"I have particularly fond memories of this, my first West End show, and the experience I gained from the cast and creatives was fantastic," she reflected. She also stated, "It was a great step up for me.
Beck exploded onto the NHL scene with the Rockies, racking up 22 goals (a higher total than he had ever achieved in junior) which set an NHL rookie record for goals by a defenceman. More importantly, the Rockies secured their first-ever playoff berth. Beck capped off the successful season by being the runner up to Mike Bossy for the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league's top first year player. Beck thoroughly enjoyed his time in the Mile High State.
However, in issue Number 2 in February 1889 carried the story about a pantomime and concert at the school – a complete success that befittingly crowned the exertions and careful organisations of its promoter, Miss Boys. A full-dress rehearsal of the piece was given on the previous evening to the Sunday School. Children were not invited in vain, a tea feast (generously given by Mrs. Kirby) winding up an extra-special treat, which coming as a surprise was all the more thoroughly enjoyed.
In 1923 he was a founding artist member of the Grand Central Art Galleries in New York and he was chosen in its initial lottery offering with such artists as John Singer Sargent. Soon after he began to maintain a studio in New York and in 1925 Grand Central began representing him in his portrait art. Seyffert's sense of humor and congenial manner came from his roots as an immigrant child. He was determined and thoroughly enjoyed the company of his sitters.
It is unlikely to improve Sudoku puzzle-solving skills, but Keith Devlin writes that Sudoku players can still gain "a deeper appreciation for the puzzle they love". However, reviewer Nicola Tilt is unsure of the book's audience, writing that "the content may be deemed a little simplistic for mathematicians, and a little too diverse for real puzzle enthusiasts". Reviewer David Bevan calls the book "beautifully produced", "well written", and "highly recommended". Reviewer Mark Hunacek calls it "a delightful book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading".
Following the Straitjacket Fits reunion tour of 2005, Carter returned to playing guitar with more traditional rock line-ups. > "My first albums as Dimmer were quiet and introverted as a kickback against > all that rock glory. But Dimmer’s been going a while now and when I went > back and felt that rock glory, I thoroughly enjoyed it". > \- Shayne Carter, September 2006 Despite changing away from the electronic music-making approach of the first two Dimmer albums, Carter kept the name for this new phase.
In his N3rdabl3 review, Richardson wrote that All the Delicate Duplicates: "...has certainly left a mark. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with a game that I could see kick start a new form of storytelling.” When reviewing the game for Digital Fix, Jazz Moore comments on the experimental nature of the game by comparing it to Salvador Dali's painting ‘The Persistence of Memory’, and by stating: "Games such as these...test the waters by exploring new ways to present interactive experiences and weave narrative.
Strong's successor was Edmund Gosse, the well-known literary critic and bibliophile, and during his decade in charge the Library stock underwent something of a transformation. Gosse thoroughly enjoyed his time as Librarian, as the post gave him the perfect means to pursue his own interests. He purchased books covering a much wider range of subject matter than any of his predecessors, acquiring many works of English and French literature and history. He also bought Greek and Latin works, and had the Library's collection of English Civil War-era pamphlets lavishly bound together.
It premiered in the United States on January 14, 2010, on Fox, to 6.529 million viewers and a 2.6 share 18–49. The episode received average reviews, as many critics compared it either negatively or positively to a B-movie, though most agreed that it seemed to be rehashed from older The X-Files episodes. Several of the main actors, however, thoroughly enjoyed the episode; Noble named it one of his favorite Fringe episodes. Critics also noted the popular culture references to The Wizard of Oz (1939), Deliverance (1972), and Joseph Merrick.
She also became the academic advisor to all female students and thoroughly enjoyed the role of "mother" that she was able to play here to all of her students. Dr. Wood also held the title "Dean of Women", making her the first woman to receive the title Dean at the university. Another early woman was Lucille Brinkman who was one of the first girls to do all of her degree work at Michigan College of Mines. Lucille's brother helped her though school and later gave an interview about her to the Daily Mining Gazette.
The episode received generally positive reviews. The A.V. Club writer Leonard Pierce said the story in "Christmas Scandal" was so busy that it risked running awry, but was kept together by a number of strong comedic moments and subplots. Pierce particularly enjoyed watching the parks department scrambling to do Leslie's work, and the chemistry between both April and Andy, and Leslie and Dave. Alan Sepinwall, television columnist with The Star-Ledger, said he "thoroughly enjoyed" the episode, especially the subplot of the parks department employees realizing how much work Leslie does due to her absence.
