Yet another variety is the flat cap, newsboy cap or golf cap featuring paired earflaps snapped or buttoned together with, again, a single visor and a matching cloth band in the rear that can be turned down along with the earflaps. Deeply influenced by Johann Joachim Winckelmann’s perception of beauty, Michele envisions fashion as imprisoned in the vicious cycle of profitability, but portraits himself as a nouveau siècle fashion liberator. To him, the more a product is special, the more it will sell.

Tell Me Something I Don't Know (abbreviated as TMSIDK) is a radio gameshow hosted by Stephen Dubner. The show's pilot episode premiered on Freakonomics Radio, Dubner's economics program for WNYC. Envisioned as a gameshow turned inside-out, TMSIDK's contestants offer facts that they already know instead of trying to answer trivia questions found on traditional quiz shows. These "IDK's" (short for "I Don't Know") are then judged by the audience on three criteria of it being something that the show's hosts did not know, that it was worth knowing, and that it was demonstrably true.

Erasmus (Coogan) and Paul (Rudd) are a gay couple whose life is turned inside out when a ten-year-old boy, Bill, shows up at their door claiming to be Erasmus's grandson. Erasmus is a famous chef and Paul is the producer of his cooking show, and they live in a large showplace house in New Mexico. Bill's father, Beau, was the result of a one-time heterosexual encounter, and Erasmus has never met him or Bill. Beau has been jailed on drug charges and instructed Bill to find his grandfather.

Works include the "Big M," at the metromover entrance in downtown Miami, "The Living Room" structure, an oversized living room turned inside-out in a public space, a super-billboard called "Besame Mucho," which was constructed for Coachella Music and Arts Festival, and public squares in Mexico DF and Copenhagen. R & R Studios has received Awards of Excellence from the American Institute of Architects, and their work was selected among the best Public Art in 2007 and 2013 by Americans for the Arts. Their work has been published in over 250 publications worldwide.

The title of the third segment, Nightmare Cafeteria, is a reference to the television series Nightmare Cafe, while the plot bears reference to Soylent Green. The song over the end credits is based on the song "One" from the musical A Chorus Line, while the concept of the family being turned inside out by a mysterious fog comes from an episode of the radio show Lights Out called "The Dark". In all three segments, Willie is stabbed in the back with an axe; first by Homer, then by Maggie, and then by Principal Skinner.

Beyond the Veil of Stars is a science-fiction novel by Robert Reed, first published in 1994. It describes a world in which the sky undergoes a transformation that prevents people from seeing the stars, giving them instead a view of the other side of the world, as if the Earth had been turned inside out. Accompanying this transformation are increased reports of UFO activity and the appearance of large circles of black glass at thousands of locations across the planet. Once the panic dies down, people resume their normal lives.

To top it off, the Simpsons do a song and dance number, with their insides turned inside out, over the closing credits. The Itchy & Scratchy Show-related episode "The Day the Violence Died" functioned as a vehicle for jokes about animation and plagiarism.

" Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, released in 2004, was Kaufman's second pairing with director Michel Gondry. Kaufman won his first Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and third BAFTA for the film together with Gondry and French artist Pierre Bismuth. The trio also received the prestigious PEN American Center 2005 prize for screenplay for the film. David Edelstein described the film in Slate as "The Awful Truth turned inside- out by Philip K. Dick, with nods to Samuel Beckett, Chris Marker, John Guare—the greatest dramatists of our modern fractured consciousness.

William Burns was a 22 year old African American man who was lynched on October 6, 1907 in Cumberland, Maryland for the alleged murder of white Cumberland police officer August Baker. Several newspapers at the time account that Officer Baker attempted to arrest Burns, and that Burns allegedly resisted and shot Baker in a scuffle. Burns was then arrested and taken to the Cumberland Jail. Several days later, Baker died in hospital and a mob of men with their coats turned inside out and handkerchiefs over their faces gathered outside the jail at 12:40am.

