UMAP exchange program is a two- way student exchange and it is for undergraduate and postgraduate students in all disciplines to undertake a minimum of one semester or maximum of two semesters towards their degree in universities overseas, with credit transfer managed by UMAP and cooperating institutions.

BCIT offers Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor in Accounting degrees. Students must complete a BCIT diploma program to enroll into a degree program. Students can complete a bachelor degree within three years by completing a two year diploma program and one additional year of business studies. In Season 2, Dana was accepted by a European student exchange program to study in Paris, which lasts for the rest of the series. She was originally written to end up as Logan's girlfriend but was replaced by Quinn Pensky. She appeared in a total of thirteen episodes, all in Season 1. Dana has two arguments throughout the series with Zoey Brooks.

In early April 2013, Luo was questioned by Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmaker Chen Chi-mai regarding the effectiveness of the MTAC-sponsored student exchange program from Taiwan to Inner Mongolia because most reports made of the trip by the Taiwanese students mentioned the ample drinking opportunities presented to them during the program. The DPP lawmaker even slammed Luo when he found out that one of the student report said that "people from both side of the Taiwan Strait belong to one family". Luo defended the program by stating that the drinking was only one of many other activities conducted during the student exchange program, which also included visits to historical and cultural sites. She also said that the students may have emphasized drinking because it was a novel experience they did not have in Taiwan.

Otago Polytechnic offers a range of student exchange programmes, available to Otago Polytechnic and international students through its Study Abroad and Explore More initiatives. Matthew Gebert is the older of two brothers in his family, and he and Michael grew up in Somerdale, New Jersey. He graduated from Sterling High School and was known for liberal views. He listened to hip hop, including the rap group Wu-Tang Clan. Voted by his class as "Most Likely to Succeed", Gebert had earlier participated in a student exchange program in Ukraine.

Japan became the first country in Asia to have an educational partnership with a school in Angola on Jan. 21, 2013, when Japan's Ryukoku University (Kyoto City) and Angola's Agostinho Neto University engaged in a student exchange and academic research cooperative agreement. The cooperative agreement was signed at the Angolan Embassy in Japan by Ryukoku's Dean Akamatsu, Agostinho Neto University's Dean, and the Angolan Ambassador to Japan.

WCU opened an International Programs office to aide in sending students abroad. West Chester sponsors a number of annual courses, which include study abroad during spring, summer, and winter breaks. Watson met Dutch model Virginia Slaghekke, who is represented by Donald Trump's Trump Model Management, at Hole in the Wall in New York City while he was working there during his suspension in 2016, and they began dating in August 2016. Høyland Lower Secondary School () is a school for 8th to 10th grade in the district of Austrått, Sandnes, Norway. It is attended by pupils from the school districts of Figgjo, Gandal and Austrått. The University has entered into collaboration with Institutions of eminence in India & abroad including IIT Delhi, IIIM, Kurukshetra University, Thapar University, Aachen University Germany, Kun-Shan University Taiwan to enhance faculty-student exchange and co-operate in Research activities. The university has recently started hosting the British Council Higher Education Center for convenience of students. The university is among the few institutions in the country which host the Counseling Center of AIEEE-CCB.
The A class is the Italian-Hungarian bilingual class. Students in this class have 12 Italian lessons a week, and from the second year onwards they study certain subjects (geography, history, mathematics, Italian culture and civilisation, and art history) in Italian. They also have skills development lessons in Italian, as well. To maximise the opportunities to learn the language, they regularly have lessons with native Italian teachers and take part in various student exchange programmes.

He holds a PhD in Engineering from National University of Singapore. Suranga spent half a year at University of Birmingham and half a year at University of Southern California under student exchange program.

The European Union Ambassador in Ukraine, Jose Pinto Teixeira, opened the Information Center of the European Union at our University. The University is included in the register of European universities operating in the context of the Bologna system on the principles of openness and mobility. The International Department of the University is successfully working on the programs of double bachelor diplomas and student exchange. Concluded agreements with the universities of Strasbourg (France) and Mittwayde (Germany).
In 1973, Torrance established a sister-city relationship with Kashiwa, Chiba, Japan, as part of the Sister Cities International program. Since then, citizens of Torrance have regularly engaged in cultural exchange with Kashiwa through the guidance of the Torrance Sister City Association, which facilitates a Japanese cultural festival, a yearly student exchange program, and contact between officials of the two cities. North High is the official sister high school of Kashiwa Municipal High.
Notable events are the annual Dronfield Gala and the Dronfield Woodhouse and Coal Aston well dressings, which are held in July. Since 1972 Dronfield has been twinned with Sindelfingen in Germany. A park in Dronfield Woodhouse was renamed Sindelfingen Park in the early 1990s to celebrate this partnership. He is second of three children. Nababan moved to Sioux City, Iowa, United States, in 1988 to continue his studies through a student exchange.

