During the final battle, Ransik accidentally injures his daughter Nadira and, traumatized over nearly killing her, surrenders to the Rangers. Right before the Rangers return Ransik and Nadira to the future, Wes and Jennifer, having soothed over their initially rocky relationship, profess their love for one another. As the Rangers depart, Wes stays behind with Eric to co-command the Silver Guardians.

Thanks to her, her father realizes his mistakes, and willingly surrenders to the Rangers.

The man takes Hood's identity and has to impersonate the sheriff and deal with ex-Amish crime lord Kai Proctor, sort things out with "Carrie" and get his share of the diamonds while evading Rabbit. In the 14th-century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which romanticises the events before and during the Three Kingdoms period, Cen Hun is portrayed as a palace eunuch and close aide of Sun Hao. He instigates the emperor's tyranny and plays a significant role in bringing about the corruption and decadence that led to the downfall of Wu in 280. After Sun Hao surrenders to the Jin dynasty, many former Wu officials blame him for causing Wu's downfall and had him executed by slow slicing.

The marriage of a nat and a nat-kadaw is done through an extremely elaborate ceremony titled Ley-Bya-Taik. In this ceremony, the nat-kadaw identifies the particular nat that they would like to marry, and then surrenders to it.

Four years later, Kite's love for Yuria chases the newly freed Lucifuge out of her, and the two are reunited while Lucifuge is again absorbed by the Reverse Kabbalah.

An ancient, malevolent monster, magically imprisoned underground, is accidentally awakened in a village in Kent. Rawhead, a nine- foot humanoid with a huge, toothed head, goes on a rampage, killing and eating several townsfolk. He corrupts the local verger, who surrenders to the violent, depraved impulses that Rawhead represents, and who helps the monster slay the vicar, Coot. Rawhead sets the village alight, and is eventually overcome by Ron Milton, father of one of Rawhead's victims, who uses a talisman to stall the beast until he is overrun by a mob of enraged villagers.

When he awakes he finds that a parchment really exists in the house and that his visitors are really thieves and are seeking a hidden treasure.

Since his struggle with alcoholism, Stark has carried a tremendous burden of guilt after nearly killing an innocent bystander while piloting the armor drunk. While Reed Richards and Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym both agree with Stark's proposal, not everyone does. After Captain America is ordered to bring in anyone who refuses to register, he and other anti-registration superheroes go rogue, coming into conflict with the pro-registration heroes, led by Iron Man. The war ends when Captain America surrenders to prevent further collateral damage and civilian casualties, although he had defeated Stark by defusing his armor.

Laurie gets Andrew and Alice thanks to Beth, and a violent Tim beats up and abuses Beth after locking the door on Andrew who calls the police on him. Tim unlocks the door and surrenders to police who arrest him and send him to jail, while a shocked Alice helps Andrew send Beth to the hospital. Laurie arrives, and Beth comforts her and reminds her that Tim will not see them or hurt them ever again.

Quan Chi's words make Raiden realize that "He must win" refers to Shao Kahn himself; should Kahn conquer Earthrealm without victory in Mortal Kombat, the Elder Gods will punish him. Liu Kang, angered by the seemingly pointless deaths of their allies, blames Raiden and goes to attack Shao Kahn alone. Raiden tries to stop Liu Kang, but ends up accidentally killing him when Liu Kang's fire mixes with Raiden's lightning, burning Liu Kang alive. Overcome with guilt, Raiden surrenders to Shao Kahn, at which point, the Elder Gods intervene, imbuing Raiden with their power, which he then uses to defeat and kill Shao Kahn for violating the Mortal Kombat code.

The alert FBI agent spots Fields and pursues Fields who climbs even higher, reaching the 102nd-floor observation deck, and, finally, the spire where Fields fights off the agent, causing the agent to plummet to his death. Fields exits the building with money and false identity documents, his "escape", which will get him out of the country, but he has been shaken by the sight of the dead agent, and feels remorse. Fields finally breaks down after realizing what he has done, destroys his escape, and surrenders to the FBI the next day.

March 17, 2011. On October 26, 2011 the United States Attorney's Office filed charges against Rajat Gupta. He was arrested in New York City by the FBI and pleaded not guilty. He was released on $10 million bail (secured by his Connecticut house) on the same day. Crona is forced by Medusa to devour human souls through Ragnarok as part of Medusa's experiment for Crona to become a kishin. Crona initially becomes Maka's archenemy after infecting Soul with Ragnarok's black blood during their first encounter, but ends up befriending Maka after she purifies Crona's soul, which causes Ragnarok to shrink into a super deformed shape. Following Medusa's defeat, Crona surrenders to DWMA and enrolls as a trial student, becoming closer to Maka and her friends, but is quickly forced by Medusa to act as her spy within the school. Later, Crona is kidnapped by Medusa and brainwashed into forgetting Maka and her friends, once again becoming Medusa's test subject.

