Microsoft International Soccer 2000 is a sports game developed by Rage Software and published by Microsoft. It was released on October 20, 1999 for the PC. In the game, the player takes the role of manager of an international football team in a competition such as the FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Football Championship. The game was developed in conjunction with several football coaches, and released in the United States for $20. Reception of the game was generally positive.
Gooka is a 1997 Czech adventure video game developed and published by JRC Interactive. It is based on the novel Gooka a Dračí lidé (Gooka and Dragon People), which was written under the name Richard D. Evans by Czechoslovak writer Vlado Ríša. The player takes the role of Gooka, who is accused of murdering his own father, and is tasked with proving his innocence and unmasking the true killer. This game was the first Czech adventure game to run exclusively on Windows.

The game is named after the nickname of Manfred von Richthofen, German flying ace. The game utilizes the same monochrome vector graphics and similar arcade hardware as Atari's own immensely popular Battlezone; both were developed at the same time.

The player takes the role of the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces in Europe as they respond to a massive Warsaw Pact attack. The goal is to slow their advance and inflict casualties, hoping to force a diplomatic end to the war before West Germany is overrun.

The events of the game begin with GALCOM diplomatic craft developing a navigational malfunction and straying into Gammulan territory. "Conquistador" (Conqueror) was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989, performed in Portuguese by Da Vinci. The song reminisces about the former Portuguese colonial possessions worldwide. Lead singer Tei Or takes the role of the Portuguese state and sings that she has been to Brazil, Praia, Bissau, Angola, Mozambique, Goa, Macau and "Timor" (the last a reference to East Timor). The song was performed ninth on the night, following Norway's Britt Synnøve with "Venners nærhet" and preceding Sweden's Tommy Nilsson with "En dag".
This section of The Cantos concludes with a vision of Hell. The main antagonist is a sentient artificial intelligence named GLaDOS, similar to the demon in Narbacular Drop.

In Caffeine, the player takes the role of a young boy aboard a caffeine mining ship that has an extreme addiction to caffeine. The boy wakes up with no memory of why he is on the ship and decides to explore the ship. The boy runs into multiple characters throughout his journey on the mostly abandoned ship.
In Fightball, each player takes the role of a Coach of one of six futuristic basketball teams competing in the fictional sport of Fightball. Each player will have his own deck of cards representing that team. When the game begins, both participants simultaneously play cards that feature players, balls, shots, and special effects. The goal of the game is to create Complete Plays by forming stacks, each featuring a shooter (player) card, ball card, and shot card that together total at least ten points.
The player takes the role of Assil, the son of a respected architect in Cairo. Assil is a party animal but at some point one of his party-nights turned out sour. When he tries to have some fun in the pyramids with two friends of his, he accidentally breaks some urns and thus disturbs the mummy resting in the pyramid. Golden Nugget features a mystery-themed story mode in which the player takes the role of poker player Steven Killsbourg, whose ex-girlfriend, scientist Dr. Shelly Harkness, has used chaos theory to create the Chaos Chip, a microchip capable of advanced problem-solving. When the chip is stolen, Killsbourg must play through three poker tournaments to find the culprit, with help from Hugh Swain (portrayed by Adam West). The story line gradually plays out through FMV clips that are shown as the game progresses. Each subsequent tournament has a higher entry fee than the previous.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day is based on the film of the same name, in which two Terminator machine models, the T-800 and the T-1000, are sent back from the future. The T-800 is tasked with protecting a boy named John Connor, who will eventually become the leader of the human resistance in a war against machines. The T-1000 has been sent back with an order to kill young John, ensuring the rise of the machines. In the game, the player largely takes the role of the T-800.
The single player story chronologically takes place before the events of the Neroimus War depicted in multiplayer. He’s famed for his wuxia novels, with 100 million copies of his works sold worldwide. As part of the wuxia genre of Chinese martial arts and chivalry, in Swordsman, the player takes the role of a wandering hero and experiences the hero’s rise to glory amongst one of ten schools of martial arts, the quest to avenge the hero’s destroyed village, and the opportunity to adventure with great heroes around the world.
As with all collectible card games, every player puts together his or her own deck. In Galactic Empires, each player takes the role of the leader of a "sector" of a galactic empire. The object of the game is to defend one's Sector HQ while destroying the other players' Sector HQs. Spartan: Total Warrior was developed by The Creative Assembly and released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Discovering the asteroid is hollow, Low and two of his team are transported to a long- abandoned complex, filled with advanced technology, on a strange alien world.

