Anthony Street veers off to the left, Orange Street is to the right, and Cross Street runs left to right in the foreground. The dilapidated tenement buildings to the left of Anthony Street were torn down in 1832 as far back as Little Water Street, and the vacant, triangular lot that was left became known as "Paradise Square". For the first two centuries of European settlement in Manhattan, the main source of drinking water for the growing city was Collect Pond, or Fresh Water Pond, which also supplied abundant fish., p. 250.
On the way home, his publicist calls him to arrange more parties to increase his exposure. Since he was already drunk after leaving his party and continues to drink on the way home, he veers off the road and crashes into a construction site. Suddenly surrounded by a carnival-like light tunnel, he sees hallucinations of his young son David, who died a few years earlier from cancer. His son enthusiastically claims that he is all right and that Sol should let God's love fill him, proclaiming "Let there be light!" as Dr. Harkens comes out of unconsciousness.
Lost in Space is an American science fiction television series and is a reimagining of the 1965 series of the same name (itself a reimagining of the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson), following the adventures of a family of space colonists whose spaceship veers off course. Produced by Legendary Television, Synthesis Entertainment, Clickety-Clack Productions, and Applebox Entertainment, the show is written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, with Zack Estrin serving as showrunner. Netflix released the series on April 13, 2018, renewing it the following month for a second season. The second season premiered on December 24, 2019.
U.S. Route 460 Business (US 460 Business) is a business route of Nottoway and Blackstone, Virginia. US 460 Bus. eastbound in Blackstone The route begins at an unusual half-diamond/trumpet interchange onto a street called "Old Nottoway Road" which immediately runs over a bridge over a Norfolk and Western Railroad line southeast of the eastbound on-and-off-ramps of US 460. After the shared intersection with Brick Kiln Lane and Carson Lane, a secondary route veers off to the south named SR 625 (West Courthouse Road), which leads to the historic Nottoway County Courthouse.
This energy forms mesoscale eddies which extend offshore. The CTZ has three distinct regions within its boundaries: # high chlorophyll-a concentrations in wide regions off the coast of Peru (10–15°S), # high chlorophyll-a concentrations in wide regions off the coast of Chile (30°S), and # high chlorophyll-a concentrations in narrow regions off the coast of northern Chile (Montecino and Lange 2008). High chlorophyll-a concentrations are generally found within 50 km of the coast. The limb of the HCS that veers off the coast of Peru creates a decrease in ventilation within the system.
A woman (Emelie Garbers) works on board the Aniara, a luxurious spaceship that takes passengers from Earth to Mars in three weeks. Her job involves working as a "Mimarobe" within the Mima, a machine designed to evoke viewers' experiences of Earth's lush, verdant past in a way that is indistinguishable from reality. In the first week of Aniara's voyage the ship suddenly veers off course after a collision with space debris. The maneuver means that the Aniara loses its fuel, though the captain promises the passengers and crew they will be able to turn around in no more than two years.
Before US 27-301-441 enters Ocala, it veers off to the left at an intersection with County Road Old 441 (Southeast Lake Weir Avenue), a former segment of US 441 that eventually leads to Ocala Union Station. The first major intersection after this is 31st Street. Then it crosses under a railroad bridge before reaching the City Limits and the intersections with the northern terminus of CR 475 and crossing SR 464 (17th Street). US 27-301-441 intersects with SR 200 (becoming the new hidden state road until US 301 reaches US 1-23).

Vimes finds himself pressured by Lord Vetinari to solve the murder quickly, before inter-species war erupts in Ankh-Morpork. Vimes and Sergeant Angua visit the dwarves' under- city mine, where a nervous dwarf named Helmclever draws a mysterious sign in the spilled coffee on his desk. In a fit of his particular brand of omnidirectional anger, Vimes veers off into the mine where he cuts himself, he supposes, on a locked door. Later, he persuades the deep down dwarves to allow Captain Carrot to be the "smelter" who looks for the truth of the murder.
