial difficulties. The original purpose of the supporters’ trust changed when the Tampere United was thrown out of Veikkausliiga in April 2011, and the football Association of Finland subsequently banned the club from all competitions. At this point the supporters' trust decided to enter a team into a recreational football league for the 2011 season.

Scullin in 1931. Returning to Australia in 1931, Scullin was faced with a party now deeply divided over how to respond to the Depression. Jack Lang had won election as Premier of New South Wales and had become a leading alternative voice within Labor, advocating radical measures including repudiation of interest on debts to Britain and printing money to pay for public works programs to relieve unemployment and inflate the currency. The NSW contingent in Federal parliament was sympathetic to Lang's views and had become disillusioned with Scullin's leadership and his compromises with conservative interests.

In 1977 CASA worked with several other Latino organizations to advocate for amnesty to undocumented immigrants and against sanctions applied to employers who hired them. Intervals is a Canadian progressive metal band. Formed in Toronto, Ontario, the band has toured throughout Canada and the United States with bands such as Animals as Leaders, Protest the Hero, Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist. Intervals released two EPs, The Space Between (2011) and In Time (2012), and their debut full-length album A Voice Within on March 4, 2014, featuring vocals by Mike Semesky. After the exit of every band member except for guitarist Aaron Marshall, follow-up albums The Shape of Colour (2015) and The Way Forward (2017) were released.

Google introduced special Voice Communication Collars that fit around animal necks and use a series of sensors to record audio directly from animal vocal cords. Using a WiFi network, audio messages are uploaded to Google Voice within seconds. Alternately, a tiny micro-LED emitter built into the collar can project a keyboard onto the floor, so the animal pet can tap its front paws to send text messages. To understand animal language, Google took their voicemail transcription engine and combined it with millions of adorable pet videos from the Internet, training it to translate cat meows or dog growls into English.

She was also known as a Fennoman. She founded the first official women's rights organization in Finland, the Suomen Naisyhdistys (Finnish Women's Association), in Helsinki in 1884. Between 1887–1888, she traveled in England and the United States, to study lessons from the women's movements of those countries.

Mahfuz bin Haji Omar (Jawi: محفوظ بن عمر; born 25 August 1957) is a Malaysian politician and currently is the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Pokok Sena constituency in the state of Kedah, Malaysia. He is a member of National Trust Party (AMANAH), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Mahfuz was the head of Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) youth wing from 1999 to 2003. Under his leadership, PAS Youth was a progressive voice within PAS, advocating for the party to join the Barisan Alternatif coalition with the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and the People's Justice Party (PKR).

Sedgwick gives the Native American population a voice within Hope Leslie through her characterization of various people within the novel. The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan Latino organization affiliated with the AFL-CIO and the Change to Win federation. The AFL-CIO had chartered its first retiree organization, the National Council of Senior Citizens (NCSC), in 1962 and its first civil rights organization, the A. Philip Randolph Institute, in 1965. The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists followed in 1972 to give a broader, more effective voice within the AFL-CIO to black workers, and the Coalition of Labor Union Women was chartered in 1974. But it was the large influx of Latino workers brought about by the chartering of the United Farm Workers in 1966 that led to a push by Latino labor union activists for a separate organization of their own.

The 1960s saw a significant increase in the number of professional workers joining labor unions in the United States. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy granted collective bargaining rights to federal workers. Unions such as the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, American Federation of Government Employees, American Postal Workers Union, National Association of Letter Carriers, American Federation of Teachers, Service Employees International Union, National Education Association and American Nurses Association added hundreds of thousands of new members in only a few years. The number of professionals also grew phenomenally: By 1977, there were 13.9 million professional workers in the U.S. The fast-growing professional and public employee unions of the AFL-CIO pushed for a more effective voice within the federation.

In 1966, Philip Holzman and Clyde Rousey concluded from their studies that voice confrontation also arises from differences in "extra-linguistic cues" that reveal aspects of personality which are only perceivable through recordings, such as anxiety levels, indecision, sadness, and anger. People are accustomed to the sound of their voice from the combination of internal and external stimuli, so people "build our self-image and vocal self image around what we hear, rather than the reality" according to Birchall. In a 1967 study, only 38% of people were able to identify recordings of their own voice within 5 seconds. The disappointment from extra-linguistic cues can be especially problematic for people with body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria since they may perceive their voice as sounding like someone of the opposite gender.

