This expanded the championships to include ten or more manufacturers instead of the previous five and six. Palttala's best seasons came in 2011 and 2012 in the Blancpain Endurance Series, where he finished 2nd in the championship each year, driving for Marc VDS Racing Team. Palttala drove in the Le Mans Endurance Series for various teams from 2005 until 2010. In the 2010 season, he won the GT1 class at the 1000 km of Spa and participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Gun armament was two twin gun turrets in "A" and "Y" positions which were controlled by a single radar director. Anti-submarine armament consisted of four RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launchers and a launcher for anti- submarine torpedoes. Some of the ships designed for export replaced the 406 mm torpedo tubes with anti-shipping torpedo tubes. A comprehensive sonar suite including VDS was fitted.
Morbidelli moved up the MotoGP class in 2018 still with the Marc VDS team on the Honda bike. He was partnered by his 2017 Moto2 title rival Lüthi. He finished the season in 15th place and as rookie of the year, just ahead of Hafizh Syahrin on the Tech3 Yamaha, while his Lüthi failed to score a single point that season on the same machinery.

Stef Dusseldorp returns with Hexis while Frédéric Makowiecki arrives from Marc VDS Racing; there are also GT1 newcomers Grégoire Demoustier and Mclaren factory driver Álvaro Parente.
In 2011, Martin teamed with Frédéric Makowiecki to win 4 races, including both rounds at Ordos. Between 2011 and 2013 Martin raced in the Blancpain Endurance Series mainly driving a BMW Z4 GT3 also for the Marc VDS Racing Team. His best result came in 2012, where he finished runner-up together with his teammates Bas Leinders and Markus Palttala. In 2014 Martin made his debut in the DTM championship for BMW.
Marc VDS took the GT1 pole in their first Le Mans Series event, racing a Ford GT they also use in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship season. They qualified 1.5 seconds ahead of the next nearest GT1 car, a Ford GT also used by fellow GT1 World Championship contenders and LMS débutants Matech Competition. AF Corse once again took the GT2 pole but only by 0.08 seconds over Team Felbermayr-Proton.
Joan Olivé Márquez (born 22 November 1984 in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain) is a former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He has competed in the 125cc, 250cc, Moto2 and Moto3 World championships since he started to race professionally in the 2001 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. After retiring from racing, he became the test/replacement rider for KTM's Moto3 project. In early 2019, Olivé was appointed team manager of the Marc VDS Racing team.
Luyendyk's services were retained for 1991 (he won earlier in the season at Phoenix), and RCA sponsored the fledgling entry car at Indy. John Andretti joined the newly rebooted Hall-VDS team, taking over the Pennzoil sponsorship. Andretti kicked off the season by winning his first (and only) career CART race at the season opener, the Gold Coast Grand Prix at Surfers Paradise. Al Unser, Jr. and Bobby Rahal returned together at Galles/KRACO Racing.

As a result of his success in the Superstock championship, Morbidelli earned a place as a replacement rider for Gresini in 3 rounds of the Moto2 championship. He joined the Moto2 class full-time in 2014 with the Italtrans Racing Team and outscored his more experienced teammate and former 125cc Champion Julián Simón. He stayed with the team in 2015 and got his first podium finish at the Indianapolis Grand Prix. In 2016, he joined the Marc VDS Racing Team, partnering Álex Márquez.
For 2019, as Marc VDS left the premier class, Morbidelli signed with the newly- formed Petronas SRT team on a two-year deal. He would ride an "A-spec" satellite Yamaha alongside rookie Fabio Quartararo. With 115 points, he finished 10th in the riders' championship. Just before the delayed start to the 2020 season, Petronas SRT announced that Morbidelli had been signed on a further two-year deal, meaning he stays with the team until at least the end of 2022.
At the end of 1994, de Ferran was invited to test a CART by Hall/VDS Racing. Despite the worries of the team's sponsor Pennzoil that de Ferran was not famous enough name for their car, the team was sufficiently impressed to offer de Ferran a drive for 1995. With no top-line Formula One drive available de Ferran took up the offer to drive in America. De Ferran won the rookie of the year award in 1995 by finishing 14th.