"Being a born internationalist I thoroughly enjoyed this outcome and thought it a good omen." György Ligeti, Krzysztof Penderecki, Alexander Goehr, Aribert Reimann, and Lili Wieruszowski have all been published by Schott. This close collaboration continues to support the work of many distinguished composers, from Henri Dutilleux to Mark-Anthony Turnage. Peter Eötvös recently joined Schott, as well as several young composers during the last years: Chaya Czernowin, Joe Duddell, Moritz Eggert, Kenneth Hesketh, Christian Jost, Tatjana Komarova, Nicholas Lens, Olli Mustonen, Benjamin Schweitzer, Jörg Widmann and Lei Liang.
Tramp's bass player Bob Brunning, Fleetwood Mac's first bassist,Brunning, B (1998): Fleetwood Mac – The First 30 Years. London: Omnibus Press p9 said he had "thoroughly enjoyed" working with Kirwan during the Tramp sessions and remembered him being "extremely friendly and cooperative." In his 1998 history of the band, Brunning said Kirwan was "a talented and soulful musician" who had contributed much fine work to Fleetwood Mac's repertoire. He recalled that when his bass amplifier was stolen in 1969, Kirwan had given him a vintage Marshall amp as a replacement.
The special tram left the Outer Harbor at 5 p.m. amid cheers from the steamer's passengers, and not long afterwards the mail boat resumed her voyage to Melbourne. Everyone present thoroughly enjoyed the trip, which was made particularly pleasurable by the excellent arrangements of Mr Anderson for the convenience of his guests." Details of the crew were provided in a report of her arrival in Melbourne (18 August 1909): "With names obliterated it would be impossible to distinguish the R.M.S. Orsova from her consort Otway, which arrived yesterday.
Cule published five volumes of public school stories, which went through numerous reprints. All are good-humoured and entertaining stories with plots that often turn on the personal foibles of the characters, whether boys or schoolmasters. Cule is a moralist but a genial one: his stories uphold the public school values of honesty, generosity, sportsmanship and service to others. Typical of these is Barfield’s Blazer, described by one reviewer as “... a volume to be greatly prized and thoroughly enjoyed, the entire series of stories affording delicious reading accompanied by rare hearty schoolboy fun.
In 1878 it was completed and named Shintomi-za. (Yuichiro) The grand reopening ceremony took place on 7 June 1878 attended by the then Chief Minister Prince Sanjō Sanetomi (三条 実美). (Skingle) The Shintomi-za was furnished with Western chairs designed for Western visitors and gas lighting for the stage. A member of the British Legation in Tōkyō, Thomas Russell Hillier McClatchie, attended the opening ceremony and by all accounts he thoroughly enjoyed watching the opening night performances and later wrote to his mother and friends about it.
After startling many of the other passengers due to his apparent lack of concern of the danger to his life as he wanders on the outside of the plane, the pilot opens up the cargo bay door so Magoo can get back inside. Promptly finding the robber, Magoo returns his briefcase and keys the policeman onto the identity of the robber. After the plane lands, Magoo comments to the stewardess that he thoroughly enjoyed watching his first 3-D movie. The only thing that bothered Magoo was that there was no cartoon before the movie.
Although Richard Corliss of Time thoroughly enjoyed the film, he felt that too much emphasis was placed on Flynn Rider and not enough on Rapunzel. Corliss questioned the future of Disney's animated heroines, writing, "For 60 years ... girls were the focal characters who could be expected to come of age, triumph over adversity and, in general, man up," and accused various film studios of "abolish[ing] female-centered stories." Variety's Justin Chang described Rapunzel as a "bland, plastic" heroine, likening her to a Barbie doll. Similarly, Tom Huddleston of Time Out described Rapunzel as "bland".
Kelley overheard Belushi discussing the Saturday Night Live parody of Star Trek with William Shatner, and mentioned to both of them that he had not yet seen the sketch. Belushi immediately escorted Kelley to his office on the lot and had him watch it on videotape. Kelley thoroughly enjoyed it, especially Belushi's impression of Captain Kirk. He later remarked that he had trouble going back to act on the Star Trek set in a scene opposite Shatner because he could not stop laughing remembering the Saturday Night Live parody and Belushi's portrayal.
Judge Constance Harm is a parody of Judge Judy. The writing staff contributed a rough outline for the episode, and Meyer and Scully went into one of the writer's room and "basically, kind of locked [themselves] in for five days" writing the episode. Meyer and Scully both thoroughly enjoyed the writing process of the episode; "It really came together easily", stated Meyer, "...because we had known each other so long and were comfortable with each other's style". Ian Maxtone-Graham, one of the writers for The Simpsons, commented that the draft Meyer and Scully had written was "awfully good".
Flanagan wrote that his father's experience as a Japanese prisoner of war influenced him to write the book. The character of Evans was also partially based on the Australian hero Edward “Weary” Dunlop, an Australian Army doctor who struggled despite overwhelming odds to care for the men who suffered and died during the construction of the Burma Death Railroad. Like Dorrigo, Dunlop bargained with the Japanese officers in attempts to improve conditions for the "living skeletons" that were his fellow POWs. And like Dorrigo, Dunlop found that many of the Japanese and Korean guards were sadists who thoroughly enjoyed inflicting misery on others.
