The original first floor front porch was replaced with a larger wrap-around porch. The house then fell into a state of severe disrepair and by 1987 was unable to be used for the original TV pilot of The Munsters Today. Stock footage was again used from Munster, Go Home. The house, after production had ceased on The Munsters Today, appeared in many films and TV shows again – including The 'Burbs, Dragnet and on the TV series Coach starring Craig T. Nelson.

The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa, in Pasadena, California, was used for exterior scenes of the sprawling Rich Family Mansion. The interior lobby and vault of the disused Valuta Bank building, in downtown Los Angeles, was used for the scene in which Richie traps the pursuing Rich security men. The background music in selected scenes was also used in Digimon, Casper: A Spirited Beginning and Casper Meets Wendy. "Derby in the Burbs", WFTDA In 2013, Suburbia qualified for WFTDA Playoffs for the first time, as the tenth seed at the Division 2 tournament in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Suburbia went winless for the weekend, including a 233-221 loss to Queen City Roller Girls, to finish in tenth place. Suburbia returned to Division 2 Playoffs in 2014 as the ninth seed at the tournament in Duluth, Minnesota. Suburbia made it to the fifth place game but lost to Treasure Valley Rollergirls 236-111 and finished in sixth place.

Steven Fox took the song to Barry "BURBs" Ratcliffe, who ran the BURBs (British Underground Rock Bands) website. Ratcliffe formed the band, called 4-4-2, specifically to record the song. The band consisted of several unsigned musicians including Neil Murray (guitar/vocals), Mark "Madfiddler" Knight (fiddle), Phil Doleman (Banjo) and Ian Murphy (vocals). 4-4-2 also went on to record a Christmas single and a World Cup 2006 song, both recorded without Ian Murphy who instead went on to provide guest vocals on the BBC Sports World Cup 2006 charity single "Come On, Come On England", which was unrelated to the similarly titled 4-4-2 hit.

Darla became a cult icon due to the film's success with many wondering what exact breed she was, and someone going as far as to create a Facebook fan page for her entitled, Precious, the white toy poodle of Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs. Her final role before retiring was in the 1992 film Batman Returns as Ratty Poodle.

Since Jus Rhyme won the previous challenge, he was invited to have a dinner with hip hop and reggaeton star, N.O.R.E.. He was allowed to pick one fellow contestant to go with him; he chooses John Brown. While the two are away, and Persia comment on how absurd a dinner with the "King of the 'Burbs," a completely "non-thug" rapper, and N.O.R.E. would actually be. At the dinner, N.O.R.E. appears to leave early. However, Jus Rhyme explained in his exit interview with VH1 that N.O.R.E. had been waiting for over an hour and a half for him and Brown and had an engagement he needed to get to within a half-hour of their arriving.

In 1969, the Pine Street house was reused for another Universal-produced television hit, Marcus Welby, M.D. This house can still be seen at Universal Studios, though the original façade was replaced in 1988 for the following year's The 'Burbs and sat in storage elsewhere on the Universal lot. The façade was replaced again for the 1997 Leave It to Beaver movie. The house and the street it sits on were used as the main exterior set for Wisteria Lane of Desperate Housewives, was also previously used as the Pearson family house on The Bill Engvall Show and also for a time shown on CBS daytime's The Young and the Restless as Victoria Newman Abbott and Billy Abbott's home.

Richard Miller (December 25, 1928 – January 30, 2019) was an American character actor who appeared in more than 180 films, including many produced by Roger Corman. He later appeared in the films of directors who began their careers with Corman, including Joe Dante, James Cameron, and Martin Scorsese, with the distinction of appearing in every film directed by Dante. He was known for playing the beleaguered everyman, often in one-scene appearances. Miller's main roles have been in films such as Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Explorers, Piranha, The Howling, A Bucket of Blood, The Little Shop of Horrors, Not of This Earth, Chopping Mall, Night of the Creeps, The Terminator, The 'Burbs and Small Soldiers.

The first episode details the casting audition; out of all of the rappers that show up, ten are chosen: Dasit, Jon Boy, Misfit, Sullee, Persia, John Brown, 100 Proof, , Jus Rhyme, and G-Child. The 10 chosen are then introduced to their new home in the South Bronx, "Tha White House," which has been designed and furnished to "keep the true essence of hip hop," as opposed to a typical, lavishly designed and furnished reality show house. Early on, trouble brews between John Brown and Persia. Due to John Brown's vague talk about a "ghetto revival" and his claims of his status as "King of the 'Burbs," and due to her pent up frustration, she challenges him to a freestyle battle, which John Brown seems hesitant to do.

The Coalition is ruled by Emperor Karl Prosek, and is genocidally opposed to all aliens, D-bees (Dimensional Beings, to include humans from other times and even unlucky CS troops that have traveled through a Rift and survived to return... only to be "contained" by his former comrades), human mutations, and Magic. His ultimate goal is to control the Earth by humans and for humans, and do so by attacking anything and everyone that is foreign to Earth as it was before the cataclysm. Nevertheless, Prosek allows some of the less threatening non-humans to live alongside lesser-privileged humans in the burbs surrounding Chi-Town. Most of these poor souls think that they may eventually gain citizenship so they can live within the protective walls of the arcology.

Evenings with Mark Fine was a program on Melbourne sports radio station 1116 SEN that ran from March 2007 to December 2017. Mark Fine had been host of the program since 2007 and had been one of only two presenters to have been with the station continuously since its inception until he lost his job at SEN in the revamp after Craig Hutchison was made CEO at the start of 2018 (the other being Kevin Hillier). Evenings with Mark Fine ran from 7pm to midnight Monday to Thursday during the AFL season and over the same time frame from Monday to Friday during the non-AFL period. The program consisted of a number of regular segments such as the fitness hour with Craig Harper, radio game show Initially Speaking with Troy Zantuck and 'Milney', Bush and the Burbs, covering suburban and country football with Paul Daffey as well as a soccer hour with Michael Zappone and David Davutovic.