Each time the princess is rescued, the seasons change from summer to fall to winter and back to summer.
The game revolves around surviving a package holiday to the Spanish resort of Terrormolinos (a play on Torremolinos) and bringing back home ten snapshots. The user takes the role of the husband and goes away on a package holiday with wife Beryl and two children, Ken and Doreen. To successfully complete the game, a player must take ten photographs to illustrate the "happy" holiday. Terrormolinos was a follow-up to Melbourne House's successful Hampstead, produced by the same team with almost identical interface, and using the same style of satirical humour.
Top Gun: Hard Lock was released in March 2012 for PlayStation 3, Windows and Xbox 360, by 505 Games and Paramount Digital Entertainment. The player takes the role of a pilot named Lance "Spider" Webb, who graduated from Top Gun under the auspices of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. As Spider, the player engages in missions during a blockade of a new terrorist regime (a former US ally who had a coup) in the Persian Gulf. The player flies missions from USS McKinley in the Gulf, which involve shooting down hostile planes and destroying missile boats.

The album Sir Henry at Rawlinson End (1978) was released on the Charisma Records label (CAS 1139), featuring Stanshall as multiple characters, talking and singing, in a portrayal of the fictional history of Sir Henry Rawlinson. It is filled with puns, double-entendres, pop-cultural references and clever wordplay. Stanshall initially takes the role of an unnamed narrator, then shifts between character and narrator.
Monster Rancher is often compared to Pokémon, though the two series play differently. While the Pokémon games are traditionally collection-based role-playing video games, Monster Rancher games tend to be simulated animal breeding games. The genre Monster Rancher occupies is shared by other simulation virtual pet games, such as Digimon, and games based on raising horses for racing, like in the Gallop Racer series, also by Tecmo. In the games, the player takes the role of a monster breeder whose goal is to raise monsters to fight in tournaments.

Beast Boy is present as a member of the team during the events of the 2005–2006 storyline "Infinite Crisis". In the 2006 - 2007 weekly series 52, following the death of Superboy, Wonder Girl and Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire leave the team, and Beast Boy takes the role of leader. Beast Boy recruits new Titan members, but the new teenage superheroes are more interested in their fame than seeking true justice. When Steel calls the Titans for help, most of the Titans abandons the team, leaving only Beast Boy, Raven, and Zatara.

It is a race to see if the player can make a certain number of deliveries before the T-Rex can eat a certain number of trucks. In some levels, there is an additional truck, named the Rogue Delivery Truck, who attempts to steal your deliveries. In the second mode, the player takes the role of the Tyrannosaurus Rex and must eat a certain number of delivery trucks before the trucks make a certain number of deliveries.
Seraphim (セラフィム Serafimu) is a miniature angel, about the size of an action figure. The fact she is the Shinga is known by only few people, as she elects to have puppet Shinga's in her place, the latest being the Pon Dradin. She later trains Jarl to be her replacement as she seeks to retire from the Sa'Kage. After Jarl is assassinated, she takes the role of Shinga again and leads the Nocta Hemata against the Khalidoran occupation of Cenaria.
Night Trap is an interactive movie video game developed by Digital Pictures and originally released by Sega for the Sega CD in 1992. The game is presented primarily through the use of full motion video (FMV). In Night Trap, the player takes the role of a special agent tasked to watch over teenage girls having a sleepover (starring Dana Plato) visiting a house which, unbeknownst to them, is full of danger. The player watches live surveillance footage of the house and triggers traps to capture anyone seen endangering the girls.