Compared with the main part of the Downs to the east of it, it is a narrow elongated ridge, hence its name. Jane Austen, in a letter to her sister Cassandra dated Thursday 20 May 1813 from her brother's house in Sloane Street, wrote of her journey to London in a curricle via "the Hog's-back" :"Upon the whole it was an excellent journey & very thoroughly enjoyed by me; the weather was delightful the greatest part of the day. ... I never saw the country from the Hogsback so advantageously." This shows that it was known as the Hog's Back by Jane Austen's time.
In 2015, Yong Mei appeared in Hou Hsiao-hsien's film The Assassin (or Assassin Nie Yinniang), in which she plays the mother of the title character, Nie Yinniang. The production lasted from 2012 to 2014; she thoroughly enjoyed the experience and held the film in high regard. She did not accept a major role for the next few years for lack of a suitable script that met her standard for quality. The next major film she appeared in was So Long, My Son, directed by Wang Xiaoshuai, in which she portrays a mother who has lost her only son.
"Weekend at Burnsie's" is the second episode Vitti wrote in which a character forgets to vote at an election, and the second episode he wrote in which Homer takes a chemical that causes him to be promoted by Burns and run into conflict with Smithers. "You can't do anything for the first time at this point", Vitti quipped. Producer and former showrunner Mike Reiss has stated that he thoroughly enjoyed working on "Weekend at Burnsie's". "I gotta say, this was the most fun I ever had working on an episode", he said in the episode's DVD commentary.
Littlehales was born in Wellington, Shropshire and started his football career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, before joining Stoke in August 1892. On 26 April 1893, he was part of the Stoke team which visited the County Ground to play a friendly match against Southampton St Mary's. Even with the future founder of football in Brazil, Charles Miller playing at outside-left, the "Saints" were "outplayed fairly and squarely on every point", losing 8–0. Despite the result, it was reported that the spectators "thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition" and looked forward to witnessing "more matches of a similar character" in future.
In the May–June 1984 edition of Space Gamer (Issue No. 69), Ed Rotondaro gave a favorable review, saying, "I thoroughly enjoyed The Forever War. The game plays fast, and really captures the spirit of the novel upon which it is based. Mayfair has a winner here and gamers who buy it will get their money's worth." In the August 1984 edition of Dragon (Issue #87), Steve List was less positive, pointing out that in addition to the land- based infantry combat found in this game, Haldeman's novel also covered spaceship combat, which this game does not.
Jim Key could add, subtract, use a cash register, spell with blocks, tell time and give opinions on the politics of the day by shaking his head yes or no. Jim thoroughly enjoyed his "act"—he performed more than just tricks and appeared to clearly understand what was going on. Dr. Key's motto was that Jim "was taught by kindness" instead of the whip, which he was indeed.Rivas, Mim Eichler, "Beautiful Jim Key: The Lost History of a Horse and a Man Who Changed the World," 1st ed, HarperCollins, 2006 Natural History exhibit at the 1904 World's Fair, St. Louis.
Mann had previously performed as Javert in Les Misérables, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. For his final audition for Disney management, Mann performed for a large audience comprising Disney executives and secretaries in a theatre located on 42nd Street, which he felt was in stark contrast to the usual method of auditioning for six to eight people in a dark theatre. Actor Gary Beach was cast as Lumiere. Beach had seen Beauty and the Beast premiere at the El Capitan Theatre, prior to which he had watched a stage rendition of the film, and thoroughly enjoyed both.
He also brought back the ancient practice of alternation during the singing of hymns. He started doing this at weekly services at Mt. Olive, eventually exposing a wider audience to it through hymn festivals. Paul’s idea for the hymn festival began to germinate when he presented annual organ recitals at Mt. Olive: “I would always begin and end with a hymn; many people would come to those recitals, and I found that they thoroughly enjoyed singing the hymns. So finally, instead of doing a recital with a hymn at the beginning and the end, I did a program with hymns only.
Hunt made his league debut for Brighton on 17 September against Burton Albion, coming on for Bruno in the 73rd minute. After making his debut, Hunt was quoted as saying: "It was a great experience and I'm just delighted to have made my league debut after coming here when I was 15 or 16. It was a great experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it." Following his good performance in the EFL Cup and the development squad in the first half of the 2017–18 season, Hunt signed a contract with the club, keeping him until 2018.
" He continued to say: "I've had a great time playing Warren and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Hollyoaks cast where I've made some brilliant friends and worked with some great people." Following the announcement of Warren's return in October 2010, Jamie Lomas was asked whether he thought the character would have changed since his last appearance. He replied, "I don't think you can really change a character like Warren. I think it would be a little boring if he came back as some sort of softie but, like I say, there are new people around now for him to bounce off.
