Many Bosniaks have emigrated to Slovenia from their native Bosnia since the 1960s, primarily due to economic factors and chances for better employment. At the time, it was noted that most of the general Slovenian population looked down on their neighbors from other Yugoslav republics, but among others, Bosniaks and Serbs were the most disliked and unwelcomed. This mindset would continue well after the break-up of Yugoslavia, as Slovenia was the only member-country of the EU to oppose Croatia's EU bid, despite of the fact that Croats and Slovenes have historically shared the most cultural and traditional values than any other southern Slavic nations (such as the fact that they were the only predominant Catholic nations in the former Yugoslavia). Slovenians grouped Bosniaks with Serbians, Croatians and Macedonians.
In particular her installation and painting practice is known for its insightful ability to elicit Indigenous experience while examining the unwelcomed burden of Eurocentric educational, religious, and governmental systems that were forced upon Indigenous peoples. Throughout her artistic practice she has focused on the discursive and physical divide between museum artifacts the communities they originated from while taking into account the historical conditions that gave way to the removal of those artifacts from their communities. Sick of the stereotyping of the Indigenous representation she saw in galleries, she decided to start creating things that 'have a metaphorical jump' where the viewer can understand Indigenous issues in terms they can relate to within their own culture. Her installation work Preservation of the Species, directly critiqued the Museums power and authority and the way those institutions handle Indigenous artifacts and systematically control their message.

After seeing that Wallace would not step aside, Katzenbach called upon the assistance of President John F. Kennedy to force Wallace to permit the black students' entry into the university.Culpepper, Clark (1993), The Schoolhouse Door, Oxford University Press, p. 227.

Despite that in 1995, during the joint interview with Kerimova and Guliyeva, they claimed not to be rivals since the genres of music they performed were different, it is not a secret that the issues as "who would go on stage to perform first" or "who would record a song of popular composer before anyone else" were ones of the main causes of their enmity. Since Kerimova went on streets against newly elected Azerbaijani government in 2003, she became unwelcomed and later left her active musical career. However, as TV channels were inviting Kerimova to talk shows, she used to insult Guliyeva, naming her a "disgrace to the musical stage and art, as well as to the Azerbaijani nation".İlhamə Quliyeva səhnəyə, sənətə və millətə ləkədir Yet, while Guliyeva in her public and TV speeches held Kerimova in high esteem,İlhamə Quliyeva Flora Kərimova haqda danışdı Kerimova's attitude towards Guliyeva didn't change throughout time.
Historian Winifred Duke claimed "...the accepted idea of the Forty-Five in the minds of most people is a hazy and picturesque combination of a picnic and a crusade ... in cold reality, Charles was unwanted and unwelcomed." Modern commentators argue the focus on "Bonnie Prince Charlie" obscures the fact many of those who participated in the Rising did so because they opposed the Union, not the Hanoverians; this nationalist aspect makes it part of an ongoing political idea, not the last act of a doomed cause and culture. A History of Scotland for Boys and Girls by H. E. Marshall, published 1906 An example of this misplaced focus is the portrayal of the Jacobite Army as being largely composed of Gaelic-speaking Highlanders; as recently as 2013, the Culloden Visitors Centre listed Lowland regiments such as Lord Elcho's and Balmerino's Life Guards, Baggot's Hussars and Viscount Strathallan's Perthshire Horse as "Highland Horse". Although a significant proportion were Highlanders, the army included many Lowland units, limited numbers of English, and several hundred French and Irish regulars.