The partnership developed from a long-lasting student exchange of the Gesamtschule Kierspe with a high school in Montigny-le-Bretonneux. The town is twinned with Denton, Greater Manchester, which is also twinned with Montigny-le-Bretonneux. A delegation from Denton arrived in April 2012 to discuss the twinning, which eventually took place in a ceremony in Denton on 22 September 2012.
Exeter High School is the only public high school in the state of New Hampshire to offer Japanese as a foreign language option to students. The school also participates in a student exchange program with Chiben Gakuen Nara College High School in Nara, Japan; students from Chiben are hosted at Exeter for three weeks in March every year, and students from Exeter are hosted at Chiben for two weeks in July every other year.
Hamid Kohram (; – 19 March 2020) was an Iranian politician and veterinarian who served as a member of the Iranian Parliament representing Ahwaz between 2000 and 2004. He was also the Director General of Scholarships Office and Student Exchange, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. During the 2017 presidential election, Kohram was the head of Hassan Rouhani's campaign in Khuzestan province. Kohram died as a result of COVID-19 on 19 March 2020.

Recanati made large charitable contributions to the Beth Israel Medical Center, a hospital based in New York City where the Recanati Cardiology Research Fund and the Recanati/Horowitz Cardiology Diagnostic Research Fund was named in his honor. He also endowed the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital. Further donations went to the UJA-Federation of New York. Recanati endowed the Recanati Israel Student Exchange Fellowships at Yeshiva University, where he was a guardian.

Behets' father worked as a civil engineer, which took him around the world and as a result much of Behets' childhood was spent in Germany, Africa and Sierra Leone before returning to England. At age 17 she was accepted into the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, studying there for two years. After completing the course she travelled to the United States as part of a student exchange project, working there as a nightclub dancer.

The special directly follows the events of the 1980 theatrical feature film Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back!!). Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, and Woodstock are returning from their student exchange in Paris. The Tokyo office of the Council on International Educational Exchange, the student exchange organisation, which oversees roughly half of the international students, is also based on the main Yotsuya Campus. The following year, SEMESRA paid visits to several schools in Padang, Indonesia. This year (2014), the school delegates went to visit Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Apart from that, SEMESRA students also participate in student-exchange programmes, Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) which is held every year. Donsker also served as chair of the Board of Foreign Scholarships, a U.S. government panel responsible for student exchange programs, after being appointed by presidents Ford and Carter. Since 1979 Nativity has emphasized global education. It was then that Nativity joined International School-to-School Experience (ISSE), an organization that partners elementary schools for the purpose of a student exchange. In the years that followed, Nativity has exchanged delegations with schools in India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Argentina, Ecuador, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Bermuda, and Mexico. Westerdals Oslo School of Arts, Communication and Technology was established in July 2014 as a result of the merger of the three colleges Westerdals School of Communication, NISS (Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio) and NITH (The Norwegian School of Information Technology). Westerdals Oslo ACT offers an interdisciplinary learning environment, where students have an opportunity to collaborate widely across various fields, and the school, owned by the company Anthon B Nilsen, is part of the Erasmus+ student exchange programme.
Since 2012 the MCR has had its own social area in the McCall MacBain Graduate Centre, with its kitchen, small bar, and Media room. The college sports ground is located in Summertown, adjoining the Merifield residential complex. Wadham has a student exchange program with the Sarah Lawrence College in New York. About 30 students come each year and live at Merifield, and about six Wadham students go to SLC in the spring each year for 3 weeks.