Now famous, Merrill thoroughly enjoyed his celebrity and loved the nightlife and hobnobbed with both the famous and infamous. Although earning a good salary, he habitually was broke due to gambling. He had become a fixture at the parties of the rich and famous, and it was at one of these that he met Toby Wing, a chorus girl who became a movie star, appearing in 52 features and shorts. The two married in Tijuana in 1938, but her parents objected to this sort of marriage, so they were married a second time at the home of Sidney Shannon, an early Eastern Air Lines investor.
His name was Peter Doherty, a player who went on to become one of his country's greatest-ever footballers. The planned regular link-up of Hampson, Doherty and Bobby Finan, who had joined the club from non-League football, did not become a realisation due to injuries to one or the other. For the beginning of the 1935–36 season, the Blackpool board appointed former Reading manager Joe Smith to the Bloomfield Road hot seat, a seat he would occupy for the next 23 years. Smith was a relaxed man who thoroughly enjoyed his football, and this showed in the teams that he produced at Bloomfield Road over the years.
They later learn that the money is in the possession of their neighbour, Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), who eventually gives it back to them. When Mason is later arrested for another armed robbery, the Turner family is thrown "into chaos" and "a heartsick" Bailey confesses that he was also involved in the Mount Isa robbery, which in turn forces Matt to admit to Lauren that he covered up for Bailey. Both Bailey and Matt decide to tell the police about their involvement in the robbery and they face prosecution. Mackenzie commented that he "thoroughly enjoyed" his family's storylines upon their arrival, particularly the aftermath of the Mount Isa robbery.
Kolan also saw this as a shortcoming, criticizing a lack of online leaderboard features for the competitive multiplayer modes. Conversely, Wales did not see this omission as a major issue, arguing that sociality was a primary aspect that made the multiplayer enjoyable and that it was wise not to include the feature because of Nintendo's poor-quality online service, though they noted that a leaderboard would have been an admirable addition. GameSpy also gave the game leeway for its lack of online play, arguing that the medium is a primarily competitive experience whereas New Super Mario Bros. Wii required a cooperative experience in order to be thoroughly enjoyed.
After a wedding trip to Philadelphia, a White House reception, and a stay at Sherwood Forest, an estate the president had recently acquired for his retirement, the newlyweds returned to Washington. Although her husband was often visibly fatigued, his youthful wife thoroughly enjoyed the duties of First Lady. The anthem "Hail to the Chief" had been played at a number of events associated with the arrival or presence of the President of the United States before Julia Tyler became First Lady, but she ordered its regular use to announce the arrival of the President. It became established practice when her successor, Sarah Childress Polk did likewise.
Ron Selesky, the Vipers' director of operations and who held the same role with the Birmingham Iron, recommended Thompson to Vipers tight end coach Pete Mangurian, who invited him to try out for the team. On March 1, 2020, during a game against the DC Defenders, Thompson made an acrobatic catch and fell forward for a 13-yard gain after DC safety Rahim Moore deflected the ball in the air. The XFL season was suspended after Week 5 due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Thompson said he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He had his contract terminated when the league suspended operations on April 10, 2020.
Jim Kaz of IGN gave the season a similar score at 8/10. While at first hesitant of the series, believing it to be "another horror/sci-fi/occult hybrid currently igniting ratings", he found the "eerie and intricate storylines" to overcome the "initial impressions of Clearasil ads and Paris Hilton in House of Wax". Praising the cliffhangers and the brotherly chemistry between the lead actors, Kaz deemed Supernatural "one- helluva edge-of-your-seat, ball-burner of a series with a forceful script, excellent acting (said pretty boys included) and some fine special effects". Maureen Ryan of the Chicago Tribune thoroughly enjoyed the season, and "really, really liked" the Roadhouse.
Donogh Rees was cast as the role of Judy and thoroughly enjoyed the majority of the show but found that Judy also had long sections where she had very little to do and thus became bored. She stated, "Often there are few roles for actor's as they approach their middle age, so it's lovely to be working alongside a number of other mature actors, as well as the established cast, of course. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and I feel we've become a really strong, cohesive unit in a relatively short period of time." Rees found it tedious how so little of Judy's private life was exposed.
" Indeed, Terry Eastham of LondonTheatre1.com also gave a very positive review, commenting, "The production itself was excellent. From the silent hooded figures standing at the side of the auditorium as we walked in, through to the end, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. All of the songs were great (I’m listening to the soundtrack on Spotify as I write this) and delivered by an extremely strong and talented cast whose voices, particularly in the duets, complemented each other wonderfully." The Upcoming labels it as having, " a pretty score and fine performances from the principal actors," but picks up on the storyline, saying, "the bleak subject matter may limit the show’s appeal.
