The vocal lines were not always sung, and today usually not performed or recorded.

Apel 1972, 170. One other piece was attributed to Brunel by Knud Jeppesen: an organ mass discovered in the 1940s in manuscripts that were kept in the main church of Castell'Arquato. The mass, subtitled Messa de la dominica, is signed Jaches at the end of the last Kyrie verset. It is a typical Italian organ mass, consisting of many short pieces for the alternation practice.

Ivan was a collaborator on the programme Mill-Gnejna Maltija almost two decades ago. He also performed in six radio plays. He started a programme called Verset il- Lejl in 2011 along with his wife on a local radio station which is still airing, but under a different name: Storja flok Siesta. Its artists have been nominated by Association québécoise de líndustrie du disque (ADISQ) in 2006 and 2007 for the Quebec hip-hop album of the year. He was featured in Caroline Néron's massive number 1 hit and music video "Colle-toi à moi" that also appeared in Néron's album Reprogrammée. Also notably, he appeared the same year in Lebanese-Canadian Karl Wolf's debut album Face Behind the Face being featured in one of Karl Wolf's earliest hits called "Hollow Girl". In 2008, he was featured alongside Othello in Chub-e Pelletier's hit "Burnout" and in Dialekt's "Calmly Rushed" alongside Carleone Brown and Vcx.

Ars Magna contains music intended for organ or clavichord: ten toccatas (subtitled Musicalische Blumen-Felder), eight Magnificat settings, and three variation sets. The music has clearly traceable Italian influences, with direct borrowings: one of the variation sets is built on a theme by Bernardo Pasquini, there is also a passage from Bernardo Storace in the Spangioletta variation set, and a verset by Alessandro Poglietti (quinti toni no. 3). The influence of contemporary southern organists is also apparent, particularly that of Georg Muffat and Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer. The toccatas are unusually short for the genre; most consist of three (toccata-fugue-toccata) sections.

Alternatim refers to a technique of liturgical musical performance, especially in relationship to the Organ Mass, but also to the Hymns, Magnificat and Salve regina traditionally incorporated into the Vespers and other liturgies of the Catholic Church. A specific part of the ordinary of the Mass (such as the Kyrie and the Gloria) would be divided into versets. Each verset would be performed antiphonally by two groups of singers, giving rise to polyphonic settings of half of the text. One of these groups may alternatively have consisted of a soloist, a group of instruments, or organ.

At the age of 18 Claudel discovered Arthur Rimbaud's book of poetry, Illuminations, and underwent a sudden conversion to Catholicism. Together these two events would have a profound effect on him, leading to work towards 'the revelation through poetry, both lyrical and dramatic, of the grand design of creation' All his writings are passionate rejections of the idea of a mechanical or random universe, instead proclaiming the deep spiritual meaning of human life founded on God's all-governing grace and love. Claudel wrote in a unique verse style. He rejected traditional metrics in favour of long, luxuriant, unrhymed lines of free verse, the so-called verset claudelien, influenced by the Latin psalms of the Vulgate.
