In 1984 Bidlo staged a reinvention of “The Factory,” inviting participants to engage. There were 2 Edie Sedgwicks, 2 Vivas, 2 Marilyn Monroes, and one Andy. The structure itself is in the form of a flower with petals that could move to limit sunlight exposure in the interior. There was a conscious effort with the design to be green by limiting the energy needed for the building and not wasting any materials during the construction. Nature is present throughout the building, particularly in the interior, where thousands of different plants fill numerous gardens. Vivas was determined to incorporate Venezuelan ecology into the building and picks the national flower, the orchid, to model the design of the petals.

The main focal point of the structure is the roof consisting of 16 movable petals designed to resemble an orchid, the national flower of Venezuela. To achieve such a look and mobility, Vivas decided to construct the petals out of a textile membrane supported by a lightweight tubular steel frame. There were several iterations before settling on the one finally implemented; the main difficulty was figuring how to support the movement of the petals. Several of the designs either wrinkled the membrane when closed or too complicated and expensive.

General Vivas was born in San Cristóbal on October 10, 1956. In 1978 he graduated from the military academy, and in 1988 he graduated as civil engineer. He went on to study "Planning and Transport Organization" in London, UK. In 1997 the OAS appointed him commander of the multinational mission MARMINCA in Central America, an operation for mine clearing in the former war-ravaged countries. In 2002 he obtained an MBA in UNET, and in 2006 a doctorate in Business Administration in Finance at the Texan American University.

On 9 August 2017, the United States Department of the Treasury placed sanctions on Farías for her position in the 2017 Constituent Assembly of Venezuela. Responding to the May 2018 Venezuelan presidential election, Canada sanctioned 14 Venezuelans on 30 May 2018, including Farías, stating that the "economic, political and humanitarian crisis in Venezuela has continued to worsen as it moves ever closer to full dictatorship". The government said the 2018 presidential election was "illegitimate and anti-democratic", and sanctioned Vivas, along with 13 other members of the ANC and TSJ.

Edgar Chamorro is the son of Julio Chamorro Benard and Dolores "Lola" Coronel Urtecho, the paternal grandson of Filadelfo Chamorro Bolaños and Bertha Benard Vivas and great-grandson of Pedro Joaquín Chamorro y Alfaro, 39th President of Nicaragua, and María de la Luz Bolaños Bendaña. He has six brothers and four sisters, and is the nephew of intellectual José Coronel Urtecho. In 1950, 19-year-old Chamorro began studying for the Jesuit priesthood, earning degrees from Ecuador's Catholic University, Saint Louis University, and Marquette University. Chamorro joined the faculty of the Jesuit-run University of Central America, before leaving the priesthood in 1969.

The mausoleum to Hugo Chávez consists of a granite sarcophagus atop a flat architectural composition of four leaves entitled Flower of the Four Elements by modernist architect 'Fruto' (Jose Fructoso) Vivas (1928–) (national Architecture Price and designer of the Venezuelan Pavilion at Hanover in 2000) and has a permanent ceremonial 4-man honour guard provided by the Presidential Honor Guard Brigade, which is changed every hour. A 19th century cannon is fired every afternoon from the Fort marking the time of his death by a National Militia gun crew. Both ceremonies are open to the public.

Kapranos stated that the band promised themselves they would also focus on not over- publicizing their progress as he felt that's something he regretted about their previous album. Vivas Valdivieso is recorded to have been the facilitator of the building of "Modern Ponce". During his administration, he secured a municipal loan of $1,250,000 ($ in dollars) for citywide improvements that would turn the municipality of Ponce, come the administration of his successor Emilio Fagot, into the city it became during the rest of the 20th century. The current building was built during the 16th and 17th centuries with gothic and baroque styles, while the North wing was finished in the 18th century. The monastery belonged to the order of the Augustinians, guarded the image of the Virgin of Aguas Vivas, patron saint of the city of Carcaixent. In the middle of the 19th century as a result of the Ecclesiastical Confiscations of Mendizábal, the monks had to leave the convent, which became the property of the barons of Casanova, aiming at rural housing. In 1977 the monastery was acquired and refurbished to destine it to hotel residence by Antonio Vidal Bellver (photographer and entrepreneur of Carcaixent).