Seth Brundle, a brilliant but eccentric scientist, meets Veronica "Ronnie" Quaife, a science journalist, at a press event in Toronto. He takes her back to his warehouse home and laboratory and shows her his invention: a set of "telepods" that allows instantaneous teleportation between pods. Seth convinces Ronnie to keep the invention secret in exchange for exclusive rights to the story, and she documents his work. Although the telepods can transport inanimate objects, they mutilate live tissue, which is demonstrated when a baboon is turned inside-out during an experiment.

A symbolic seventh year was taken to build the "ark" at its centre. The building was three stories high; the first was an auditorium, built without a pulpit, and the second floor was a musician's gallery reached by a curved staircase, "Jacob's Ladder." The Temple was used only once a month for an alms collection, again at Christmas, and for two special "Illumination" ceremonies in which its 2,952 panes of glass were set aglow. David Willson's Study was completed in September 1829. Its exterior colonnade and arches can be seen as the Temple “turned inside out”.

In 2005, Krone received a settlement of $1.4 million from Maricopa County, and $3 million from the city of Phoenix. Since Krone's release, he has become an activist working for the abolition of the death penalty, and is Director of Membership and Training for Witness to Innocence. In February 2005, he was featured in episodes 13 and 14 of the third season of the reality television show Extreme Makeover. His story is detailed in Jingle Jangle: The Perfect Crime Turned Inside Out, written by his cousin, Jim Rix, who was instrumental in getting him out of prison.

The 1955 FA Cup Final was contested by Newcastle United and Manchester City at Wembley. Newcastle won 3–1, with goals from Jackie Milburn in the first minute (after 45 seconds, a record in a final at Wembley, a record he held until 1997), Bobby Mitchell and George Hannah. Bobby Johnstone scored City's goal. The game was virtually decided when Man City fullback Meadows was turned inside out by the elusive and mercurial Bobby Mitchell and after 22 minutes was stretchered off with a bad leg injury and City were down to 10 men as no substitutes were permitted in the 1950s.

The house is cleaned, washed and turned inside out, and the boy, Andrey, and his tutor Pobedimsky receive new costumes, made by the local tailor. Upon his uncle's arrival the boy is disappointed.

Wilkeson's book included a startling chapter entitled "How Men Die in Battle" that graphically described the various ways men were killed in combat during the Civil War particularly noting their facial expressions. Highly regarded by historians for its no-holds-barred style, the book was reprinted in 1997 as Turned Inside Out: Recollections of a Private Soldier in the Army of the Potomac () with an introduction by Pulitzer Prize-winning author James M. McPherson. He was active in the Democratic Party, and sought its nomination for representative to Kansas's 5th congressional district in 1908, but was not successful.

Xhosa Men Resting during a Hunt Xhosa men traditionally filled the roles as hunters, warriors and stockman therefore, animal skin forms an important part of their traditional wear. Men often wear goatskin bags in which to carry essentials such as tobacco and a knife. The bag is usually made from skin that had been removed in one piece, cured without removing the hair, and turned inside out. On special occasions such as weddings or initiation ceremonies, Xhosa men wear embroidered skirts with a rectangular cloth over the left shoulder alternatively, a tunic and strands of beaded necklaces can be worn.

At 9:00 am in late February 1993, police in Tallinn's Old Town found an unconscious, bleeding man lying on Vene Street with his pockets turned inside out. Assuming the man was a vagrant and intoxicated, they initially transported him to a sobering up facility in the city's subdistrict of Männiku. After this 1980 release proved unsuccessful, Jim Wynorski spearheaded New World Pictures' re-release of the film. Botswana's music is mostly vocal and performed, sometimes without drums depending on the occasion; it also makes heavy use of string instruments. Botswana folk music has instruments such as setinkane (a sort of miniature piano), segankure/segaba (a Botswana version of the Chinese instrument erhu), moropa (meropa -plural) (many varieties of drums), phala (a whistle used mostly during celebrations, which comes in a variety of forms). Botswana cultural musical instruments are not confined only to the strings or drums. The hands are used as musical instruments too, by either clapping them together or against (goat skin turned inside out wrapped around the calf area, only used by men) to create music and rhythm.