In line with Norway's emphasis on inclusive international processes, the United Nations and the UN-system, in a 2010 interview with Der Spiegel, former Norwegian foreign minister Jonas Gahr Støre called the G20 "one of the greatest setbacks since World War II" as 173 nations who are all members of the UN are not among the G20. This includes Norway, a major developed economy and the seventh-largest contributor to UN international development programs, which is not a member of the EU, and thus is not represented in the G20 even indirectly. Norway, like other such nations, has little or no voice within the group. Støre argued that the G20 undermines the legitimacy of international organizations set up in the aftermath of World War II, such as the IMF, World Bank and United Nations: Norway, under the government of Erna Solberg, attended the 2017 G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, and participates in working groups and sub-working groups, for instance on research.

After producing North Bound Cairo (1987), Mangaard's move from the ethical questions of experimental documentary, to fiction and narrative filmmaking is present in Let Me Wrap My Arms Around You (1992), a personal work that deals with the act of appropriating the artist's life and the life of her lover. Many of Mangaard's works have contributed an integral voice within the feminist movements in Toronto (and beyond) that were working to establish that women are here, women are creating, and women definitely deserve equal opportunities and respect. This feminist voice shines through in the careful treatment Mangaard initiates in her documentary Suzy Lake: Playing With Time (2014), where attention is directed to the role Lake played in how dramatically the art (and real) world has changed for female-identified artists... (and also how things have not changed). Her short film There is in power...seduction (1985), focused important concerns regarding gendered power imbalances, and features an exploration of the symbolic ambiguity of corporate versus sensual power.

Due to displacement and segregation in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, many African Americans were aided by settlement homes for not only economic and social services, but programming for the arts as well. The Hallie Q. Brown Community Center of St. Paul, Minnesota, much like the South Side Settlement house in Chicago and Henry Street Settlement house in New York, wanted to invest more in its art programming because it gave community members the tools to craft a voice within a community through visual arts, music, literature, and theatre. These centers were not only a popular outlet for entertainment, but also a critical part of the Black Arts Movement where African Americans spoke out about racial inequalities and allowed them to shape a sense of identity. The Hallie Q. Brown Community Center's second executive director, Henry R. Thomas, drafted a construction plan to incorporate a fully functional theater within its Martin Luther King Jr. facility to support these demands.

The novel is set in the far future, where interplanetary and alternate-dimension travel is possible. In addition, an Internet-like information system, known as "Granny Nanny", dominates daily life, with each person being injected with nanomites that allow mental access to Granny Nanny at birth. This access takes the form of an eshu, a mental voice within the head that provides information upon request and operates as a sort of sixth sense. The use of Granny Nanny is so widespread that the word has somewhat of a religious overtone (characters will often swear to Granny Nanny, for example). The story is eventually revealed to be narrated by Granny Nanny, speaking to Tan-Tan’s child as he is being born. The book’s protagonist is Tan-Tan Habib, a seven-year-old girl living in Cockpit County on the Carib- colonized planet of Toussaint (named for Toussaint Louverture), with her father Antonio and mother Ione.

In 1998, after 15 UK issues, Trace moved its headquarters to the US. Grunitzky cited at least part of the reason for this as the desire for a more accessible and dynamic kind of publication than was possible in London at that time. The magazine struggled initially; at one point, financial backing for the cash-strapped publication came via a $110,000 cheque from The RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan. However, it has since become a well-respected voice within the urban style scene. Its cover stars have included celebrities including the models Naomi Campbell, Devon Aoki, Iman and Tyra Banks, the actresses Thandie Newton and Rosario Dawson, the boxer Mike Tyson, and the musicians Diddy, Common, IAM, DMX, Erykah Badu, Kelis, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Foxy Brown, Omega Sirius Moon, Gwen Stefani, Notorious BIG, Sean Paul, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Sisqo, Eve and Snoop Dogg.