On September 2014, Simonovis was granted house arrest to receive medical treatment.

The husares of Pueyrredón owes its name to Juan Martín de Pueyrredón, who was in charge of recruiting volunteers during the first British invasion of the Río de la Plata. Pueyrredon belonged to a family of French and Irish descent, maternal grandson of Dionis O'Duggan, an Irish officer who served in the Spanish armies. Members of this squadron participated in the Battle of Perdriel, against the troops of William Beresford. The Escuadrón de Húsares de Pueyrredón was officially created on August 14, 1806, it was composed of three cavalry squadrons commanded by Juan Martín Pueyrredón, Lucas Vivas (2° Escuadrón) and Pedro Ramón Núñez (3° Escuadrón).

The presidential candidates of the Unit's Bureau were registered between the first 3 days of November 2011, for the primary election to be held on February 12, 2012. This election had five candidates. Prior to the nominations, other political leaders and national and regional personalities declined, including: Antonio Ledezma, César Pérez Vivas, Cecilia Sosa and Oswaldo Álvarez Paz. After the registration process, the MUD Primary Electoral Commission decided not to admit Pablo Medina's nomination, since he did not have the necessary resources to help finance the primaries; But later he was admitted, after he committed to contribute what he could, claiming to be a man of few resources of union origin.

Lighted alebrije figures on display at the museum The museum is best known for its yearly parade of “monumental alebrijes” which began as a yearly event in 2007. An alebrije is a fantastical creature, which usually include various parts of real-life or fantastic creatures. These not only include creatures such as flies with dragon tails and multi-headed lions, the works also carry fantastic names such as “La Mula de Seis” (The Six Mule), “Alebrijos” (combination of alebrije and “hijos” (sons)), “AH1N1” and “La Gárgola de la Atlántida” (The Gargoyle of Atlantis).

The band featured on several shows over Christmas 2008 including performing "Never Miss a Beat" with Girls Aloud on their TV Special and playing the same song on the Christmas Day edition of Top of the Pops. On 16 July 2009, they played at Marés Vivas in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal as headliners on that day. They, along with Republic of Loose, opened for U2 in Croke Park in Dublin on 25 July 2009. They then opened for Green Day from 27 July to 7 August 2009, and the final shows before their 2-year hiatus were performed at Reading and Leeds Festival 2009.

Aponte fled Venezuela to Costa Rica in April 2012 after being accused of assisting Makled who said he had been paying Aponte US$70,000 per month related to joint business ventures. Aponte then contacted the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration which provided him with a flight to the United States.

This flared up comments from PAN politiciansPAN confident that the Anti-grasshopper law will be reversed , La Crónica December 23, 2006. saying that he would be violating the state's Antichapulin ("anti-grasshopper") law which prohibits a person of public office to "jump" from one charge to another without ending their current term. Padilla DeBorst was born in Colombia as the eldest daughter of an American mother, Catharine Feser Padilla, and an Ecuadorian father, the theologian René Padilla. She attended high school and university in Argentina, receiving her B.Ed. at the Instituto Nacional Superior en Lenguas Vivas in 1984, an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies at Wheaton College in 1987, and a PhD in theology from Boston University in 2016, under the supervision of Dana L. The 2010 Men's European Volleyball League was the seventh edition of the annual Men's European Volleyball League, which featured men's national volleyball teams from eight European countries: Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey. A preliminary league round was played from June 4 to July 11, and the final four tournament was held at the Polideportivo Aguas Vivas hall, in Guadalajara, Spain, on July 16 and 17. During the league round, competing nations were drawn into two pools of four teams, and played each other in a double round-robin system, with two matches per leg in a total of six legs. Ponce (1945-1970), now on display at Museo de la Historia de Ponce El Nuevo Día was founded in 1909 in the city of Ponce as "El Diario de Puerto Rico," later changing its name to "El Día" in 1911, a name it kept for nearly seven decades. Its founder was Guillermo V. Cintrón, with assistance from Eugenio Astol and Nemesio Canales. Its editorial staff consisted of Felix Matos Bernier, Juan Braschi, Nemesio R. Canales, Felix Astol, and Eugenio Deschamps. In 1928 Guillermo V. Cintron sold the paper to Guillermo Vivas Valdivieso who formed an editorial team consisting of the three Gil De Lamadrid brothers (Jesus, Joaquin and Alfredo), Enrique Colon Barega, and Julio Enrique Monagas, and published the paper until 1945.