In February 2008, TERI School of Advanced Studies signed MoUs with University of Iceland, Iceland and North Carolina State University, USA. TERI School of Advanced Studies signed Mevlana staff and student exchange agreement with Akdeniz University from Antalya-Turkey in 2018.
In the 2015 Tournament of Minds, SGHS won the Maths & Engineering division, and gained honours in the Social Sciences division. With regards to overseas tours, students are often offered the opportunity to travel to China, France, Japan, Germany, and Italy. This is often for LOTE or ancient history study. There is also a student exchange program set up with Beijing Normal High School in China, The Lycée Paul Cézanne in France, and the Konan Girls High School in Japan.
The department takes part in ongoing research by assisting staff and students in the various research areas and also by making sure they have been fully trained. The university has a very large library. Students in the department may get the chance to take part in an international Student exchange program which means they will be travelling to another university in Europe. This is due to the department supporting the studying of students in other countries throughout the world.
University Carlos III of Madrid () (UC3M) is a public university in the Community of Madrid, Spain. Established in 1989, UC3M is an institution with a distinctly international profile. It offers a broad range of master's and bachelor's degree programs in English and nearly 20% of the student body is made up of international students. It is the first university in Spain and the third in Europe in the number of its students participating in the Erasmus student exchange programs.
Uppsala University has signed student exchange agreements with about 400 universities across all parts of the world. It takes part in the Erasmus programme and the Nordplus programme. It also benefits from its membership of the Coimbra Group of universities. In May 2010 Uppsala joined the Matariki Network of Universities (MNU) together with Dartmouth College (USA), Durham University (UK), Queen's University (Canada), University of Otago (New Zealand), University of Tübingen (Germany), and University of Western Australia (Australia).
Class trips usually take place once in the lower level (grades 5-7), in the middle class (8-10), and in the upper stage (11-13). In the middle class, a student exchange is often held instead of a class trip. In the seventh, eighth, ninth, and twelfth grades students in a class can voluntarily join a teacher who accompanies them for reflection and retreats. During the eleventh grade students have the opportunity to go abroad for one year.
Southern Cross Cultural Exchange (SCCE) is an Australian-based educational organisation specialising in exchange programs for secondary school students which seek to promote tolerance and further international understanding. SCCE was the first Australian-based student exchange organisation, founded in 1983. It has since exchanged over 13,000 students with 27 countries. SCCE is a non- government organisation approved and registered with Australian federal and state education departments, and established with immigration and education authorities throughout the world.
International understanding has been fostered by the MAIS annual student exchange with St. Benno-Gymnasium in Dresden, Germany and two schools, Realschule Germering – Unterpfaffenhofen (near Munich), and Sophie-la-Rochelle in Kaufbeuren (a medieval town near the Alps) in Bavaria. The Bavarian exchange was organised after an MOU signed between the governments of Karnataka and Bavaria. There is an exchange programme for +2 students with Ostra Reals Gymnasium and Kungsholmens Gymnasium in Stockholm, Sweden as well.

The first American settler was General Uriah Forrest, an aide-de-camp of George Washington who built an estate called Rosedale (now at 3501 Newark Street) in 1793, when he began serving as a Congressman from Maryland. Later, it housed Youth For Understanding, an international student exchange organization. In 2002, the Rosedale grounds were placed in a public conservancy, and the farmhouse, said to be the oldest house in Washington, returned to residential use. Other estates followed.

The TWA Flight 800 Memorial Montoursville was disproportionately affected by the explosion of TWA Flight 800 on July 17, 1996, off East Moriches, New York, as 21 of the 230 passengers were Montoursville-area residents. Steve Johnson was born in Liverpool in England. At school, Johnson was a keen middle distance runner and set a Great Britain record for his age group in the 1,500 metre run. The darkest period of the newly reorganized Macrohon Institute occurred in the early morning hours of June 1, 2001 when the township was awakened by a rapidly consuming fire involving the whole main building which houses the school's administration offices, library system, faculty room, armory, reception area, stock and utility room, the school's student exchange, two of its class rooms and science laboratories. None of its precious resources were saved. Macrohon Institute stood despondent, abandoned, drained and bankrupt. Even the school's treasury has been plundered.

The purpose of the program is to provide a unique opportunity for students to live and study at important institutions of higher learning that are significantly different from the social and educational environment typical of California state colleges and universities.

Nevertheless, a couple of accords have been signed between Tunisia's Ezzeitouna University and Pakistan's International Islamic University (2012) as well as the University of Tunis al-Manar and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (2015), also known by its acronym CIIT, in Pakistan.
Following the German Abitur in Celle in 1954, from 1954 to 1956 Beyme initially began his studies towards a career as a publisher. Thereafter, from 1956 to 1961, he studied Political Science, History, History of Art and Sociology at the Universities of Heidelberg, Bonn, Munich, Paris and Moscow. The unusual choice of Moscow (1959–60) as a place of study was made, based on interest and on Beyme's personal history. He learned Russian in adult education courses and successfully applied to study in Moscow within the scope of a student exchange programme.
IUMW students are able to opt for dual awards whereby graduates of dual award programmes will receive a parchment from both IUMW and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), in the UK. The student exchange program takes place every year in 4º Liceo (Tenth grade). Students must pay the two-month trip by themselves, as the school offers little to no trip scholarships. The destination is several cities in Germany, such as Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg for two weeks, after which each student is sent to live with its exchange family, separated from most others in a preset small village or major city. After those two months, they come back and house the same German student who they stayed with.