She was seriously ill in 2009, spending 70 days in intensive care and six months in hospital. In 2016, Easson's lobbying activities drew attention due to Probity International's work for Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit at the same time as Easson had emerged an influential pro-Israel voice within the party's debates over policy on Israel-Palestine and as a member of the Australia Israel Labor Dialogue, which was funding trips for MPs to Israel to support their platform. She denied that Elbit had donated to AILD, but was met with criticism from opposing Labor MPs: Bob Carr stated that any connection to Elbit was "a shameful look — arms dealers, civilian deaths, the electronic fence" and called for transparency as to their fundraising, while Melissa Parke said of the situation: "it is a concern not to know who is providing the funds, particularly where there is a person associated with an Israeli weapons manufacturer on the AILD committee". She published a book about the history of Australia's retirement incomes and superannuation system, Keating’s and Kelty’s Super Legacy, in 2017.

Christina Aguilera is an American singer. She signed with RCA Records and released her self-titled debut album under the label in 1999. It peaked atop the US Billboard 200 and spawned three US number-one singles: "Genie in a Bottle", "What a Girl Wants" and "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)". The album helped Aguilera win a Grammy Award for Best New Artist at the 2000 Grammy Awards, and "Genie in a Bottle" received a nomination for Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. In 2000, she released her two follow-up studio albums, a Spanish-language record Mi Reflejo (under Sony Music Latin) and a Christmas album My Kind of Christmas. The former received a Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Awards of 2001. Aguilera released her fourth studio album Stripped in 2002, which yielded five singles: "Dirrty" featuring Redman, "Beautiful", "Fighter", "Can't Hold Us Down" featuring Lil' Kim and "The Voice Within". All of them were nominated for numerous awards from 2003 to 2004.

These acts are centered on ideas widely associated with love in many different traditions such as kindness, respect, compassion, and empathy. There is inherent value to every soul because they are human. Rabbi Laurie Zoloth-Dorfman states, “The conscience can be said, then, not to be the speaking of the voice within but rather the hearing of the quiet voice of the other, this voice, just as clearly as one’s “own,” must remind us to see each child as our own, each journey and each need as fundamentally shared.” Rather than finding compassion within oneself, we are obligated to find compassion from our empathy and natural connectedness to others. A native of New York, Murray studied at Hunter College and the Manhattan School of Music. In 1993 she received commissions to create: a score for the inaugural concert at the Danny Kaye/Sylvia Fine Playhouse entitled "Five Minute Tango", performed by the Manhattan Brass Quintet; The Conversation for the Seattle-based New Performance Group at the Walker Art Center in Minnesota for the Music in Motion program; Flashes, a structured improvised collaboration with choreographer Blondell Cummings and musicians Jeanne Lee and Pauline Oliveros for the Firewall Festival 1993; and music for Helen Thorington's radio piece Dracula's Wives for broadcast. In 1994, Murray's works included The Voice Within, an a cappella theater piece for ten voices with text by Marcus Gardley, at Aaron Davis Hall; a tour of Flashes to the Taklos Festival in Switzerland; and, a dramatized version of Unending Pain, with text by Laurie Carlos, at P.S. 122 in New York City. Her work as a composer was intermixed with an extensive concert schedule as a band leader and concert soloist.

The paper no longer argued defiantly on the basis of the UK as a world power, but rather portrayed the UK as too small to stand alone, and thus encouraged resolve and perseverance with entry negotiations. This is exemplified by one October 1967 article: The newspaper took to minimalising the economic importance of the Commonwealth in its editorials, calling into question the interpretation of statistical data by those who had an emotional investment in the self-image of the UK as one-time head of an Empire: It pointed to the civil service as one of the ways in which parliamentary sovereignty, something that the opponents of entry argued would be eroded by membership, had already been eroded. Whilst it no longer advocated radical transformation from within, it observed that the UK would have a significant voice within the EC, by virtue of its size. Medrano equates the paper's change in editorial stance, immediately before and after the UK's final success in gaining membership, to a "religious conversion".