In the song, Daddy Yankee takes the role of a patient with breast cancer diagnose, and the lyrics are about empowerment. In the intro and the first verse, he reflects the feeling of an ill woman since the diagnose of the disease, thinking about life and death, and how it would affect her beloved ones. Viola's identity is exposed, leaving them without a stage or lead actor, until Burbage offers his theatre and the heartbroken Shakespeare takes the role of Romeo. Following her wedding, Viola learns the play will be performed that day, and runs away to the Curtain.
Puzzle Pirates is a massively multiplayer online game developed by Three Rings Design (Later owned by Grey Havens LLC). The player takes the role of a pirate, adventuring on the high seas and pillaging money ("pieces of eight") from roaming enemy ships (human or computer-controlled). The mechanics of Puzzle Pirates are driven by puzzles. For example, to effectively sail a ship, players must play puzzle games representing work at the sails for speed, pumping bilge water to remove it from the ship, and carpentry to fix any damage the ship may take.
The Legend of Oasis, released as The Story of Thor 2 in Europe and as in Japan, is a 1996 action role-playing game developed by Ancient and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn. It is the successor and prequel to the 1994 title Beyond Oasis for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The player takes the role of Leon, who must find the six elemental spirits and use their powers to fight the evil wizard Agito and his legions of creatures. The game was first announced under the title "Legend of Thor".

Balance of Power is a computer strategy game of geopolitics during the Cold War, created by Chris Crawford and published in 1985 on the Macintosh by Mindscape, followed by ports to a variety of platforms over the next two years. In the game, the player takes the role of the President of the United States or General Secretary of the Soviet Union. The goal is to improve the player's country's standing in the world relative to the other superpower. During each yearly turn, random events occur that may have effects on the player's international prestige.
In 2011 AEG released a board game titled War of Honor, which utilized the same cards as the collectible card game in a simplified game. Four complete decks were included with the game, making it self-contained, however additional cards can also be included. A second game, titled Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion Clan was released the same year. However, certain enemies are unaffected by grenades, and can only be killed off by explosions from grenades planted on the ground.

Lethal Enforcers was a 1992 arcade game released in 1992 by Konami which used light guns; the player takes the role of a police officer to lethally take down criminals while avoiding killing innocents or being shot by criminals. The game was rendered using photo-realistic imagery which drew some concern. It was ported to home consoles the next year (on Sega systems in late 1993, and on the SNES by early 1994). These games shipped with the Konami Justifier, a plastic light gun modeled after a revolver.
The game is centered on a top-secret espionage agency operating out of an abandoned subway station in a fictional place called Japanada in the late 1950s in an retro- futuristic, alternate reality where Japan conquered most of North America. The player takes the role of Polyblank, a silent protagonist. The game begins when Polyblank is mailed to the espionage agency in a human-shaped suitcase. He is then given several missions by the head of the organization, all of which begin by ingesting a dose of prescription medicine.
The player takes the role of a Commanding Officer (CO) in an army, usually of a country called Red Star (changed to Orange Star following international releases). In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, a Goomba takes the role of a captain to lead his troops and battle to save Bowser from Fawful.
Pyjamarama is an action-adventure game set across several interconnecting rooms. The player takes the role of Wally, who has gone to bed for the night and has to wake up early in the morning for work. Unfortunately, his alarm clock has not been wound, and thus he will sleep late in the morning, and his boss will fire him. However, in his sleep, Wally's consciousness travels around his home, and other places, wearing his pyjamas, in search for the key to rewind the alarm clock and wake himself up.
They had begun developing the film—called Transproofed—more than a year prior. Transproofed is the story of a trans woman, Ava, who feels unready to tell the man she's been dating that she's transgender; but when Ava's friend Joyce pressures her into hiding any evidence in her apartment that she's trans (with a long career as a showgirl), Ava feels more and more uneasy. Addams and James wrote, directed, produced, and scored the film. Addams takes the role of Ava, and James plays the role of Joyce.