Under Moses directorship the Wolfson Centre co-operated closely with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Lublin University of Technology, Poland in 1980s and 1990s. He was actively involved in promoting Israeli issues on US campuses and at Penn State he established and directed a non- religious, pro-Israeli student organization called Yachad which received support from the Israeli government. He also established and directed at Penn State a student exchange summer program of Penn State students at Tel-Aviv University.
Five Prefectural Colleges, namely Tokyo Prefectural College of Technology, Tokyo Prefectural College of Science, Tokyo Prefectural College of Machine Industry, Tokyo Prefectural College of Chemical Industry and Tokyo Prefectural College of Women were also merged to Tokyo Metropolitan University. In 1957, Faculty of Law and Economics was separated from Faculty of Humanities, and reorganised as Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics in 1966. As expanding its organisation, the university was relocated to 1–1–1 Minami-Osawa, Hachioji in 1991. The university signed the student exchange agreement with University of Vienna in 1997.

Curtze participated in a Rotary Club student exchange to Scandinavia, which led to his appointment to the United States Naval Academy. Curtze was a star gymnast while attending the Naval Academy, winning second place in 1931 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League and leading the midshipmen to the league's championship in 1933. When he qualified for the US gymnastics team attending the 1936 Summer Olympics, his position with the US Navy caused the State Department to prohibit his travel to Berlin, Germany during Adolf Hitler's rule. Curtze graduated from the Naval Academy in 1933.
Mazenod College currently has a close relationship with an overseas school; Daisho Gakuen College in Osaka, Japan. This relationship was formed to strengthen Mazenod's LOTE department, giving students the invaluable opportunity to come in contact with Japanese students (one of the three languages are available for study at Mazenod). Each year Mazenod and its brother school overseas undertake a student exchange study trip, with Mazenod students travelling to Osaka for a study trip and students from Daisho travelling to Melbourne on exchange for a short period. This usually occurs in alternating years.
Hoshino Resorts Tomamu Tomamu in the eastern part of the village area is the site of the Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, one of Hokkaido's major ski resorts, located on the southern slopes of Mount Tomamu. The resort is dominated by four 40-storey (121 metre) high-rise towers built during the boom of the late 1980s. The exteriors of these buildings have recently been redecorated by Klein Dytham architecture (KDa) of Shibuya, Tokyo to make them harmonize better with their surroundings. Shimukappu and Tomamu have a student exchange/sister city program with Aspen, Colorado.

Incoming freshmen may apply to the Honors College anytime. However, completed applications are due by the first day of classes. The application procedure requires an honors application form, an official high school or college transcript, ACT/SAT test scores, an essay on a topic of the applicant's choice, a statement of academic career plans, and a reference letter from a former teacher, high school counselor, or faculty member. The Honors College also accepts applications from transfer students, students on National Student Exchange, and current MSU students who wish to join the Honors College.

Barbara Lawton was unanimously elected Chairwoman of the National Lieutenant Governor's Association (NLGA) at their 2008 annual meeting in Buffalo, NY. Lawton served as the Vice-Chair of the NLGA in 2007. NLGA Chair Remarks In September 2008, as Chairwoman of the NLGA, Lawton had traveled on a mission to China along with Lt. The north2north student exchange program provides opportunities for students from UArctic member institutions to experience different northern regions firsthand, and to share experiences face-to-face by allowing students to study at other UArctic institutions. As a north2north participant, students travel to another circumpolar institution for a period of 3–12 months. This time period is dependent on the needs of the student, as well as the structures of their home and host institutions. Students have the advantage of taking courses that may not be available at their home institution and the courses taken during the exchange year are credited towards their degree.

The College, in addition to catering for mature students, also offers special entry to disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, refugees, members of ethnic minorities and Travellers. MIC also offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and is committed to improving access to higher education for adults—a range of tailored programmes and supports that make the journey for adult learners as easy as possible. She was raised mainly in her parents' village of Lopača, just north of Rijeka, where the family owned a butcher shop and a ranch. As a high school student, she entered a student exchange program and at 17 moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico, subsequently graduating from Los Alamos High School in 1986.

