An advantage to the drawer of using cheques instead of debit card transactions, is that they know the drawer's bank will not release the money until several days later.

WBLK went on the air on April 21, 1937. It was owned by the Exponent Company of Clarksburg and began its operations on 1370 kHz as a daytime-only station. Within months of signing on, however, the Federal Communications Commission approved the station's request to go unlimited time, saying that any interference to station WPAY would not be sufficient to deny the application. The station's base in the Robinson Grand Theater was devastated by a $350,000 fire on May 31, 1939; alert staffers saved equipment and transcriptions, and the station was back on the air within 45 minutes, using emergency studios at its transmitter site, to report news of the blaze, which endangered 20 firefighters.

Widespread copyright violation in Japan's predominantly personal-computer-based game rental market inspired corporations to petition the government to ban the rental of all video games in 1984. With games then being available only via full purchase, demand rose for a new and less expensive way to access more games. In 1986, as video gaming had increasingly expanded from computers into the video game console market, Nintendo advertised a promise to install 10,000 Famicom Disk Writer kiosks in toy and hobby stores across Japan within one year. These jukebox style stations allowed users to copy from a rotating stock of the latest games to their disks and keep each one for an unlimited time.

The Super Famicom version is similar to the Sega Mega Drive version, except there are more themes in addition to the medieval Europe theme. There is a futuristic theme with robots, a fast food theme with French fries and soft drinks attacking health food, a Three Kingdoms era theme, and a fairy-tale theme. The game is automatically paused until someone presses the Start button, so there is unlimited time for making alliances in the Super Famicom version—until the start button is pressed. This mode gives the player the advantage unlike the Sega Mega Drive version because he can take his time and find an ally that is strategically proper for him.

The report points out that on TIM's prepaid voice plan (24.7% market share), called "Infinity" (in which the user pays roughly US$0.12 for each unlimited time call), calls were intentionally dropped by the company which forced customers to make (and pay for) new calls to continue talking. In just one day, 8.1 million calls were dropped and the total profit was approximately US$2 million. Upon release of the report, the Public Ministry of the Paraná State filed a lawsuit against TIM asking that it stop selling new mobile lines in Brazil and pay a multimillion-dollar fine for the damages against consumers.

The Copper Electric Company received the construction permit for a new radio station in Bisbee at 1200 kHz on June 30, 1933.FCC History Cards for KBZB That October, after changing its call letters from the original assignment of KIGY, KSUN hit the air. It was the first radio station in Bisbee and Cochise County, and by 1935, one of just eight in the whole state. The station went to unlimited time in 1935, and a power increase to 250 watts followed the next year. In 1941, NARBA moved KSUN and other stations at 1200 to the new dial position of 1230 kHz. In 1936, an application was filed to transfer control of the Copper Electric Company from James S. Maffeo and Lawrence R. Jackson to Carleton W. Morris, who would go on to be a pioneer in Arizona broadcasting. It was not granted immediately, but in 1941, another application was. It would be the first of several radio stations for Morris.

In response, Cord secretly fled with his immediate family to the United Kingdom, the news of his fleeing would not be made known until a New York Times story that May 30, when a company associate only would say that Cord "would remain away for an indefinite period". The full reason for this sudden action was never truly disclosed. KFVD would be spun off to Standard Broadcasting Co. for $50,000 on July 15, 1936, and moved out of the dealership two years later. Cord divested his automotive holdings, which were merged into the Aviation Corporation in 1933, to separate interests in 1937 for $2.5 million. Starting in 1932, KFAC began broadcasting unlimited time through a series of authorizations under special temporary authority; this arrangement became permanent in January 1933 when the Federal Radio Commission (FRC) deleted KGEF's license over Shuler's controversial views, following a series of failed appeals. This would soon extend to 24-hour broadcasting for KFAC starting on March 8, 1935, joining KGFJ, which broadcast around the clock starting in 1927; both stations preceded WNEW in New York City, which started unlimited broadcasting that August 6.
