Mallory visits Donner, who has Sutro present, and reveals that Whalen is dead. In May 2011, Upul Tharanga, a Sri Lankan cricketer failed a dope test conducted by ICC and it was rumoured that Tharanga had been treated by White and the medication given by White contained the banned substance, due to which Tharanga failed the dope test. However, Tharanga has not officially confirmed that he was treated by White. But Sri Lankan sports minister confirmed that White treated Tharanga.

The costumes for the Against All Gods tour (all designed by Vivienne Westwood) went through two discernible phases. On 23 January 1973, Absalom appeared on BBC Television's The Old Grey Whistle Test, in a line-up that included Roberta Flack and Buck Ram. Absalom performed "Hector the Dope Sniffing Hound" and "The Saga of W.P.C. Sadie Stick, MacLagan and Bomber Dina". The show was hosted by "Whispering" Bob Harris. Finding minimal lasting commercial success, Absalom relocated to Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada in 1980, and continued to work as a solo performer as well as performing on CBC Television.

It was meant to include other collaborations, like a track with Big Sean and a track produced by Pharrell Williams titled "Steel Drums", but these did not materialize. Anderson initially recorded under the name Moonrock with fellow producer Michael Wright (aka Illpickl). Moonrock released a self- titled album in 1998, and went on to contribute tracks to the internationally renowned Cafe Del Mar compilation albums (Volume 6 (1999) and The Best Of (2003)). As Katalyst, he had his first solo release with a track on the Dope on Plastic compilation in 2001. That year also saw him form experimental record label, Invada Records, together with Portishead's Geoff Barrow.

She had also cleared the dope test in Delhi, on the eve of the Indian team's departure to Busan. The Olympic Council of Asia later officially admitted that there had been discrepancies in her dope test. In 1995 Sonic Youth’s Confusion Is Sex was re-issued on Geffen. In 1996 Sclavunos plays drums on the Congo Norvell album The Dope, The Lies, The Vaseline (Priority, unreleased) produced by Joe Chiccarelli. The following year, in addition to drumming, Sclavunos coproduces the final Congo Norvell album Abnormals Anonymous (Jetset, 1997).

The film takes place in a small, New England town in 1919 (the Broadway play 1914), where a group of con men plan to use a faith healer to collect money. In New York City's Chinatown, four crooks conspire to swindle a small New England town. The gang consists of Tom Burke (Thomas Meighan), the head of the group; Rose (Betty Compson), a con artist posing as a street walker; "The Dope" (J.M. Dumont), who pretends to pimp Rose; and The Frog (Lon Chaney), a contortionist.

Back at the dope farm, Polgas discovers that Eliseo's boot heels smell like semtex and that his suit also has tiny-tech switches. Dado places the plastic explosive in certain strategic areas of the mushroom farm, after which Polgas detonated the charges using Eliseo's switches. The mushroom farm is destroyed. As Polgas treats Dado's wounds from Henry's shotgun blast, the doctor confides that even his life span is numbered in dog years; with his accelerated life span he could be dead in a few years.

The guitars are still loud, the beat still propulsive, and the chorus pretty melodic. It doesn’t quite hit the highs of big hits like "The Beautiful People" or "The Dope Show" but this is as tight as Manson has sounded in years."Entertainment Weekly "No Reflection" Review, 5th April 2012, EW's review of "No Reflection". Michal Roffman from Consequence Of Sound gave the song a positive review and said: "its chugging, Faint-friendly distortion offers plenty of sonic waves for Manson to glide over.

The victory was expected by insiders (then often called the "dope"), with Vanderbilt favored by two touchdowns. However, after finding out that Sinito was in the dope business with Zagaria, Lonardo assumed that Sinito wanted Bonarigo out of the way for his dope business, and not because of any real threat to them. David Perrier had been a collector of loanshark debts for Sinito. Perrier had a drug problem and would get drunk and get into fights at the local bars. Sinito had told Lonardo that he was worried about Perrier, as he thought Perrier had already talked to law enforcement about Sinito's illegal activities.

