This is not the first time that teens and college students have exposed key weaknesses in the internet: The first major computer worm was unleashed in November 1988 by Robert Morris, then a student at Cornell, and the first major intrusion into the Pentagon's computer networks—a case known as Solar Sunrise—came a decade later, in 1998; it was the work of two California teens in concert with an Israeli contemporary.
