VEC not only supplies electricity to members, but also offers a range of programs including bill credits for the purchase of certain electric appliances and devices including electric vehicles, plug-in electric vehicles, heat pumps, heat pump hot water heaters, pellet stoves, electric forklifts, and Zero Energy Modular homes. In December 2016, Vermont Electric Cooperative launched Co-op Community Solar, a program under which members can sponsor solar panels in community solar arrays. Members pay an upfront payment for a term of either ten or twenty years and get a fixed monthly credit on their electric bill.

Francois Finlay Dam and Nipawin Hydroelectric Station SaskPower has a generating capacity of 3,542 megawatts (MW) from 17 generating facilities, including three coal-fired power stations, five natural gas stations, seven hydroelectric stations, and two wind power facilities. In 2019, SaskPower purchased full ownership in Cory Cogeneration Station, which was previously owned and operated as a joint venture between Canadian Utilities (an ATCO Power subsidiary) and SaskPower international. The cogeneration facility supplies both electricity and steam to Nutrien’s Cory Potash Mine and also supplies electricity to the SaskPower grid. SaskPower also buys power from various independent power producers (IPPs) including the North Battleford Generating Station, Spy Hill Generating Station, Morse Wind Energy Facility, Red Lily Wind Power Facility and SunBridge Wind Energy Facility.

Cornwall Electric is an electricity transmission and distribution utility, licensed by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), to operate in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Originally established in 1887 as Stormont Electric Light and Power Company, and merged with a railway company to become the Cornwall Street Railway Light and Power Company, it is one of the oldest utilities in Canada. The company supplies electricity to approximately 24,800 customers in the city of Cornwall, the townships of South Glengarry and South Stormont, and on a portion of the Mohawk people's territory of Akwesasne, all located in Eastern Ontario. It crosses provincial boundaries to obtain the bulk of the power it requires directly from Hydro-Québec, while generating a small amount of its own, using a cogeneration system, a first such use in Canada.

Easy Energy of Massachusetts, commonly referred to as Easy Energy, is an approved participant in the New England Power Pool and is licensed by the State Department of Public Utilities, Electric Power Division to sell electricity in Massachusetts. The company is headquartered in Bolton, Massachusetts and supplies electricity to residential, industrial and commercial customers in the parts of Massachusetts that fall within National Grid or NSTAR service territory. Easy Energy founders, Margaret Campbell and Stan Smith, are 20 year veterans of the electric power industry with a mission to bring electricity options to all consumers. Consumers may choose between fixed and variable price as well as standard electricity generated by a mix of fossil fired and hydro power plants or a premium "green" electricity product that is sourced from 100% solar power generation.

Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative distributes electricity to 7,000 members on Hatteras and Ocracoke islands, both of which are barrier islands that are situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pamlico Sound in the Outer Banks region of the state of North Carolina. As an electric cooperative, Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative is owned by the members who it provides electricity to. Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative and a member of the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC), an electric generation and transmission cooperative that supplies electricity to most of North Carolina's electric cooperatives. Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative receives its electricity supply from underground cables attached to the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge over the Oregon Inlet that connect to the Dominion North Carolina Power electric system.

On the right bank of the Tshopo River, the Kisangani Zoo attracts many visitors, as well as the Kisangani Hydroelectric Dam that supplies electricity to the city of Kisangani. At spectacular waterfall of Wagenia Falls, fishing with the old age tradition tools installed on the rapids can be witnessed. Fishing is practiced through a scaffold installed among rocks, with vines attached and serving through the tensioning creels of woven conical vines immersed in the current of the river.
