Find Me Again (2003), the second in the series, won an Edgar Award and was nominated in two categories for an Anthony Award. The third book in the series Season of Iron was published in 2006; it was nominated for a ReLit Award. In 2010, Warsh published The Queen of Unforgetting, set in Midland in the 1980s, which explores parallels between the tragic history of the Wyandot (Huron) people and the Holocaust.

Stratigakos is an internationally recognized scholar of diversity and equity in architecture. She has published widely on issues of diversity in architecture. Her 2013 Places Journal article, "Unforgetting Women Architects," on the neglect of women architects in history books and the need to include them in Wikipedia inspired the emergence of Wikipedia edit-a-thons focused on women in design. Stratigakos has also written about the lack of diversity in representations of architects in Hollywood films as well as among architecture’s elite prize winners.

Lovato has produced programming for NPR, Pacifica Radio, and Univision, where he helped develop and produce Hora Cero, one of the network's first documentary series about immigration in the United States. Before becoming a journalist, Lovato supported refugee and displaced communities in and from wartime El Salvador as the director of the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) in Los Angeles. He has been harassed and pursued for his beliefs and work on both sides of the border. His first book, the memoir, Unforgetting: A Memoir of Family, Migration, Gangs, and Revolution in the Americas, will be published in September 2020 from HarperCollins.

Photography, for example, is often used as a medium to communicate discoveries made in modern ruins as well as in contemporary archaeological sites in general since most of the artifacts are found above ground level. Modern ruins are often considered to be representative of accelerated rate of change, not only of their material and structural makeup or past purpose but also in many cases of society as a whole.. For example, Pyramiden, a former Soviet mining town located in the High Arctic, has frequently been a subject of archaeological study. Having over 1,000 inhabitants during its peak, Pyramiden was abandoned in 1998. Today, devoid of all humans, Pyramiden exists as a Soviet-era ghost town with the buildings and their contents remaining largely as they did when the town was inhabited. Elin Andreassen, Hein B. Bjerck, and Bjørnar Olsen, archaeologists who have studied Pyramiden, have written, “as a site of remembrance-or rather unforgetting-the memories it holds become inseparable from its materiality and from things’ unique ability to bring forth these memories.”.
