Of particular interest is the 'priest's door' built into the side of the church with medieval carved stones on each side. Several other such carved stone can be found in the exterior of the apse. The church was towerless. The entire church is remarkably preserved.

Skalunda Church (Skalunda kyrka) was built in the 12th century. The Romanesque church is commonly believed to have originated as a mission church. The towerless church was built of finely hewn sandstone blocks. Arches were built in the 15th century and at the end of the 19th century were taken down.

The church is built in yellow sandstone with green Westmorland slate roofs. Its plan consists of a five-bay nave, a south aisle, transepts and a polygonal apsidal chancel. The style of the architecture is Early English. Over the west end of the nave is a towerless spire covered in slate.

The architect Artur Szalatnai was selected by winning a competition for the project of a new synagogue. It was Szalatnai's first major work after finishing studies in Budapest. At the time of the construction, there were no houses in this part of Heydukova Street. The synagogue exterior has a towerless, seven-pillared colonnade facing Heydukova Street.

Setberg is a "Kirkjustaður" located on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, in the Grundarfjörður municipality. The Setberg Church (Icelandic: Setbergskirkja) is a small, towerless wooden church located in Setberg. The church was erected in 1892 by Sveinn Jónsson. Although the current church was built in the 19th century, there has been a church in Setberg since the 12th century.

The Pieterskerk used to have a church tower, the Westtoren (west tower) from 1290 on. It was nicknamed "Coningh der Zee" (king of the sea), and was completed in stages, eventually reaching 110 metres (including the 35-metre-tall wooden spire). It collapsed in the night of 5 March 1512.Van Maanen, Geschiedenis van Leiden, 2002, page 154 The tower was not restored and the church remains towerless.

The organ was built in 1896 by Wilhelm Sauer and restored in 1984. ;Mennonite church In the 16th century, Swiss Mennonites found haven as religious refugees in Obersülzen, where they have formed a community ever since. As Ribe became Denmark's largest and most prosperous town, the priory was reconstructed and expanded in the early 14th century with a larger towerless church and a quadrangular set of buildings providing the friars with privacy from the rest of the community. The new construction was in the Gothic style. A large cellar was built beneath the south range. In the late 14th century the priory was sacked along with rest of Ribe: a papal letter enjoined the community and monks to reconstruct it.

The cross atop the central dome is a reference point of astronomical longitudes of the archipelago. In 1880, another earthquake toppled its bell tower, rendering the cathedral towerless until 1958. In 1937, the International Eucharistic Congress was held in the Philippines in which the cathedral played an integral part in promoting eucharistic beliefs. Also a Grade II listed church is the Church of St Patrick at High Street.English Heritage list entry number 1184932, listing NGR: NZ2766261950 A Roman Catholic church built between 1893–95 by Charles Walker of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, St Patrick's is a "bold though towerless" sandstone, slate and ashlar building with considerable ornamentation to the exterior though the interior is considered "roomy but uninteresting". Officially opened on St Patrick's Day in 1895, the church is a replacement for the older St Patrick's RC Chapel at Felling Shore. (date. Retrieved 15 July 2012) The church presbytery is also a Grade II listed building.

The Church of St Peter and St Paul was built in the Thirteenth Century- the original font's base as well as the Grisaille Glass remains SS Peter and Paul, Pettistree – geograph.org.uk – 119745intact in the building today, Although the original church was likely to have been low and towerless, this changed as the village become more wealthy. As the wealth of the settlement grew, Campsea priory added both Loudham and Pettistree to its dependent parishes and the re- construction of the original church began in the 14th Century. Again, further improvements were made to the church in the Fifteenth Century with the tower, bells, brash and benches for the congregation all being added.

It has been described as the ″most brilliant example of a towerless façade in Germany″. So-called Abbot's Chapel of Pforta monastery As a sign of the economic power of the monastery, the Cistercians were able to commission a new church and abbot's chapel (Abtskapelle) between 1251 and 1268, both of which are of artistic and architectural quality. Rare elements were still to be found in the structure such as the latrine and the chamber of the infirmary. It constitutes the high point of Romanesque interior design in the local cultural landscape and stands out thanks to the opulent and yet balanced profiles of the wall design above the columns with their many shaft tori and leaping impost heights.

First, the bullet-shaped protective cover would have to be modified and reinforced to allow for the use of the solid-rocket motors, something not needed with the LES, which bolts on top of the LIDS docking ring assembly. Second, the necessity to fire multiple motors (LES uses one motor and multiple nozzles) simultaneously for an abort decreases the theoretical reliability of the launch abort system by introducing more failure modes. Like the existing LES, the MLAS would provide protection to the Orion spacecraft crew during the first minutes of flight, with the MLAS being jettisoned, along with the service module's fairing panels, after the solid- rocket first stage was jettisoned. If implemented, the Orion/Ares I stack would have resembled the towerless Gemini-Titan stack used between 1965–1966, in which ejection seats were used as the primary form of escape for the astronauts who flew on the ten Gemini missions.