Ken is a mild-mannered man in his mid-twenties who, like many men his age, has interests that stopped developing during adolescence. On a visit to a local toy collectors' shop he acquires a rare alien action figure. Unexpectedly, Ken's world is turned inside out as the somewhat silly looking toy alters his life by benevolently giving him everything he has ever dreamed of and then callously taking it all back. Ken's immature desires and indecisive nature are pit against a collection of seemingly normal, yet equally misguided characters who are meant to illustrate how people are victims of a socially implanted drive for things not in their own best interests.

Investigators initially ruled that she had died from a severe hemorrhage caused by two gunshot wounds, one to the head over the right eye and one to the back. The wound to the head indicated she had apparently not turned or flinched, a common phenomenon of a headshot, and the entry wound suggested complete surprise. With her pockets turned inside out to indicate that any identification she carried had been removed, the investigators later named her "Caledonia Jane Doe" or "Cali Doe" as they worked to identify her. The autopsy by the medical examiner indicated that Alexander had first been shot in the head while next to the road bordering the cornfield, at or near a blood spot found on the ground.

Beneath the Gated Sky is a science-fiction novel by Robert Reed, first published in 1997. It describes a world in which the sky undergoes a transformation that prevents people from seeing the stars, giving them instead a view of the other side of the world, as if the Earth had been turned inside out. The entire universe seems to have been rebuilt by an intelligence so that each body of matter exists in a structure that connects all matter together allowing travel between worlds using "quantum intrusions". The intrusions only allow minds, or as some would maintain, souls to pass through, emerging on the other side as a fully formed member of whatever species exists on the new world.

Tswana music is mostly vocal and performed, sometimes without drums depending on the occasion; it also makes heavy use of string instruments. Tswana folk music has instruments such as Setinkane (a Botswana version of miniature piano), Segankure/Segaba (a Botswana version of the Chinese instrument Erhu), Moropa (Meropa -plural) (a Botswana version of the many varieties of drums),and phala (a Botswana version of a whistle used mostly during celebrations, which comes in a variety of forms). Botswana cultural musical instruments are not confined only to the strings or drums. the hands are used as musical instruments too, by either clapping them together or against phathisi (goat skin turned inside out wrapped around the calf area; it is only used by men) to create music and rhythm.

Some non- convex self-crossing polyhedra can be coloured in the same way but have regions turned "inside out" so that both colours appear on the outside in different places; these are still considered to be orientable. Murdoch Grant (died March 19, 1830) was an itinerant peddler and murder victim of which the unusual circumstance regarding the capture of the murderer resulted from a local tailor who claimed to have witnessed the events in a dream. During the spring of 1830, Grant visited the village of Assynt in the Scottish Highlands of Sutherlandshire to attend a wedding on March 19. However, after disappearing between Drumbeg and Nedd on March 11, his body was discovered four weeks later by a farm servant passing by the Loch-for-na- eigin, a remote mountain loch located almost a mile from Drumbeg. After dragging his body ashore, the servant observed the peddler's pockets had been emptied and turned inside out (Grant was known to be carrying a considerable amount of money) and his backpack missing as well as marks on his face showing signs of foul play.

Elsewhere, familiar lyrics and arrangements are turned inside out to generate frosty menace (The Clash's 'Guns of Brixton'), giggly coquetry ('Too Drunk To Fuck' by the Dead Kennedys) or haunting langour (The Cure's 'A Forest', teeming with birdsong)." The more negative reviews take issue with the concept of the album itself. AllMusics review begins: "The best compliment that can be paid to Nouvelle Vague's self- titled debut album: it isn't as arch and smirking as a collection of bossa nova versions of new wave classics by fetching French and Brazilian chanteuses would suggest." The NME gave the album a 1 out of 10 rating, writing, "the very concept of Nouvelle Vague - alternative '80s hits done in a deeply kitsch, sub-Bebel Gilberto sunset-samba style – is one that's so tired, so looooong past any imagined sell-by date that we're honestly astounded it exists.