Some of the attempts to group glasses by workshop attribute Jewish glasses and those of other religions to the same workshop. Apart from the use of symbols rather than human figures, the Jewish glasses seem to have been used in very much the same way as those from other religious groups, which is also characteristic of other classes of Jewish artefacts from Rome at this time, where the Jewish community adopted many aspects of the general Roman way of life. Of the 13 known, five have inscriptions including the phrase "pie zeses" (see above) and two "anima dulcis" (literally "sweet soul", equating to "sweetheart"), both very common phrases in Christian and pagan inscriptions. The rarer phrase "vivas cum ..." ("live with ...") is also found on Jewish and non-Jewish glasses.

El Universal reported that according to the UCV study Venezuelan Community Abroad: A New Method of Exile, by Thomas Paez, Mercedes Vivas and Juan Rafael Pulido, the Bolivarian diaspora has been caused by the "deterioration of both the economy and the social fabric, rampant crime, uncertainty and lack of hope for a change of leadership in the near future". The Wall Street Journal said that many "white-collar Venezuelans have fled the country's high crime rates, soaring inflation and expanding statist controls". Studies of current and former citizens of Venezuela indicated that reasons for leaving the country included lack of freedom, high levels of insecurity and lack of opportunity. Link Consultants director Oscar Hernandez said that causes for emigration include economic issues, although insecurity and legal uncertainties are the main reasons.

In a study titled Venezolana Community Abroad: A New Method of Exile by Thomas Páez, Mercedes Vivas and Juan Rafael Pulido of the Central University of Venezuela, over 1.5 million Venezuelans, between 4% and 6% of Venezuela's population, left the country following the Bolivarian Revolution; more than 90% of those who left were college graduates, with 40% of them holding a Master's degree and 12% having doctorates and/or post doctorates. The study used official verification of data from outside of Venezuela and surveys from hundreds of former Venezuelans. Of those involved in the study, reasons for leaving Venezuela included lack of freedom, high levels of insecurity, and lack of opportunities in the country. Folk dance group "Aguas Vivas" at the 2009 parade The event is alternatively known as La Noche de los Alebrijes (Night of the Alebrijes), and the Desfile y Concurso de Alebrijes Monumentales del MAP (Monumental Alebrije Parade and Contest of MAP). The parade and contest is organized by the Museo de Arte Popular, in collaboration with the federal and city secretariats of culture, the authorities of the historic center of Mexico City, the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, the Associación de Amigos del MAP and the BBDO company. Its purpose is a homage to Mexican handcrafts and folk art, especially cartonería (a kind of very hard paper mache) in order to restore value to it in modern society. In the spring or early summer, the Museo de Art Popular puts out an open call for participants, inviting individual artists and artisans along with museums, galleries, hotels, restaurants, businesses and public and private institutions.

The cemeteries in Africa (called areae) were not catacombs like those in Rome, but above ground in the open air, and often had a chapel (cella) adjoining them, where the (sometimes secret) reunions of the faithful took place on the anniversaries of the martyrs and of the other Christians who were buried there. The inscriptions on the tombs often state that the departed had lived a life of Christian peace, in pace vixit, or often express their faith and hope of the faithful in a future life of happiness together with the Lord --spes in Deo--in Deo vivas. St. Augustine in the 4th century also insists, that the normally dead Christian faithful should be prayed for during the Eucharist's Memento "at our altars", but forbade to pray for the martyrs - these heroes were believed to be immediately with God after their deaths.

