Sopa Teologa (Theologic soup) also known as "Priest's Soup" and "sopa de festiva"Cultural and Historical Geography of Southwest Guatemala, Issues 4-5 at Google Books is a traditional soup in Trujillo. Because it includes bread in the ingredients, and because it has an attributed religious origin, it is called theologic. It is made of white bread, potatoes, tomatoes, sliced cheese and milk. It can have chicken or turkey meat, sometimes both.

It is characterized by large twin columns, which divide the three naves and the cupola. The main altarpiece depicts St Julian intercedes with the Madonna and Child to ease the plague(1786) by Cristoforo Unterberger. Below the second story choir loft are canvases (1602) by Filippo Bellini. The spandrels of the apse were painted with the Religion and the Theologic virtues (1938) by Silvio Galimberti.

The interior contains a holy water font attributed to the studio of Cosimo Fanzago. In 1760, the floor was decorated in maiolica tiles. In 1766, the ceiling was frescoed by Vincenzo Diano with the Glorification of the Church (1784). The nave ceiling was painted by Fedele Fischetti, depicting a Glory of Saint Catherine, and in the tribune, God the Father and the Evangelists, and in the lunettes above the altar, the Cardinal and Theologic virtues.

Adsit was a regular contributor to the columns of the New York City Baptist Register, the Boston Recorder, the New- York Tribune and the Western Literary Messenger. Her earlier work was mostly in the line of poetic effusions and several series of "lay sermons" under the signature of "Probus." These sermons aroused intense antagonism in clerical circles, on account of their latitudinarianism on theologic questions. Heated and prolonged discussions followed each publication.

Theo moved to Hollyoaks where he set up the village's first gadget shop Theologic, which supplied some of the strangest devices. Friendly and well-liked, Theo was someone who the residents of Hollyoaks came to for advice and help. He often supported and advised his friends, including Chloe Bruce (Mikyla Dodd) and Matt Musgrove. Theo also played a key part in helping Gordon Cunningham in winning the local elections as Theo was his right-hand man campaigner.

The Heptateuch is a broad encyclopedia of information relating to the liberal arts, all within the context of academic and theologic unity. It particularly examines the ways in which different types of knowledge can be distinguished, while still supporting a single purpose: explaining order in reality. The trivium (logic, grammar, and rhetoric) address the veracity, consistency, and beauty of the language of expression. The quadrivium (geometry, astronomy, arithmetic, and music) provide the intellectual content in need of expression.

A native of Venray, Holland, Peter Wynhoven immigrated to the United States where he completed theologic studies at Kenrick Seminary and was ordained in June 1909. Over his life, he was recognized and commended by Pope Pius XI, Pope Pius XII, New Orleans archbishops Blenk, Shaw and Rummel, and U. S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He died of a heart attack at the age of 59 in Nahant, Massachusetts and was interred at St. Don Bosco Chapel at Hope Haven.

He painted a Jacob is brought his son's bloody clothes. Returning to Lugo, he painted for the Franciscans a canvas depicting The Martyrdom of Saints Crispin and Crispiano and the Four Theologic Virtues. Among other works, he painted canvases depicting: The Prodigal Son, St Giovanni Ganzio, A Deposition from the Cross, The Confidence of Alexander, a Guardian Angel, a self-portrait, a portrait of the children of Cignaroli, a portrait of Anton Raphael Mengs, and a portrait of his father.

In 1734, he married Caterina Silvestri Agate. The first documented work by his hand is Christ crucified with the Madonna, Saint John Evangelist, and Magdalene commissioned in 1730 by king John V of Portugal for the cathedral of the Mafra. In 1731, he received a prestigious commission, to execute frescoes in the church of San Nicola dei Lorenesi: Saint Nicholas water gush from cliff, three theologic and cardinal Virtues, and in the cupola Paradise. The latest restoration confirms Giaquinto's stylistic independence from Solimena, and reveals his stylistic dependence on Luca Giordano.

The bronze door is decorated with 48 square panels. The identities of all the figures portrayed is not known: they include Saints Peter; Paul; Zeno; Helena; Matilda of Canossa (who had patronized the abbey); and her husband Godfrey, as well as the unknown sculptor of the work. Other panels show the three Theologic Virtues and, in the eight smallest ones, themes connected to music. As for the dating, some of the panels were made by Saxon masters of Hildesheim in the 11th century, while others are from Veronese masters (according to some scholars, including Benedetto Antelami himself).

In the meantime, the education of Catholic theologists started in the form of a regional faculty of the Theologic College. Simultaneously, the Faculty of Teacher Training (now: Faculty of Arts) and the Faculty of Engineering were established and the name of the university was changed to University of Veszprém. The centre of scientific and cultural life, the University of Veszprém with the 200-year-old Georgikon Faculty of Agriculture turned into a three-faculty university on 1 January 2000. On 1 September 2003, two new faculties were created: the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Information Technology.

She grew up attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in 1948 became active in the Hollywood Presbyterian Church. In 1950, Townsend left her acting career and married long-time friend Louis H. Evans, Jr. who was a seminary student at the time at San Francisco Theologic Seminary. Rev. Louis H. Evans, Jr. was the founding pastor of Bel Air Presbyterian Church, which began in the Evans home. Bel Air Presbyterian Church exists today as the largest Presbyterian congregation in the Los Angeles area and has a beautiful and welcoming location on Mulholland Drive.