The stage also utilized a series of platforms. Manson would sing at a podium for performances of "The Fight Song", donning blackface while wearing an Allgemeine SS-style peaked police cap or, alternatively, Mickey Mouse ears. Leon works to incite anti-Chinese sentiment in the camp following this event, though more out of fear of Cy than anything else, and now serves as Tolliver's eyes around town. The Toronto Rap Project Soundtrack was released in April, 2006, produced by John Bortolotti and distributed by D.C.R. Productions. The soundtrack featured songs inspired by and used in the documentary, including music by such prominent rap artists such as Jeru the Damaja, Maestro Fresh Wes, Kardinal Offishall and The Dope Poet Society, along with many underground rappers from areas that the documentary covered. On April 23, their second "rendition" released was a new version of "The Dope Beat", featuring Dan "Soupy" Campbell of The Wonder Years. On February 10, 2015, Jean Nascimento left the band for unknown reasons. In light of his departure, Kenji Chan, former live guitarist for Bruno Mars and former member of Ryan and Jeff's previous band, Best Interest, acted as the band's touring guitarist. On September 25, 2015, the band posted a tweet confirming that they had completed their fourth album and that it would be released in 2016.

" Nick LaRocca wrote to Eddie Edwards on November 8, 1929: "Ed, I want you to look up Max Hart and see if he will sign the Dixieland one step to one of us so we can get behind the publisher to settle up with us, on royalty due band. Suppose you go and see J. W. Stern or his successor and get the dope on same. Do not let him know what your motives are. I have in my possession the contract but that is made between Max Hart and J. W. Stern.

Phoenix (also known as the Phoenix Album) is the second full-length album by American neo-psychedelic rock band the Warlocks. It was released in 2002 by record label Birdman, the band having been signed to this label following the success of their previous album, Rise and Fall. The UK version was released by Mute in 2003, and featured a slightly different track listing and ordering, as well as an alternative cover. This version was accompanied by the release of "Shake the Dope Out" and "Baby Blue" as singles.

Sunita Rani was hit with controversy about her performance at the 2002 Asian games, where she won a gold medal in the 1500m and a bronze medal in 5000m, after she tested positive for nandrolone, a banned substance that aids recovery, strength and endurance, in the dope tests. Both her medals were revoked. However, the Indian Olympic Association fought to prove that the doping tests had major procedural irregularities, and that the results were not valid. Rani has categorically maintained that she had not taken any banned substances.

It may have been in Birmingham but by the time he was in London he was dealing in cocaine, heroin and opium, and to a lesser extent hashish and other substances. The sale and use of these substances had been legal in Britain up to 1916 and there was an established market in London for them. According to Marek Kohn, Chang was introduced to the "dope scene" by Jamaican musician Edgar Manning who had arrived in London in 1916.

An international drug- smuggling racket plants heroin on unsuspecting American tourists traveling in Asia, so that the dope can pass through customs undetected. Two psychopathic killers, Dancer (Eli Wallach) and Julian (Robert Keith), and their driver McLain (Richard Jaeckel) then collect the contraband, murdering several people along the way. Lt. Ben Guthrie (Warner Anderson) leads the police hunt for the criminals. The head of the heroin ring is a person known only as "The Man" (Vaughn Taylor) The story begins when an American tourist disembarking in San Francisco from a cruise ship returning from China has his bag stolen by a cabbie.

In the 2004 MMORPG game World of Warcraft, there are some items referencing Jose Cuervo, like "Cuergo's Gold" and "Hozen Cuervo". In Carrie Underwood's 2008 song Last Name (song) describing a woman meeting a man at a club and later eloping with him in Las Vegas after having had too much to drink that night, Cuervo tequila is referenced in the line "So I'll blame it on the Cuervo".

Upon completion of the mosaic, an Eat Me, Drink Me wallpaper becomes available for download, and three preview tracks ("Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand)", "If I Was Your Vampire", and "Evidence") become available for streaming. The official release of the single coincided with the opening of the vault itself (for those with the single) to access a screensaver, ringtone and two "classic tracks for download" ("Disposable Teens" and "The Dope Show"). Converse involves a former friend, Ray Hicks, in the smuggling deal. Hicks will hide the heroin on the Merchant Marine vessel he works on when he ships from Vietnam to Oakland, California and deliver the dope to Converse's wife Marge in Berkeley, California. The novel's primary complication unfolds when Hicks arrives in the States and realizes that he was discovered before he arrived and is being aggressively followed. Unsure whether Converse was double-crossed by his suppliers or Converse himself betrayed him, Hicks elects to go on the run with the heroin, taking Marge as insurance.

