Grady Cole and Hazel Cole were a husband-and-wife songwriting team that produced many hits in the 1930s and 1940s. They are best known for the gospel tune "The Tramp on the Street", a song popularized by Hank Williams and Joan Baez.

Anita O'Day Collates is a 1953 (see 1953 in music) album by Anita O'Day. It was a 10-inch LP containing eight songs. It was re-released as Anita O'Day by Norgran Records in 1955 and with four additional tracks as The Lady Is A Tramp on the Verve label in 1957.

In 1945, Lynn decided to change the band's name to the Cumberland Mountain Folks. The new band became a hot act. In 1946, the head of Acuff-Rose, Fred Rose heard Molly sing "Tramp on the Street", a Grady Cole song she learned from Williams. Rose almost immediately arranged a recording contract with Columbia Records.

Mohan (K. L. Saigal) and Gita (Leela Desai) are friends and discover they are in love. Gita visits Mohan at his house regularly and they also rendezvous at night by the lakeside where they listen to a tramp on his violin. Mohan is making plans on increasing his allowance while Gita is worried about his health.

That line-up signed an indie deal and released a six- song EP entitled Class Tramp on Fun Stuff Records in 1983. The EP sold all 3,000 copies produced. Celebrating their 30th anniversary, Pretty Maids played a concert at Tivoli, Copenhagen, which featured Rene Shades [Mike Tramp] on bass. Rene Shades has replaced Hal Patino. On September 15, 2012, Pretty Maids played in the US for the first time in the ProgPower festival. Pretty Maids released their thirteenth studio album Motherland on March 22 in Europe and on March 26 in North America through Frontiers Records.

The duo signed with King Records after World War II, and hit big with the Ernest Tubb cover, "A Rainbow at Midnight", in 1946. Carlisle had a solo hit in 1948 with "Tramp on the Street". Cliff retired from the business about 1950, and Bill put together a backing ensemble, The Carlisles, though none of them was related to him. She performed at the 2013 Academy Awards on 24 February 2013 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movie franchise. It was her first appearance at an Oscars ceremony as a performer. She sang "Goldfinger" to a standing ovation. Bassey performed "I'm Still Here" and "The Lady Is A Tramp" on 13 November 2014 at the 2014 Royal Variety Performance in the presence of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Lamb conceived the idea of an organization that would lead this enthusiastic spirit into constructive channels. It was decided that Saddle Tramps should be a non-political organization dedicated to the improvement and advancement of Texas Tech as well as service and leadership to the university and student body. Early Texas ranchers would hire a "saddle tramp" on the basis of his ability and willingness to tackle any task assigned to him. He would move on after some time, having done all he could to contribute to the improvement of the ranch.

The band spend a lot of time touring, not only around Ireland but overseas in Germany, Czech Republic, England and Russia, whilst also recording in France. They first release single Hot Tramp on 20 September, which reaches number one on the Physical Singles Chart, and number twenty seven on the Irish Singles Chart. They release demo CD Hot Tramp which contains tracks such as Keep On Keepin' On, Hard To Explain, and Cocaine Cowboys, all of which become live staples, and make their way onto the second album.

Canadian pop rock band Marianas Trench has released five studio albums, three extended plays, 22 singles and 24 music videos. The band recorded and released their debut EP in 2002, entitled Marianas Trench containing 8 tracks. On October 3, 2006, the band released their debut album, Fix Me. Its first single, "Say Anything" peaked at number three in the Canadian Singles Chart. It was followed by another two singles, "Decided to Break It" and "Shake Tramp". On February 24, 2009, they released their second studio album, Masterpiece Theatre.

The Scottish suffragettes present compared their struggle to the campaign of William Wallace.alt= Phillips showed other suffragettes different forms of protest, including getting Charlie Marsh to help her pavement chalking in Lambeth, whom Philips noted 'gamely stood the jeering and rough handling' the women got in the process. Her next location from January 1909, was in Newcastle and then back south to Cornwall and Devon.

It included 10 songs: "Mother Is Gone", "Won't You Please Come Back", "My Darling Baby Girl" (with Audrey Sheppard), "Grandad's Musket", "I Just Wish I Could Forget", "Let's Turn Back the Years", "Honkey-Tonkey", "I Loved No One But You", "A Tramp on the Street", and "You'll Love Me Again". With Williams beginning to be recognized as a songwriter, Sheppard became his manager and occasionally accompanied him on duets in some of his live concerts. On September 14, 1946, Williams auditioned for Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, but was rejected. After the failure of his audition, Williams and Audrey Sheppard attempted to interest the recently formed music publishing firm Acuff-Rose Music.

Discographies reveal that much of the music originally written, composed and recorded by the Traits at TNT and Renner Records between 1958 and 1962, has been re-released over the past four decades numerous times by as many as 20 different record labels both in the U.S. and abroad. During 1966 and 1967, when Head was working with the Roy Head Trio, The Traits independently recorded using Dean Scott on lead vocals. Scott had previously been the stand-in vocalist while Head had been away in the military. In 1967 The Traits recorded with pre-fame Johnny Winter featuring Winter's vocals and blistering guitar leads, producing a vinyl 45; "Parchman Farm" and "Tramp" on Universal 30496.

The Tramp on the road. The physical attributes of the Tramp include a pair of baggy pants, a tight coat, a small bowler hat, a large pair of shoes, a springy and flexible cane and a toothbrush moustache. The Tramp walks strangely and uncomfortably because of the ill-fitting clothing; either he is wearing secondhand clothes, or they are originally his but he cannot afford new ones. The Tramp may have seen better days, but he maintains the attitude and demeanor of a high-class individual; as long as he acts like one he can believe that he is one, and is able to keep his hope that some day he actually will be again.

On January 8, 2019, Mike Tramp announced that his new solo album titled Stray From The Flock would be released on March 1. Tramp's record company Target Records has made the following statement: > With 100+ shows planned in 2019 to support the new album – starting off in > the US in February and March with 22 shows – and a first single, titled > "Dead End Ride", ready to drop on January the 25th (together with a top- > notch video), this will be another great year for Mike Tramp. On January 25, Tramp released the song/video "Dead End Ride" as a first single of the new album. The song went No. 1 on iTunes in Peru the next day.

They were regulars for ten years on Wheeling, West Virginia's WWVA-AM's rival to the Grand Ole Opry, WWVA Jamboree, beginning in 1947 before joining the Opry in 1957. Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper had remarkable record success in the late 1950s and early 1960s on Hickory Records given both their bluegrass sound (which has rarely been as commercially successful) and the damage rock-n-roll was doing to country music's popularity at the time. They scored seven hit records between 1956 and 1961, with four top ten hits on Billboard charts, notably "Big Midnight Special" and "There's a Big Wheel". They remained connected to the Leary Family tradition as well, recording popular gospel songs like "The Tramp on the Street" and "Walking My Lord Up Calvary's Hill".

Another traditional source appears in the form of a Scots proverb, "Ye maunna tramp on the Scotch thistle, laddie", this being immortalised in marble by Glasgow monumental sculptors James Gibson & Co. for the Kelvingrove International Exhibition of 1888. The phrase "Wha daur meddle wi' me?" also appears in a traditional border ballad entitled "Little Jock Elliot",Jedburgh Online - Border Ballads which recalls the exploits of a 16th-century Border Reiver ("John Elliot of the Park"), with particular reference to an infamous encounter in the summer of 1566 with James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell, the third husband of Mary, Queen of Scots. The French city of Nancy has a similar motto, Non inultus premor ("I cannot be touched unavenged"), also a reference to the thistle, which is the symbol of the region of Lorraine.
