Cochet at the French Championships in 1922 In February 1922 Cochet traveled to the World Covered Court Championships in Saint Moritz in Switzerland where he defeated Borotra in a five-set final and formed a team with him to gain the doubles trophy against Jacques Brugnon and Marcel Dupont. He clinched a triple crown feat at the 1922 World Hard Court Championships in Brussels defeating Count Manuel de Gomar in the singles final and triumphing in the doubles events, partnering Jean Borotra and Suzanne Lenglen respectively. After his success abroad Cochet claimed the French Closed Championships by defeating defending champion Jean Samazeuilh in the final. Afterwards Cochet topped the French rankings.

After triumphing in the 1992–93 Belgrade Zone League, the club subsequently won the Serbian League North in the 1993–94 season and took promotion to the Second League of FR Yugoslavia. They placed second in the NATO bombing-shortened 1998–99 season and gained promotion to the First League of FR Yugoslavia. However, the club was immediately relegated back to the second tier, finishing 18th out of 21 in its debut season in the top flight. In the 2003–04 season, the club won the Second League of Serbia and Montenegro (Group East) and took promotion to the 2004–05 First League of Serbia and Montenegro.

There he worked in 1991-1994 and 1997-1999, in the meantime being an advisor to the youth academy of the Tecos UAG club. In these teams he cooperated with leading trainers in Mexico - in Pumas and Monterrey with Miguel Mejía Barón, while in Tecos with Víctor Manuel Vucetich. In addition, in 1993 he was assistant to Ricardo Ferretti in the Mexican team B, who then took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, eventually triumphing in it. He also played the role of midfielder in the first representation of Mexico - Miguel Mejía Barón during successful elimination to the FIFA 1994 World Cup, but Bora Milutinović in qualifying for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, which the Mexicans also got.

Both sides were also competing in the Campeonato de Portugal which later became in 1938 the Taça de Portugal. Until 1934, Benfica would win the Campeonato de Lisboa nine times as well as triumphing in the Taça de Honra de Lisboa twice, while Porto would win the Campeonato do Porto nineteen times as well as claiming the Taça de Honra do Porto twice. Benfica would meet Porto for the very first time in an official match in the domestic cup competition which during the early periods of Portuguese football was the Campeonato de Portugal. Benfica defeated Porto in the final of the 1931 Campeonato de Portugal, 3–0 at the Campo do Arnado in Coimbra.

Cockerill remained with Grimsby Town following his retirement and spent time at the club in various positions such as the Community Coach, Youth Coach and Reserve Team Manager. In 1994 he became caretaker manager following the resignation of Alan Buckley who had joined West Bromwich Albion. Cockerill again took over temporary first team responsibilities in 1996 when Brian Laws was dismissed but was overlooked in the job with the board instead re-hiring Buckley who in turn made Cockerill his assistant. He was part of the coaching staff of the 1997-98 team who reached two Wembley Stadium finals in a matter of weeks by triumphing in the Football League Trophy and the Second Division play-off final.

Kankkonen recorded his first Challenge Tour win at the 1995 SIAB Open, and almost won another tournament back-to-back, losing a playoff to Thomas Bjørn at the Himmerland Open. He played on the 1996 European Tour but recorded only one top-10, at the English Open, and returned to the Challenge Tour in 1997 where he won two tournaments, the Alianca UAP Challenge in Portugal after triumphing in a three-way playoff, and the Rolex Trophy Pro-Am in Switzerland. He would have made it three but lost a playoff with Knud Storgaard in the season opener, the Ivory Coast Open. He finished fifth on the Challenge Tour ranking to re-join the European Tour in 1998.

Heading into round nine, the season had so far belonged to Michael Schumacher, driving for Ferrari, winning all but one race, in Monaco, owing to a crash with Juan Pablo Montoya, and so had 70 points out of a possible 80. However, Rubens Barrichello, Schumacher's teammate at Ferrari, was only 16 points behind him, having taken six podiums and two other points finishes. In the Constructors' Championship, however, Ferrari were dominating, with 124 points: more than double that of second-placed Renault, the only other team to win a Grand Prix that year so far, with Jarno Trulli triumphing in Monaco. Third-placed BAR had a quick car, but suffered reliability problems.

Gallagher has made a name in the BDO tour, winning various titles in the girls' section, and already winning a ladies' tournament, after triumphing in the Malta Open in 2012. She has also won the WDF Europe Cup Girls' Singles twice: in 2012,WDF Europe Youth Cup and defended her title in 2013. She also completed the triple with the England girls' team, taking the overall title on both occasions; and she also won the pairs in 2012 with Josie Patterson, and in 2013 with Natasha Eaves. In october 2013 came her biggest two wins in youth events when she won the WDF World Cup Girls Singles defeating Tiarna Smith in the final, she then won the Winmau World Masters Girls title by beating Kayleigh O'Neill 4-0 in the final.

Despite playing no part in either, Butterfield was among the winning squad who earned a double Wembley win that same season, triumphing in the Football League Trophy, as well as the Second Division Play- Off Final As the seasons progressed, Butterfield became more and more involved in club affairs, and featured often on the right side of defence and as a makeshift centre half. He was part of the Grimsby team that defeated Liverpool in the League Cup in 2001–02. (at 0–0 Butterfield kept Grimsby on level terms by clearing an Emile Heskey header off the line). At the end of the 2001–02 season, Butterfield decided against a new contract and moved to Crystal Palace In his five years at Grimsby Town from 1997 to 2002, Butterfield featured 124 times in the League, scoring 3 times.

Holywell played in the local football league system, most notably in the Clwyd League system, when in 1975–76, the club won the Welsh League (North) Division 5, and the Clwyd League Division 3 title the following season. They would continue to play in the top division of the Clwyd League system for the next nine seasons, achieving a runners-up spot in the 1980–81 season. However, in 1986–87, the club finally earned some silverware when they finally won the Clwyd League Premier Division title as well as triumphing in the premier North Wales Coast Challenge Cup competition to earn a league and cup double. Throwing off the disappointment of cup final defeat in 1964, The Wellmen played local rivals Mold Alexandra (at Flint) and won the cup 1–0, thanks to a goal after 78 minutes scored by Merfyn Edwards.