Drax—whose real name is German for dragon—is in opposition to Bond, who takes the role of Saint George in the conflict. The player takes the role of one of the many hackers attempting to break the codes of the simulator and extract the most valuable data possible for fame and profit.
In each game in the franchise, the player takes the role of an outlaw in the waning years of the American Old West. The plot is influenced by choices the player makes throughout the game, determining their moral alignment.
Jack Bros. is an action video game developed and published by Atlus for the Virtual Boy, released in late 1995 in Japan and North America. It is a spin- off from Atlus' video game series Megami Tensei, and was the first entry to be released outside Japan. The player takes the role of one of the three Jack brothers – Jack Frost, Jack Lantern, or Jack Skelton – who have visited the human world for Halloween, and need to return to the fairy world before the portal connecting the two worlds closes.

The player takes the role of "Master" and commands a group of individuals called "Servants", who are typically historical, literary, and mythological figures from various cultures. The player commands a party composed of up to 6 Servants in each battle, 3 active members and 3 reserve members. In each turn, the player is given a set of 5 Command Cards and may use up to 3 of them in a turn to attack.
De re publica (On the Commonwealth; see below) is a dialogue on Roman politics by Cicero, written in six books between 54 and 51 BC. The work does not survive in a complete state, and large parts are missing. The surviving sections derive from excerpts preserved in later works and from an incomplete palimpsest uncovered in 1819. Cicero uses the work to explain Roman constitutional theory. Written in imitation of Plato’s Republic, it takes the form of a Socratic dialogue in which Scipio Aemilianus takes the role of a wise old man.
Ace 2 (stylized as ACE 2 as acronym for Air Combat Emulator) is a combat flight simulator video game developed by Cascade Games for various home computers released in 1987, and a sequel to Ace. The player takes the role of a fighter jet pilot on modern day missions in the Middle East. The display shows the plane's instrumentation and cockpit view. The game received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the game for its new control scheme and introduction of multiplayer, while others criticized it for being oversimplified compared to its predecessor.
Cover art of the German-language edition, 2006 Warrior Knights is a board game for 2–6 players originally published by Games Workshop in 1985, and later published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2006. Each player takes the role of a Baron vying to claim the throne of an unnamed kingdom. Gameplay revolves around raising an army, obtaining enough money to maintain that army, and gaining influence through a variety of means. An expansion, Crown and Glory, was released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2007, adding scientific advancement and other optional rules to the game.
Mass Effect is a single-player action role-playing game in which the player takes the role of Commander Shepard from a third-person perspective. Shepard's gender, appearance, military background, combat-training and first name are determined by the player before the game begins. There are six different character classes for the player to choose from and each of them have different talents that provide enhanced combat capabilities. For example, the Soldier class is trained in weapon damage and has improved health, while the Sentinel class is trained in protecting and healing allies.
Gunfright is an action-adventure game developed by Ultimate Play the Game and published by U.S. Gold. It was first released for the ZX Spectrum in December 1985, then released for Amstrad CPC and the MSX the following year. The player takes the role of a sheriff in the town of Black Rock and is tasked with eliminating outlaws who are scattered throughout the settlement. The game was developed directly after Nightshade, and re-uses the latter game's Filmation II game engine that allows images to be rendered without overlapping each other.
Paper doll interface Symbol in Ultima Online In Ultima, the player takes the role of the Avatar, who embodies eight virtues. First introduced in Ultima IV, the Three Principles and the Eight Virtues marked a reinvention of the game focus from a traditional role-playing model into an ethically framed one. Each virtue is associated with a party member, one of Britannia's cities, and one of the eight other planets in Britannia's solar system. Each virtue also has a mantra and each principle a word of power that the player must learn.
Dungeon of the Endless is a roguelike tower defense game developed by Amplitude Studios and released in October 2014 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X systems, August 2015 for iOS devices, and for Xbox One in March 2016. The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch ports released in May 2020. It is the third game of their loosely connected Endless series, which includes Endless Space and Endless Legend. In the game, the player takes the role of the survivors of a prison spaceship, its escape pod having crashed to the surface of a strange planet.
When Bera accidentally finds out that Sodom is about to be destroyed and Lot saved, he concocts a plan to switch places with Lot, as the archangels set to destroy the city had never actually seen Lot. He sends his elder son to seduce Charlotte, but to his chagrin his son falls in love. Bera tells Lot that he is ill and needs to get away from his usual surroundings, so they change places. As Lot takes the role of king, he becomes conceited and forgets his plans to help the children of Sodom.
The vőfély is a man (or sometimes these days a woman) who roughly takes the role of the best man, but has many more duties. He is the official host, organizer, coordinator, entertainer and Master of Ceremonies during the wedding. A vőfély can be a relative but more often he is an experienced professional hired by the families. The vőfély performs many of his roles partly by reciting comic verse which is based on well-known traditional forms but tailored to the individuals being married, and their families.