Interstate 90 Business is a business loop of Interstate 90 in Wall. It begins at a diamond interchange at exit 109 at Airport Road (signed as West 4th Avenue). Less than one block after the interchange, BL 90 veers off to the right onto South Boulevard (former US 14 and 16), running southeast, while Airport Road turns into West Fourth Avenue after a landing strip and heads towards the famous Wall Drug Store and other local tourist attractions. South Boulevard passes a local high school before becoming a divided highway and crossing the former Chicago and Northwestern Railway line.
The film opens in July 1912, with a traveling salesman being chased onto a train just about to depart. As the train gets underway, the salesmen on the train get into a rhythmic conversation about credit that veers off to discussion of the con man 'Professor' Harold Hill ("Rock Island"). After the train arrives in River City, Iowa, 'Professor' Harold Hill (Robert Preston) reveals himself to the others on the train before getting off, ready to swindle the famously stubborn citizens ("Iowa Stubborn"). Masquerading as a band instructor, Hill plans to con the townspeople into paying him to create a boys' marching band.
Near the center of Bath, the route veers off East Morris Street and onto East Steuben Street, a parallel street one block to the north serving more commercial areas of the village. After five blocks, NY 415 turns northward onto Liberty Street, which carries the route for another two village blocks to the downtown portion of the village. Here, NY 415 meets NY 54, which switches from West Washington Street to Liberty Street at this point. NY 415 turns west here, overlapping with NY 54 along West Washington Street, a two-lane street serving mixed-use areas.
As a result of his intentional isolation from the Parisian musical trends of the time, Durosoir's compositions have a unique character. While not outwardly programmatic, they are often preceded by some verses of poetry which serve as a threshold into his highly personal world of expression. His style is a lean and spare one that is marked by solid construction, sudden contrasts and avoidance of gratuitous ornament. Tonal with a harmonic palette enriched by non-chord tones and altered scales, the music shows a strong need for resolution that occasionally veers off toward regions of atonality.
Set in London, the film opens with American best-selling author Catherine Tramell in a speeding car with her companion, Kevin Franks, a famous English football (soccer / rugby) star. Tramell takes the man's hand and begins masturbating herself with it, all the while increasing her vehicle's speed. At the point of orgasm, Tramell veers off the road and crashes into the West India Docks in Canary Wharf on the Thames River. She attempts to save her partner but, as she says while being questioned later by the police, "When it came down to it, I guess my life was more important to me than his".
Between there it runs in front of the Gadsden County Courthouse and a block later at Madison Street, passes the former routing of SR 12\. US 90 and SR 12 head east out of the city and at SR 269, SR 12 turns north off the US 90 concurrency. At Quincy Municipal Airport and East King Street (the former routing of SR 12), SR 269 ends and SR 12 turns east onto Havana Highway. The road veers off to the right at the southern terminus of CR 161 (Point Milligan Road) where a small gas station can be found at the fork between the two roads.
She races after the carriage, and when she tries to block the carriage in the road, it veers off track and topples down a steep hill, killing both father and daughter. André finds Sabine in the grip of this memory, evoked by her conversation with the ladies of the court and her intense night with him, and he convinces her to stop blaming herself for their deaths. When Sabine's project is complete, the king and his court arrive for its inauguration. To the music of a hidden orchestra, everyone begins dancing as the fountains send water coursing down the tiers around the ballroom floor.
Due to Kenny's erratic driving, the RV veers off the highway and a tarantula, hiding in a bowl of fruit given to them when they picked up the marijuana, crawls up Kenny's leg and bites his testicle. As Kenny has a severe allergic reaction to the bite, the Millers head to the hospital. This further delays the delivery of the drugs, but David renegotiates with Gurdlinger for a fee of $500,000 on the condition that it arrives that night after mentioning on how he encountered Pablo Chacon. When Kenny is finally released, David rushes him to the RV in a wheelchair and accidentally tips him over.
The path then passes through in Venice Beach. The Class 1 bicycle path ends at the Venice Fishing Pier and riders must continue on the Class 2 bicycle path along Washington Boulevard. The Class 2 path eventually veers off of Washington Boulevard and takes riders around Marina Del Rey until it reaches a Class 1 path running alongside the main channel of the marina, an extension of the Ballona Creek bicycle path. Looking North up bicycle trail from South Hermosa Beach This is the bike path looking west at Admiralty Way and Fiji Way, where it once again becomes a Class 2 bike lane.