The novel's action follows Hicks and Marge's evasion of Converse and his suppliers, and Hicks's attempts to sell the dope, south through California to the desert. Once an all-American Marine, now a lone wolf, Hicks is a survivalist and an autodidact trying to apply in himself Zen Buddhism, martial arts and the philosophy of Nietzsche. Marge is a painkiller junkie and guilt-ridden mother who takes tickets at a porn theater because it is ironic; she presents herself as an advocate of freedom, both sexual and of speech. She had agreed with Converse to do the heroin deal.

Manson initially resisted responding to Love's criticism during his band's turn on stage. However, after the band performed their single "The Dope Show", Manson retorted by holding his own poll, asking how much of the audience were there to watch his band. After the majority of concertgoers erupted in a loud cheer he taunted, "I show pity for the older people on this tour ... the graying mothers" in reference to Love. The next day, Manson issued a statement on his website that apologized for his band's inability to attend the post- show after-party due to "extreme problems being caused by Hole".

In 2000-2001, Berlin contributed to several artist tribute albums. Congo Norvell was a band led by Kid Congo Powers (Cramps, Gun Club, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Kid Congo Powers & the Pink Monkey Birds) and Sally Norvell (Prohibition & the Norvells). Congo Norvell formed in 1990 after Powers and Norvell met at the deathbed of a friend in Los Angeles. They embarked on a series of gigs meant to benefit friends dying of AIDS, and were noticed and signed to a record deal. They went on to record 3 studio albums (Music To Remember Him By, The Dope, the Lies, the Vaseline, & Abnormals Anonymous) and multiple EPs and compilations.

Early attempts to use these modern fabrics with butyrate dope proved that the dope did not adhere at all and peeled off in sheets. Nitrate dope was resurrected as the initial system of choice instead, although it was supplanted by new materials too. One fabric system, developed by Ray Stits in the USA and FAA-approved in 1965, is marketed under the brand name Poly-Fiber. This uses three weights of Dacron fabric sold as by the brand name Ceconite, plus fabric glue for attaching to the airframe (Poly-Tak), fabric preparation sealer resin (Poly-Brush) and paint (Poly-Tone).

In December 2003, Azmy was suspended from football for 14 months following a positive doping test at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. Azmy pledged not guilty for the dope found in his blood, and claimed that it was a component of a prescribed drug he took as part of his muscular enhancement training. He appealed for the suspension to be cancelled, but the appeal was not accepted. After spending the suspension period, he signed for PAOK and was a regular starter before being transferred to Al- Shabab in KSA in what was eventually an unsuccessful experience for the player, where he featured very rarely as a starter.

God Is in the T.V. is the second live video album by American rock band Marilyn Manson, released on November 2, 1999 on VHS, documenting the Mechanical Animals Tour, Beautiful Monsters Tour and Rock Is Dead Tour. It features all 13 music videos the band spawned between July 1994 and November 1999 in reverse chronology, including uncensored bonus footage from the production of "The Dope Show" music video, as well as footage culled from various concerts across the world alongside backstage and behind-the-scenes clips. The late Matthew McGrory can be seen on the cover, which is a scene from the "Coma White" music video.