At the outset of the game, tiny gremlin-like minions pry open his coffin and revive him. In rapid succession, his minions shove him into armour, name him successor to the previous Overlord, and task him with slaying his predecessor's murderers, the Seven Heroes. In the intervening years, the Seven Heroes each fell prey to one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
The player takes the role of a person hit by a car and awakes to find himself taking care of a dilapidated medieval cemetery. The player manages their character's time and energy levels as they clear brush, dig graves and place headstones, keep honeybees, craft goods, mine for stone and metal, and engage in social activities (such as witch burnings) with the various residents of the small village, all while earning in-game money to expand their graveyard. The game is open-ended, allowing the player to take on activities as they see fit.
Olympica is a two-player combat-oriented game that posits that in the year 2206, Martian colonists are threatened by a thought-control machine called the "Web Mind Generator" that turns all under its influence into dedicated servants of the "Web". One player takes the role of U.N. forces that will try to destroy the Web generator situated in the Martian crater Olympica, while the other player defends the machine. The U.N. forces have light and heavy infantry, laser tanks, a laser drill and rocket-powered lifters. The defender uses light but fast infantry, redoubts and a tunnel system.
Dungeon Keeper 2 is a strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1999 for Microsoft Windows. The sequel to Dungeon Keeper, the player takes the role of a 'dungeon keeper', building and defending an underground dungeon from the would-be heroes that invade it, as well as from other keepers. In the campaign mode, the player is charged with recovering the portal gems from each area in order to open a portal to the surface. The player can also construct a dungeon without strict objectives, and multiplayer is supported over a network.
The Lone Ranger is an action-adventure video game released by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System exclusively in North America in 1991. It is based on The Lone Ranger radio and TV franchise, the latter which was still rerunning in syndication when the game was released. The player takes the role of the Lone Ranger himself as he engages against outlaws in side-scrolling, overhead, and even first-person segments. The Lone Ranger theme music is played prominently during the game, which includes a DPCM-coded voice clip of the ranger shouting his catch-phrase "Hi Yo Silver".
Thief is a series of stealth video games in which the player takes the role of Garrett, a master thief in a fantasy steampunk world resembling a cross between the Late Middle Ages and the Victorian era, with more advanced technologies interspersed. The series consists of Thief: The Dark Project (1998), Thief II: The Metal Age (2000), Thief: Deadly Shadows (2004) and Thief (2014). An expanded version of Thief: The Dark Project, titled Thief Gold, was released in 1999 and features three extra maps and a number of bug fixes. Looking Glass Studios developed both The Dark Project and The Metal Age.
Taits suggests a treaty, and is sent to King Apepi, the Hyksos leader, to require that he attends a meeting between the two leaders. After a long debate which lasts many days, a treaty is agreed and both leaders sign it, restoring peace throughout the land. However, Apepi is killed not long after and Trok, who was Apepi's general, and is also Naja's cousin and co- conspirator, takes the role of Pharaoh of the Lower Kingdom. All of Apepi's children die as well, except Princess Mintaka, whom Apepi betrothed to Nefer Seti to reinforce the peace treaty.
Mysts story concerns an explorer named Atrus who has the ability to write books that serve as links to other worlds, known as Ages. This practice of creating linking books was developed by an ancient civilization known as the D'ni, whose society crumbled after being ravaged by disease. The player takes the role of an unnamed person referred to as the Stranger and assists Atrus by traveling to other Ages and solving puzzles. Over the course of the series Atrus writes a new Age for the D'ni survivors to live on, and players of the games set the course the civilization will follow.