When approaching the Center station, one tram veers off from the main guideway into the bypass, allowing the two trams to pass each other. The bypass reconnects to the main portion of the guideway beyond the center station. Operating software attempts to keep the trams synchronized, so that the trams arrive at the Center Station simultaneously, but this is not essential. In the event that trams lose synchronization, as is frequently the case with passenger induced delays, the first tram to arrive at the Center station will be held until the opposite tram enters the bypass area, providing a clear path for the waiting tram.
Menard sends them back to his mansion in order to fetch his wife, where they discover Paola's corpse being eaten by zombies. The group fends off an attack and escapes in a jeep, with West suffering an ankle injury when the vehicle veers off-road. Resting in a jungle clearing, the group realize they have encountered a Conquistador-era graveyard; Barrett is killed when one of the corpses rises from the earth and bites out her throat. As more corpses reanimate, the group flees to the local hospital, where Menard explains that the dead are rising as a result of a voodoo curse which he has been trying to stop.
Junction Hollow is a small wooded valley bordering the west flanks of Schenley Park and the campus of Carnegie Mellon University and the southern edge of the University of Pittsburgh's campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The valley runs south to north approximately . It begins where Four Mile Run empties into the Monongahela River and runs through the neighborhood of Four Mile Run north into Oakland along Schenley Park, Carnegie Mellon, and the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, and ends at Neville Street behind Central Catholic High School. Junction Hollow is often confused for Panther Hollow, which at Panther Hollow Lake veers off from it to the northeast into the park.
Mr. Silla & Mongoose is an Icelandic band consisting of fellow students Sigurlaug Gísladóttir and Magnús B. Skarphéðinsson. The two met while studying visual arts at Iceland Academy of the Arts but did not form a band until after they had collaborated on their respective solo sets during Iceland Airwaves at a café by the name of Kaffi Hljómalind (also referenced in fellow Icelandic band Sigur Rós song named Hljómalind). The music performed by Mr. Silla & Mongoose can be appropriately placed in the electronic and experimental genres but in some songs also veers off vocally in the direction of blues. The instrumentation includes music sequencers, mandolin, drums and brass.
Leaving the town, the old yellow school buses that are the mainstay of Nicaraguan travel, move along the Pan American Highway for 10 km until reaching La Sirena. At this point the bus to Limay veers off toward “Hermanos Cruces” where the route becomes a rutted, rocky, sometimes muddy, at times impassable stretch of road across the Estelí plateau. This portion of the journey stretches for 37 km toward the regions of El Pino and San Luis. At this high elevation one can see what is left of the pine groves, fields of grain are visible across the mountainsides and behind in the distance the city of Estelí.
Cold Case Hammarskjöld is a 2019 documentary film by Danish film maker Mads Brügger. It depicts the death of Dag Hammarskjöld in the 1961 Ndola United Nations DC-6 crash and proposes a theory that a white supremacist organization attempted to spread HIV/AIDS among black Africans. The film investigates the possibility that Hammarskjöld's plane, which crashed in Northern Rhodesia, was shot down by Belgian-British mercenary pilot Jan van Risseghem. After unsuccessful attempts to conclusively prove that theory, the film veers off to investigate the mysterious mercenary organization South African Institute for Maritime Research (SAIMR), managing to contact two new witnesses that claim to have been involved with the organization.
Discussing his first feature TEN, he noted, "We really wanted to expand typical characterization themes of using shortcuts and stereotypes to touch on the broader narrative of the film. Because the film is about the arbitrary meaninglessness of identity, we wanted to recontextualize the film itself repeatedly by shifting tone and genre." Michael Gingold of Fangoria described TEN saying, "it veers off in directions you likely won't see coming, both in narrative terms and in the way it explores questions of female identity.” Lauren Shiro of Curve wrote, "the movie takes on a political and sociological stance, examining stereotypes, identity, and also the subtext and themes behind story lines.