Team LCR is a motorcycle racing team currently competing in the MotoGP World Championship under the name LCR Honda. The team was founded in 1996 by Italian rider Lucio Cecchinello. In 2015, they were represented by British rider Cal Crutchlow on a factory-specification Honda RC213V bike, and Australian rookie Jack Miller, riding an open-specification Honda RC213V-RS. However, the team downgraded to a single bike for Crutchlow in 2016, as Miller moved to the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Team.

Marquez edged away in the final laps towards victory, leaving Kallio and de Angelis to fight for second.
At the end of the season Porsche withdrew from Indy car racing so Fabi moved to the World Sportscar Championship in 1991 and won the championship. In 1992 Fabi drove at the ITT Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit at Belle Isle Park to substitute for Mario Andretti who suffered injuries at the Indianapolis 500. He drove for Newman-Haas Racing in their No. 2 Texaco Havoline/K Mart Lola T92/00-Ford Cosworth XB. He qualified third and finished sixth. Fabi moved to Hall VDS Racing for 1993 in the No. 8 Pennzoil Lola T93/00-Ilmor-Chevrolet Indy V8 265C, achieving a best finish of fourth at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. After the race Fabi was third in points, 10 points out of the lead behind Nigel Mansell and Mario Andretti. At the Indianapolis 500 Fabi started seventeenth and finished ninth. After Long Beach his best finish was sixth, at the Marlboro 500, at Michigan International Speedway. Fabi ended up eleventh with 64 points. For 1994 Fabi drove for the re-organized Hall Racing (VDS Racing withdrew from the team following 1993) in the No. 11 Pennzoil Reynard 94i-Ilmor Indy V8.

As a stop gap measure, Russian Bronza (MG-345) hull mounted sonars are installed. Information released from the Severnoye Design Bureau (SDB) indicate that French towed array sonars (TAS) are also fitted. This is very plausible given that many Indian Navy ships now use French TAS, however INS Talwar shows no signs of such a system. The vessel may also have a Russian SSN-137 Variable Depth Sonar (VDS) with NATO reporting name Steer Hide, providing active search with medium frequency, and the sonar might be license produced in India with Indian designation SSSN-113.

Accordingly, the Marc VDS Racing Team decided to concentrate solely on two-wheeled motorsports.
They also fielded two cars in 2011, when the best lineup finished 19th in the standings with two wins. Prospeed returned to the 2011 24 Hours of Spa also with two Porsche 911 cars: a Pro entry headlined by Goossens and a Pro-Am, both of which retired. The team failed to finish the first round at the 12 Hours of Sebring, but rebounded by overtaking the polesitting Dyson Racing car at Long Beach to take the win. The team went on to win again at Mosport, Mid-Ohio and Road America and finished the season in second place in the LMP1 category behind Dyson Racing. With Aston Martin Racing switching to their new car, the AMR-One for the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans, a B09/60 was entered by Kronos Racing in cooperation with fellow Belgian outfit Marc VDS Racing Team.
The 2014 Moto2 season was a part of the 66th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Pol Espargaró was the reigning series champion, but did not contest the season as he joined the series' premier class, MotoGP. Scoring a record tally of points for the intermediate class, with 346, Marc VDS Racing Team rider Esteve Rabat wound up as the series champion, finishing 57 points clear of his teammate Mika Kallio. Rabat also set records for pole positions with 11, and tied the record for podiums with 14 – including 7 wins – matching Marc Márquez in the campaign.
Defending NZ. Listener, Sept 1982 Southland received a five-month, $15 million refit at Vosper Thornycroft after recommissioning on 18 July 1983 as HMNZS Southland. During the refit the Limbo mortar and VDS were removed as were the associated 170 and 199 sonars, while US Mk 32 torpedo tubes for anti-submarine torpedoes were fitted. The refit was completed in late December 1983 and over the following months, Southland had several workups at Portland and participated in a number of Royal Navy and NATO exercises before sailing for New Zealand in mid-1984. An earlier already had historical links with Southland.
On 22 August 2018, it was confirmed that Vierge would sign for EG 0,0 Marc VDS for the 2019 season, partnering Álex Márquez, the younger brother of Marc Márquez. Vierge replaced Joan Mir, who moved up to MotoGP with Suzuki. His place at Dynavolt Intact GP was taken by Thomas Lüthi, who returned to Moto2 after one season in the premier class. In the opening race in Qatar, also the first race with the new Triumph 765cc triple engines, Vierge qualified in second, took the lead at the start, but then fell back to tenth place at the end of the race.

