With a large emphasis on aircraft of World War One, it has been held since 2001. Seymour Square and Pollard Park are two of the town centres main attractions for walks and general tourism. Seymour Square is an open public area in the centre, containing the War Memorial and Clock Tower, unveiled in 1928, classified as a "Category I" ("places of 'special or outstanding historical or cultural heritage significance or value'") historic place by Heritage New Zealand.

Throughout the 1950s and much of the 1960s, a limited military service system by lottery was implemented in South Africa to comply with the needs of national defence. Around mid 1967 the National Party government established universal conscription for all white South African men as the SADF expanded to meet the growing insurgent threat. From January 1968 onwards there would be two yearly intakes of national servicemen undergoing nine months of military training. The air strike on Sacatxai also marked a fundamental shift in South African tactics, as the SADF had for the first time indicated a willingness to strike at SWALA on foreign soil.

It is founded on the World Health Organization holistic definition of health, which says health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. America's Health Rankings is a partnership of the United Health Foundation, and the American Public Health Association. America's Health Rankings releases two yearly reports, one on the health of the general population in the 50 US states plus a senior report on the population aged 65 and older in each state.

As a general rule any candidate for a position on a committee of the union must also be a workplace representative, in order to retain the connection with workplaces. However retired members may hold branch positions; until a rule change in 2005, retired members wishing to hold a position other than Branch Secretary needed the NEC's consent. A further exception is made for the equalities committees where a committee member is expected to be in employment but need not be a representative. Amicus conferences are organised on a two-yearly cycle with national Policy Conferences taking place in odd-numbered years, and sectoral, national equality and regional branch conferences being held in the intervening years.

A notice to settlers of Yonge Street from 1798, indicating their duties once they settled land granted to them In 1801, Timothy Rogers, from Danby Monthly Meeting in Vermont, had travelled up Yonge Street and found a fertile area where he thought he could create a new community that would unite Friends in Canada - until then split between two Yearly Meetings. He applied for and received a grant for land totalling 40 farms, each of , and subsequently returned to Vermont to recruit families to operate those farms. By February 1802, he had set out for King Township with the first group of settlers for those forty farms. A second group followed later that month settling in neighbouring Whitchurch township.

Intentions to publish two yearly issues have also been expressed, both in the initial stage, and later. Regular features include full-length research articles, editions and translations of primary sources, biographical essays, a forum on modern theory and scholarship, a review of relevant web-sites ("Electronic Medievalia"), reviews of scholarship originally published in German, Dutch, and French (a column called "Continental Business"), as well as book reviews (including reviews of scholarly monographs and fiction based on the Middle Ages), and film and television reviews. IHA is governed by a board that comprises an international group of experts, bringing together high-level experience and different international perspectives of hydropower. IHA Board members are elected by IHA's membership. The IHA Board is currently led by President Mr Roger Gill, six Vice Presidents (from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany and Malaysia), a further twelve board members (from Australia, Austria, Brazil, France, Norway, India, Iceland, Russia and South Africa), and the Chief Executive Officer (a non-voting board member position), Eddie Rich. The Board aims for a balanced geographic distribution of representation in its composition and conducts its affairs, including two-yearly elections, according to a formal written constitution and by-laws.

EURON also aims to improve the education and training of PhD students and industrial robotics engineers. EURON members were partner in euRobotics with EUROP, a Coordination Action (CA) funded by the EC to help achieve those goals. It also serves as a central contact point to the European Commission, mainly to prepare roadmaps and facilitate the access to funding proposals for its members in the area of robotics research, mainly in the current Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union. EURON has two yearly awards: one for the best PhD thesis of the previous year, the Georges Giralt PhD Award in honour of Georges Giralt); and the euRobotics Technology Transfer Award, which honours examples of effective transfer of technology from universities or research centres to companies.

The school offers academic programs for university-bound students, applied programs for college-bound students, and essential programs for the learning challenged; it also offers co-op apprenticeship and workplace programs in computer engineering and cosmetology (see below). The school community prides itself on athletic achievements, and STA fields teams known as the "Raiders" in a wide variety of sports (see below). Arts-related groups include the Aquinas Concert Band (which won a bronze medal at the Atlantic Band Festival in Halifax in May 2006), a Jazz Band, a choir, two yearly school plays, and the school's Light and Sound Crew. Conservative Friends do not believe in relying upon the practice of outward rites and sacraments in their living relationship with God through Christ, believing that holiness can exist in all of the activities of one's daily life – and that all of life is sacred in God. Many believe that a meal held with others can become a form of communion with God and with one another. Conservative Friends in the United States are part of three small Quaker Yearly Meetings in Ohio, North Carolina and Iowa. Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative) is generally considered the most Bible-centred of the three, retaining Christian Quakers who use plain language, wear plain dress, and are more likely to live in villages or rural areas than the Conservative Friends from their other two Yearly Meetings.

It was not reinstated for another eight years. A cross near Down's Barn Farm After the Norman Conquest the area fell under the control of Robert, Count of Mortain, a half-brother of William the Conqueror, and the parish of St Buryan is mentioned in the Domesday book with the old Cornish name of Eglosberrie (and elsewhere Eglosburrie) meaning 'church of St. Buryan': St Buryan was visited by King John in the early 13th century who, after landing at Sennen from Ireland, travelled to the parish to stay the night. The purpose of the visit was an inspection of local mining works in the area and resulted in the import of German engineers to improve their efficiency. By the 14th century St Buryan's importance as a regional centre had grown sufficiently that in 1302 King Edward granted it a weekly market, to be held on Saturdays, and two yearly fairs of three days each to be held on the feasts of St Buryan and St Martin.

As a result of the fragmentation of Poland, it became part of the Duchy of Silesia and from the 14th century it was the capital of the Duchy of Nysa, administered by the Bishopric of Wrocław. In the 12th the Gothic Basilica of St. James and St. Agnes was built, later rebuilt after the war devastations of the 13th and 14th centuries. Now designated a Historic Monument of Poland, it is the most distinctive and most valuable landmark of Nysa. Nysa was granted town rights around 1223 by bishop Lawrence, confirmed by Bolesław II Rogatka in 1250, and attracted Flemish and German settlers. In 1241 it was ravaged by the Mongols during the first Mongol invasion of Poland. In 1245, it was granted staple right and two yearly fairs were established. In the early 14th century Nysa became an important trade and craft center of Poland, before it passed under the suzerainty of the Bohemian Crown in 1351, under which it remained until 1742.