The stone the client possesses contains the rage and hostility of an honoured warrior who recently died in battle; in their home dimension, the stone's 'emissions' would normally be controlled by various spells, but without those spells the emotions are spilling out and 'infecting' every demon in the area. In the final confrontation, as Angel and his associates attempt to aid the stone's owners in acquiring the stone while holding off a mass of demons, Angel nearly surrenders to his rage, but David's act of sacrifice during the battle, giving his life to save Angel's, gets through Angel's rage and allows him to focus long enough to allow the stone to be destroyed, thus ending the wave of hostility.
Disillusioned by Marian's betrayal, he abandons her and the revolution. When the tide of the battle begins turning in the Sheriff's favour, Robin surrenders to avoid further bloodshed and is taken to the Sheriff's castle to be executed; one of the guards is actually John, having escaped his cell, and he finally claims revenge on the Sheriff by hanging him by the chain on an oil burner. Meanwhile, the Cardinal approaches a vengeful Will and offers him the chance to claim the power vacuum in Nottingham if he is loyal to the church.
Allowed by the Caprica Cavil, Caprica Six and Sharon then begin preaching peace with the humans as the way of God. This leads them to take over Cylon culture and to resume the hunt for humanity, leading them to the colony of New Caprica, which they take over in a bloodless coup facilitated by Baltar, who surrenders to Caprica Six as soon as the Cylons arrive. After the Cylon occupation of New Caprica, Caprica Six alienates the other Cylons with her desire for peaceful coexistence with humans. Her reunion with the real Baltar, however, shatters her illusions about her former pawn, as Baltar impotently allows the Cylons to bully him into enacting their oppressive tyranny upon New Caprica.
When Astrid, Lucien and a few other pack members run around near the suburbs in their wolf skins, it becomes evident that the pack badly needs a leader. Since there is no agreement over who it should be, they decide to elect the leader via Ordeal; a free-for-all brawl where any male who is of age can participate, anyone who has blood drawn is disqualified, and the last two can fight to the death or if one surrenders to the other. Afterwards, the pack females will participate in the Bitch's Dance, a fight to determine who will be the new leader's mate. Gabriel wins the Ordeal and Astrid instantly attacks Esmé, seemingly with the intent to kill.

They convince her to stay with them for seven days during which each of them realises that Nupur is hiding something. On the fifth day Nupur's fiancé, Dhruv physically and verbally abuses Nupur to a point where she emotionally surrenders to him. Although the trio fails to confirm Nupur as Nupur Bhushan, after a few days Gunjan suspects Dhruv to be the grown-up Chintu, a psychotic boy from their childhood school who was admitted to a mental hospital and was also one of the reasons which led the Bhushan sisters to shift to Mumbai. It is revealed that Nupur has been pretending to not recognise them out of fear of Dhruv.
Delhi comes in and reveals to Ramana that Arjun is the latter's younger brother whom he threw in the well in their childhood. It is also revealed that what he told him about Anjana and her revenge for her father's death was all a fake and imaginative story so that Ramana will have compassion for their love, as Ramana's love was a failure. Arjun has thought Ramana would succumb to Arjun's plea and surrender to the police so that he would escape from the police's encounter and he can return to their family. Ramana realizes himself and surrenders to the police, but not before admitting Arjun in a hospital, saving his life.

When her brother (now going by his true name Milliardo Peacecraft) appears as the leader of White Fang, Treize Khushrenada dismisses Relena from her position because, he reasons now that she has laid the foundation for peace, he will provide the military might required to bring it to fruition.
After saving Admiral Leighton's flagship, HMS Pluto, which becomes dismasted in stormy seas, from the French battery at Rosas, he learns that a French squadron of four ships of the line has slipped the blockade at Toulon. He decides that his duty requires that he fight them at one-to-four odds to prevent them from entering a well- protected harbour. In the process, his ship is crippled, and with two-thirds of the crew incapacitated (including Lt. Bush) he surrenders to the French, not before, however, severely crippling three of the French ships and damaging the fourth. As a prisoner in Rosas, he witnesses the destruction of the French ships at anchor by Leighton's squadron.

As the crisis escalates, Cyborg is confronted by the controlling consciousness of other Mother Boxes, who claim that he will only gain the power to overcome the Dark Batmen if he fully surrenders to the Mother Box that powers his body at the cost of the transformation deleting his old personality.

During filming of a famous wartime duel, Waldo in a Sopwith Camel and Kessler in the Fokker—although their aircraft are disarmed—begin dogfighting in deadly earnest, using their aircraft as weapons, repeatedly playing chicken and colliding with each other. Eventually, Waldo damages Kessler's aircraft so badly that it is no longer airworthy, and Kessler surrenders to Waldo.

Arriving on Endor as part of a Rebel commando squad, Luke surrenders to Vader in an attempt to bring his father back from the dark side of the Force. The song's production style was influenced by Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound": prior to recording "Ring Ring", engineer Michael B. Tretow had read Richard Williams' book Out of His Head: The Sound of Phil Spector, which inspired him to layer multiple instrumental overdubs on the band's recordings, becoming an integral part of ABBA's sound. Subsequently, German and French versions were recorded in March and April 1974 respectively: the French version was adapted by Claude-Michel Schönberg, who would later go on to co- write Les Misérables. The title, "Waterloo", does not refer to Waterloo, London, nor its landmark station, but is about a woman who "surrenders" to a man and promises to love him, referencing Napoleon's defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

Jack suggests they kidnap Dr. Sofia Amaral, Paul's head of chronon research. Learning she will be attending a Monarch gala, Jack surrenders to Monarch and learns that Paul was accidentally sent to the end of time in the future, only escaping by traveling in Will's machine back to its first activation in 1999.