According to Ann Powers of Rolling Stone, the song, like several tracks on Mechanical Animals, focuses on a person's final moments before death and suggests themes of betrayal. Bob Waliszewski of PluggedIn deemed "Coma White" anti-drug and contrasted it with other songs on the album like "I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)" and "The Dope Show" which he felt glamorized drug use. Schafer wrote that "Coma White" displays "all of Manson’s favorite themes — the seductive evil of prescription medication, lost love, [and] the paralyzing effect of celebrity culture". Craig Hlavaty wrote in the Houston Press that the song is about the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

On September 14, 2010, the band released a new song called "Keep On Bringing Me Down" on YouTube. It was announced that this would be the lead single from The Weekend: Saturday, which was planned to be the continuation from the group's previous EP, The Weekend: Friday. The band then went on "The Summer Camp for the Dope Awesome Kids Tour", which featured The Scene Aesthetic, The Ready Set, A Cursive Memory and Phone Calls from Home. Garrison in 2010 On November 25, Cook revealed through his Tumblr account that the band would not be releasing The Weekend: Saturday, but instead a self-titled album.

Repeated appearances on MTV and other networks helped propel the album's lead single, "The Dope Show", to number twelve on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, becoming the band's highest-charting single yet. The song's music video was critically acclaimed, winning two awards at the 1998 Billboard Music Video Awards as well as the Best Cinematography award at the 1999 MTV VMA's; while the song was also nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards. The album would go on to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, with first week sales of over 223,000. After a brief promotional campaign, the band set out on the "Beautiful Monsters Tour" with Hole.

Entering the assigned patrol area on 11 February 1945, "Latta's Lancers" commenced searching for their quarry. A quarter of an hour into the first dog watch on 12 February, Lagarto sighted four B-29s; contacting two over her VHF (very high frequency) radio equipment, she "received [the] dope on [the] picket vessels" they sought. Haddock likewise obtained contact data from the Superfortresses. Thus forewarned, Haddock obtained the first radar contact an hour before the end of the first watch on 12 February; opening the range, she commenced tracking what proved to be the "guardboats" (converted trawlers) No.8 Kotoshiro Maru (109 tons) and No.3 Showa Maru (76 tons), neither vessel underway.

British Celanese factory, Spondon, Derbyshire During World War I (July 1914 – November 1918) the Cellonite company was the only bidder to respond to a request from the British War Office for manufacture of cellulose acetate dopes in the United Kingdom. Camille and Henri Dreyfus moved to Britain in 1916 to supervise construction of a factory to make the dope, used to coat the fabric skins of airplanes to make them taut, fire-resistant and waterproof. The British Cellulose and Chemical Manufacturing company was established to operate the factory with 160,000 shares, of which the Dreyfus brothers and Alexander Clavel received 79,998, the Prudential Trust of Canada 40,470, Vickers Ltd. 19,800 and the remainder to smaller investors.

Some of these bootlegs may also contain bonus tracks, including a demo for the song "My Monkey" from Portrait of an American Family, and another track called "Choklit Factory" taken from the bands' Spooky Kids- era. The album alludes to famous occult author Aleister Crowley, particularly in the "Dope Hat" re-recording "Diary of a Dope Fiend" after the Crowley novel Diary of a Drug Fiend. The "Frankie" referred to in "Fuck Frankie" is Frankie Proia, Manson's tour manager at the time who embezzled $20,000 from the band during their tour for their previous release, Portrait of an American Family. Wiggins recorded an acoustic rendition of the song "Cake and Sodomy" under the title "White Trash".

A rock opera and concept album, Mechanical Animals is the second installment in a trilogy which included Antichrist Superstar and 2000's Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death). After the release of Holy Wood, Manson said that the overarching story within the trilogy is presented in reverse chronological order; Mechanical Animals, therefore, acts as the bridge connecting the two narratives and remains constant whether the trilogy is viewed in reverse or not. The album has been certified platinum in the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. It spawned the singles "The Dope Show", "Rock Is Dead", and "I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)" as well as the promotional single, "Coma White".

Proponents of this hypothesis claim that when the mooring line touched the ground, a resulting spark could have ignited the dope in the skin. An episode of the Discovery Channel series Curiosity entitled "What Destroyed the Hindenburg?", which first aired in December 2012, investigated both the static spark theory and St. Elmo's Fire, as well as sabotage by bomb. The team, led by British aeronautical engineer Jem Stansfield and US airship historian Dan Grossman, concluded that the ignition took place above the hydrogen vent just forward of where Mark Heald saw St. Elmo's Fire, and that the ignited hydrogen was channelled down the vent where it created a more explosive detonation described by crew member Helmut Lau.