The surroundings of the route are primarily wooded with occasional breaks of private property, but then runs along the northeast shore of Hampton Lake. Once it leaves the vicinity of the lake, County Road 18 is named Navarre Avenue and then has a major intersection with US 301 in Hampton. Within that city, CR 18 has a concurrency with CR 221, and then has an at-grade crossing with the CSX Wildwood Subdivision, which is part of the S-Line, and carried Amtrak's Silver Star/Palmetto line until November 2004. Later, it has an intersection with the northern terminus of CR 325, just before CR 221 veers off to the left, heading northeast back to US 301.
Maijishan is located close to the east–west route that connects Xi'an with Lanzhou and eventually Dunhuang, as well as the route that veers off to the south that connects Xi'an with Chengdu in Sichuan and regions as far south as India. At this crossroads, several of the sculptures in Maijishan from around the 6th century appear to have Indian—and SE Asian—features that could have come north via these north–south routes. The earliest artistic influence came, however, from the northwest, through Central Asia along the Silk Road. Later, during the Song and Ming Dynasties, as the caves were renovated and repaired, the influences came from central and eastern China and the sculpture is more distinctly Chinese.
Kellan Miller of XXL felt that the song intended to be "a hit-to-oliberate-all-other-hits- forever-and-ever-amen", but ultimately was "a fourth quarter Hail Mary pass at best." In his review, Miller added, "Instead of remaining steadfast to the shimmer that made the early offerings bright spots, Iggy veers off course in an all too contrived effort to meet the quota of her colossal ambition." Gigwise's Alexandra Pollard criticized the track's similarities with "Dark Horse" and dismissed Perry for repeating her "tried-and-tested-formula". StarGate's involvement was panned by Alfred Soto of Spin, who said the song's hook was borrowed from the duo's previous production for Barbadian recording artist Rihanna's "Hate That I Love You" (2007).
Newbattle Viaduct prior to refurbishment, May 2000 The line begins at Newcraighall South Junction where the track veers off the former Waverley Route to a parallel alignment just to the west which crosses over the former Monktonhall Colliery, part of the Midlothian Coalfield. The first of three double-track dynamic loops begins here and continues for to King's Gate Junction just beyond the Edinburgh Bypass. The new alignment - some to the south-west of the original route - avoids new roads and mining subsidence on the Waverley Route trackbed through Millerhill, whilst also serving new housing at Shawfair. There is a maximum speed limit on the Shawfair loop of , with restrictions of at the northern entrance to the loop and at King's Gate.
From there, the highway veers off in a northeasterly direction into Washakie County. From the Washakie county line, the highway travels approximately before crossing the Big Horn River into Worland where it joins US 16/US 20\. Upon crossing into Big Horn County, US 16/US 20/WYO 789 veer back to the northwest and cross back over the Big Horn River after reaching Manderson. It continues on to the north through Basin and Greybull. Upon reaching Greybull, US 16/US 20/WYO 789 head west and join US 14 for about . At that point, WYO 789 separates from the concurrency of US 14/US 16/US 20 and returns to its northern path along with US 310 for about to the town of Lovell.
After SR 12 veers off to the right from Coleman Road it enters the City of Greensboro and then crosses an Apalachicola Northern Railroad line before curving back to the same direction. Within downtown Greensboro, SR 12 turns right at Selman Street joining a brief concurrency with CR 270. Three and a half blocks later CR 270 turns north onto Tolar White Road and SR 12 continues as Selman Street. The last non-local street in Greensboro is the western terminus of CR 274 (Providence Road). From there, SR 12 is named Greensboro Highway, which crosses a bridge over Telogia Creek at Shepards Pond, and shortly after this curves to the northeast to become a four-lane divided highway for the diamond interchange with Interstate 10 (I-10) at exit 174.
To the west of this intersection is the Santos Trail System trailhead of the Cross Florida Greenway. Before US 27-301-441 enters Ocala, it veers off to the left at an intersection with County Road 464A (Southeast Lake Weir Avenue), a former segment of US 441 that eventually leads to Ocala Union Station. The highway reaches the heart of Ocala at the intersection with SR 40 (West Silver Springs Boulevard).