In 2007 Gymnasium Lerchenfeld started offering a full German-Spanish bilingual education program, originally designed to fill the void and meet the ever-increasing demand from studens and parents, especially native speakers and students coming from other bilingual schools. Following a 2016 reform, students with no Spanish background are also admitted to the program, having to go through an intensive schedule during 5th and 6th grade, designed to grant them the ability to take subjects taught in Spanish in the following years, such as Biology, Geograohy or History. The JEASP has three main academic components: Japanese Language Courses (JLC), Japan Studies Courses (JSC), and China and Korea Studies Courses (CKSC); except JLC, the program courses are conducted in English. As a high school student, Dalby visited Japan in a student exchange program; there she learned to play the shamisen. In 1975, she returned to Japan for a year to research the geisha community, as part of her anthropology fieldwork. Dalby's research, done as part of her Ph.D studies at Stanford University, was presented in her dissertation, and became the basis for her first book, Geisha, about the culture of the geisha community. Her study, which included interviews with more than 100 geisha, was considered to be excellent and received praise from scholars at the time of publication, although some retrospective scholarship is more critical.
The delegation's objective was to discuss the institutions' strategies for commercializing research findings, fostering university- industry collaboration, and encouraging international students to learn about local language and culture. On 18 November 2016, Xiamen University and Cardiff University in Wales, United Kingdom initiated a "strategic partnership" including a program for co-supervision of doctoral students, and £1.2 million in seed funding for "collaborative research projects" to benefit the economy of Wales. Subsequently, a delegation from Cardiff University visited the Xiamen University School of International Relations to explore possible areas of research collaboration and student exchange. In October 2018, Xiamen University hosted the 4th Internet+ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
At the age of 7 or 8 she began gymnastic classes, progressing at the age of 9 to a Bucharest ballet school which acted as a feeder for the Romanian State Ballet school. Later the same year she took and passed the entrance exam for the school and a few months later was chosen (with 8 other Romanian students) by the director of the Kiev Ballet school to take part in a student exchange. Teacher training and Japanese studies student recruitment for the next fiscal year (for those arriving in Japan in October) is made between December of the previous year and the following February. Screening is conducted between mid-February and March. Selected candidates are recommended to the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by end of April. University recommendation: Research students and Japanese studies students who will be studying in Japan as an exchange student based on inter-university student exchange agreements can be screened through the national, public or private Japanese university involved as a candidate for a Japanese Government Scholarship.

Robert Francis Patrick Cronin, FRCPC, FACP, FRCP (1 September 1926 – 13 January 2007) was a cardiologist, researcher, professor, and healthcare consultant who served as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University from 1972 to 1977. Dr. Cronin became widely recognized for his work in developing countries. In the early 1960s, he initiated an exchange program between McGill and local doctors in Nairobi, Kenya, and he later worked for the Osler Medical Aid Foundation, now known as the McGill International Health Initiative. Additionally, he collaborated with the Canadian International Development Agency to set up student exchange programs with Kenya, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Ethiopia, Pakistan and Tunisia.
The International Air Cadet Exchange is an annual student exchange program designed to promote character, good-will, and cooperation among the world's civilian auxiliary aviation programs. Participants come from organizations such as the Air Training Corps, Girls Venture Corps Air Cadets, Australian Air Force Cadets, United States Civil Air Patrol, German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics, Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Turkish Aeronautical Association, Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps, Singapore National Cadet Corps, along with fifteen other equivalent groups in other nations. Cadets spend approximately two weeks every July/August with their foreign counterparts. The first exchange occurred in 1947, between the United Kingdom and Canada.

As an international commerce student at the University of New South Wales, she began taking Mandarin Chinese courses in 2012, and in 2014 she took a student exchange period in Shanghai, of seven months, at Fudan University. Brandi Shearer was raised on a rural farm in Oregon and was encouraged to sing and play music by her grandmother, which also led to her receiving a guitar as a gift from her father. In her teens, Shearer began to study classical guitar and voice, and won an opera scholarship to a local college. A student exchange program brought her to Hungary in Europe, where she became exposed to the music of a variety of American Jazz and Blues artists, including Billie Holiday. Subsequently, she dropped out of school and left her home and began performing in clubs and bars in Hungary and France.
Global Generation Programme Japan All Saints has international links with the Arima Senior High School, in Sanda, Hyōgo, Japan through the Global Generation Programme which started in 2005 and continues bi-annually. The students from Arima Senior High School come from Japan to visit the school, learn the differences between Japanese and Malaysian life and culture here in Sabah, led by selected All Saints students. Students who are selected to participate in the student- exchange programme travel to Arima Senior High School in Japan, accompanied by teachers. The bi-annual programme allows All Saints students to experience the life and culture of Japan and to make Japanese friends.