Interior of the church with frescoes by Corrado Giaquinto The architecture of the interior is characterized by a quite sober but evident baroque style with decorative effects based on the use of white and pink marbles. Many frescoes and paintings by Lorrainer painters of the 17th and 18th centuries also decorate the interior. In particular, two works by Nicolas de Bar: "Saint Catherine" and "The Visitation". In 1731, Corrado Giaquinto was commissioned to execute the frescoes: "Saint Nicholas water gush from cliff", "The three Theologic Virtues", "The three Cardinal Virtues" and in the cupola "The Paradise".

Budapest has been named host city by Pope Francis in January 2016, at the end of the 2016 International Eucharistic Congress held in Cebu City, Philippines. The official start of the preparation was marked by a four- day visit of archbishop Piero Marini, president of the Pontifical Committee for International Eucharistic Congresses. This is the beginning of a four-year preparation period, including the formation of a theologic committee, definition of the theme of the event, as well as organising religious preparation events. The General Secretariat of the Budapest International Eucharistic Congress has been formed, and Péter Erdő nominated its chief secretary, Kornél Fábry (priest of the Diocese of Kaposvár).

6–7 During the nineteenth century, Jews were described as "scurrilous, stupid, and tight- fisted", but after the Jewish Emancipation and the rise of Jews to the middle- or upper-class in Europe were portrayed as "clever, devious, and manipulative financiers out to dominate [world finances]".Krefetz, p. 47 Léon Poliakov asserts that economic antisemitism is not a distinct form of antisemitism, but merely a manifestation of theologic antisemitism (because, without the theological causes of the economic antisemitism, there would be no economic antisemitism). In opposition to this view, Derek Penslar contends that in the modern era, the economic antisemitism is "distinct and nearly constant" but theological antisemitism is "often subdued".

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has a small terracotta model or bozzetto that is attributed to Verrochio, perhaps the model selected in the initial competition. However, the provenance of the bozzetto is not complete, hence it is possible, that it was completed by some later artist. If the model only reflects Verocchio's work, it would be a prescient style for its time. Intended to be nearly three stories high, the Christ in a Mandorla is held aloft by four angels, while at the base, triangulating around the kneeling cardinal, are women emblematic of the three theologic virtues: Faith (on left, proffering the cross), Charity (atop, suckling an infant), and Hope (on right, gazing upward).

In 18th century monarchic France, the Marquis de Condorcet, as a political scientist, documented the aristocracy's obscurantism about the social problems that provoked the French Revolution (1789–99) that deposed them and their King, Louis XVI of France. In the 19th century, the mathematician William Kingdon Clifford, an early proponent of Darwinism, devoted some writings to uprooting obscurantism in England, after hearing clerics—who privately agreed with him about evolution—publicly denounce evolution as un-Christian. Moreover, in the realm of organized religion, obscurantism is a distinct strain of thought independent of theologic allegiance. The distinction is that fundamentalism presupposes sincere religious belief, whereas obscurantism is based upon minority manipulation of the popular faith as political praxis; cf. Censorship.

The Jesuits requested him to write in defence of the orthodox system of grace against the doctrine of the Jansenists, which resulted in his Istoria teologica delle doctrine e delle opinione corse ne cinque primo secoli della chiesa in proposito della divina grazia, del libero arbitrio e della predestinazione, published at Trent, 1742."Teleological History of the Doctrines and the Opinions Current in the First Five Centuries of the Church in Regard to Divine Grace, Free Will and Predestination"; it was published in Latin in Frankfort, 1765. He also published a letter and a book arguing against the existence of supernatural magic and witches, that mixes both enlightenment thinking and theologic arguments based on scripture. Several theologic conferences tried to repair the East- West Schism between Greek and Latin Christians: the Council of Bari in 1098, the Council of Lyon in 1274, and the Council of Florence in 1439. They all failed. Subsequently, many individual Greeks, then under Ottoman rule, embraced communion with Rome. They typically became Latin Rite, maintaining their parishes through contact and support from mostly the Venetians. However, it was not until the 1880s that a sui juris church specifically for Greek Catholics who followed the Byzantine rite was built in the village of Malgara in Thrace. Before the end of the 19th century, two more such churches were built, one in Constantinople and the other in Chalcedon.

Another problem arises from, in the case of a digital and abundant information environment, who controls the data? If the state also has a total monopoly over the information environment, then control and manipulation in this day and age become as easy as pressing a button, wiretapping a phone call, or locating political dissidents to within mere feet of their physical location represented on a GIS map. As Scott states, the technologies and capabilities now available to “enhance the legibility of a society to its rulers have become vastly more sophisticated, but the political motives driving them have changed little - appropriation, control, and manipulation remain the most prominent (77).” If the overarching concern of the state's political, economic, or theologic regime is with self-preservation, then ICTs such as those discussed prior in the hands of a dictator or authoritarian ruler can be a powerful tool for quashing any sort of challenges.

Another problematic issue was the Freedom of religion, to which a group of a few, though influential, delegates firmly opposed, headed by Centeno, Pérez, and strongly supported by Zuviría, Leiva and Díaz Colodrero. The arguments ranged from theologic-juridical, for which Centeno affirmed the freedom of cult to be a natural right, to the pragmatic- historical, with Díaz Colodrero and Ferré stating that the existence of other cults could irritate the people and foment the apparition of new caudillos that would predicate in opposition to the constitution. On the contrary, those more influenced by Alberdi and the ideas of the Generation of 1837 pleaded for the freedom of cults, pointing out that it would favour immigration to Argentina, would simplify the relations with other states --such as the treaty with the United Kingdom in 1925-- and that the conscience was not a matter of legislation but of public acts. The liberal sector prevailed 13 against 5, but the argument was dragged down to the abolition of religious privilege statutes; the obligation of professing the Catholic religion for all the state functionaries; and the conversion of the Native Americans.