Otherwise, his performance was average, though he thoroughly enjoyed the typical emphasis of engineering on science and mathematics. In athletics, Eisenhower later said that "not making the baseball team at West Point was one of the greatest disappointments of my life, maybe my greatest". He made the varsity football team and was a starter as running back and linebacker in 1912, when he tackled the legendary Jim Thorpe of the Carlisle Indians. Eisenhower suffered a torn knee while being tackled in the next game, which was the last he played; he re-injured his knee on horseback and in the boxing ring,Eisenhower, Dwight D. (1967).
St. Mary's were without captain George Carter but were able to call on the services of 18-year-old Charles Miller. Miller had made his debut for St. Mary's a year earlier, but was later to achieve fame as the "father of Brazilian football". Another large crowd, "packed around the ropes like peas in a pod (with) the grandstand full to overflowing" witnessed a comprehensive defeat, with Stoke winning 8–0 as the Saints were "outplayed fairly and squarely on every point". Despite the defeat, the spectators "thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition, and it is hoped that we shall witness more matches of a similar character".
Ferrone thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Heartbreakers, saying that "everyone should have an experience like 'The Heartbreakers' in their musical life: creativity, passion, honesty, integrity and a lot of fun." In November 2002, Ferrone founded Drumroll Studios in Burbank, California, with producer John Jones, who he had worked with since Duran Duran's "Ordinary World" in 1992. Later, they were joined by guitarist and producer Steve Postell and they recorded and produced albums and tracks for a wide variety of musical acts, as well as film and TV scores. Ferrone released a live solo album entitled It Up: Steve Ferrone and Friends Live at La Ve Lee in 2003.
It was announced on 29 March 2008 that Jonny was being written out of the programme, and it was reported that Grieve had been axed by series producer Anita Turner, in addition to the axing of characters Grayson Sinclair and Perdita Hyde-Sinclair. Before this there was already reports of low morale, and the axing apparently caused friction on set. At the time Grieve said that while he had "thoroughly enjoyed the role" he thought "the time is right to move on." In December 2008, it was announced that Jonny would be returning to Emmerdale to play a part in the departure of Paul.
Producer Steven Zanoski thought the storyline was contemporary, stating; "We have shown that drugs know no socio economic boundaries and even an educated medical student from a wealthy background can fall victim. The storyline has shown that drugs destroy lives and this year's cliff-hanger showcases this, all while providing us with some of the best performances of 2011." Director – Katherine McRae, enjoyed the development of Hunter's drug addiction, stating; "It was such a change from his original character, but over the months the writers have built a credible and involving story and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Lee on this journey." The 2011 season concluded with Hunter and drug addict friend, Bailey, robbing a pharmacy.
Two years later he constructed his mansion house by Ullswater. He remained a bachelor all his life but had many visitors some of whom described his residence in their memoirs. Llewellynn Jewitt, a noted illustrator, said: :"One of the most glorious and lovely spots on the banks of this lake is Sharrow Bay, the charming home of Mr. Anthony Parkin, whose pure taste has surrounded it with every accessory that can render it attractive, and filled it with a wealth of Art worthy of such a shrine. From here Ullswater is seen to wondrous advantage and its ever changing beauties can be thoroughly enjoyed."Llewellyn Frederick William Jewitt, 1882 “The Life and Works of Jacob Thompson”, p. 38.
Mandache, Dearest Missy, p. 137 Upon her husband's ascension to the Ducal throne, Maria Alexandrovna became Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, in addition to being Duchess of Edinburgh.Mandache, Dearest Missy, p. 71 Unlike her husband, disgruntled to leave his career in the navy, Maria Alexandrovna thoroughly enjoyed her new role. She found the country "charming" and the prospect of "a new fine position, with plenty to do" a "real God- send".Mandache, Dearest Missy, p. 136 Known for its hunting forest and picturesque castles, the ducal estate was small, compromising separate lands in Coburg, Gotha, Upper Austria, and Tyrol, but there she could live according to her desires in a domain of her own.
He liked people and thoroughly enjoyed teaching them to shoot, and he let that show, nurturing his students and letting them know that he was on their side. All of those factors combined to give the student great confidence. As the student pulled the trigger, McDaniel would have him change his focus from the aerial target (initially, the big flat-washer) to a point two feet beyond the muzzle of the BB gun. There the student would pick up and track the flight of the BB he had fired and register the direction in which his BB missed the target (using an imaginary clock-face with the target at the center) and the distance of the miss.
In this episode, the office hosts a casino night, to which Michael Scott (Carell) inadvertently invites two dates. Meanwhile, Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) decides to transfer to Dunder Mifflin's Stamford branch and reveals to Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) his feelings for her. The episode was the first of the series to run as a "supersized" episode, featuring twenty-eight minutes and twenty seconds of content rather than the standard twenty minutes and thirty seconds. In addition, the episode was the first of the series to be written by Carell; he had suggested the idea for the episode to executive producer Greg Daniels, who thoroughly enjoyed the idea and green lit the script.