Upon graduation, he went on to specialize in filmmaking with a post-graduate degree from Whistling Woods international in Mumbai. His academic performance resulted in him being selected for the student exchange program involving a semester-long course in Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia where he studied Film Direction, Editing, and Sound Design.

After appearing in several plays, Tierney moved to Los Angeles, California in 1987 where her big break was a role in Disney's made-for-TV film Student Exchange. Tierney's first starring role in a film was in a low-budget independent film called Dead Women in Lingerie, which was shot in 24 days. Despite receiving a DVD release in 2005, the film has yet to also receive a theatrical release. Tierney had a number of small roles in film and television (including a role in 704 Hauser, a short-lived 1994 spin-off of All in the Family), but first received regular national exposure with her leading role in the sitcom NewsRadio from 1995 to 1999.
As postgraduate student he studied special plant production with student exchange in Moscow (RU), Rothamsted (UK) and Halle (former DDR). During the 1990s the Turing Institute had been involved in a wide range of robotics activities and had developed links with many leading robotics laboratories as a result of both student exchange and a series of collaborative research projects. The event was conceived and directed by Dr Peter Mowforth, Director of the Turing Institute, as an events-based meetup for robot enthusiasts and builders. Although there had been single event competitions and national events for competing robots, this was the first time that such a large, varied and international Robot Competition had taken place. Thordis' most well known book is South of Forgiveness, a documentation of her sexual assault and journey to healing and freedom, in which Thordis collaborated with her perpetrator, making her the first rape survivor in the world to publicly do so. In 1996, Tom Stranger, aged 18, was offered a student exchange trip to Iceland where he met 16-year-old Thordis Elva at a theatrical event organized by the school they both attended. They began a romantic relationship in Reykjavík, and had been in a relationship for over a month prior to the sexual assault taking place. Although Moscow has a number of famous Soviet-era higher educational institutions, most of which are more oriented towards engineering or the fundamental sciences, in recent years Moscow has seen a growth in the number of commercial and private institutions that offer classes in business and management. Many state institutions have expanded their education scope and introduced new courses or departments. Institutions in Moscow, as well as the rest of post-Soviet Russia, have begun to offer new international certificates and postgraduate degrees, including the Master of Business Administration. After some reconstruction and clearing work was done it was possible to restore school life as early as by September 1945. In 1966, an annual student exchange program to Saint John's Preparatory School in Collegeville, Minnesota (also operated by a Benedictine abbey, Saint John's) was established, and is currently still operating. Through these cooperative efforts, the university hosts visiting faculty and research fellows from institutions abroad, and in turn, Ateneo faculty members also engage in teaching, research, and study in institutions abroad. International cooperation also includes active student exchange through Philippine immersion programs for a month or two for small groups of 15–18 students or full study programs wherein students from partner institutions abroad take regular courses. Students of the Loyola Schools can also register for the Junior Term Abroad program, which allows them to spend a semester in one of Ateneo's partner schools for undergraduate studies.
Over time, the Valletta campus became too small and Evans Laboratories (now known as Evans Building) was built in 1959 to house the Faculty of Science. In 1968, the Medical School moved to a building near St. Luke's Hospital in Gwardamanġa. The University opened a much larger campus at Tal-Qroqq in Msida in the late 1960s, but it retained the Valletta building which is still used for some lectures and conferences. The university is a member of the European University Association, the European Access Network, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Utrecht Network, the Santander Network, the Compostela Group, the European Association for University Lifelong Learning (EUCEN) the International Student Exchange Programme (ISEP) and the Excellence Network of Island Universities [RETI].
The admission for the two-year PGP and fellowship programmes is done through Common Admission Test (CAT), while GMAT score is used for International Programme in Management for Executives, a one-year full-time residential programme equivalent to an MBA program, while admission to the Two-year PGP for working executive program is done based on GMAT score or a competitive written examination conducted by IIM Lucknow. The shortlisted candidates based on GMAT or the written examination go through the Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview (WAT & PI) to get final selection. The programs are accredited by the global accreditation body AMBA and AACSB. The institute has tie-ups with 24 leading B-schools across the world for student exchange.
