The winks are made in Italy to specified measurements, and are made by slicing an extruded cylinder rather than by moulding, and then smoothing them in a tumbler. Although this leads to some minor variation in thickness, it produces a much smoother edge to the wink than that seen on cheap moulded winks.

The team also performed live revue-style send-ups of current TV shows such as The Sullivans, or chaotic parodies of soap operas, police shows and other popular TV genres. Like Kennedy's, the humour was of the wink-wink, nudge-nudge variety—viewers became accustomed to Blackman's voice-over snigger—and the satire was broad and skit-level, rather than sharp and disturbing. The boys basketball team competes in district 8A and is led by Coach Tim Howard. The 2012-13 boys basketball team was the District 8A Co-Champions, they shared the championship with the Christoval Cougars after a 41–36 win in the Angelo State University Junell Center. The historic season sent the Eagles to the first playoff game in school history. The Eagles went on to lose the game 51–44 in Big Spring, Texas to the Wink Wildcats. The Eagles finished the season 20-8 overall and 10-2 in district. Four of the five Eagles starters will return for the 2013–14 season as seniors.

On August 15, 1960, "Lonely Guy" bubbled under the Hot 100 at number 111, reached number four on Cashbox, and spent ten weeks at number one on Los Angeles's KFWB Fabulous Forty. By the time of the Gallahads' next release, Smith and Dixon had departed, and were replaced by Leo Robinson, Ray Robinson, and Charles Wright, who would later go on to lead the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band. The new line-up was featured weekly on the Wink Martindale Show for a few months, and appeared on American Bandstand. In 1961, the group's second single "Without A Girlfriend" was released and received extensive airplay in Los Angeles.

The WINK is a derivative design of Stadler's FLIRT railcars that is intended for service on lightly traveled lines. It has an aluminium carbody that can be customized in length by the customer, and can be powered by either diesel or electric powertrains with supplemental on board batteries. Arriva units will be delivered with Deutz diesel engines, running on vegetable oil fuel, and batteries charged by regenerative braking; the engines are planned to be replaced by additional batteries once electrification is installed over part of their route. Each trainset can carry about 275 passengers, with seating for 150, and has a top speed of up to depending on customer specification.

Mike Darow (born Darow Myhowich; January 8, 1933 – December 7, 1996) was a Canadian-born television game show host. Darow is best known for hosting the 1968-1970 ABC run of Dream House in the United States, the 1985-1988 Canada- produced run of the Bob Stewart game show, Jackpot (seen in the U.S. on the USA Network), and Club 6 from 1960 to 1962. He also hosted the first season of the game show The $128,000 Question, a syndicated revival of The $64,000 Question, in 1976. Darow's announcing work included the NBC game show The Who, What, or Where Game (1969-1974) and sub-announcing duties in 1980 for the Wink Martindale version of Tic Tac Dough.

Minako's primary Soldier identity is that of Sailor Venus. Sailor Venus wears a sailor suit colored in orange (choker, collar, center of front bow, elbow fittings on her gloves, skirt, earrings, and a matching set of orange ankle-strap heels), navy blue (front bow) and yellow (tiara gem and back bow), and retains the red bow she wears as a civilian. In the live-action series, this bow appears only when she is in one of her Guardian forms, and has a gem in the center. In the manga, live-action series and Sailor Moon Crystal, she wears an item called the Wink Chain around her waist, which she sometimes uses as a weapon.

A typical use of the wink is to quietly send a message that third parties are not aware of. For example, while person A is lying to person B or deliberately teasing them, they might wink at person C as a means of indicating the fact to C and incorporating them in the "conspiracy". Alternatively, if person A is joking or teasing person B in a friendly way, person A may wink directly at person B as a way to suggest to them that their own (A's) words are to be taken as a joke.

The book was published in 2012, and a slipcased limited edition was also offered at a premium price. Gifford's introduction to the revised edition of Each a Glimpse alludes to a set of approximately 100 colour images that had been exhibited at Kidderminster Railway Museum in 2009 under the title In the Wink of an Eye. The book Transition was published in August 2018 to mark the 50th anniversary of the last steam workings on British Rail.

The players take turns, and there are two basic aims: to cover (or squop) opponent winks, and to get one's own winks into the pot. As in pool or snooker, if a player pots a wink of his own colour, then he is entitled to an extra shot, and this enables a skilled player to pot all of his winks in one turn. The point of squopping, which is the key element distinguishing the adult game from the child's game (though recognized in even the earliest rules from 1890), is that a wink that is covered (even partially) may not be played by its owner. The wink on top may be played, though, and sophisticated play involves shots manipulating large piles of winks.

After the recording of Ooby Dooby Rod Barkley quit the music business and moved back to his hometown of Gruver, Texas. Roy Orbison, then a student at North Texas and friend, became aware of the song and, sometime late in 1955, recorded a demo of it, together with “Hey, Miss Fannie”, with his band, the Wink Westerners, at the Jim Beck Studio in Dallas, and sent it to Columbia Records. Cyberstar was also implemented at Pizza Time Theatre, and remains in use at all Chuck E. Cheese's locations, albeit using DVDs rather than VHS tapes. The changes to the Rock-afire stage were very minor, as the company later decided to enact a process called "Concept Unification," in which all ShowBiz Pizza locations would be remodeled into Chuck E. Cheese's. The remodel included the elimination of all Rock-afire characters from merchandise and advertising and retrofitting/reprogramming the Rock-afire Explosion animatronics into a new show called Munch's Make Believe Band featuring the Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre characters. Dook LaRue was moved to Billy Bob's place and became Pasqually The Chef, Looney Bird became PizzaCam, Beach Bear became Jasper T. Jowls, Fatz Geromimo became Mr. Munch, Mitzi Mozzarella was moved to Dook's place and became Helen Henny, The Sun became The Building, Choo-Choo became Munch Junior, and Rolfe DeWolfe became Chuck E. Cheese; The Moon was the only character carried over unchanged, and Antioch's computer and air lines were reused for The Wink, an animated Chuck E. Cheese head over the stage that would wink at the end of each segment.
