Chattacon 41, held January 29–31, 2016 at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, included guest of honor William C. Dietz, artist guest of honor Scott Grimando, special guest Larry Correia and toastmistress Wendy Webb. Chattacon 42, held January 20–22, 2017 at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, included guest of honor Mike Resnick, with Alan Pollack as the artist guest of honor, special guest Jennifer Mulvihill and toastmistress Wendy Webb.

Conestoga 6 was held July 19-21, 2002. Featured guests included Guest of Honor Elizabeth Moon, Artist Guest of Honor Nene Thomas, Toastmistress Lee Martindale, Fan Guests of Honor Lori Wolf and A.T. Campbell, III, and Special Guest Joe R. Lansdale. The con chair was Danny Myers. The play was Attack of the Groans.

Chattacon 36, held January 21–23, 2011, included guests of honor writers Kristine Kathryn Rusch and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, artist Ruth Thompson, filkers Bill and Brenda Sutton, and Baen Books publisher Toni Weisskopf as toastmaster. Attendance for this event was estimated at over 1,000 members. Chattacon 37, held January 20–22, 2012, included writers Steve Miller and Sharon Lee, author Laura Ann Gilman, and artist John Picacio, plus "Morganville Vampires" writer Rachel Caine as Special Guest and author Mark Van Name as Toastmaster. Chattacon 38, held January 25–27, 2013, included guests of honor Tim Powers and Cherie Priest, artist guest William Stout, and toastmistress Wendy Webb. Chattacon 39, held January 24–26, 2014, included guest of honor Tobias Buckell, featured guests John Kaufmann, Jean Johnson, and Robert Buettner, plus toastmistress Wendy Webb and special music guest Matthew Ebel.

Conestoga 7 was held July 18-20, 2003. This was the first year of the Conestoga Short Film Festival and the old OKon mascot "Okie the Penguin" returned as the official mascot of Conestoga Featured guests included Guest of Honor David Brin, Artist Guest of Honor Keith Birdsong, Toastmistress Esther Friesner, and Fan Guest of Honor David Lee Anderson. The con chair was Randy Farran. The play was Spandex 2XL.

In 1987, she founded the Guyana Association of Women Lawyers. She was involved in the formation of the Georgetown Legal Aid Clinic and chairs its Board for many years. She was also President of the Georgetown Toastmistress Club and a member of numerous associations including the Guyana Consumers Association, the Council of the University of Guyana, the Guyana Adoption Board and the Guyana Girl Guides Association. Bernard was a rapporteur of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination from 1982 until 1984, and then Chair of the Committee from 1985 until 1989.

MidSouthCon 29 was held March 25–27, 2011, at the Memphis Hilton in Memphis. Guests of honor included author GoH Mary Robinette Kowal, artist GoH Nene Thomas, gaming GoH Monte Cook, comics GoH Kurt Busiek, costuming GoH Kelldar, science GoH Les Johnson, editor GoH Jackie Gamber, and toastmaster The Great Luke Ski. MidSouthCon 30 was held March 23–25, 2012, at the Memphis Hilton in Memphis, Tennessee.