On 7 November 2010, it had been announced that Kallio would move down a category to Moto2, teaming up with the Suter-run Marc VDS Racing Team alongside British rider Scott Redding for . The season proved to be a difficult one for himself and the team as both Kallio and Redding struggled for results on board the Suter. Mika's opening half of 2011 saw just a single points scoring finish in the first 9 races. However, the second half of the season saw results steadily improve, as the Finn racked up points in eight of the final nine races.
Silverstone in particular produced a hard-fought final lap showdown between himself and Rabat for victory, but ultimately Rabat won the battle of the teammates. It would prove to be the decisive moment in the championship, as the momentum swung towards Rabat in the final third of the season. On 1 September 2014, Marc VDS announced Álex Márquez would join the team in 2015 alongside Rabat, leaving Kallio to seek employment elsewhere for next season. Try as he might, Kallio pressed on and secured his third pole position at Misano, but once again come race day had to settle for second behind Rabat.
The 1984 Can Am season was the seventeenth running of the Sports Car Club of America's prototype series, and the eighth running of the revived series. 1984 would mark a major downturn in the series, as Juan Manuel Fangio II would become the last major driver to podium in a Can Am Series race, finishing third at Dallas. The dominant manufacturers were Chevrolet, Hart, BMW for the first time with a third-place finish at Brainerd, Cosworth, Lola, Ralt, and March. Dominant chassis were VDS, March, Frissbee-Lola, Ralt, and Williams with their first podium with a third-place finish at Lime Rock.
This race also saw Michelin take over from Bridgestone as MotoGP's official tyre supplier, returning for the first time since the 2008 Valencian Grand Prix. The 2015 Total Spa 24 Hours was the 67th running of the Spa 24 Hours. It was also the fourth round of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series season and was held on 25 and 26 July at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. The race was won by BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS and drivers Nick Catsburg, Lucas Luhr and Markus Palttala. The trio's No. 46 BMW Z4 GT3 finished a lap clear of Audi Sport Team WRT and their No. 2 Audi R8 LMS ultra, driven by Nico Müller, Stéphane Ortelli and Frank Stippler.

