The Legion of Regrettable Supervillains (out today via Quirk Books) is a companion piece to 2015's The League of Regrettable Superheroes, and chronicles such terrifying antagonists as Brickbat, a guy in a bat costume who carries around exploding bricks, or Morris's personal favorite, Swarm, a caped menace whose body is made up of killer bees that also happen to be Nazis.
In the wake of kids dying because heroes couldn't stop supervillains from blowing up their school, a mother who lost her son presents an argument to Stark that he ultimately comes to agree with: Policemen are trained and held accountable for their actions, and superheroes should be too: On the other side, Rogers believes that government regulation of superheroes would encroach on their civil liberties.
After the title was canceled in 2007 following a decline in quality and readership after Vaughn's departure, the Runaways themselves — a group of Los Angeles teens who run away from home after discovering their parents are secretly supervillains, and go on to develop their own special abilities — lingered at the edges of Marvel's stable of characters, popping up individually here and there as a part of other storylines.