Programs of student exchange and faculty training have been expanding with cooperation on some dual degree programs since 2000. HU started similar programs in South Korea since the late 1990s and so far it has 7 sister universities in South Korea with exchange programs for students and faculty and dual degree programs in language, Tourism Management, Computer Science and Chinese Teaching. Each year some 50 foreign students are admitted into HU for Chinese language and culture learning, and joint workshops and internship/thesis writing are also arranged on the campus for international students from sister universities. Core modules also include General Linguistics, Italian Linguistics, Translation Theory, Elements of Economics, Geography and Law. There is an entry level writing test in English and Italian prior to enrolment (end of September). Exam sessions take place in January, May–June and September–October. Since 1987, SSML has actively participated in the Erasmus Programme, the EU student exchange programme which enables students attending SSML to study abroad at its partner universities and/or work for partner companies in the European Union whilst receiving a bursary. It is also a member of the Ge4, or Global Education: Exchanges for Engineers and Entrepreneurs, an independent non-profit network of universities established in 1996 for the purpose of connecting global industry and academic institutions.
Scott Rozelle was born on a ranch located in Los Angeles, California in 1955 as a fifth- generation Californian. His father was an agricultural economist who owned a commercial agribusiness magazine that initially introduced agriculture to him. At the time, few high schools in the country could provide Chinese classes to students; however, since the U.S. government made efforts to enhance Chinese language education even before its diplomatic relations with China were re- established, Rozelle was able to learn Chinese at his own junior high school in 1966, at the age of 12. In 1974, Rozelle was completing his undergraduate studies at Cornell University but eventually stayed in Taiwan for three years through a student exchange program, although he originally planned to stay there for only three months.
In 2014, the University renewed its partnership with the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) deploying Australian Volunteers to help the University in its flagship program in Organic Agriculture, thus, establishing the Organic Agriculture Development Program (OADP) and opening the first Organic Techno- Science Park in the University. On the same year of 2014, the University deployed its first student exchange to the University of Tsukuba in Ibaraki, Japan as part of the partnership with the same university under the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS). The partnership also enabled the University to take advantage of the opportunities and ventured into the Trans- ASEAN Global Agenda Program. The University has sent two students who are currently in University of Tsukuba, taking up a 4-year course under the scholarship provided by the AIMS.
Growing up in Australia, Chad was exposed to American, British and Australian humor, but developed an interest in owarai (Japanese comedy) after a student exchange program took him by chance to Osaka (a.k.a. "The City of Comedy.") Having been exposed to the rich culture of uniquely Japanese comedy (including manzai, conte, shinkigeki, oogiri and batsu game,) and being particularly fascinated by the talent of comedy duo Downtown's Hitoshi Matsumoto, Chad joined NSC, after which he spent two years as an apprentice to The Bonchi's Osamu (the first manzai artist to sell out the 14,000 capacity Nippon Budokan.) By taking Osamu as his mentor, Chad became one of only three "brothers" to cult comedian Jimmy Onishi (of Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!-fame) and shinkigeki leader Hiro Yoshida.
Study Abroad considers its existence, at least, since the early ‘90s where it began as a project under the name “How to Study Abroad” and later on as "Study and Work Abroad" (SWA). Since 2005 the Service has focused on “Study Abroad” (SA) and can now be found through the main website where information, advice and experience stories can be found. As of 2015, the Travel Network and the Study Abroad Services have been merged into the Study & Travel Abroad Service, which continues much with the same visions, missions and values as the predecessors. In 2016, the Student Exchange Responsible became part of the team, opening up the opportunity for Member Organisations to receive support from EFPSA in organising their international exchanges with other psychology student associations and students from other healthcare disciplines.
Khương attended Junio High School at College Le Myre de Vilers, Mỷ Tho, Vietnam from 1941 to 1948 and graduated with Valedictorian. During this time, there was no higher education institution available in his hometown Mỷ Tho, his parents sent Khương to a French Preparatory School – Lycée Yersin, Đà Lạt, Viêt Nam from 1948–51. Khương was also awarded Honors Prize from the Parents Association of Vietnam most renowned and famous French Preparatory schools in SàiGòn: Chasseloup Laubat, Marie Curie, and Petrus Trương Vỉnh Ký. After earning his French Baccalauréat diploma, Khương went to the United States as a foreign student exchange to attend Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania from 1952 to 1956. He earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Fulbright Scholar status and graduated First in class.
Born in Mounds View, Minnesota, Biron grew up nearby in rural Minnesota, moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his mother after his parents' divorce. While studying at the University of Michigan, he studied at the Moscow Art Theatre on student exchange and was, unusually, invited to stay and join the incoming Russian class. He has spoken about having had a romantic image of Russia, having known very little Russian on arrival; being less able to communicate with other Muscovites, he focused on studying. In one of his final student roles, he won an award for his portrayal of Hamlet in a production that toured to New York's Baryshnikov Arts Center; he drew the attention of the Gogol Center and plaudits from , artistic director of the Meyerhold Center and one of his former instructors.
