Evidence of early Aboriginal people has been found in several locations within the City of Blacktown, such as on the banks of the South Creek and its tributaries, including Eastern Creek. Bells Creek is transversed by the Westlink M7 and the Richmond railway line at Quakers Hill.

The Calder River is a river in North West Tasmania, Australia, it extends approximately from the Campbell Ranges near Henrietta before reaching its confluence with the Inglis River near Calder. The river is transversed by the Murchison Highway in its upper reaches. Part of the course of the river is located adjacent to the Calder River Conservation Area. The river and the adjacent town was named in honour of James Erskine Calder, the Surveyor General of Tasmania between 1859 and 1870.

The Coteau du Missouri is known for being an area with difficult growing and agricultural conditions, and this is because of the weather and specific soil conditions of the land that makes growing a difficulty for this area. The plateau is poorly drained and is interspersed with glacial water deposits. This is because of the poor drainage in the area, and the Coteau du Missouri’s close proximity to the kettle lakes Region. It is transversed by several broad sags marking the ancient stream valleys of the eastern continuations of the Grand, Moreau, Cheyenne, Bad, and White rivers.

Toongabbie Creek is transversed by the Cumberland Highway; the Westlink M7 and M2 Hills Motorway at their interchange; and the Old Windsor Road. The land adjacent to the Parramatta River and its tributaries, including the Toongabbie Creek, was occupied for many thousands of years by the Burramattagal, Toongagal, Wallumattagal, Wangal, and Wategora Aboriginal peoples. They used the river as an important source of food and a place for trade.

The filamentous cyanobacteria belonging to the genus Nostoc, which is able to form symbiosis with a wide range of organisms, inhabits the mucilage in the microaerobic and dark intercellular zone in between the inner and outer cortex of coralloid roots. This zone is transversed and connected by elongated Zamia cells.

Below it is a nearly unmottled area of clear ochreous, reaching to the middle of the wing and only transversed by a single dark line on the subcostal vein. From base through the center of the wing run close beside each other two parallel black lines, interrupted at the end of the cell by a round brown dot, but continued on the other side nearly to a small round black dot at the apex. Callicilix is a monotypic genus of moths belonging to the subfamily Drepaninae and contains the single species Callicilix abraxata. The wingspan is about 44 mm. Adults are creamy-white, all wings with a marginal series of large oval grey-brown spots and some partly confluent irregular patches tending to form a submarginal band. The forewings are crossed by a broad and somewhat irregular central belt, which is grey-brown towards the costa and enclosing a spot of the ground colour, but dark golden brown below the subcostal vein, crossed by pearl-grey veins with black extremities and transversed internally by a pale sinuous line.

A trail inside the forest park The Arroceros Forest Park is a riverside park in Manila, Philippines, located on Antonio Villegas Street (former Calle Arroceros) in the central district of Ermita. Developed in 1993, the urban forest on the south bank of the Pasig River, at the foot of Quezon Bridge, consists of secondary growth forest with 61 different tree varieties and 8,000 ornamental plants providing a habitat for 10 different bird species. Despite its small size, it is considered an important feature of the city in providing fresh air to the Lawton area, which is transversed by many commuters from other cities in the region. It lies in a historic area of Manila and has been called "Manila's last lung", being the city's only nature park.

The town is served by the Tithorea railway station on the Piraeus–Platy railway, part of the main railway line connecting Athens and Thessaloniki, which opened in 1904. The station received a major refurbishment and upgrade in the 20162017 period as part of the Tithorea-Leianokladi-Domokos high-speed rail bypass, a 20-year project which starts at Kato Tithorea and includes the longest railway tunnel in the Balkans. The new bypass, which starts at Kato Tithorea and ends at Domokos, replaced the older mountainous part of the Piraeus–Platy railway line with an electrified line capable of speeds of up to . Kato Tithorea is also transversed by the old Greek National Road 3, a single carriageway which served as the main road link between Athens and Thessaloniki until the construction of the A1 Motorway in 1962.

The natural amphitheatre that makes up what is now Brookside Stadium, and moreover lands throughout all of Brookside Park, can be credited to a fortunate set of geological circumstances; ancient glaciers retreating to carve a deep bowl from the earth. This fertile valley lands would have been transversed by early Native American visitors, farmed by the regions first white settlers, and eventually part of the original purchase to establish the Cleveland Metroparks system in 1894. In the years that follow, we have documentation that Brookside Stadium was "enjoyed by the lovers of outdoor amusements" and had already begun hosting large audiences. Plans had begun to develop "an athletic field of several acres…which would be ready for use during the coming season" and in June 1898, Brookside Park hosted a what was referred to as a "season-opening band concert" of the Great Western Band that found "all the West and South Side" turning out to hear it.

Drinia or sometimes Thrinia () is a village in the Paphos District of Cyprus, located 3 km north of Agios Dimitrianos. Built at an altitude of 550 meters among vineyards, grain crops, few legumes and almond trees, in a region transversed by many streams, Drinia with the approximately 50 inhabitants belongs to the geographical region of the Limassol-Paphos ampelochoria (wine- producing villages of Cyprus). The small settlement with its traditional stone houses of folk architecture, vineyards and wild vegetation, wins the visitors seeking tranquility and relaxation away from the bustling urban centers of Cyprus. One of the last “strongholds” of the preservation of the textile art, Drinia maintains, albeit on a limited scale, the weaving of the well-known phytiotic textiles that took their name from the neighboring village Phyti. The village dates back to medieval times and is referenced to by the name “Thrinia”, although some people associate its name with the name of nearby Drymou, believing that it comes from the word “Drymia” (small oak forest).
