The medical branch does not have a precise date. During 1908, second constitutional period, its structure included doctors, surgeons, veterinaries, pharmacists, dentists, chemists, wound-dressers and nurses. They were organized by the Health department of the Ministry of War.

On January 1, 2017, the FDA enacted legislation to require that all human medically important feed-grade antibiotics (many prior over-the-counter-drugs) become classified as Veterinary Feed Directive drugs (VFD). This action requires that farmers establish and work with veterinaries to receive a written VFD order. The effect of this act places a requirement on an established veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). Through this relationship, farmers will receive an increased education in the form of advice and guidance from their veterinarian.

He was born 1941 in Istanbul and his childhood was spent moving from one location in Turkey to another following the successive assignments of his parents, who were veterinaries employed by the state. By his teens, he was already recognized as a child prodigy in sculpture and painting, and he concentrated on the former discipline after his enrollment in the ceramics branch of Istanbul State College of Fine and Applied Arts (). While at the third grade of the school, he received the first prize in a "World Contest for Young Sculptors". He completed his training in Germany at Porzellanfabrik Schönwald in 1962.

Bulletin of Prince of Asturias Foundation This award is conferred on rare occasions and has been bestowed on such public figures as the Prince of Asturias, scientists Severo Ochoa and Grande Covián and Sabino Fernández Campo, the Count of Latores. In September 2006 he was given the Medal for Police Merit by the Spanish Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs. The Avilés city council awarded him the city's Gold Medal in October 2006 and in February 2007 he was named Honorary Citizen of Aller by the Aller Town Council. That same year, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation’s Diplomatic School awarded him both the Carlos III Medal, its highest honour, and a Gold Medal. He was also awarded a Gold Medal by the Veterinaries’ Association of the Principality of Asturias, as well as the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Civil Guard with a white ribbon.
