Casey throws up the pills she has already taken, and when the hacker tries to threaten to post the photos again, they make several typos, revealing that they are beginning to falter. Casey tells the hacker to go ahead and post the photos if they wish because they can do nothing to control the actions or emotions of her family, her friends or her real life, before heading to the door to call Megan back. Defeated, the hacker pleads with her to stay, offering to reveal their true identity. Casey simply returns to the computer, looks right into the webcam and tells the hacker that their identity doesn't matter to her, because when she stops talking to them, they become nothing.

Her appearance also gets more human, her skin and hair becoming less wax-like (again indicating that her body is really an imitation, which she can fine-tune and improve as she gets to observe humans up close). Among her friends, she eventually stops talking in the staccato, robot-like voice she used at first, beginning to sound more like a normal human child. She also seems to develop an appreciation for the human concept of "fun", and uses her abilities to fly or to effortlessly replicate things as a source of entertainment and adventures for her friends. Eventually the kids are no longer able to keep Maika hidden from the adults, nor does she herself try to be particularly discreet.

Destroyed, Lucía receives the final blow when her son Miguel Ángel blames her for his break-up with his most recent conquest and stops talking to her. With a shattered soul and feeling that she is a hindrance for her family, she packs her things and goes to Spain to start a new life and try to find little Natalia. In Spain she meets three of Triana's friends: Santiago (René Strickler), a distinguished painter, and Jordi (Luis Javier) and Mayte (Yolanda Ventura), who welcome her with care and offer her a home. Santiago and Lucía feel attracked to one another immediately, but, although her heart is consumed with love for Santiago, turns out to be "Wind", Lucía is still married and offers him her friendship.

Lord Brahma warns Yamraj and Chitragupt that within one month they should find the book, otherwise they lose their supernatural powers. On earth, Suraj again buys their palace and takes his mother to it and he asks his mother if she wants anything else. She asks him to get married, so Suraj again opens the book to see whether his marriage will happen with Lilly or not. He then reads that his mother will die that night at 10 PM. To fulfill his mother's last wish, Suraj plays a marriage drama with Lilly, but accidentally his mother does not die and Lilly reveals all this drama which leads to his mother's anger and she stops talking to him until he really brings back Lilly as her daughter-in-law.

When Hatim finds out he gets angry with his father and tells his parents she is his wife. He goes to pick Rubab and brings her home. Hatim’s mother Fiza likes Rubab but his father does not. Eventually they move out because of his father as Hatim cannot stand her father insulting his wife. One day Rubab’s cousin and previous fiancé visits her showing her pictures of Hatim with a girl and tells her he has seen them together a lot. He does this on the saying of Hatim’s father who hired Rubab’s fiancé and his paying him to ruin Hatim‘s relationship. Rubab stops talking to Hatim as she thinks all this is true and Hatim asks her what’s wrong. She doesn’t tell him until he insists and he tells her all this is wrong and finds out his father did all this.

In "The Lover", when Toby casually says "Hey Jim," a stressed Jim snaps "Not now Toby! My God!" leaving Toby bewildered and hurt (Jim however had just been angered upon learning that Michael is dating Pam's mother behind their backs). In the earlier "Survivor Man", after Toby demands that he get a birthday party that Michael previously took away from him and a cake, a frustrated Jim says about Toby "He's great, but sometimes he can be a little bit much", showing that he sees Toby as being annoying sometimes, which is further proven in the episode "Dwight Christmas" in which he and Darryl immediately leave the kitchen when Toby starts talking about his work on the Scranton Strangler case (implying Toby never stops talking about it). Jim was aware of Toby's crush on Pam but never seemed very bothered by it, aside from the episode "Night Out" in which he is shown to be shocked when Toby awkwardly touches Pam's leg.

Michael speaks as a child during the beginning of the film, but while in Smith's Grove he stops talking completely. Rob Zombie originally planned to have the adult Michael speak to Laurie in the film's finale, simply saying his childhood nickname for her, "Boo". Zombie explained that this version was not used because he was afraid having the character talk at that point would demystify him too much, and because the act of Michael handing Laurie the photograph of them together was enough. Describing aspects of Michael Myers which he wanted to explore in the comic book Halloween: Nightdance, writer Stefan Hutchinson mentions the character's "bizarre and dark sense of humor", as seen when he wore a sheet over his head to trick a girl into thinking he was her boyfriend, and the satisfaction he gets from scaring the characters before he murders them, such as letting Laurie know he is stalking her.
