Kožara (Serbian Cyrillic: Кожара) is a river island (ada) in Serbia, located on the left bank of the Danube. It is part of the Belgrade City proper and belongs to the Belgrade's municipality of Palilula. There is a short streak on the base of the costa and a large irregular-pentagonal blotch extending on the dorsum from one-sixth to the middle and reaching two-thirds across the wing. A small wedge-shaped mark is found on the costa before the middle and there is a transverse bar, enlarged above, on the end of the cell, as well as a straight fascia at four-fifths, narrow at the extremities but triangularly expanded anteriorly in the disc so as nearly to approach the preceding bar. Some fuscous irroration (sprinkling) is found beyond this and the terminal edge is blackish.

Players skilled at carom and kiss shots are at a marginal advantage in three- ball, because sometimes the only way to win is to sink two balls with one shot; average players lacking expertise in multi-ball shots succeed at this only a truly negligible percentage of the time, while expert players can make them a still quite small, but statistically meaningful, percent of the time. Otherwise, players skilled at eight-ball, nine-ball, one-pocket and/or straight pool are well-equipped to excel at three-ball. Because of the value of pocketing multiple (especially all) object balls on the break, a strong break (and a skilled one, if the balls are triangularly racked) is an important technique.

The lower surface has two layers of hairs, a dense, persistent, soft, white or pinkish, cobweb-like layer that is overlaid by longer woolly hairs. The lower leaf surface is not visible through the layers of hairs. In each rosette, there is mostly just one, unbranched flower stalk of up to about , with the same indumentum as the leaf lower surface, with several line-shaped to triangularly line-shaped bracts of up to 4 cm (1.8 in) long, decreasing in size upwards, with a single flower head at its tip. The bracts that jointly surround the florets in the same head form a broadly bell-shaped involucre of about 3 cm (1.4 in) in diameter.

The forewings are black with the base narrowly metallic blue green, extended as a thick streak along the dorsum to the middle and with interrupted yellow transverse streaks between this and the costa at one-sixth and before the middle, connected by costal and three other fine yellow longitudinal lines, with metallic-blue-green streaks between the first and second, and between the third and fourth. There is a narrow transverse violet-leaden median fascia, triangularly dilated posteriorly on the dorsum, edged with black. The wing beyond this is wholly deep red, except a yellow wedge-shaped mark on the costa beyond the median fascia, and an elongate violet-leaden spot in the disc at two-thirds. The hindwings are dark fuscous.

In New York City, as Broadway crisscrosses major avenues, the resulting blocks are cut like triangles, and buildings have been built on these shapes; one such building is the triangularly shaped Flatiron Building which real estate people admit has a "warren of awkward spaces that do not easily accommodate modern office furniture" but that has not prevented the structure from becoming a landmark icon. Designers have made houses in Norway using triangular themes. Triangle shapes have appeared in churches as well as public buildings including colleges as well as supports for innovative home designs. Triangles are sturdy; while a rectangle can collapse into a parallelogram from pressure to one of its points, triangles have a natural strength which supports structures against lateral pressures.

Development of the doublet lens by Churchill at Corning Glass Works allowed an electric light source to be more effective than with previous daytime colorlight signal designs. There are two main types of cases: the single case, where two or more lamps were contained within a single cast housing, and the modular light, where each lamp was an independent unit capable of being arranged into a signal of arbitrary configuration, including triangular. US&S; has a popular single case type with its styles R/R-2, P-2/5 and N, while GRS offered their triangularly arranged Type G, with the Chicago Signal Company providing a similar version. Today's Safetrans Triangular is a copy of the GRS Type G but with vertically arranged double doors.

Celosia floribunda is a smallish tree or shrub with greyish- green striated upper branches which are smooth below the inflorescence. The leaves grow in lines and are very variable in size and shape with the width varying from 0.5 cm to 11 cm and the length from shape being oblong subhastate or triangularly oval tapering to a point, wedge shaped or rounded at the base with a prominent network of veins with a rough pubescent underside and hairless above. The petioles are 8–40 mm long and frequently have a thin flange of tissue along their length. The abundant flower are sessile and arranged in long, slender loose spikes which are aggregated in dense panicles up to 30 cm in length, the sepals of the flowers are 2 mm long, papery white or straw coloured with faint venation and include 5 stamens, The stigma are round and brown in colour.