DOPE, or Discrete Optimized Protein Energy, is a statistical potential used to assess homology models in protein structure prediction. DOPE is based on an improved reference state that corresponds to noninteracting atoms in a homogeneous sphere with the radius dependent on a sample native structure; it thus accounts for the finite and spherical shape of the native structures. It is implemented in the popular homology modeling program MODELLER and used to assess the energy of the protein model generated through many iterations by MODELLER, which produces homology models by the satisfaction of spatial restraints. The models returning the minimum molpdfs can be chosen as best probable structures and can be further used for evaluating with the DOPE score.

The success of De Familie Doorzon is largely due to the perfect satire on Dutch society and family life, with every majority and minority represented and no one spared. From the transvestite barkeeper (Rinus) to the dope peddling Ronnie D. and his voluptuous sister and her black husband, every nook and cranny of the Dutch welfare state (as personified by Emiel) and its workforce (the Biereco's) is mercilessly ridiculed. Gerrit de Jager has a quite distinct style, characterized by a love for ridiculous situations, which frequently result in disaster. A good example of this is the inevitable falling over of buildings if the Biereco's (see illustration) had anything to do with it.

The band then relocated to the new home of Nothing Studios in New Orleans to begin work on remixes and b-sides for Portraits third single, "Dope Hat", releasing a music video inspired by the boat ride scene from the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The proposed single eventually developed into an hour-long EP, titled Smells Like Children. The EP's fifteen tracks of covers, remixes, and sonic experiments also included the band's version of the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", which would prove to be their first hit. The song's music video was placed in heavy rotation on MTV, in stark contrast with the "Dope Hat" video, which the same channel had banished to late-night airplay only a few months prior.

This is the third King of the Hill box set, released on December 28, 2004. It contains all twenty-five episodes from the third season (1998-1999) spread across three DVD-10s (double-sided, single layer). After a four-month gap between seasons 1 and 2, this set was not released until 13 months after season two's release, in December 2004, after being initially scheduled for spring of that year; this delay was attributed to issues involving music licensing especially with the episodes "Love Hurts...And So Does Art" and "Wings of the Dope," each of which used two popular songs. This and the next three seasons are on dual sided DVDs (Three discs per set instead of the previous six).

Held during the weekend Mon Valley Summer Festival in Monessen, Jugan and The Russian Nightmare lost to Dr. Feelgood and Brian O in a Best Two Out of Three Falls match the second night at "CWF Climax". Two weeks later, Jugan and Doink the Clown fought to a double-disqualification at a Far North Wrestling show in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. On July 15, Jugan and Doink joined forces as The Dope Show against Bubba Brewer and Nikolai Volkoff at the Allied Powers Wrestling Federation's "Return To Glory" show at Kay Arena in Indiana, Pennsylvania. On July 29, Jugan and The Mauler defeated The Gambino Brothers (Marshall and Mickey Gambino) at another Far North Wrestling show in Butler, Pennsylvania; Dominic DeNucci was the special guest referee.

Rawlings also made appearances on HBO drama series The Corner, playing Bread the dope fiend next to Fat Curt and The Wire, playing Damien Lavelle 'Day-Day' Price, an ex-convict who is hired as a legislative aide and driver for corrupt state senator Clay Davis. Price's character appears unrefined on several occasions, contemplating heists in public and stating things in court such as "Y'all tryin' to 'criminate me" while on the stand. Davis is played by fellow Chappelle's Show co-star Isiah Whitlock, Jr. Rawlings appears in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 and in a cameo appearance in the music video for Jim Jones' "We Fly High" (Ballin' Remix). He was a regular on The Ricki Lake Show mostly as a judge on various challenge episodes.

On the eve of the Final, one of the team's players, Vembu, is kidnapped and forcefully injected with cocaine by Daniel, who is hired by Sharma in order to sabotage the team's chances of winning the Championship. Though she recovers, she is unable to play in the final as she would fail the dope test. The team's captain, Thendral, is also kidnapped by Daniel, who attempts to forcefully inject cocaine on her as well; however, Michael manages to rescue her. Michael proceeds to kill Daniel once and for all, but when he sees Daniel's young son, he changes his mind and spares Daniel, as he does not want the young boy's future to end up like him by seeing his father die.