Azucena Galettini (Buenos Aires, 1981) is an Argentinean writer and translator. She holds a BA in Latin-American Literature by Universidad de Buenos Aires and a BA in Translation (English-Spanish) by Instituto en Educación Superior en Lenguas Vivas “J. R. Fernández”. Her short stories book Lo único importante en el mundo was awarded a mention of honor by Fondo Nacional de las Artes in 2006 and was published by El Fin de la Noche in 2010. The following year it was shortlisted in Premio Internacional de Cuento para Libro Édito “Juan José Manauta” selected among some 500 books. In 2012 it was incorporated to the portal by Fundación del Libro “Books from Argentina”, created for fostering the translation of Argentinean writers. Her novel La primera de las tres virtudes was shortlisted for the Premio Internacional de Novela “Letra Sur” in 2012, selected from more than 300 manuscripts. From 2011 to 2015 she was Editor in Chief in the literary magazine La Balandra (otra narrativa).

The car was developed by Opel and a direct development of a succession of previous Opel Rekords, but during the closing decades of the twentieth century General Motors displayed a growing strategic interest in internationalizing their products, and the underpinnings of the Rekord E became known as the General Motors "V-platform".

One of Coronel's oldest twin sons, Manuel Coronel Kautz, is currently Nicaragua's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Head Authority of the Nicaragua Great Canal project, currently the largest economical initiative of the country. Twin Ricardo Coronel Kautz, was a member of the anti Somoza political movement known as “The Group of Twelve”, in Spanish ‘’Los Doce’’, and both were Sub Secretaries of the Agrarian Reform Institute between 1980 and 1989. The youngest son Carlos Coronel Kautz was key adviser to Edén Pastora, a guerrilla commander who separated from the Sandinistas in 1981. His nephews, brothers Edgar Chamorro Coronel and Eduardo, on the other side, supported the “Contras” against the Sandinistas, in the civil war that took place with the United States financial support after the 1979 Revolution. They are sons of Jose's sister Dolores “Lola” Coronel Urtecho, who married Julio Chamorro Benard, son of Filadelfo Chamorro Bolaños with wife Bertha Benard Vivas, and paternal grandson of Pedro Joaquín Chamorro Alfaro, the 39th President of Nicaragua, and wife María de la Luz Bolaños Bendaña.

The Belli inhabited the middle Jiloca and Huerva river valleys in Zaragoza province with their territories stretching up to the Guadalope and upper Turia valleys, close to their neighbours and clients, the Titii. Their early capital was Segeda (Poyo de Maya – Zaragoza; Celtiberian mint: Sekaiza), subsequently transferred to nearby Durón de Belmonte and later offset by Bilbilis (Valdeherrera, near Calatayud – Zaragoza; Celtiberian mint: Bilbiliz). Other Belli urban centers included Nertobriga (La Almunia de Doña Godina – Zaragoza; Celtiberian mint: Nertobis), Contrebia Belaisca (Zaforas de Botorita – Zaragoza; Celtiberian mint: Contebacom Bel), Beligiom (Piquete de la Atalaya de Azuara – Zaragoza; Celtiberian mint: Belikiom), Lesera (El Forcal) and Belgeda (Belchite – Zaragoza). It is plausible that by the 2nd Century BC they exerted some form of control over the strategic frontier towns of Belia (sited somewhere between the Huerva' and Aguas Vivas' rivers; Celtiberian mint: Belaiscom), Osicerda (El Palau de Alcañiz – Teruel; Iberian designation: Usercerte), Damania (Hinojosa de Jarque – Teruel; Celtiberian mint: Tamaniu) and Orosis (La Caridad de Caminreal – Teruel; Celtiberian mint: Orosiz), facing the Iberian Lobetani and Edetani peoples of the modern Valencia coastal region.