Pinkard, however, succeeds in moving the killing operation and setting up Camp Humble in east Texas, near the town of the same name, with the killing facilities further "improved" with the addition of crematoria. Despite the Roman Republic was already implemented in the South and East of the Iberian Peninsula, the Lusitanian and Numantine obstacles made a conquest by Rome very faraway, but suddenly Viriathus is killed by treason and Numancia surrenders to Rome. Decimus Junius Brutus, not scared about the myths that surround the region, marches north. The scenery of Uma Deusa na Bruma is Cividade de Terroso (Póvoa de Varzim) known in the book as Tarrobriga, in which the reader is immersed in the magic and enchantment of the Celtic peoples of pre-Roman Portugal and the impact of the Roman culture.
The team reunite and resume their activities, still followed by Sterling, until Nate surrenders to the latter in exchange for the others' freedom, finally admitting to Sterling and himself that he is a thief. As season 3 begins, Ford is in prison and the team attempts to free him, until a mysterious Italian woman blackmails them into bankrupting the untouchable criminal Damien Moreau. Although he successfully coordinates their efforts to take control of Gotham's major crime families, the now-vampire Batman aided by were-cat Selina Kyle is able to destroy the Joker's minions. Unfortunately, Selina is killed in the final battle with the Joker's vampires, with her death causing Batman to succumb to his lust for blood and drink from the Joker. Although he stakes his foe to prevent him from coming back as a vampire, Batman is left tormented by the knowledge that the Joker won their long conflict by driving him to kill, often reflecting that he is damned by Dracula's bite and the Joker's blood in equal measure as he surrenders to his vampire side and turns on his old enemies.

When it appears that the government discovered their conspiracy, they attempt to assassinate Honor but this fails as well. Reverend Julius Hanks, the head of the Grayson Church, gives his life to shield Honor from an assassin's fire, and the assassin is so horrified by his act that he surrenders to police custody and makes a full confession as to the conspiracy and its leader. When confronted at an assembly of the Steadholders, the leader invokes his ancient right to trial by combat and Honor herself, acting in her official capacity as Protector Benjamin's Champion, meets him sword-to-sword and kills him. Malouf's narrative voice is at once scattered and singular, skipping between perspectives on the same events, and forcing the reader to pay close attention to each character's rendering in order to arrive at the wholest truth possible. The magical realism theme is cultivated in the exaggerated response of all the characters to mundane items: Gemmy surrenders to what he knows is a stick instead of a gun, because he attributes Lachlan's aiming it at him as a signal of the wariness of the other settlers. Finishing his basic education with the highest possible grades - barring the lowest possible grade in conduct and behavior - Erik returns home and deals with his father.
A PAVN soldier surrenders to Company A, 1/9 Marines, 3 March 1967 The first few weeks of the operation saw little PAVN activity, however PAVN infiltration across the DMZ increased during the Tết ceasefire from 8 to 12 February. On 25 February Marine artillery carried out Operation Highrise, bombarding PAVN within and north of the DMZ. The PAVN responded on 27 February with an intensive bombardment of Con Thien and Firebase Gio Linh. On the morning of 27 February a Marine reconnaissance patrol operation 5km northwest of Cam Lộ Combat Base attempted to ambush 2 PAVN soldiers, however the soldiers were the lead elements of a company from the 812th Regiment, 324B Division which quickly surrounded the Marines who then called for support. Company L, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines patrolling with 2 M48 tanks north of Cam Lộ was sent to support the patrol but were delayed by thick jungle and then were engaged by PAVN as they crossed a stream, following that engagement one of the tanks lost a track and Company L formed a defensive perimeter.
Gaps here make interpretation dubious. It seems that by the advice of the goddess Shapsh 'Sun', Ba‘al has intercourse with a heifer and dresses the resultant calf in his own clothes as a gift to Mot and then himself prepares to go down to the underworld in the guise of a helpless shade. News of Ba‘al's apparent death leads even El to mourn. ‘Anat, Ba‘al's sister, finds Ba‘al's corpse, presumably really the dead body of the calf, and she buries the body with a funeral feast. The god ‘Athtar is appointed to take Ba‘al's place, but he is a poor substitute. Meanwhile ‘Anat finds Mot, cleaves him with a sword, burns him with fire, and throws his remains on the field for the birds to eat. But the earth is still cracked with drought until Shapsh fetches Ba‘al back. Seven years later Mot returns and attacks Ba‘al in a battle which ceases only when Shapsh tells Mot that El now supports Ba’al. Thereupon Mot at once surrenders to Ba‘al/Hadad and recognizes Ba‘al as king.