The Via Lodi field, after the construction of the Via Pisacane stadium, continued to be used by the A.C. Legnano as a competition field for the youth sector and as a training ground, a place of use that remained in use until the end of the 1990s century. Later the via Lodi camp was transformed into a municipal boules alley. From 1937 to the stadium of via Pisacane is organized annually, on the last Sunday of May, the horse race of the palio di Legnano. The first edition of the palio horse race in Legnano (1935) was instead played at the former Brusadelli camp, a facility built as a sports center for the dope after-work of the Cotonificio Dell'Acqua and later named after Pino Cozzi, historic president of the Unione Sportiva Legnanese.

The Last Tour on Earth is a live album comprising recordings from Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals Tour, Beautiful Monsters Tour and Rock is Dead Tour, released on November 12, 1999. On the studio version of "The Dope Show", Manson says that drugs "are made in California", but in the live version, he says that "drugs, they say, are made right here in Cleveland", to a roar of crowd approval, suggesting that the song was recorded in Cleveland, Ohio. "Lunchbox" was recorded in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and "I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)" was recorded in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. "The Last Day on Earth" was recorded in Las Vegas on the Mechanical Animals Tour, and "Get Your Gunn" was recorded some time during the Rock is Dead Tour.

An array slicing operation takes a subset of the elements of an array-typed entity (value or variable) and then assembles them as another array-typed entity, possibly with other indices. If array types are implemented as array structures, many useful slicing operations (such as selecting a sub-array, swapping indices, or reversing the direction of the indices) can be performed very efficiently by manipulating the dope vector of the structure. The possible slicings depend on the implementation details: for example, FORTRAN allows slicing off one column of a matrix variable, but not a row, and treat it as a vector; whereas C allow slicing off a row from a matrix, but not a column. On the other hand, other slicing operations are possible when array types are implemented in other ways.

The scenes following this are taken from the perpetrators' videos and personal journals, illustrating the days approaching and including the shootings and the suspects' suicides. The newly added act three has the other cast members become survivors and townspeople who reflect on the events, including the cover up of information surrounding the suspects. The play briefly touches on modern shootings such as the incidents at Aurora or Newtown. A few productions have included a brief scene discussing the story of the Columbine survivor who wrote to Mike Judge about "Wings of the Dope," an episode of King of the Hill which she credited with enabling her to grieve a boy she never got to tell she loved, who turned out to be one of the perpetrators (resulting in her being pressured to repress her grief).

"It's fine like it is," > he'd snarl when I suggested another take or some additional harmonies. It > felt like his primary purpose was to get this thing done as quickly as > possible and skedaddle back to the dope man in New Hampshire. King recalled that "there were a few fights" during recording, including an incident in which he, irritable over having to get up early to work on repeated vocal takes while his bandmates slept in until the afternoon, launched into a tirade and threatened to quit the sessions. Among the songs the band recorded for the album were a cover version of the Beach Boys' 1963 single "Hawaii", and "High School Psychopath II", a sequel to Screeching Weasel's song "I Was a High School Psychopath" from their 1993 album Wiggle.

At a time before the ubiquity of peer-to-peer file sharing, the first singles from both Beinhorn-produced albums were leaked three weeks before their intended release dates and played "nearly a dozen times" on New York radio station WXRK (92.3 FM) and its Los Angeles-based sister station, KROQ-FM (106.7 FM), on the weekend of July 31 to August 2, 1998. Interscope neither confirmed nor denied that the leak originated from them but joined Hole's label, DGC Records, in issuing a cease and desist order to WXRK on August 3. In spite of this the Manson single, "The Dope Show", was subsequently recorded and converted by a fan into an MP3 and made available on an unofficial fan site for download soon after. The following weekend, San Francisco radio station Live 105 (105.3 FM) played both singles again.