It was released for the PlayStation Vita by Idea Factory in 2016 in Japan and by Aksys Games in 2018 in North America and Europe. The player reads through the story, making choices that determine its direction, and takes the role of college student Ichiko Hanamaki, who goes to the town of Okunezato to investigate the disappearance of her brother together with her friend Hino Kagutsuchi. The game was directed and written by Tomio Kanazawa, with character designs by Chinatsu Kurahana and music by Yuki Sugiura.

The player takes the role of a young hero who, together with a heroine, tries to stop the Dark Lord of Glaive from destroying the Tree of Mana. The gameplay focuses on combat with monsters or other enemies, and is seen from a top-down perspective. The player traverses the game world, which is divided into several areas, and makes their way through dungeons. While fighting monster characters, a gauge is shown on the screen filling up over time and resetting when the player gets hit or attacks; by waiting to attack until the gauge is full, the player can use a stronger attack.
The Mooncrash expansion, released in June 2018, is a separate game mode built atop the setting and gameplay of the base Prey game. The uncomfortable nature of Israeli security efforts, compared directly to features found in concentration camps, is explored as well as the horror of witnessing protesters yelling "Death to the Jews" in American anti-Zionist demonstrations. Life experiences between characters become blurred in several instances, such as when Davidman switches from performing a Jewish song in Hebrew to the saying of an Islamic prayer. In one particular moment, the performer takes the role of an Israeli doctor commenting on the various sufferings that the character has witnessed. The doctor displays a disinterest in weighing what particular group of people has endured more, remarking that "I do not compare levels of trauma".

The player takes the role of a conductor named Edward Jones, who is working as a train operator 106 years after a catastrophe dubbed "The First Visitation". One day, the Conductor is tasked with taking an experimental train to pick up a special cargo. However, during the journey, the Conductor quickly discovers that he is in the midst of "The Second Visitation", as cities and towns are attacked by an unknown force, and their inhabitants are transformed into aggressive monsters by some unknown infection. "Living My Life Without You" was the Norwegian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, performed in English by Van Eijk. The song is an up-tempo number, heavily inspired by urban music, in which Van Eijk takes the role of a man whose lover has left him. He tells her that "Something is missing, baby", explaining that his whole world has changed without her and that he wants her back for that reason. The song was performed eighth on the night, following Turkey's Tuğba Önal & Grup Mistik with "Dön artık" and preceding Denmark's Michael Teschl & Trine Jepsen with "This Time I Mean It".

The Freedom Plaza in Bonton, seen in the opening cutscene The game's interface Orwell takes place in a country called the Nation, led by a modern-day authoritarian government known as The Party in the capital of Bonton. In 2012, the Party passed the Safety Bill, a law expanding the government's ability to spy on its citizens in the name of national security. As part of the bill the Ministry of Security, led by Secretary of Security Catherine Delacroix, commissioned a covert surveillance system codenamed Orwell. The player takes the role of an Orwell investigator, who has just been selected to use the system.

Cyberdillo is a first-person shooter in which the player takes the role of the Cyberdillo, an armadillo who was run over by a car and was made into a cyborg. The Seven Cities of Gold is a strategy video game created by Danielle Bunten Berry (credited as Dan Bunten) and Ozark Softscape and published by Electronic Arts in 1984. The player takes the role of a late 15th-century explorer for the Spanish Empire, setting sail to the New World in order to explore the map and interact with the natives in order to win gold and please the Spanish court. The name derives from the "seven cities" of Quivira and Cíbola that were said to be located somewhere in the Southwest United States. Along the way, the player must make decisions on whether to change the course of events or remain complicit with the new administration.

