Unusual, for a cruise ship, are its twin , three-bedroom, suites situated atop the ship complete with private garden and sundeck. When built, Norwegian Star was also one of the few cruise ships built without a casino, something that was prohibited by Hawaiian law; a casino was added in 2005 when she was repositioned.

North Harbor Tower is a 556 ft (169m) tall skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, US. It was completed in 1988 and has 55 floors. Fujikawa Johnson & Associates designed the building, which is the 53rd tallest in Chicago. Each window in the building has a triangular projection to take advantage of skyline, park, lake, and river views. As with many apartment buildings in the area, North Harbor Tower boasts several amenities such as an indoor pool, several door attendants, a 24-hour fitness center, and an outdoor sundeck.

Wight Sky, the second of three new vessels built for Wightlink, is a completely new design of vessel with more comfortable passenger facilities. The design by naval architects Hart Fenton & Company (now Houlder Ltd), utilises fixed and mobile mezzanine decks, complete disabled access and a larger cafe and sundeck area. There is a passenger lift between the car deck and passenger decks. The new vessels do not have the additional third deck of the old C-class ferries, with the space incorporated into the passenger lounges.

The company completed the conversion of the first two buildings by 2008. On the second floor are a restored theater/event space with catering kitchen and a rooftop sundeck.

At the Gansevoort Street end (which runs north-south), the stub over Gansevoort Street is named the Tiffany and Co. Foundation Overlook and was dedicated in July 2012; the foundation was a major supporter of the park. The route then passes under The Standard, High Line hotel and through a passage at 14th Street. The wings terminate on the side closest to North Servery in a five-story rotunda, a spiral staircase enclosed within a stack of rounded floors, providing the college with its sundeck, where many events are held. The easternmost wing contains common areas, the game room, a kitchen, and the TV room. The rotunda leads into the Commons, a cathedral-like room with a high ceiling that serves as a cafeteria, meeting room, and auditorium, among other functions. A grand bath-house was constructed at the shore and was scheduled to open on Independence Day, 1902, the day on which the Pacific Electric Railroad established service connecting communities along the line to offices and shopping in Downtown Los Angeles and bringing bathers and families south to shoreline recreation. Admission was charged for use of the clear, 'vacuumed', indoor freshwater pool, changing-rooms, and waterslide, all of which lay beyond a colonnade and sundeck. An interior balcony surrounding the pool and an outdoor one facing the beach offered people-watching on reclining lounges. The name was later changed to "The Plunge".

When Bradley joined WBZ the station was playing middle of the road music. But it soon transitioned toward rock-and-roll oriented top 40 fare and become the dominant radio station in the Boston market,, and Bradley a popular evening disc jockey doing the daily top-10 countdown. In the summer, he broadcast from the "WBZ Sundeck Studio", a trailer equipped as a radio station, placed at Paragon Park amusement park, where his teen fans and others could see him as he broadcast.

Meanwhile, the newly founded Commodore Cruise Line was looking for ships to operate on cruises around the Caribbean. An agreement was reached where the build contract of the half-complete ship was sold to the Sweden- based Wallenius Lines, which would have the ship completed as a cruise ship and, following completion, she would be chartered to Commodore Cruise Lines. Following their tradition of naming ships after operas, Wallenius decided to name the ship Bohème, after La bohème. Cabins were added in place of the car decks on the ship (although bow or stern doors were never fitted on her), and her superstructure was redesigned to better accommodate the need for sundeck space in the warmer climates.

Some referred to it as a sorority, and the Studio Club also offered classes in various aspects of the performing arts, as well as hosting dances, teas, dinners and occasional plays, fashion shows and stunt nights. The club also provided residents with two meals a day, sewing machines, hair driers, laundry equipment, typewriters, theater literature, practice rooms, stage and sundeck.

It was established with a $15 million donation from the eponymous Marian and Speros Martel Foundation, a longtime benefactor of Rice University. The college's building was designed by noted architect Michael Graves and housed its first students during the 2002–2003 school year. Martel is one of eleven residential colleges at Rice University, and it is the only one that has a Sallyport of its own; it is located adjacent to Jones and Duncan colleges on the north side of campus, sharing the North Servery with the former.

Cross continues on towards Las Vegas, until Flagg appears to her in the desert—Flagg reveals his true nature to Cross by raping her, an experience that is so horrific to Cross, despite causing her immense pleasure, that she falls into catatonia. Flagg takes Cross with him to Las Vegas and the pair reside in the penthouse suite of the MGM Grand hotel complex; Cross's pregnancy is announced shortly after their arrival in Las Vegas. Cross eventually recovers sufficiently to taunt Flagg about his inevitable failure until, in his rage, Flagg throws Cross off the penthouse sundeck and she is killed in the fall. Cross smiles as she falls and afterward Flagg observes that she had taunted him in the hopes that he would kill her.

From the planned entry a high-speed elevator was also planned that went to a glass-walled overlook at each guest floor, with full view of the Philadelphia skyline. By way of a separate lobby entrance and dedicated elevator, residents and guests of the restaurant and spa were to arrive at a 4th level resort which, in addition to indoor and outdoor dining on the river and a full service spa, an indoor and outdoor pool as well as whirlpools, a sundeck, a fitness center and a function room. A pool was to have extended out to a series of terraces which were to have cascaded down to the river and which included a sculpture and flower garden, putting green, tennis court and jogging track. Below the terraced garden plan is concealed parking for over 370 cars and the building's service facilities.

The Directors of the Llandudno Pier Company had successfully opened the new pier in 1878 and were now looking to expand their business to take advantage of Llandudno's growing popularity as a seaside resort. The existing sundeck pavilion at the end of the pier was proving inadequate to cope with the demand for musical recitals, so the decision was taken to build a bigger and better pavilion near the promenade entrance to the pier extension then under construction. Work started in 1881 and the plans called for a 2,000-seat three-storey structure, to be built in the typically flamboyant Victorian style, complete with a superbly detailed cast-iron veranda, running the length of the entire seaward side of the building. The pavilion was unusual in that it had two main entrances, the first from the pier entering at Stall level and the another on Happy Valley Road, which emerged onto the Balcony.