As expected the first streets to intersect US 90 are local ones of little importance until it reaches the southwestern terminus of Honey Lake Road, then curves southeast to cross a bridge over the Little Aucilla River, an eastern tributary of the Aucilla River. The road then tries to curve more to the east as it passes by Pellis Springs Road and later Hensey Cemetery. The CSX Tallahassee Subdivision encounters US 90 once again between Northwest First Avenue and moves away from it again before the intersection with Northwest Tenth Loop before the road enters Greenville. Grand Street veers off to the right to move closer to the tracks, but it also serves as the means of getting to Grand Avenue which follows the tracks throughout the town.
The book begins by telling the reader about how two members of The Plumbers are preparing to break into the office of a psychiatrist named Lewis J. Fielding, in an attempt to dig up dirt on his former clients, Daniel Ellsberg, and hopefully ruin his reputation. Like a few other books by Sheinkin, it then backtracks many years, telling the reader why the government would be inclined to do such a thing. The book explains how Ellsberg got a job at the RAND Corporation, how he left to work at The Pentagon, how the Pentagon Papers were created, how Ellsberg became an anti- war advocate, and how Ellsberg accessed and released the Pentagon Papers. It often veers off Ellsberg, and tells the reader what was happening in the White House before and during the Vietnam War.
Jaws also has an uncanny ability to survive any misfortune seemingly unscathed and come back to challenge Bond again. In The Spy Who Loved Me, Jaws survives an Egyptian structure's collapse on top of him, being hit by a van, being thrown from a rapidly moving train, sitting in the passenger seat of a car which veers off a cliff in Sardinia and lands in a hut below (to the owner's dismay), a battle underwater with a shark and the destruction of Stromberg's lair. In Moonraker, he survives falling several thousand feet after accidentally disabling his own parachute (he falls through a circus tent and lands in the trapeze net), a crash through a building inside a runaway cable car (where he meets Dolly) and going over Iguazu Falls. After each of these incidents (except the last), he always picks himself up, dusts off his jacket, straightens his tie (in much the same way as Bond himself) and nonchalantly walks away.
The old road is encountered again under a bridge over the CSX P&A; Subdivision, and after becoming the northern terminus of CR 89 thus eliminating the hidden SR 89 concurrency, it then runs parallel to the old road as well as the P&A; Subdivision on the north side. All three roads (US 90/SR 78, Old SR 1, and the P&A; line) run relatively straight northeast to southwest from that point on. Right after Peter Prince Field, the concurrency with SR 87 ends as that route turns south toward Navarre Beach, while the other routes continue in the same direction, with only random local intersections. A street which would seem to be a former segment of US 90, but isn't known as Goodrange Drive veers off to the southeast in Harold, while US 90 turns at a more northeasterly angle where it encounters Deaton Bridge Road which leads to Blackwater River State Park after passing by the Harold Nolf Heliport.
Narrated in four parts, the novel describes Watt's journey to, and within, Mr Knott's house, where he becomes the reclusive owner's manservant, replacing Arsene, who delivers a long valedictory monologue at the end of section one. In section two Watt struggles to make sense of life at Mr Knott's house, experiencing deep anxiety at the visit of the piano-tuning Galls, father and son, and a mysteriously language- resistant pot, among other incidents. In section three, which has a narrator called Sam, Watt is in confinement, his language garbled almost beyond recognition, while the narrative veers off on fantastical tangents such as the story of Ernest Louit's account, to a committee at Beckett's old university, Trinity College, Dublin, of a research trip in the West of Ireland. The shorter fourth section shows Watt arriving at the railway station from which, in the novel's skewed chronology, he sets out on a journey to the institution he has already reached in section three.
A few miles further on, at SUNY Buffalo's city campus, US 62 intersects Main Street (NY 5) at the northeast corner of the city and enters the town of Amherst. US 62 southbound from NY 104 in Niagara Falls Less than a mile beyond Main, Grover Cleveland Highway (NY 263) veers off to the northeast. US 62 continues north through heavily suburban territory to the junction with Sheridan Drive (NY 324), a major commercial strip across Buffalo's northern suburbs, where it leaves Bailey Avenue and heads west for a half-mile (0.8 km) to another major junction, Niagara Falls Boulevard, at the Amherst–Tonawanda town line, where it turns north again, following the Boulevard (as it is locally known) past Boulevard Mall at the junction with Maple and Brighton Roads, then through another commercial strip to I-290. North of the expressway, the road becomes less heavily developed. At the Ellicott Creek crossing, some signs for the former NY 356 are still visible.