Londo's closest friend is his attache Vir Cotto. Initially, the two had a comically adversarial relationship: Vir was guileless, naive and extremely honest and empathetic, making him completely inept at Centauri political process, which irked Londo no end. Londo thoroughly enjoyed tormenting him with outrageous demands and workloads in an attempt to train him to be a more efficient Centauri, but over the course of The Shadow War, the Earth Civil War, and the rebuilding of Centauri, the two became almost inseparable. Though Londo never truly abandons his playful condescension towards Vir for his beneficence and even disagrees with his empathy at times, Londo admires and envies Vir's innocence and respects his opinion and assistance throughout his career.
Jon Otsemobor (born 23 March 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a right back. Born in Liverpool, he began his career with hometown club Liverpool He also played for Hull City, Bolton Wanderers, Crewe Alexandra, Rotherham United, Norwich City, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Milton Keynes Dons and Tranmere Rovers. He made headlines at the age of 20 when as an innocent bystander he was shot in the buttocks by an armed gang-member gunman in a Liverpool nightclub. As a footballer, he gained cult-hero status at the MK Dons for his "Heel of God" goal and upon leaving the club he described it as "one of the only clubs I've thoroughly enjoyed being at".
In most other years, a contract for the opening six weeks of the season would involve playing four to six championship matches, some but not all FPT matches and no Twenty20, but the scheduling for 2009 had to accommodate ICC World Twenty20 and the eventually- cancelled Stanford Super Series. Despite Hughes holding an Italian passport by virtue of his Italian mother, Middlesex resisted signing him up as a Kolpak player and instead signed him as a foreign player. He enjoyed strong success in England, scoring 574 runs in his three first-class matches, including three hundreds, at an average of 143.50. Of his time at Middlesex, Hughes commented: > I thoroughly enjoyed it and the preparation has been great.
Field with Joanne Woodward in Sybil (1976) Field got her start on television as the boy-crazy surfer girl in the sitcom Gidget (1965–1966). The show was not an initial success and was cancelled after a single season; however, summer reruns garnered respectable ratings, making the show a belated success. Wanting to find a new starring vehicle for Field, ABC next produced The Flying Nun with Field cast as Sister Bertrille for three seasons, from 1967 to 1970. In an interview included on the Season One DVD release, Field said that she thoroughly enjoyed Gidget, but hated The Flying Nun, because she was not treated with respect by the show's directors.
He signed a two-year contract with Oxford the following month after stating that "I thoroughly enjoyed last season". He ruptured two ligaments on the eve of the new season and was ruled out of action for three months. His injury left him unable to feature under manager Pep Clotet, and with the arrival of Robert Dickie caretaker-manager Derek Fazackerley felt that he had enough cover at centre-back to allow Raglan to look for game time elsewhere. On 30 January 2018, he re-joined former club Port Vale in League Two on loan until the end of the 2017–18 season; manager Neil Aspin had quickly needed a centre-back to replace the recalled loanee Tom Anderson.
He also announced he would participate, if required, in England's summer friendlies and the 2007 Rugby World Cup, before retiring completely from the sport. His last game for Sale Sharks came at home to Bath on Friday 13 April. Robinson said, "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sale Sharks but the time has come to move on to other things. I want my last game for Sale Sharks to be a home game (v Bath) and want to be able to say a big thank you to the supporters of this great club." On 13 April 2007, Robinson ended his club career with a match-winning try 6 seconds from time as Sale edged past Bath in the Guinness Premiership.
This was an extremely difficult calculation, requiring more than a year of intense effort from both men; the agreement between their result and the experimental measurements was the first, dramatic confirmation of QED. Karplus continued his work at the highest level in theoretical physics for more than 10 years, at Harvard from 1950 to 1954 and then at the University of California, Berkeley, publishing 50 research papers, mostly in QED but also in other areas of physics, including the Hall effect, Van Allen radiation, and cosmic rays. He also thoroughly enjoyed experimental work, investigating the chemistry of Land Camera instant pictures and setting up an experimental germanium purification assembly line for transistors. His paper, with J. M. Luttinger, Hall Effect in Ferromagnetics has over 1100 journal citations.
He introduced the game as "a detailed economic / diplomatic / political / military simulation of the unification of Japan in the Sixteenth Century." He praised the graphics for being "among the best that this reviewer has ever seen for the IBM" and the 5x10 hex map battles, and noted that it used role-playing game elements, including assigning various statistics to a selected persona, a time system where each turn represents a year, as the daimyo ages and eventually dies of old age, and a multiplayer option. He stated that he "thoroughly enjoyed Nobunaga's Ambition", concluded with a "Highly Recommended" rating, Compute! similarly praised the IBM PC version, calling it "one of the best strategic war games ever designed for a personal computer" and citing the game play, user interface, and documentation.