In an interview with The Nation, Venezuelan writer and member of the Venezuelan Council of State Luis Britto García referenced such photographs as evidence of the opposition's campaign to falsely portray the protests as having widespread student support when the protests instead involve, as he claimed, only a few hundred students in a country with 9.5 million of them. Usage of false media also applies to the government when President of the National Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, shared a photo on a VTV program showing an alleged "gun collection" at the home of Ángel Vivas, when it was really a photo taken from an airsoft gun website. Minister of Tourism, Andrés Izarra, also used old images of crowded ferries from August 2013 trying to indicate that life is back to normal in Venezuela and a massive mobilization of ferries are on their way to Margarita Island. Student protesters contested the statement, saying there is no Carnaval celebrations on the island and that "here there is nothing to celebrate; Venezuela is mourning".

In a modern work, such as the Oriel College Oxford, A short guide (2006), the year is given as 1350. It was bought in 1493 for £4.18s.1d., under the mistaken belief that it had belonged to Edward II. In a college inventory of plate dated 21 December 1596, it is named as the Founder's Cup. The second notable piece of plate is a mazer of maplewood with silver gilt mounts, dating from 1470–1485. On the edge of the rim is a row of grouped beads; below is an inscription in black letters: :Vir racione vivas non quod petit atra voluptas sic caro casta datur lis lingue suppeditatur :Man, in thy draughts let reason be thy guide, and not the craving of perverted lust; :So honest nourishment will be supplied, and strife of tongue be trampled in the dust This type of shallow drinking vessel was quite common in the Middle Ages, but the only other mazers in Oxford are three dating from the 15th century, and one standing mazer from 1529–1530, all belonging to All Souls.

First steps for Rock music in Venezuela started by the oil industry jump in the late 1950s and can be traced to the band "Los Dangers", where after Rudy Márquez, it would be part with Henry Stephen of "Los Impala", a band from the prominent crude oil city Maracaibo and the first South American group with a high reputation and considerable impact in other continents (pretty much of his career in Spain). In Caracas "Los Holidays" released several albums, and were the first Latin- American rock band to travel and work in Europe (Mostly Spain's Costa Brava, July 1966-October 1966). Los Holidays main vocalist, Wolfgang Vivas went on to a solo career, as did guitarist/vocalist Franklin Holland (Van Splunteren) who later joined the American band "Gary and the Playboys", and created a new and very original "Proyecto Franklin Holland" in Caracas, 1984, releasing several well received albums on the Sonografica label. Then came up bands like "Los Darts", "Los 007", "Los Supersonicos" and "Los Claners" who followed the British rock pattern.

The Foundation aimed to stimulate local technology development, founding a school and workshop in Bailadores with everything that Zambrano needed to create and to teach young people in the zone, and creating the Luis Zambrano prize for technological inventiveness, awarded annually by the Ministry for People's Power in Science and Technology (MPPCT), previously known as the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICIT) In 1983 he was named patron of the 8th Graduating Class of Industrial Engineers of the National Experimental University of Táchira. In November 1984, the University of Los Andes awarded him the title of Doctor Honoris Causa "for his useful creative work", the first time that this award had been given to a country man.

The city chronicler Velio Vivas Valdes and researcher Ric Hajovsky agree that a small book published in St. Louis Missouri, Powell & Maynard in 1874 is the first historical reference to the Cozumel Carnival. Author Claude Luther Goodrich Noble, originally from New York, lived on the island for six months in 1873; on his return to the United States in 1874 he published his memoirs on the short time he had lived in Cozumel, mentioning the 1873 Carnival: > "All Classes Ages Are Fond of Music, Dancing, Gambling a Little, feast-day > sports, the recurrence of which are frequent, the Innocent revelry of the > pastories, the parade and pomp of the Carnival. The guitar and violin, bugle > and drums are most of the musical instruments, and all these are sadly out > of repair ¡No piano or organ has ever yet been taken to the island!". The second oldest historical reference of this celebration is a notice in the journal "Merida", published on March 30 and April 20, 1876 by Nestor Rubio Alpuche, announcing the beginning of carnival activities on the island.