And these are the women Guido has loved, and from whom he has derived the entire vitality of a creative life, now as stalled as his marriage. In an attempt to find some peace and save the marriage, they go to a spa near Venice (Spa Music), where they are immediately hunted down by the press with intrusive questions about the marriage and—something Guido had not told Luisa about—his imminent film project (Not Since Chaplin). As Guido struggles to find a story for his film, he becomes increasingly preoccupied—his interior world sometimes becoming indistinguishable from the objective world (Guido's Song). His mistress Carla arrives in Venice, calling him from her lonely hotel room (A Call from the Vatican), his producer Liliane La Fleur, former vedette of the Folies Bergeres, insists he make a musical, an idea which itself veers off into a feminine fantasy of extraordinary vividness (The Script/Folies Bergeres).
At this point it bends eastward again and goes down Glenerie Falls, a series of five cascades that drop over the course of the next of stream, Below Glenerie Falls, the Esopus, now below a hundred feet (30 m) in elevation, again turns north, paralleling U.S. Route 9W for a mile through a narrow, steep valley. After Glasco Turnpike (Ulster County Route 32) crosses, Route 9W veers off to the northeast, away from the stream, while the Esopus continues north through its narrow wooded gorge, for the next three miles (4.8 km). Development around the stream is limited to a quarry on the east a mile downstream of the bridge, and then a dead-end residential street on the west bank during the last of the three miles; the Esopus Bend Nature Preserve buffers the east bank. alt=A brick building with yellow wooden trim and a pointed roof with a chimney and weather instruments on the roof.
As Amedeo's small auto, unable to withstand the long journey, breaks down, they push and pull into a town and try to sell it in an Italian-speaking neighborhood, but run into some hostile local Italians who force Carmela into their car and drive away with her while Amedeo hangs on to their door handle, as the car veers off into a ditch and flips on its side. Shaken but unhurt, they go off to board a train, but when he has another malarial attack during a station stop and she rushes off the train to get help, it pulls out, leaving her behind. Seeing no other recourse, she decides to briefly take up her former profession in order to earn enough for continuing the journey. Now on her own, she takes a later train and, as it stops at the small town of Menindee, she sees Amedeo waiting at the station.
At a dirt road named Columbus Street, the name of State Road 69 changes from Porter Street to Spurlock Road, but after two other dirt roads State Road 69 curves northwest from Spurlock Road, which becomes a dirt road, and the route has no official name other than State Road 69. Around Dellwood the power lines that run along the road branch off to the right onto a former section of the road before the intersection of Bateau Pond Road, and then the route intersects Messer Road, just before the intersection of County Road 164 (Blue Springs Road/Sweet Pond Road), an unfinished county road that spans from southwestern Jackson County to Chattahoochee State Park in Alabama. North of the intersection of Northside Church Road, the power lines return to the street. After three more random intersections with dirt roads, the route enters the farming community of Two Egg just under where that previously mentioned power line branches off onto its own right-of-way, and after this the southern terminus of County Road 69A (Wintergreen Road) veers off to the right and State Road 69 adopts the name Fort Road.
It then crosses a pair of bridges over Pond Creek, where it passes by Mayo Park.Mayo Park (Santa Rosa County Official Site) Just east of the intersection with Glover Lane, Old US 90, a former segment of US 90 veers off to the right, but it is only a local street. The rest of the area is surrounded by portions of city territory, which becomes more widespread as it approaches the southern terminus of SR 89 (Dogwood Drive), but also has a hidden concurrency with SR 89 east of there. A far more visible concurrency exists later on when the road curves back to the east where it meets the intersection with SR 87, the eastern corners of which also includes the intersection of the Blackwater Heritage State Trail.Welcome to Blackwater Heritage State Trail (Florida State Parks; including map) From this point on the road narrows down to two lanes as it runs through the Milton Historic District, an area that has been on the National Register of Historic Places since November 12, 1987 and also includes an intersection with CR 191, which contains the east end of Old US 90\.