We don't really know if Dales' story is true or if it's the liquor-fueled ramblings of a broken-down man, but in the end, this is irrelevant." Melissa Runstrom from Michigan Daily called it a "charming independent story," but that it "seems to say more about the human condition than about any extraterrestrial plot". Tom Kessenich, in his book Examinations: An Unauthorized Look at Seasons 6–9 of the X-Files wrote, "In his entertaining debut as an X-Files writer/director, Duchovny took us down a very familiar path this season: [humor]. But unlike some previous navigators, Duchovny stayed on course, made sure we saw all of the spectacular landmarks along the way and, when we reached our final destination, I found I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
C&D; summarized: "The Corvette was a big hit–we expected and thoroughly enjoyed that–but we were surprised at how well it withstood the ordeal...once we recovered from the trip we conceded that we'd developed new respect for a car we'd long regarded as something of a put on. In every sense of the word, our Yukon Corvette proved to be tough and we'd have to say that even the production versions impressed us as coming closer to being real touring cars than we might ever have thought. There's a lot more sincere ring now to our stock answer to the question, Why a Corvette?" Car & Driver-February, March 1976 1977 Corvette Coupe 1977 saw the steering column repositioned closer to the dashboard to allow a more "arms out" position for the driver.
On July 4 or 5, 1825, the vessel Restauration sailed from Stavanger, Norway, for the United States, with 45 emigrants aboard. According to what The New York Times deemed "bacchanalian" legends of its passage, the expedition anchored off an English coastal village and traded ashore some of its rum, only to depart in haste when local officials took an interest. Off Madeira, expedition leader Lars Larsen is said to have fished a cask from the sea, which proved to be filled with rare wine that was thoroughly enjoyed by those aboard. After they arrived in New York on October 9, the ship was seized pursuant to a court order, as the passengers exceeded the permitted number for a ship of its size by 21, counting a baby girl born to the Larsens en route.
On 26 April 1893, he was part of the St. Mary's team who played a friendly against Stoke of the Football League at the County Ground. Amongst Stoke's players were Charles Baker, Willie Naughton, Lachie Thomson and Alf Littlehales, all of whom were to move to Southampton within two years. Taylor made his competitive debut in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round on 4 November 1893, when Southampton defeated Uxbridge 3–1, with Taylor scoring the "Saints" first goal.
The many accounts of conversations in the Journal were aided by Edmond's excellent memory, and, according to Flaubert, by Jules' habit of jotting notes on his shirt-cuff on the spot. Ludovic Halévy, who was present at many of these conversations, gave the brothers credit for extreme accuracy, and similarly the narrator of Proust's Le Temps retrouvé thought that Edmond de Goncourt "knew how to listen, just as he knew how to see"; but some among the Goncourts' contemporaries claimed that the brothers either consciously or unconsciously distorted the conversations they recorded. The painter Jacques Blanche, for example, said that "nothing is less true than their journals", though André Gide, who thoroughly enjoyed the Journal's accounts of conversations, retorted that that would make the Goncourts' achievement as original artists all the greater.
The consumption of paan has long been a very popular cultural tradition throughout Pakistan, especially in Muhajir households, where numerous paans were consumed throughout the day.Meetha or saada, Karachi's love for paan is unmatched In general, though, paan is an occasional delicacy thoroughly enjoyed by many, and almost exclusively bought from street vendors instead of any preparations at home. Pakistan grows a large variety of betel leaf, specifically in the coastal areas of Sindh,Betel-leaf farming in coastal area although paan is imported in large quantities from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and, recently, Thailand. The paan business is famously handled and run by muhajir traders, who migrated from western India to Pakistan after the independence in 1947 (also cite pg 60, of Pakistan, By Samuel Willard Crompton, Charles F. Gritzner).
The "Saints", who included the 18-year-old Charles Miller (considered to be the father of football in Brazil) in their line-up, were "outplayed fairly and squarely on every point", although the spectators "thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition" and looked forward to witnessing "more matches of a similar character" in future. Also playing for Stoke were Alf Littlehales, Willie Naughton and Lachie Thomson, all of whom were to move to Southampton within two years. In the summer of 1894, along with fellow Stoke players Lachie Thomson and Alf Littlehales, he was persuaded to move to the south coast, where Southampton were about to embark on their first season in the new Southern League. He was appointed the first team captain and "his surges down the right wing made him a favourite with the Southampton faithful".

Naughton moved to the south coast in April 1895 to join Southampton, prior to the start of their second season in the Southern League. Naughton made his debut at inside-right for the opening match of the season, a 1–0 defeat at champions Millwall, retaining his place for the remainder of the season, missing only one league match.