In 2010, in its first evaluation by the Ministry of Education, Unicap received a 4 out of 5. Singled out for commendation were "The policy for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate, research, extension," the policy of incentives for graduates (with the payment of grants and agreements for internships), the approval of the trained law course in the examination of the Bar Association of Brazil (more than 60%), 33 Unicap research groups registered with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), and the program of scholarships for teachers and employees. Unicap’s Student Exchange Program offers one or two semesters in an IES exchange program at the national or international level. This is encouraged by the Association of Universities entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America (AUSJAL), for a beneficial integration of students from Latin American Jesuit higher education institutions.
In 2003, a dilapidated classroom building set among the woodland was renovated into the Brian Foster Environment Centre, named after a late teacher. From this base, Dorothy Stringer has become the lead environmental school in Brighton and Hove, forming international links with St Joseph's School in Le Havre for which funding from the Franco-British Council was won, and a student exchange trip is run for Year Seven pupils. Dorothy Stringer is also known for its forming of links with neighbouring schools and, within the school, involving a large number of students in educational environmental activities. Dorothy Stringer became a specialist sports school in 2002 and despite the government abolishing specialisms in schools in 2012, sport remains an important feature: pupils receive at least two hours of sport education a week, in line with government guidelines.
He held on November 1, 1980 doctoral thesis in theology with the title image of Solomon in Hebrew and Greek Bible - a contribution to the Midrash study's. In the same period, Petercă followed two semesters of courses at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (in the first theological student exchange between Vatican City and Israel) and earned a bachelor of science Augustinianum Patristic Institute in Rome. Back in Romania, during 1981-1995 he worked as lecturer, senior lecturer and then professor at the Institute of Roman Catholic education in Science degree, teaching courses in biblical theology, biblical exegesis and biblical languages. In parallel, he made regular lectured introduction to the Bible at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (Department of History) (since 1990), and is also a visiting professor at the University of Münster (1985-1986) and the University of Munich (1988-1989).
Other international groupings that UCL is a member of include the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association and the Universities Research Association. UCL has a major collaboration with Yale University, the Yale UCL Collaborative, and has hundreds of other research and teaching partnerships, including around 150 research links and 130 student-exchange partnerships with European universities. UCL has been a member of the SES engineering and physical sciences research alliance since May 2013, which it formed with the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Southampton and Imperial College London (King's College London subsequently joined in 2016). UCL is a member of the Thomas Young Centre, an alliance of London research groups working on the theory and simulation of materials; the other members are Imperial College London, King's College London and Queen Mary University of London.
Switzerland was unable to sign the European Economic Area treaty, even though it had participated actively in drawing it up, owing to a negative vote in a Swiss referendum in November 1992. A bilateral agreement with the EU nevertheless allows Switzerland to take advantage of the main EU instruments in place, including the seven-year framework programmes for research and innovation, the Future and Emerging Technologies programme, the grants of the European Research Council and the Erasmus programme for student exchange, in return for adhering to the 'four freedoms' of the single market, the freedom of movement of goods, services, people and capital. Switzerland's political ties to the EU are therefore more tenuous than those of the three other EFTA members. Switzerland is the most successful country per capita in the calls for research proposals issued by the European Research Council.
The Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program or Near East, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa Undergraduate Exchange Program is an American international student exchange program. It provides for students from the Near East, from South Asia and from Sub-Saharan Africa to attend American universities for a year of study. It is managed by World Learning for the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, and is a part of the Bureau's Global Undergraduate Exchange Program. In the academic year 2013–2014, students who visited the United States under the program came from Algeria, Angola, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ghana, India, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Oman, the Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
The terms of the homestay are generally worked out by the host and guest in advance and can include items such as the type of lodging, length of stay, housekeeping or work required to be performed, curfews, use of utilities and household facilities, food to be provided, and rules related to smoking, drinking, and drugs. Homestays offer several advantages such as exposure to everyday life in another location, opportunities for cultural diplomacy, friendship, intercultural competence, and foreign language practice, local advice, and a lower carbon footprint compared to other types of lodging; however, they may have restrictions such as curfews and work requirements and may not have the same level of comfort, amenities, and privacy as other types of lodging. Independent travelers typically arrange homestays via social networking services. Homestays can also be arranged by academic institutions (for their students that study abroad or participate in student exchange programs).