The Dope Poet Society has been politically active from its inception. They have performed at protests and political events across North America. In 1993 they performed their anti- sexist song “Lady Killer” at North York City Hall for that year's commemoration of the École Polytechnique massacre. In 1994 they performed and aggressively participated in rallies organized by Anti-Racist Action Network (ARA) and other local groups with the express purpose of physically confronting neo-Nazis that had been organizing and harassing people of colour in Toronto's East end. In the late 90s the group was active in a culture jamming group known as the Toronto Media Collective, profiled in Naomi Klein’s book No Logo. In 2000 members of the group founded the Toronto Hip-Hop Cultural Arts Centre (THC) and were actively involved in the centre’s programs.

" In his autobiography I Am Ozzy, vocalist Osbourne states that he cannot remember much about recording Master of Reality "apart from the fact that Tony detuned his guitar to make it easier to play, Geezer wrote 'Sweet Leaf' about all the dope we'd been smoking, and 'Children of the Grave' was the most kick-ass song we'd ever recorded." In the liner notes to the 1998 live album Reunion, drummer Ward commented that Master of Reality was "an exploratory album". Ward elaborated in a 2016 interview with Metal Hammer magazine: "On the first album, we had two days to do everything, and not much more time for Paranoid. But now we could take our time, and try out different things. We all embraced the opportunity: Tony threw in classical guitar parts, Geezer’s bass was virtually doubled in power, I went for bigger bass drums, also experimenting with overdubs.

Allen Saunders, the syndicate's comics editor, took over as writer from 1942 to 43, with art first by Paul Pinson (June 1942 - January 1943) and then by Alfred Andriola (January to October, 1943). Saunders and Andriola subsequently replaced Dan Dunn with a new detective strip, Kerry Drake, in 1943. Starting in 1934, Dan Dunn appeared in seven Big Little Books: # Dan Dunn, Secret Operative 48: Crime Never Pays (1934) # Dan Dunn on the Trail of Counterfeiters (1936) # Dan Dunn and the Border Smugglers (1937) # Dan Dunn and the Crime Masters (1937) # Dan Dunn on the Trail of Wu Fang (1938) # Dan Dunn and the Dope Ring (1940) # Dan Dunn and the Underworld Gorilla (1941) In 1936, Dan Dunn became the title character of a pulp magazine that lasted for two issues. In 1944, Dan Dunn, Secret Operative #48 was produced as a 15-minute syndicated radio program which ran for a total of 78 episodes.

The program was created by Susan Mizner who was an attorney at Homeless Advocacy Project and Arnette Watson who is a formerly homeless leader at the Coalition. In 1993 they designed and advocated for the McMillan Center, a 24-hour drop-in facility for substance users, in an effort to reduce the number of overdose deaths on the street. In 1996, the Coalition fought against the city’s “Matrix Program,” an initiative of Mayor Frank Jordan’s aimed at addressing homelessness through police and criminalization, including getting 39,000 tickets dismissed in court and the eventual end of the program. Also in 1996, the labor group People Organized to Win Employment Rights (Power) formed from the Coalition’s General Assistance Rights Union (POWER went on to create free Muni for youth), and the Coalition’s efforts helped lead to the creation of the city’s “Treatment on Demand” Initiative, which resulted in the expansion of 1,200 treatment slots and dramatically reducing the number of fatal overdoses through the creation of the DOPE project.

Immediately after the release of the album, "I Need U" became the top trending search term on Korean portal sites and ranked number one on various real-time music charts, including Soribada, Genie, and Daum Music. The song also managed to crack the top 10 on Melon, Bugs, and Naver Music's real-time music charts. The music video for "I Need U" reached one million views in 16 hours, while the "Dope (쩔어)" music video garnered one million views in less than 15 hours—the fastest record for any BTS music video at the time. "Dope" gained considerable attention internationally as it became the subject of numerous reaction videos on YouTube, the most noteworthy being from the Fine Brothers channel. "Dope" went on to become the group's first music video to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, making BTS the first K-pop group outside the "big three" Korean entertainment agencies (SM, YG, and JYP) to achieve this feat. On May 5, 2015, "I Need U" won number one on the South Korean music program SBS MTV's The Show, which marked their first music show win since their debut.