Amador's wife Maité takes the role of "First Lady" seriously, and becomes obsessed with her image, splashing out on luxury items in order to look good despite her own family's crippling financial troubles. In addition to these problems, Amador finds out about his wife's previous infidelity with Sergio, which ultimately leads to their faltering marriage, and in turn leads to him being overthrown as President.
Mystery Case Files: Huntsville is the first installment in the Mystery Case Files franchise and was released in November 2005. The player takes the role of a master detective to solve a series of seemingly random crimes in the small town of Huntsville. The game features a number of locations to explore and introduced the Crime Computer which is still a main part of the series. As the levels progressed, the detective discovers that the apprehended criminals are associated with a special organization called S.T.A.I.N. They are parodies and erotic- themed games emulating the Leisure Suit Larry series, developed by Auric Vision and ZES't Corporation. The player takes the role of Gary Tusker, a secret service agent who specialises in preventing sexual and religious perversion. GAG: The Impotent Mystery is a 1st person, point-and-click and inventory-based adventure game.
The reader takes the role of a dinosaur rancher in the country of Thalos on a distant planet who finds themself in the middle of an attack by Thalos' mortal enemy, the militaristic Karosseans. A strange weapon is unleashed which causes all of Thalos, save the protagonist, to fall into a deep sleep and leaves the land free to be invaded. Observation is an adventure game. The player takes the role of Sam, short for the Systems Administration & Maintenance (SAM) artificial intelligence software aboard a multi-national space station that serves to monitor the entire station. If the Bogeyman spares Anne, Murphy is then released and thanked by Anne, who learns that her father's killer was in fact Sewell. If it kills Anne, Murphy will then be sent to prison while being looked over by the Wheelman in the "Full Circle" ending or executed for his killings of Napier and Frank in the "Execution" ending. In the event that Anne kills the Bogeyman, Murphy takes the role of Sewell while his own role is taken by Anne as the game plays on the beginning cutscene. The "Surprise!" ending instead shows Murphy stumbling over a surprise party for himself, attended by various past Silent Hill characters, including the Pyramid Head.
In Massive Chalice, the player takes the role of an immortal ruler defending their kingdom from invasion by an evil force known as the Cadence, whose very touch is deadly to most humans and who leave magical corruption in their wake. In it, each player takes the role of a particular alien species, each with a unique power to break one of the rules of the game, trying to establish control over the universe. The game was inducted into the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts & Design Adventure Gaming Hall of Fame in 1997. Cosmic Encounter is a dynamic and social game, with players being encouraged to interact, argue, form alliances, make deals, double-cross, and occasionally work together to protect the common good.
Resistance is a series of first-person shooter and third-person shooter video games developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita video game consoles. The series takes place in an alternate history 1950s, in which an alien civilization known as the Chimera have invaded and conquered Earth, expanding their armies by capturing humans and transforming them into monster-like supersoldiers to fight for them. Lowe made a special guest voice appearance in the online games AdventureQuest Worlds and Mech Quest for their Friday 13th events in August 2010, in which he takes the role of a park ranger who tells stories around campfires – but is eventually revealed to be a spirit that feeds off of fear. The player takes the role of a scientist attempting to find and isolate the new strain of algae then create a countermeasure using nanotechnology to destroy the invading algae and save the world's lakes and streams. Tiffany herself denies having any affection for Roland, but there are many signs that she does have feelings for him, even though she does not admit it until pressured to by Nanny Ogg.

