The Kotcho Formation reaches a maximum thickness of .It is up to thick in the Fort Nelson area, and thins down southwards, disappearing completely on the northern flank of the Peace River Arch.

The crowded but scattered evergreen phyllodes are patent to inclined with a lanceolate to narrowly triangular shape that is straight to shallowly recurved. The glossy dark green phyllodes have a length of and a width of and are pungent and rigid with a prominent midrib. The tip of the phyllode slowly thins down to a long reddish coloured spine. When it blooms it produces inflorescences that occur singly along rudimentary racemes.

The formation of open sores on the rabbit's hocks, commonly called sore hocks, is a problem that commonly afflicts mostly heavy-weight rabbits kept in cages with wire flooring or soiled solid flooring. The problem is most prevalent in rex-furred rabbits and heavy-weight rabbits (over ), as well as those with thin foot bristles. The condition results when, over the course of time, the protective bristle-like fur on the rabbit's hocks thins down. Standing urine or other unsanitary cage conditions can exacerbate the problem by irritating the sensitive skin.

I-275 has an interchange with SR 589, allowing access to Tampa International Airport. At this point, I-275 thins down to three lanes in either direction, and remains this way for the rest of the freeway. 275 then has an interchange with US 92, the first of two interchanges with the road, allowing access to downtown Tampa. 275 then crosses the Hillsborough River for the first time along its route. Afterwards, from its entry into Tampa, I-275 has its next major interchange with Interstate 4, a junction known locally as Malfunction Junction.