Brew was appointed curator of southwestern archaeology at the Peabody Museum in 1941 and the curator of North American archaeology in 1945. Brew also taught, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and made sure his students were actively enjoying the classroom as much as he was. These positions left Brew ample time to pursue his love for archaeological research and never interfered with his work. In 1948 he was appointed director of the Peabody Museum.Woodbury, Richard B.(1990)Obituary: John Otis Brew, 1906–1988. American Antiquity 55:454. In 1945 the Committee for the Recovery of Archaeological Remains, known as CRAR, was formed. The committee was appointed by the Society for American Archaeology, the American Anthropological Association and the American Council of Learned Societies and consisted of William S. Webb, A.V. Kidder, Frederick Johnson, and John Otis Brew (as the chairman).
In 1946 she won the Ballarat Crouch Prize for Painting with her painting Mother and Child and returned to New York to attend the New York School for New Design. In 1954, PIX magazine described her as "having a feeling for colour and design" and had "gay paintings hanging in New York and most National Galleries in Australia". The same year Haxton designed costumes and scenery for the Borovansky Ballet's touring production of Los Tres Diabolos based on Offenbach's opera. When Haxton undertook to create and design both costumes and the theatre sets, she felt "a bit appalled at taking on such a tremendous job - especially as I was preparing for my one-man exhibition at the time", and after ensuring that her ideas were practical, "I set to work and have thoroughly enjoyed doing it".
As of female lead, the award-winning actress Sanam Saeed who is well known for her roles in shows like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Dayar-e-Dil, Mera Naseeb and Firaaq was selected to portray the role of an Indian girl named Alia. It was Saeed's film debut in Baachana, when asked if she had bid adieu to television, she stated I can not leave television as it has given me an identity and fame, but it is true that I have not signed any project lately because I have been busy with this film and other projects. It was Actress's first comedy role for which she said “I thoroughly enjoyed the script and Aalia’s character, she was very unlike the roles I had played before. All of us in whatever way we can are wanting to and trying to bridge the gaps and differences between India and Pakistan.
With a click of her camera shutter, Setsuko easily sends her victims into cerebral pseudo- realities of her own custom design that are very difficult to reverse. Setsuko was once a B.A.B.E.L. agent who became bored with the work as a Special Esper and sought greater excitement and euphoria. Considering how she thoroughly enjoyed all the headaches her subterfuge is causing B.A.B.E.L. when Hyobu charges cerebral subjugation of Minamoto to use as a coercion device on Kaoru, it seems that P.A.N.D.R.A. meets this necessity for Setsuko. The only flaw in Setsuko's insurgency against B.A.B.E.L. is that the mechanics of Shiho's psychometry are a close match for those of her hypnotic photography and that Shiho (who fired a bullet right into her camera lens) can establish a direct sight line with her psychometry just as well as with her eyes if the quarry is at the same elevation.
On 26 April 1893, he was part of a Stoke side who were invited to play a friendly match against Southampton St Mary's, played at the County Cricket ground in Northlands Road, Southampton. Also playing for Stoke were Charles Baker, Willie Naughton and Alf Littlehales, all of whom were to move to Southampton within two years. Although Underwood had effectively retired in the summer of 1893 (making only two further appearances for Stoke), Thomson now found his way into the first-team blocked by Billy Dickson, who had been moved back from inside-right.
Harper also said he had erred in calling for Canada's participation in the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, saying "It was absolutely an error, it's obviously clear", adding that the claim of weapons of mass destruction proved false. Commenting on the debate, Layton said that he "thoroughly enjoyed" May's contributions to the debate. Reporter Julie Van Dusen said that Harper managed to take the hits calmly, as "someone must have told him ... if you fight back or get too partisan, you're going to alienate voters, especially women". Duceppe said he was happy to have forced Harper to admit his support of joining the Iraq war in 2003 was a mistake, adding he will use the admission in the campaign as "Exhibit A" that the Conservative leader lacks solid judgment skills, and that Harper was weakened when he confirmed he does not support a refundable tax credit for the manufacturing industry to encourage companies to improve productivity.
Of his time at the club Clough said "I have thoroughly enjoyed the year, it has been hard work but I've relished it. We know we haven't made progress as quickly as we would have hoped, mainly because of the injuries that have hampered us right from pre-season. We still believe we can achieve a good position this season in the Championship and build on that from there." With the winter storms of 2010, Derby's home match against Scunthorpe was one of only four Championship fixtures to go ahead on the weekend of the 9/10 January. The match saw the Rams crash to their third straight home defeat, and their biggest of the season, with a 4–1 loss and saw goalscorer Kris Commons admit that the club were in a relegation battle and Clough described it as his "lowest moment", equating it to the 2–0 home defeat by Q.P.R. in his first game in charge.