Omensight is an action role-playing game developed and published by Canadian studio Spearhead Games, and is the spiritual successor to Stories: The Path of Destinies. It was released for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 on May 15, 2018, the Nintendo Switch on December 13, 2018, and the Xbox One on June 7, 2019. Described by the developer as an "Action Murder Mystery" game, the player primarily takes the role of the Harbinger, a mythical warrior who only appears in times of crisis, and as a dark god destroys the world of war-torn Urralia. In order to save the world, the Harbinger must use their Omensight power to go back in time, reliving the final day to investigate a series of events that led to the murder of a priestess.
The player takes the role of Professor Samuel Hunt, a cultural historian at the British museum, and explores a 3D pre-rendered environment using a 360° field of view and moving between the various locations and interacting with objects and characters by clicking. In the game's downloadable content Road to Gehenna, the player takes the role of another of the AI entities, Uriel, near the end of the main story. Uriel is instructed by Elohim to free a number of other AIs, all of whom had been imprisoned in a portion of the computer's database called Gehenna. Arc Symphony is a text-based adventure game, and is presented as an old computer through which the player reads messages in a Usenet newsgroup dedicated to a fictional Japanese role-playing video game (JRPG) for the PlayStation game console, also titled Arc Symphony. The player takes the role of a formerly active user of the group, and begins the game by taking a personality quiz. Messages include discussions about the fictional Arc Symphony characters and writing, and about the newsgroup users' usernames. The characters the player interacts with include a couple who chat on IRC at the same time by using two phone lines, a new user who provokes people, and a university professor who wants to be called by his username rather than his real name when in the newsgroup.
Dr. Brookner gradually takes the role of activist herself, noting the epidemic's appearance in other countries around the world and even among heterosexual couples. Although she desperately asks for government funding for further research, she is denied; the rejection releases in her a passionate tirade against those who allow the persistence of an epidemic that is taking the lives of the homosexual individuals already marginalized by the government. In the meantime, Ned's conflict with Bruce comes to a head, and their organization's board of directors ultimately expels Ned from the group, believing his unstable vehemence to be a threat to the group's attempts at more calm- mannered diplomacy. As Felix's condition worsens, he visits Ben Weeks in order to make his will and with a hope of reconciling Ben with his brother.
Orelsan as "RaelSan" in the music video. The music video was released on 24 August 2011 on YouTube. In the video, Orelsan takes the role of "RaelSan" and is seen wearing a black mask similar to that of Robin of DC Comics, rapping to the song in constantly changing clips, all in which he is seen wearing the same outfit. 2 minutes into the video, while still rapping, Orelsan shapeshifts into Skread, Ablaye (the founders of the record label 7th Magnitude to which Orelsan is signed) and then Gringe, all of whom are still wearing the same outfit as Orelsan and still rapping, then shapeshifts back to himself, after which the three men split off Orelsan and all four make the same body gestures, before the video continues with Orelsan alone.
A role-playing video game of the same title, based on the book, was developed by Burut Entertainment and Akella studios for the PC. The game is set immediately after the events in the book (known as the Arkanar Massacre), and so can be considered a sequel to the book. The player takes the role of a rookie imperial intelligence officer, straight out of the intelligence academy. The first mission is to investigate the disappearance of Don Rumata, and all the ramifications of his disappearance. It quickly becomes clear why an inexperienced rookie agent was chosen for such a complex mission: since the player character is young and inexperienced, their higher-ups are hoping that they fail so that the entire incident can be swept under the rug.
The single-player game takes place on Carver V, a planet previously held by House Liao, but recently mostly captured by the Federated Commonwealth, who killed the local Liao ruler Mandarin Cho in combat. At the beginning of the story, the Federated Commonwealth, an alliance of House Steiner and House Davion, is breaking apart due to Archon Katrina Steiner's controversial seizure of power. All the Houses on Carver V are avoiding any military action that could endanger the peace, so when a suspiciously well- equipped bandit force threatens Steiner territory, House Steiner employs a mercenary team led by the player, who takes the role of their commander. In Campaign 1, the player is under the command of Colonel David Renard of House Steiner, and starts with relatively simple missions to destroy minor bandit forces.