Second rider Álex Márquez also managed three further wins, securing 4th place on the year. For 2018, Morbidelli was promoted to the MotoGP squad alongside his Moto2 runner-up Thomas Lüthi. Morbidelli was able to consistently finish in the low point-scoring positions, thus being crowned rookie of the year, but Lüthi failed to score a single point that season. The team finished second-to- last in the team's championship in 11th. During the course of the season, team leader Bartholemy left the team by “mutual agreement”, according to a Marc VDS statement, after reports in German media claimed he had been embezzling team funds.
The BT43 did not make a further appearance in 1974 until the last round (round 18) of the 1974 Championship again at Brands Hatch but this time on the Grand Prix circuit with Chris Craft in the cockpit. Qualifying 13th out of a field of 25 Craft finally registered a result for the BT43 by finishing 7th completing 34 laps one lap down on the final round winner Australian Vern Schuppan driving a Chevron B24/28 for Team VDS. Double points for this final round helped to boost Craft's personal points tally in the series to 67 to finish equal ninth with compatriot Brian Redman.
For the 2015 season, Márquez moved up to the Moto2 World Championship with the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS team and finished 14th in de standings. In 2016 Alex had a slightly better season and took his first Moto2 podium in the Aragon GP, ending the year in 13th. 2017 was a break through year for Alex Marquez as he won his first Moto2 race at the Spanish GP, ending a much more consistent season in 4th overall, followed up by another 4th place in 2018, despite not winning a race. Alex won the 2019 Moto2 world championship securing a double championship haul for the Marquez brothers.
An alternate defense is the provision of bicycle lockers or a bike cage in which the whole bicycle is locked, but these are uncommon in some countries. A bike locker is not a bicycle lock. Test standards that rate the effective security of bicycle locks are provided by Thatcham and Sold Secure in the United Kingdom, ART in the Netherlands, SSF in Sweden, and VDS in Germany. Defending Le Mans Series champions Quifel ASM Team were among two entries utilizing the Ginetta-Zytek chassis. A mixture of two types of car was entered in the GT1 category, coming either from the new sprint format of the FIA GT1 World Championship or from endurance racing in the Le Mans Series. Young Driver AMR represented the FIA GT1 Aston Martin, while two entries from Matech Competition and a single Marc VDS Racing Team entry brought the new Ford GT to Le Mans for the first time. One of Matech's entries featured a line-up of all Swiss women, the latest in a line of all-female crews at Le Mans.
However, a braking problem with the car resulting in a repair lasting at least two hours cost the team any chance of a class victory. Nevertheless, the MPB Racing Team's BMW still set the fastest lap in class. In addition to his outings with BMW Sports Trophy Team Studie, he joined BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS again for another running at the 24 Hours Nürburgring. However, a pit fire with his car cost the team 7 minutes, and by the end of the race Müller finished in an impressive 4th place (the sister car finished 2nd), with fellow works drivers Augusto Farfus, Nicky Catsburg, and Dirk Adorf.
When the joint Australian-New Zealand open- wheeler series, the Tasman Series was discontinued after the 1975 series, the four Australian former Tasman races became the Rothmans International Series. The series was run during February of each year from 1976 to 1979, with races at Sandown, Adelaide International Raceway, Oran Park and Surfers Paradise International Raceway. Future (1983) 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Vern Schuppan, driving for Theodore Racing, won the 1976 Rothmans International Series in a Lola T332-Chevrolet with the final round at Surfers Paradise being washed out. Former Tasman Series winner Warwick Brown won the 1977 and 1978 Rothmans titles driving the Lola for the VDS team.
For the teams which represented each of the six manufacturers, two privateers were selected by each manufacturer. During the launch of the FIA GT1 World Championship, Matech Concepts and VDS Racing Team announced their continuation with the Ford GT project. Hexis Racing of France also announced their intent to participate in the series with Aston Martin, joining fellow FIA GT3 European Championship competitor Fischer Racing which would participate under the Young Driver AMR title. Swiss Racing Team announced on 5 November that they would enter using the Nissan GT-R, to team alongside Sumo Power GT which replaced the departing 2009 development team of Gigawave Motorsport.
With Espargaro and Redding moving up to MotoGP, Kallio went into the 2014 Moto2 season as one of the pre-season favourites for the title. He was joined alongside Spanish rider Esteve Rabat for a fourth season at Marc VDS. His quest for the title began well, as he recovered from a nasty crash in Qualifying, to finish in third place at Qatar, but was later promoted to second, after Nakagami's bike was disqualified on technical grounds. Two solid points scoring races followed, before scoring his first pole position and race win of the season, at Circuito de Jerez, leading from start to finish.

The cruiser also utilises the Punch Bowl satellite link for its weapon targeting systems.
The vertical deflection (VD), also known as deflection of the plumb line and astro-geodetic deflection, at a point on the Earth is a measure of how far the gravity direction (plumb line) has been shifted by local mass anomalies such as nearby mountains. They are widely used in geodesy, for surveying networks and for geophysical purposes. The vertical deflection are the angular components between the true zenith (plumb line) and the line perpendicular to the surface of the reference ellipsoid chosen to approximate the Earth's sea- level surface. VDs are caused by mountains and by underground geological irregularities and can amount to angles of 10″ (flat areas) or 20–50″ (alpine terrain).
Livio Loi (born 27 April 1997 in Hasselt) is a Belgian professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He competed in the Moto3 World Championship in and the first half of the season for the Marc VDS Racing Team, before being replaced by Jorge Navarro. In 2015, Loi returned to the series with RW Racing GP. After scoring 15 points in the first half of the season, Loi achieved his first Grand Prix victory at Indianapolis; in a wet-to-dry race, Loi started the race on slick tyres, and finished almost 40 seconds clear of the next rider, John McPhee. In 2016, Loi continued with the same team and the same bike of 2015 season.
