The Expo expects representation from more than 190 nations and will feature three subthemes: opportunity, mobility and sustainability, each with its own pavilion.

Lego has produced four subthemes with space-related content for its Town and City themes: Launch Command, Space Port, City Space 2011, and City Space 2015. Each of these subthemes involves a realistic, Earth-based approach to space exploration. In 2018, LEGO released several new sets in the City theme with a focus on Mars. These subthemes are not considered to be official Lego Space themes.

Outside of Lego City's generic city and town life based sets that are released regularly, the theme has had various subthemes, many of which are recurring. Under the Lego Town theme, the subthemes released during the 1990s and early 2000s also had individualized branding and labeling. In 2003 and 2004, the only town-based sets were released under the "World City" label. Since the launch of City in 2005, they are just labeled as City sets but often have multiple sets based around a single concept released at the same time during Lego's release schedule.

Along with Futuron, Blacktron was one of the first unified subthemes in Space. The set designs were based around a black and yellow color scheme with transparent yellow windscreens and transparent red highlights. Blacktron minifigures wore black jumpsuits akin to today's military pilots, with white trim and opaque black visors. Blacktron was a major step forward in set design from the rather clunky designs of "Classic" Space.

History, Bio-Diversity, Sustainability and Green Cities made up the four subthemes of EXPO 2016 Antalya. EXPO 2016 Antalya, which hosted national and international congresses, panels, meetings and seminars, also provided cultural and artistic activities for its guests. 8 million locals and foreign visitors visited EXPO 2016 Antalya over its 6-month duration. EXPO 2016 Antalya was held on a 112-hectare exhibit site in Aksu.

Routine dynamics research by numerous scholars has been presented in subthemes at the European Group for Organizational Studies conference in 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2011. A proposal to convene a standing working group of the European Group for Organizational Studies on routine dynamics has been approved and will commence in 2015. A special issue of Organization Science on routine dynamics is currently under development.

The four gardens are the Indian Garden, the Chinese Garden, the Malay Garden and the Colonial Garden. The "World of Plants" theme emphasizes the web of relationships amongst the various plants within a fragile forest setting, showcasing the biodiversity of plant life on the planet. It consists of six subthemes illustrated by six "gardens", which are named Discovery, Web of Life, Fruits and Flowers, Understorey, World of Palms, and Secret Life of Trees.

The FISU World Conference on Innovation – Education – Sport will be held during the Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade on 25 and 26 January 2021. Under the main topic Challenges and Opportunities in Sport in modern society researchers will focus on three subthemes: Dual career / Digitalization / Women in top-class sport. The conference is located at the building of the University of Lucerne and organized by the University of Lucerne, the Universities of teacher education Lucerne, Zug and Schwyz and the Universities of applied sciences of Lucerne and Grisons.

A major theme in Traveling Shoes, one that many critics overlook, is Angelou's love for her son. The theme of motherhood is one of Angelou's most consistent themes throughout her series of autobiographies, although it does not overwhelm this book as it does in Gather Together in My Name and Singin' and Swingin' and Gettin' Merry Like Christmas. Motherhood is present in many of the book's subthemes—her relationship with her houseboy Kojo, her delight in being called "Auntie" by many African children,Lupton, p. 157. and her feelings toward "Mother Africa".

Eventually, different subthemes under the "Town" brand were used to tie together related sets, such as police, coast guard, emergency services, airport, road rescue, trains, fire, and harbour. During the Christmas season, a City-themed advent calendar set is sold through the online Lego Shop and at retailers. In June 2020, following the killing of George Floyd by police, Lego made an announcement that they would temporarily stop marketing police-related Lego City sets. Due to misinformation claiming that they removed these sets from being sold that led to backlash, Lego issued a follow-up statement emphasizing that the sets were still for sale and that digital advertising for the sets would just be temporarily haulted.

As the others arrived, they saw how Melkor's presence would destroy the integrity of Ilúvatar's themes. Eventually, and with the aid of the Vala Tulkas, who entered Arda last, Melkor was temporarily overthrown, and the Valar began shaping the world and creating beauty to counter the darkness and ugliness of Melkor's discordant noise. The Valar dwelt originally on the Isle of Almaren in the middle of the world, but after its destruction and the loss of the world's symmetry, they moved to the western continent of Aman and founded Valinor. The war with Melkor continued: the Valar realized many wonderful subthemes of Ilúvatar's grand music, while Melkor poured all his energy into Arda and the corruption of creatures like Balrogs, dragons, and orcs.

In the third story arc, Lupin intends to steal the Bloody Teardrop, a national treasure of the Southeast Asian kingdom of Padar, which is currently worn by its royal princess Dolma, who has befriended Ami. When a revolution threatens Dolma's life, Ami reunites with Lupin to rescue her. The fourth and final story arc sees a last reunion between Lupin and Ami against the Shake Hands Corporation, a shady IT conglomerate whose aim is world domination via an exclusive monopoly on cyber-trafficking and internet use, and which has been pulling the strings behind the scenes of some of Lupin's exploits in the series. Recurring subthemes in the series include the use of contemporary high technology (particularly the Internet, facial recognition programs and surveillance drones), and the question of trust between Lupin and the rest of his gang.

The Science Communication Observatory was responsible of the organization of the 8th International Conference of the PCST Network in Barcelona (Spain), June 2004. The main theme of the conference was "Scientific Knowledge and Cultural Diversity" which opened up a field to debate on the global discourse of science in a range of local culture and knowledge environments. When talking about various cultures we are referring to the different groups sharing the same language, same traditions, ideology or religion, inhabiting in a specific geographical environment, having the same job, or being a man or a woman, a young, a child, an elder… All this rich cultural diversity also reflects its stamp on scientific knowledge, in its creation and application as well as in the whole process of public communication of science and technology. The main theme of "Scientific Knowledge and Cultural Diversity", included 3 subthemes or discussion subjects.

Frieze Art Fair - Podcast The China Experience From 2009-2010, Lu was the founder and Art Director of SUITCASE ART PROJECTS, a project space of Today Art Museum. In 2007 she was one of three curators of the 7th Shenzhen Biennale, titled “Accidental Message: Art Is Not A System, Not A World” and conceived to include two subthemes: “Unexpected Encounters” and “What You See is What I See”. As the starting point for her curatorial research, Lu, along with her colleagues Liu Ding and Su Wei focused on experimental art practice in China since 1989 to 2000 to shape an observation of a local history, trying to look back on individual practices and art itself during this period of time. "Little Movements: Self-Practices in Contemporary Art", the project she and Liu Ding initiated and curated together, was exhibited at the OCT Contemporary Art Terminal in Shenzhen in September 2011, and will go on an international tour from 2012.

At the beginning of Aspects of Truth, Pickstock declares that "my thesis is unabashedly Platonic," and the same could be argued of her other works (xi). See for example Ch. 1 of After Writing, her several scholarly articles on Plato, and her popular essay on "Truth and Courage" from August, 2020. The dominant theme in Pickstock's writing thus far has been the way in which humans participate in the divine creation through language. Within this paradigm, at least four interlinked subthemes have found expression in her various writings: liturgy, music, repetition, and truth. First, the meaning and significance of liturgy, which was the subject of Pickstock's dissertation and first book, After Writing: On the Liturgical Consummation of Philosophy (1998). There, and in a number of related essays, she argues that language is fundamentally “doxological”: “that is to say, language exists primarily, and in the end only has meaning as, the praise of the divine” (xiii).

Discussion of sustained growth focused on international financial cooperation, improving macroeconomic forecasting, and structural reform to improve industrial competitiveness.
